The left handed starting pitcher will now anchor a Phillies future rotation of Cristopher Sanchez with young phenom Andrew Painter, creating a bridge to the future with an agin Zack Wheeler & Aaron Nola. Dave Dombrowski and the Phillies front office made sure the player they traded for last year from the Miami Marlins didn’t hit free agency at seasons end. The Phillies now secure the future of one of the NL East’s better starting rotations.
