And you know, so I just from the big man's tears, I can let you know that's the last game of the season is Valentine's Day. So man, crazy. I'm excited. We're like, this is the time. Like I took my wife to Breckenridge, we went to a cabin over the weekend just before things got crazy. And I was like, you know what? All my days, you make sure what are you doing Friday? I'm like watching football. What are you doing Saturday watching football? What are you doing?

3:06I'm watching football, babe. And then Monday, I'm going to Kansas City. So let's go get a cabin man. I'm excited. It's here. It's finally here. The moment we've been waiting for since the season ended last year, let's go. I'm going to tell you guys what you need to do. I mean, obviously we are in full fledge football season, but like Sarah said, maybe we're 14. I mean, that's Valentine's Day. So you better make sure that you do all your garden work, do all your kissing up. If you're going to have that day to watch the Super Bowl, that's all I'm saying. I've already made a girl. I've made her readily known. I said, I think it was even like the Super Bowl last year. I was like, just so you know, like this next Super Bowl is on Valentine's Day. Like we'll do something before or after maybe even both, right? Maybe we'll get the double wambi there while I was in fun. But yeah, man, it's awesome. I went to a waffle house on Saturday morning and then I proceed to sit on the couch for about 12 hours and did nothing but watch football. And it was it was marvelous. It was so beautiful. It really was. How about those LSU Tigers?

4:08Man, man, dude, that was a heck of a game. I was telling Tony, I saw that a Boise State was up on Oregon at half time. I was kind of hoping that Boise State could pull it out. So I could have a little shirt set this year. You know, to go back to the fast and furious, that matter of you went by an inch or a mile, winnings, winning. And you almost like, you almost had the whole thing. We're like, dude, I almost had you. You never had me. You never even had your car. Just just just keep that same energy when it comes to the buffs because let's remember they won their game against George. Oh my gosh. George, you're going to take all the good tech is bad. They're terrible. But you know, good way for the buzz. Doesn't matter if you went by an inch or a mile. I'll say I'll say this about CU. It was really ugly. Until the end, it was an entertaining finish. Jude, you made a great throw when it mattered most. I liked how they actually ran the football. I thought the bus did a really good job. That's going to be their bread and butter. Run the dang ball. Everything else will follow. That's my thing. You know what's interesting about the bus, as we talk about them and how they established a run game. It seems quite similar to the Broncos and their ability to try to get the run game going.

5:13Don't you think? Hopefully, hopefully they can run the ball. We know they could throw it. Hopefully they can run it. That's going to be the biggest thing. And they have a defense. I'll say CU's defense up and down a little bit. It was it was weird. Like also George's tech, they look terrible compared to what we saw from them last year. What was it? Fernando Mendoza's brother at QB. Yes. His name is Alberto Mendoza. Exactly. Fernando. I will say this though, because this is a season preview. And I have to dip here early because I'm actually going to empower Phil to be testing all of the the new things are going to be at the stadium this year in terms of food. Some of the eating a lot. I wanted to say something Broncos country is coming out and I was so unhappy with it. We're doing this thing at the lockdown network. It's the ultimate season preview. And it was kind of a royal rumble feature with the top eight. There was a clear bias against the Broncos before we even recorded. And Broncos got eliminated from the very onset. Like we're only given 30. We're only given 30 seconds to say to change whoever's hosting its mind. Michelle Mujuk, she hosted it.

6:14We had 30 seconds to convince her. She came into it before we even recorded saying, I got to be convinced on Bonyx. I got he, you know, he was a big reason that they they were trailing in a lot of the games that they were in last year. I was like, do people I got to see that he's more than a game manager. And I was like, from the onset, I said, there's no way like there's clear bias here. And no disrespect, but it's clear. A lot of people actually didn't watch Bonyx. And so the Broncos got eliminated first within the first 10 minutes, irritating. I know this season preview is going to be much better. Cody, who are these people? Because how can you say that you did not watch the Denver Broncos? Because trailing that back into the season, you watched them against Buffalo. You watched them against the New York Patriots. So how I brought that up and say that you didn't watch. If you didn't watch, guess what? That means that you're not a football fan to begin with. I brought it up. I said, do we, I said, do we forget that that Bonyx out and Joe Marino was there locked on Bill Sos? I said, Joe knows we watch Bonyx do it with Josh Allen. We watched Bonyx lead a game winning drive in, you know, in, in overtime.

7:15We saw him lead a game time drive in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. And I said, and everyone even looked at it. It's like we saw what life was like without Bonyx and the AFC champs. You can go in the number or thing and look, here's a former offense. I'm Jamil Douglas. You know Jamil Nick. I said, Jamil, it's a former offensive lineman. You think if you can't run the football, like, what does that do? What does that do for you as a team? If you can't run the ball, it puts you in a lot of bad situations. I said, Bonyx was the reason the offense was going last year. So not, not very happy. I was fired. We need to talk to these, we need to talk to these individuals because codeys need better friends. It was coming out this week on the, on the lock on NFL podcast feed. Very, very irritating. Even Joe Marina said, I did not agree. I was like, Joe Marino, Joe knows ball. Here's the thing, guys, that I just realized the disconnect between so many people who apparently hate Bonyx and the Broncos for no reason is that they do not subscribe to the theology of Dom Toretto, which is that it don't matter when buy an inch or a mile.

