Stop Hiding in Preparation: Take Action and Launch
In Growth Notes, Frazier argues that businesses aren’t rewarded for having smart ideas, plans, or perfect marketing, but for putting things into motion while time and the market keep moving. He describes how people delay actions like making videos, building agent relationships, sending newsletters, hosting events, or launching referral programs by waiting for the “perfect” format, presentation, or CRM setup, and how planning can become a way of hiding. Frazier emphasizes the advantage of action: publishing something now creates real feedback and information that planning can’t provide. He encourages being willing to move without every answer, accepting early mistakes and low response as normal, and setting a clear deadline to launch one delayed idea today so it can be improved tomorrow.

Good morning, my friends. Happy Thursday and look, we're gonna get right into it. There are a lot of smart people in this business. They have good ideas, good marketing ideas, partnership ideas, content ideas. They have good systems that they wanna build. Good plans, smart plans for growing their business. But in my experience, it's a great conversation and this six months later, those ideas are still hanging out and there are no book on their desk. And that's the problem, because time does not stop. The market does not stop and neither of them are gonna reward you for having a good idea. It will reward you for what you put into motion. And I see this all the time, and from a grand scale into a small scale, right? They wanna start making videos,
but what do they gotta know? What's the right time and what's the perfect format? They know that they need to, or they want to, build better relationships with agents. But they're not gonna do anything until their marketing is perfect, the presentation is perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect. And this is my favorite one and I've talked about this. I wanna sit out of this messaging, and I wanna do all that stuff, but I'm gonna get lost in my CRM, right? Pick out, pick whatever it is, right? Just sending a newsletter, hosting an event, building a referral program, whatever it is. Great, when is it happening? When are you launching it? When is that going to press? Because my friends at some point that planning it ends up becoming hiding, right? And smart people are really good at hiding
inside preparation. It's like those people that you know that are like lifelong students, right? They're always getting another degree or they're researching forever, right? You could do that too, right? You can make this, you can make that, you could use Chatsby T for some more ideas, you could redesign the logo, you can change the headline, you can spend a month trying to figure out what equipment you're gonna buy, right? And you know the story, right? And while you're doing all of that, someone that's less than you in regards to resources, strategy, time, right? They're already there, right? They're already calling the agents, they're already shooting the videos. They've already done all the things that you're talking and planning about. That's the advantage of action, okay? You get information, whatever that happens to be, and let's say it's like a weekly video series, okay?
Now, you could spend the next month designing the perfect content strategy or you could just record one today, put it out, and see what happens. Did people respond? Did they engage? Did they share it? Did nobody care? Good, whatever it is. Now you have something that you know and you have something to approve on. And you're never gonna get feedback, important feedback for your business, if you're not participating in the activity, right? And when I say be bold, when I say take risks, I'm not talking like reckless abandon and doing something stupid, right? It just simply means be willing to move before you have every answer or accounted for every possible situation. My friends, guess what? You're gonna screw it up. There's something that's going to get screwed up. Your first video is gonna suck, right? Your first event may have one person, six people, right?
Your first email may get zero response. Your second email may get zero response, right? The first version of whatever it is is probably gonna be clunky. Be okay with that. That's fine. Because now you have something to approve, right? You can't improve something that only exists in your notebook, that only exists in your head. So look at your business right now. What idea are you sitting on? What have you been talking about for weeks or months? What have you been planning that still hasn't launched? What are you waiting to make perfect? And I don't care what it is. Just pick one. Give yourself a freaking deadline and just put it out in the world. You can make it better tomorrow. Today I'm asking you to make it real. My friends, I hope you have a great Thursday and I will see you all tomorrow. Take care.
