Follows the persistent efforts of a small dog to gain acceptance into a home. Despite Aunt Mathilda’s strict rule that animals must reside in the garage, the clever puppy repeatedly tries to sneak inside by hiding in grocery boxes, mail bags, and even among toys. Her dismissive attitude only changes during a scary storm when she is home alone and discovers a mouse in her parlor. Bingo, having secretly hitched a ride inside her knitting bag, springs into action to frighten the intruder away. Grateful for his protection, the aunt finally allows him to live indoors permanently. This Little Storyland Book concludes with the pup sleeping happily in the very bag he used to infiltrate the house.