8:16According to them, apparently, it does matter if you win by an inch or a mile because they're expecting the Broncos to win every game by a mile. And they're expecting the Broncos to have this distance created before the victory. It's interesting to me that it doesn't really matter that Josh Allen blew that game against the Broncos, but recklessness and carelessness with the football and multiple occasions. And yet here we are talking about how, oh, he's the best quarterback in the NFL, which I agree with 100%. I'm on board. I think Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL. But the reason why I'm able to say that is because of this little thing called perspective and a secondary thing that, you know, I actually watch football. And so I'm not saying these people don't, but what I am saying is that when you watch through the lens of having incorrect perspective, when you're waiting for somebody to fail, you're viewing them through the perspective of their perceived failures. Well, the Broncos are trailing because of Bonaix because my perception of Bonaix is that

9:19he's not as good as everyone seems to say that he is. So when you watch through that lens, you can't see reality. You can't see the forest through the trees. But because I believe Josh Allen is a perennial MVP candidate, oh, well, even though he blew it in the divisional round against Denver, he's still an MVP in my eyes. Well, I mean, let's, let's, this is real about it. People don't subscribe to that ideology that it doesn't matter if you win by an interim mile because to them, apparently, it really does respectfully to Michelle. She's a Steelers fan, by the way. And once again, you look at who she has this quarterback. That's not a 10 second car. That's a 10 minute car. Aaron Rodgers who can't even move anymore the way that he used to. I mean, that's the thing. It's like, how are you going to talk about a guy like Bonaix when you got Aaron Rodgers? You know, great in his prime. But Aaron Rodgers ain't even close to who he used to be. Plenty of simple. So that was frustrating for me. So Broncos country, that one will be a fun one. I do encourage you and be respectful. Don't be toxic.

10:20But let her know when you, the episode comes out that she was completely wrong on Bonaix and the Broncos and it shouldn't have been eliminated. It goes back to the point that I made and I got flamed about last week when I was talking about the Broncos still being viewed as a fly over franchise. Like as good as they have been and as many super balls they have, like the perception of them does not equal with the fan base things. And I think the fan base is more correct in the national perception. But that's just the reason I know people are coming after me in the comments. Like there's that's part of the reason as to why I said, what I said because the national media just doesn't understand how effective this Broncos and how good this Broncos organization is that might change. We'll see. But away we go. All right, let's have some fun on the show today. We're going to do Broncos record predictions. We're going to do Broncos versus cheese prediction. We're going to do Broncos offensive and defensive MVP. We're going to do most important game on the schedule and I want to get everyone to hear watching on YouTube involved in the chat as well. Why don't we come out swimming because I think it kind of sets the tone here.

11:20And I want to make sure Cody gets this one out. I'm curious just to what your record prediction is for the Denver Broncos here in this upcoming season. We can kind of go around the horn with it, give a line or two, and then we'll kind of trickle down to the other Broncos centric topics before we were away to the Chiefs Cody. I will start with you. What is your record prediction for the Broncos a season removed from winning 14 games? Hmm. It kind of bounces like it bounces back between two specific finishes for me. It's either 13 and four or 12 and five. That's kind of where I'm leaning right now. And it's tough because I feel like a brunt of their losses. I think maybe two of their losses, three of their losses will come in the first six weeks. Right. I think Denver. Worst case scenario for me. Worst case scenario, Denver will be three and three after the first six weeks. That's a tough stretch, at least on paper. But we don't know what these other teams are going to look like. So I've got them finishing anywhere between 13 to four. I've got them finishing anywhere between 12 and five. And I still think that even if they finish like that, if they don't get 14 wins, I still think they can be a better football team this year than they were last year.

12:23Even if the record might not even match how many wins they had last year. Yeah, I've got 12 wins minimum. I mean, 12 wins minimum for this team. That's, that's the quality of team that we're looking at. It's very difficult to win 14 games or 15 games on a year to year basis. I mean, I think that that's proven in recent history. Even we saw, I think the 2024 Detroit Lions won 15 regular season games and bam. They win nine games the next year. The Vikings in 2024, they won 14 games. Bam, they win nine games the next year. The Chiefs won 15 games last year. They win six this past season. So there's a ton of recent proof that winning that many games is just impossibly hard no matter what in the NFL. I think we're going to see the Broncos win at least 12, but I think that their margin for victory is going to be greater. Guys, go back and look 2024, 2025. The Broncos margin of victory is just slightly off between those two seasons, right? 2024 was I think 1.6 or 1.3 points per game more in terms of average,

13:27their average score per game for the Broncos was like 24 points compared to 18 or whatever it was. And the difference between 24 and 25 is minimal, but it was substantially, you know, it was bigger in 2024. And here's the deal. That margin of victory is going to increase big time this year. When the Broncos are there, they're going to be plus whatever it is on the, you know, their points scored versus points allowed. So even though their record might not indicate it, I think they're going to be a much better team like Cody said. See, I don't like to do a lot of those preseason predictions because like Sarah said, anything is capable of happening. You don't know what's going to happen as far as injuries are concerned. And then we know they have a tough stretch to open up the season, but here's what I will say. I have the bottom at or the floor at 10 wins. Now, like Cody said, and everyone is saying, I mean, it's hard to win an NFL. I don't care who you are. And this is including the Raiders into that conversation. And known as though that is the case, the Broncos going to have a couple of games

14:32where where they struggle because a lot of teams, they've gotten a lot better for as personnel is concerned, or even the coaching is concerned. And when you look at last season, the Broncos were 14 and three, seven and one at home. Man, those are high arts to actually beat. So prepare yourself for criticism for the Denver Broncos because the bar was already set high. So the fall short of that, that's going to elicit a lot of criticism. But like Cody said, this is a team that's not going to reach that same bar, but they're going to be a better statistical season, especially with additions with guys like Jalen Waddle. And all, you know, keep this in mind too as well. The charges were 11 and six last season. They were second to the Denver Broncos. That's a team that should be better. And we saw what Justin Herbert was last season with a banged up offensive line and oh, by the way, in so far stadium, they did beat the Denver Broncos. So it is not going to be the same, but it's still going to be 10 wins or more for the Denver Broncos.

15:33Washington, go away. I think a lot of 15 out of the blue. Yeah, that's you imagine. Dude, a lot, a lot would have to go wrong for this team to lose seven games. I mean, so when you talk about the floor being 10 wins, you're saying that, that this team, that this Broncos team could lose seven games in 2020. I think it would take a catastrophic injury or a series of injuries for them to lose seven games. This year, I just don't, I just don't, I can't see that. I can't see it happening unless your quarterback is hurt. I think they could win 10 games with Jared Stidham. I think they're that I don't think this Broncos team gets enough credit for as good and as talented as it is as deep as it is. They're so well coached like they were going to beat the Patriots in the AFC championship game with Stidham. If not for a Blizzard, taking out the entire second half of the, I mean, Jared Stidham outplayed Drake May in the AFC championship game, regardless of the stupid fumble. So I'm just saying we'll let's did miss several field goals too.

16:36I think we also let's kind of got off on that. You missed that. That's what it would be about the wing. Then it is wait, let's not do that because we know how we love the Broncos, but let's just be really honest. Everything that you guys are talking about can happen at any time to any team at any point in the season. That's why I'm saying, okay, I'm putting the floor at 10 with the possibility to actually kind of elevate yourself more because here's one thing that we know. We haven't seen the Broncos do. Now, if you tell me that they can do it consistently this year, I'm all in. Say, I know you 710 and 0 until we 17 to know, right? And that's run the ball. We haven't really seen it. I do they have the capabilities. We hope they are being able to do that. But once again, we know injuries can derail a team. Cody just brought it up when Bowen is didn't not play in that Patriots game. It changed every single thing. So last year, the biggest blessing for the Denver Broncos to fold their defense, which if your offense is not working, puts more pressure on them.

17:38And then too, they were healthy. So as we talk about this, let's be realistic. If anyone wants to pray and I don't know if you guys are religious people, I am. So let's put our hands together and let's pray that the Broncos are 100% healthy because if they are everything that you guys are talking about comes true. Yeah. Where they really were they healthy? Where they healthy? Who caught a touchdown in the division around of the playoffs? Little Jordan, why did he catch the touchdown pass? Because Troy Franklin was out because Pat Bryant was out. Who was running the ball in the playoffs? But whether you're not JK Dobbins, what you still had Arjun Harvey who had like five receiving touchdowns, you still had court and Sutton, right? You still had Evan England, even though they didn't use him that much. But then also the Kate Crusader, the guy who comes in in the clutch, Marvin Memes was still there, even though you didn't have Troy Franklin or Pat Bryant. Yeah. To good point.

18:38All right. Let's hit it with 10 gay. I don't see seven losses possible. Even even in a worst case scenario. I mean, that'd be I'd be shocked. I'm not predicting that. Say I'm not predicting that, but I'm just saying that I put the floor at 10. I like it. I like it. All right. Let's hit it. When we come back, we'll continue along the conversation. 22:52Smash that subscribe button really helps us out here on the channel. And I find myself in pretty much the same thinking as all of you. I it's funny when I first did the schedule. I had about 14 wins. I was like, you know, I got to probably work back here a little bit because I do think the broncos as Cody said could actually have a worse record, but be a better team. So I ended up on 12 and five as well. I think that first six week portion of the schedule is going to be a gauntlet. But what it's worth, the first game I have them lose is week two to Jacksonville. But I have them beating the Rams, which we'll get into. I know it's a weird mind games that I was trying to play there. But yeah, I have met 12 and five. So along the lines of you guys as well. But I do want to kind of keep it moving here. What do you guys think is the most important game on the schedule? Like if you had one game to kind of circle and say that's the one I'm watching. No questions asked or anything like that. Is there a specific game that stands out to you? Because there's a lot, right? There's the Rams, the Seahawks, the Patriots, the bills on Christmas, the Steelers on

23:53Black Friday, right? There's a lot of really high quality games on this Broncos schedule. So your opinion, what do you think is the most important game on the schedule? I would say week eight against Kansas City, the second chiefs matchup. I feel like it'll be a very defining point of the season. I think obviously the first six we know were very tough. But I think one of the most important games because it's your second game against KC. You do have a chance at that juncture specifically depending on what you do in week one, what you do in week five. Denver has a chance to go up three oh in the AFC West. And you have a chance to potentially sweep the chiefs early on the season. So for me, week eight against KC is going to be very, very important. Yeah, I think that that's a tough question because honestly, like you could look back at last season and you could say, well, that Raiders win, the ugliest win that we all saw all throughout the season was the most important one because it ended up being a victory against the Raiders. That was the difference between the Broncos and the Patriots for the number one seed. And so I think to me, the most important games could be taking care of business when you're supposed to.

24:57And beating the bad team, beating the breaks off the bad teams. Like I know that doesn't necessarily answer the question specifically. Maybe my specific answer would be either Buffalo or New England late because the stakes for that game are those games could end up being the number one seed once again. So those could end up being the most important given the context. But until we have that context, I think it's taking care of business in those AFC games, especially against the bottom feeders of the league, that you just have to take care of business and win the games that you're supposed to. Well, for me, it's going to be week three again, so the Rams. And here's why because we know the Rams are stacked top to bottom. When you look at their coaching staff, great coaching on both sides of the ball with Shula and Sean McVeigh, they do a great job of creating space and opportunity for their players. When you look at their roster, far as they're starting receivers to the tight ends, to the running backs, on the defensive side of the ball, they are primed to make a Super Bowl run. And just kind of, I'm just going to put this out there early.

25:59I know we're going to talk about the two teams and our predictions. But to me, this game is important because this is the same team that the Broncos will face in the Super Bowl and so far. So it's important to go ahead and get that win. And more importantly, it's a litmus test for where you are from an offensive standpoint. Notice I didn't say defensive. I said offensive. So you can stay in the test of that defense with Aaron Donnell, where Miles Garrett, and they got Trent McDuffey. And I know most people don't think a lot of Trent McDuffey because he's coming over from Kansas City, but I can tell you a quick, fast pass, speed up a quarter back and make him get the ball out of his hands and force him to make mistakes. So I'm going to go with the Rams week three. Yeah, and now there's that video going around on social media of someone training Miles Garrett out of hit people harder. You guys seen that one floating around? It's a run. I think it's rugby. How to rugby tackle. Yeah. And I was like, what are you doing? Like the guys are ready. Absolutely. Unit.

27:01It's good. You know, I'm going to find him, suspend him, get him out. I want to say the Rams too, but it's hard for me to stay that just because it's like not a conference rival. And I think Sarah's thought process and that'll kind of feed into the next question here. You know, if people are buying, I know we're not here on the show, but like nationally people are buying this charger stock, right? With McDaniel and now Herbert and the help of blind and Hampton. But if the chargers are as good as some people think they might be, that last game of the year could be pretty pivotal, right? But I was saying, did you notice the word you just said if captain, but anyway, sorry. I'm not all my breath where I'm just saying it could be. I think I got to go with the bills on Christmas, though. Just because I think you know Buffalo is going to be in the mix, right? Like Buffalo, kind of like how you're talking about more Broncos, right? Like we know Buffalo is going to be, as long as Josh Allen tells you, you know, a double jiblin team in the conversation for the division, in their conversation for the number one seed.

28:01And you just, you would think that because I'm not buying what New England selling personally, you just know Buffalo is going to be a team you're probably going to have to go up against if you want to get too super bowl, right? So I think that's probably the most important game on the schedule. But I'm curious, let's go around the horn here again. The toughest game on the schedule, I think is what Nick said, which is Los Angeles Rams. I think that is probably the most intriguing of the bunch. Just from a pure football perspective, I think Rams Broncos, early of the year is probably the toughest game on the schedule. Yeah, this will be my last one. I got a jet to the stadium folks, but I feel like the Rams game will be the toughest, just because of what we envision on paper. You get to former, I mean, last year's NFL MVP Matthew Stafford. Who knows about Pukin' Akul? He's too busy playing Mike Tyson in the off season, but we'll see if he's there for that game. He's chopping at the bit there. And obviously Devante Adams, the town there, talented run game, good personnel, offensively, good tight end room. So that's going to be a challenge in any factor in the defensive side of the ball, with Donald and Miles Garrett specifically. And before those guys are even on the team,

29:03that defense is pretty dang good without them. So that'll be the toughest game. I think that in the Buffalo Bill's game, it'll be the toughest game between those guys, if I had to give my choices out here. But those are my thoughts, Jens. I got a jet out of here. I can't wait to tell you real quick. Are they starting the season with a dub? I want to get that prediction. Yes, absolutely. They're going to go into Kansas City. They're going to win by at least 10 points. So that's my point. Yeah, nice. Okay, we shall see. That'll be a good night. I'm a good night. Hi. That'll be a good night. I like the pick. I'm actually taking the Seahawks as the toughest game on the schedule. I mean, you got a short week. It's a Thursday night game. And you're playing against the reigning Super Bowl champs. Mike McDonald's defense is very tough, very tough. And we saw that throughout the post season. We saw that throughout even the regular season last year. They can create turnovers. They can dominate games. They can they have just they're so fast at all three levels. They're so athletic. And they've got a lot of new pieces this year,

30:05which I think raises some questions. But with McDonald's calling the shots, I mean, I kind of feel like that Seahawks game on a short week. That's going to be a real tough one for sure. That's that's very interesting. Say it because right before that game, guess who Broncos play the charges. Yeah, the charges. Yep. They're at the charges. So once again, this is why I put the floor at 10 when the possibility to move on up and win more games. So this is what the NFL each week is about. It's each week is a competition. And it comes down to which team can actually close out games. It's interesting to me too, because like formula here in the chat says Seahawks D doesn't get enough credit. And I'll take it a step further. Like I don't think the Seahawks get enough credit as defending people with champions. Like you and I like we're all here talking Rams. This Rams that Garrett Donald Stafford Boocah,

31:05right? Like the list kind of goes on and on and on. Like that's going to be into your points there too. Like on a short week, like that's an incredible. It's a fascinating match to kind of sync your teeth into. And currently if I'm wrong, fellas, was Mike McDonald the coach in the game that Bo Nick started his first start in the NFL that week one game a few years ago? That was I believe that was his first game as as head coach. I mean, I mean, just look at that. I think so. Thank you, right. I believe, yeah, I believe so too. So, you know, first time they'll be able to meet up with each other. And obviously both coach and player and Bo and McDonald have grown tremendously, right? Like Bo, you'll let us see today. If you championship game, McDonald has let his team to the Super Bowl and the victory at that. So yeah, I think look, dude, there's so many games on the schedule. I think the one thing is when you look at the schedule, you have to take advantage of this softer part, right? Games against Arizona, Carolina, who I know is a division winner. But back to that, games against Carolina and Vegas. Got to take care of business there. And there's that three games stretched in between the Pittsburgh game and the Baltimore, or the Buffalo game Dolphins Jets Raiders.

32:08Those are three games you're definitely going to have. Oh, that's three wins, right? That's right. You think, right? You think? That's three. Yeah. Hope so. Come on, man. Come on. We talk about the Raiders. We're talking about the Dolphins. And we're talking about the New York Jets, one of my former teams. Come on, Nilo. No, I'm at least, I give them that three, those three wins right there. I do too. When I did my 12 and 5, those are all three wins for sure. Those got to be the double up games, like where you win 34, 17, or like, you know, 42 to whatever. I mean, those are like where you at least double up their score. That's what we expected from the Broncos last year when they played those bad teams, because they did it in 2024. They did it against the Falcons. They did it against all the, you know, a number of teams that they're supposed to beat. But they couldn't do it against, you know, those teams last season. They played down to the Jets. They played down to the Raiders. They played down to, so I think the fear is, well, they're going to play down to those teams again.

33:09I think they're going to be, I just think, yeah, the offense. I'm going to show it. I mean, I do. That's where those are the games where you pad your stats. That's where it's into the season. You hit your incentives, right? Like every player knows what their incentives are. So you go into that three game slate, like, okay, yeah, I got that bonus, got that bonus. Mom's going to get a new car here. This one too as well. That's what we talking about. I love it. I love it. I love it. All right, let's hit a break when we come back. All right, offensive and defensive MVP. I'll start with what Dary and said in the chat. He says other than Bo and PS2, I'm going to Pat Bryant and Talon O'Hoofonga.

36:15I think both are in for big years. I like both of those names as well. You can say both. You can say PS2. But I'll start with you, sir. Who do you think is going to be the MVP of the offense and the MVP of the defense? Well, I'll go away from Bo and PS2 as well, because I think those two guys are the obvious answers. I'll say offensively, the MVP for me is going to be Jalen Waddle. I just think that he is that one guy who he can change everything for this offense, the missing piece, the secret ingredient, whatever you want to call it. I mean, he is that guy for a reason. They traded first and third round picks to get him for a reason. You get that guy. He adds that element of explosiveness to your offense. He takes pressure off the other receivers. He can prevent defenses from stacking the box as much as they did last year against the run. He can help open things up for everybody else and he can help unlock the quarterback as well. So Jalen Waddle to me is that offensive MVP defensively. I'm going with Riley Moss because we know nobody is going to target it as much as Riley Moss once again this season. If he takes a leap in his game, he's able to pick off five or six passes.

37:18I know that's a lofty. He's only got two interceptions in his career, but if he can pick off five or six this year, he's going to be the catalyst for what the Broncos want to accomplish defensively, which is creating more takeaways. And I just believe that he is the guy who's going to have to be the one to kind of get that jump started because he's going to be targeted more than anybody else. So those are my two MVP's Jalen Waddle and Riley Moss. Well guys, my MVP is not an individual player, but it's a group and it is the damn run game. Because here's what I know from my days playing for the Denver Broncos in Mike Shanahan. Everything started and began with the run game. See, the difference between Sean Payton and Mike Shanahan is their philosophy. What his philosophy was, he passes the ball to run the ball. Mike ran the ball to pass the ball. Because when you start to run the ball, now that safety's got to creep up. Now you get those 101 matchups. Now I'm the shallow cross to the tight end. It's all open. It's the smallest sport gentlemen.

38:20It is basking in Robbins 31 flavors and your offense is all open. So you got to get the running game started. That is JK Dobbins, RJ Harvey, Jonah Coleman. Right? I mean, you want to say one guy is going to be the lead dog in the clubhouse. I don't care. All I need is this ground game to get on track. And what Sarah said about Jaylon Waddle, well, it's going to open up so many pass and lanes for him. So for me, offensive MVP, the run game. Now, let's get to the defense. I've been pounding the table for this for two years and I'm going to still stand on my soapbox and pound it for that Maghava defense. That's right. I said the Maghava defense. If you wonder why I call them the Maghava defense, they always come through in the clutch just like the character Maghava. If you don't know the hell I'm talking about, go ahead and you too. What? But the Maghava defense, if this defense is able to not get as many sacks, I mean, not turnovers. I mean, let me back her for a second.

39:20I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm so excited. So it's not the sacks. It's the turnovers. So I'm expecting the sacks to go down with the turnovers to increase. So when the turnovers increase, guess what? That's more opportunity for Jim and Walter. That's more opportunity for the run game to get on track. And now you play Keepaway. Your defense is taking away, given it to you. Now, the ground game plays Keepaway. And then my home's Herbert, Aaron Rogers, Josh Allen. Now, they're standing on the saw line with the clipboard going, gosh, don't it. I wish we could stop them. But guess what? No, you can't. So, yes. I got a little excited about that one. I love it. Got to calm down. Got to calm down. I love it. Oh, I love it. I love it. I'll start with defense. And it's a guy that I've talked about a few times over the course of the offseason. I think the most underrated player on the Broncos and one of the most underrated players in the NFL. I'm going Zach Allen, man. I think Zach Allen is just once again going to be a one man wrecking machine

40:21up front there on the defensive line. I think part of the reason you're going to see the Broncos generate a lot more turnovers is because of the pressure that Zach Allen is going to put on opposing teams offensive lines. Obviously Nick Benito too, but I just think Zach Allen, that's that lunch pale blue collar mentality when it comes to playing on the defensive line at the position that he plays. So, I'm going Zach Allen outside of PS2 because I think we all understand what PS2 is, but I think Zach Allen is in for a big year again. And you know what? I want to say Jalen Waddle and it probably will be Jalen Waddle outside of Ponyx. You guys know I've been high on court of the sudden. But I'm going to manifest this because I reached for it in fantasy. I think we got a breakout year coming from RJ Harvey. I really do. RJ Harvey man, like just what I saw on the preseason on that wheel route touchdown. We've talked about how he's kind of like that album Camera type. What is what is J.K. Dobbs going to be health wise? What is Jonah Coleman look like in his rookie season? I think the one constant there is an all purpose back is RJ Harvey man. I'm just expecting big, big things from RJ. And I think J.K. if he stays healthy, right?

41:23The promise that he made could very old be J.K. But I just think RJ has the most breakout potential of a player on this Broncos offense. Because we've seen Waddle do it. Right? We've seen Sutton do Sutton do it. We know what Bow is, right? I think Pat Ryan's a nice receiver too. But what does that maybe look like? I think RJ Harvey might be a guy that when we get to the end of the year, I'm like, wow, we got ourselves a real deal running back here on top of Dobbs and Coleman. So I'm going RJ Harvey with my offense of MVP and breakout. I'm not looking at I'm not looking at the thread, but I would guess that there are people in the thread who don't really like what you just said because they don't really think RJ Harvey has those capabilities. I'm a believer, bro. I'm a believer. Preseason and two. It can't tell me a lot. I'm a believer as well. So I want to ask you a follow up question to that over under 999 yards from Scrimmage for RJ Harvey this year. Yeah, 896 last year. I'm going over.

42:24I'm going over. I just think I'm telling you man, especially if Dobbins go even if Dobbins does go down. I just think there's a vision. We've talked about it, right? Dobbins and Coleman, I think, have a shared vision. RJ, I think is kind of his own thing and I think he could just kind of be their secret weapon out of the backfield. And I mean, he was a touchdown machine last year for this Broncos team as a rookie. Like I think Davis wet and that's what Sean Payton's offense, which I know, it's kind of tailored to a service into that position. But I just think the best is yet to come for RJ Harvey. And I think this guy, like I said, could be a Camara 2.0 double the touchdowns over a thousand yards on purpose. I just again, this is I think what it's sealing is, but I'm manifesting it. RJ Harvey, all the way. Let's go. Well, you know what? It's interesting that you talk about RJ Harvey. Then you bring up Adam Camara because when you think about Sean Payton's offense, even though I know Davis wet would now be called in place, Sean is going to be involved. We might as well just kind of kind of keep that out there. He's definitely going to be involved. So with that said, and then also looking at RJ Harvey, what he did inside the red zone.

43:26See, he's going to be great in the screen game. And that's why you pick up so many explosive plays in the screen game, which means that now you're going to need your tight ends to block. You're going to need your Y receivers to block. If we get those two things, what you just said about RJ Harvey could, in fact, come through a Nilo. Come on. I can't come through. I ever know. You never know. I believe, dude. I believe. Like I said, I think it'll probably be Waddle. I do. But I just think RJ Harvey has the most uncapped potential. Right? I think something that we haven't really seen. So I'll leave it at that. I think the great part about the discussion is, is there's many different avenues you could go. I mean, we've heard Pat Bryant's name. We've heard obviously Bonnicks. We've heard RJ Harvey. We've heard Jalen Waddle. We've heard the run game in general. I mean, there's so many different ways that you could go. We didn't even talk about Sutton as an option, right? To be the offensive MVP, even though he led the team in total yards last season. I think there's a case to be made for so many guys that could be in these categories

44:30on either side of the ball, which is exciting. What's cool for the Broncos right now in terms of where their roster is at is that you're at a point right now where you're, you're so expecting the stars to be the stars that we don't have to call out Pat Surtan as the possible MVP. We didn't even, I know somebody in the chat said Nick Bonito, but Nick Bonito's name, where was that at? I mean, so Hufanga's name came up. Zach Allen's name came up. We could talk about Justin Sirnaid being a first year, a first time full-time starter at linebacker and the numbers that he's put up when he's been given opportunities. So what can he do as a full-time starter? I mean, there's so many different avenues you can go down, which I think is indicative of just how good this roster is. And the fact that they're fully healthy going into week one is inviable, I think, for the rest of the league to look at and say, hey, this Broncos team, we already knew they were going to be good, but they're fully healthy on top of being good and top of being deep.

45:32On top of being, you know, they have that continuity on the roster. They have championship game experience now. That's a scary thing for the rest of the NFL to be looking at. But, Sarah, but did you hear how many times you said it? If I was counting correctly, you mentioned health four times in what you said. And that is the key. The Broncos being healthy last year, they were nicked up. Yeah, and play this game, you got to play both hurt and injured. You got to push through certain things. But if the Broncos were to sustain a major blow to a key player, any of the guys that we're talking about offensive of defensive MVP, that changes the trajectory of the outcome of the season and where the team can be. So that's why I say, man, if you're going to pray for something, right? If there's a touchdown, Jesus near you, there's a gold dome. I don't know who it is. That's what you want to pray for, right? If you got Joe Blue on the side, pray to him too,

46:33but you want to make sure that this team is healthy. And hopefully you guys smile so you get that reference. I don't know if anyone else. No, I love it. All right, let's hit our final break. I know Cody and Sarah will have you covered throughout the course of the week with so much more kind of in-depth conversation about the Broncos and the Chiefs matchup, which I think is a fascinating one, right? Sean Payton yesterday met with the media and talked about how the expectation is they're playing against a fully healthy Patrick Mahomes. They've got Kenneth Walker, Travis Kelsey's back. Lost a couple of pieces on defense. An interesting tone setting standalone game on Monday night football. Sarah, the floor is yours.

49:35Broncos started the season out with the dub. Absolutely. I mean, I would never pick the Broncos to lose a game. Realism be darned in this instance. I don't care. Like I said, 17 until we ain't, I think that the Broncos are going to win this game. I mean, they're going to they got to go to Kansas City. It's a hostile environment. Everybody's starting with a clean slate. That place is going to be very loud. And the Chiefs are going to be juiced up and ready to try to prove everybody. Like, hey, last year was a fluke. So for the Broncos to go in there and just expect to cakewalk this team, I don't think it is going to happen. Especially because Patrick Mahomes coming back, you know, there's the potential that this is Travis Kelsey's last season with the team. I mean, who knows what could all be going on, but the emotions are going to be running high. And frankly, the Broncos have had the Chiefs number since Bonix became the starting quarterback. They should be 4-0 against Kansas City. They're only 3-1 because of a blocked field goal from chip shot range

50:37or the Chiefs had lost the game essentially. So, but they didn't ultimately. Can't say that was a win. There's no moral victories there. But at the same time, I think they're going to go in there and get a win in this game. It comes down to what Alex Singleton said. Stopping the run because Mahomes ain't going to throw the ball 40-45 times in this game. If he is, then Andy Reed is, you know, lost his marbles. Because if you have Mahomes dropping back 40-45 times in this game, you're asking for him to re-injure the knee. They're going to lean on the running game. They're going to lean on Kenneth Walker. They're going to lean on the quick passing game. They're going to try to nullify the Broncos past rush with, you know, they're just going to try to get the ball quickly and not allow them to rush the passers. So, I think we're going to see an aggressive approach from Vance Joseph and that defense. I think the Broncos are going to make a little statement offensively in this game. I get to young Kansas City defense. Yeah, I got the Broncos definitely win this game. But it's not going to be an easy one. I could tell you personally from playing and, you know, Arriad, it is loud and is very hard to win in that particular place.

51:40And knowing this, though, you have Eric B. Enemy who's coming back after everything that's happened with him. And he's had a tumultuous offseason. They definitely want to make sure they have a great showing in front of their home crowd. And say, I know you're saying that they're going to run the ball. And that's exactly what the Broncos think that they're going to do. But they're going to use Kenneth Walker to once again create space in the passing game. So, they're going to actually force Kenneth Walker to get some of those 101 matchups. And this is where Alex Singleton, Justin Strunart, they have to tackle well and they have to tackle well in space because we know Kenneth Walker's in a different uniform. But he has the same mindset. He's going to run through you around you and run over you if he needs to. So, they have a very talented roster. So, Brockles Fansham going there, oh, Garretty Victory is going to be easy. No, they're going to fight back because you still have Chris Jones, who's trying to make up for the mistake he made last year on Thursday night football. When Chris Ola Doakin, their 13 quarterback almost beat the Denver Broncos if it wasn't for

52:42Chris Jones jumping off side. So, this is always, you know, anytime you're playing a division of game, it is going to be tough. And you're playing a division of game on Monday night football. It is going to be loud and I expect Patrick Mahomes to come out with a certain type of fire because he's trying to prove everyone's wrong because he got injured. And he feels as though the statistically from the offensive side last year, he feel a lot of that was his fault. So, he's going to come on and try to play a clean game. Here's what I would recommend for Vance Joseph. And most people want to think this, the first play of the defensive side of the ball, I'm going to blitz it just to see where he's at. And I want to do a certain type of blitz, not to allow him to get outside, but force him to step up into the teeth of the defense where there may be a DJ Jones or a Zach Allen. So, that's how I'm predicting that this game, but it's going to be one hell of a game. And don't be surprised if it comes down to a two-minute offense,

53:43in which team can match the two-minute offense and which kicker can come through in the clutch with a game on the line. I love it. I love it. I kind of just retweet and echo everything you guys just said. Like, you guys know, I did the Fantil read a little while ago. I like to play the number sometimes. And I'm looking at the board for week one, right? And the only thing that doesn't make sense to me is Broncos on the road against the cheese with the Broncos being an underdog. And the reason I bring that up is less from the betting perspective, but how many times do we see these games end up so close to the number that big is set, whether it's the total or the spread, whatever it might be? I just think Denver's the better team straight up. I'll be honest, I don't think Denver's blown them out in this game. I think it's going to be like a 24-20-23-20 willots, walk-off, feel-go-like type of game. I think it'll be back and forth. I think there's going to be some moments where the Bronco fan is bashed their head into the wall. I think there's going to be some other moments where the Bronco fan is on life, right? And this offense looks great. I think it's going to be a mixed bag. And I look, I don't think Kansas City's as good as they once were obviously, but I still think they're going to be able to keep the game closed.

54:45But this is a game that I've had certain when I counted with the moment, the schedule came out, especially when I saw that Denver was going to be the underdog. I love Denver in this game. I really, really, really love Denver in this game. I think that of the first six games of their schedule, this is the most winnable in my opinion. I think San Francisco will be tough. Rams will be tough. I think the Siox will be tough. The Jags obviously like this is the game, I think, that is the easiest to win in my opinion. So I think they start out the season one and oh. So we're all unanimous. Cody said before he had to talk to, he's got the Broncos in this game. So we're all unanimous. Four and oh on the Broncos to start the season. We shall see. All right. That brings us to the big picture. Do we think the Broncos are representing the AFC in the Super Bowl? We could go a little Super Bowl prediction here. Is it Broncos versus who? Is it someone on the AFC versus someone else in the NFC? The floor is yours, Sarah. Give me a little Super Bowl prediction. Call your shot here on September the 8th.

55:47Yeah, why not us? I mean, why not Broncos Rams for the Super Bowl? Those are two teams that were in the thick of it last season. They got better this off season. They've got great coaching. They've got coaches who have been to the mountaintop before. They've got the combination of star power and roster depth. You've got guys who can pick up the slack. You've got balance with a great defense and a clutch offense. I mean, so you've got all the makings to there for Broncos Rams Super Bowl. I'd be disappointed if the Broncos don't get there to be honest with you. I mean, I don't think there's any reason why we shouldn't be disappointed. Like I said, there's no moral victories for this team. Getting to the AFC championship game last year was really cool because the Broncos haven't been there since the Peyton Manning era. But now that you've proven that you can get there and you've tasted and you didn't have bonics for that game and you feel like, okay, if we had bonics, then blank. We all fill in that blank with if the Broncos had bonics, we think they could have won that game easily.

56:48And maybe done something different against the Seahawks than what the Patriots did. I don't know what would have happened, but I think ultimately, it's fair to be disappointed if the Broncos don't win the Super Bowl this year because they are that good. They have assembled that good of a team and all of the ingredients are there to do it. If they're healthy, like Nick said earlier, I mean, it all comes out to luck of the draw when who's healthiest at the end of the year? Who's able to string together the most the majority of their 53 man right now is going to be there at the end? Who's who's that team going to be? I think if the Broncos have their health and if they have their quarterback, there's no reason why they shouldn't be representing and winning the Super Bowl in my opinion. Yes, health being the number one, I guess, topic. Yes, if the Broncos are healthy, they should be right there. And why not? Why not keep it all in the family? You got the pen and zone one side. You got the cronkeys on the other side, you know, keep it all in the family. And these two teams,

57:50this is why I went back to week three saying that's kind of my most important game, what I want to see because it's an early test for what I'm predicting is going to take place on February 14th. Now the two teams actually, they have to make it come to fruition with production and health. But yeah, why not? Why not the Broncos? And I'm not saying this because I'm an next player. I'm not saying this because I'm on this podcast. I'm not saying this to appease the players, but it's just the mentality. It was a mentality that I had when I arrived here. It was a mentality that I still have that because it's like, hey man, no matter where we play you in the sand pit and the Walmart parking lot, we're going to beat you. You know what? That has to be the mindset and that has to be the standard because not getting to the Super Bowl to me, that's a losing season, right? Now, obviously, you do a lot to get to that point, but it's a losing season because that's the pinnacle. That's where you're trying to get to. And that is what Mr.

58:52Bowlin and what Mark Shenahan established. So it's not about falling back and, you know, this is not the year, maybe next year. No, based on what they did with this roster bringing everyone back and adding some rookies and adding Jaylon Waddon, they're saying that right now, right now, right now, we're trying to win. Right now, we're going to win. So don't fall back over that off that, but so far, then we're Broncos, Los Angeles Rams and the Super Bowl for the battle for it all. Well, they say great minds think alike. That's exactly where I'm going to. I think it's going to be the Walton Panner versus the Crocky Bowl. I think it's going to be awesome and so far. And like, look, man, like there's a chance the Rams don't make it. There's a chance the Broncos don't make it, right? Like let's keep it a buck. But I think kind of just in sync with everything that you guys have said, I think that the Broncos do what they're supposed to do. They have a great chance to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. I just think the Rams with that defense is going to be borderline unstoppable as well as with the reigning defending MVP and Matthew Stafford,

59:55especially a pukka to keep his head on straight, right? So on paper right now, that's my pick. I think it'll be Broncos Rams and Sofie. So we'll see if it shakes out. I got one more quick one before we get out of here. Who do we think is the biggest threat to the Broncos in the AFC? Who's the team that, you know, maybe you're most worried about or, you know, this is the team that you think could pick the Broncos off from the playoffs. Like, is it the Chiefs? Is it the Chargers? Is it the the Bills? The Raven? The Texans? The Bangles? Right. There's a lot of really good teams in the AFC. What team do you think could prevent the Broncos from representing the AFC in the big game? I think they're greatest equal right now and the AFC is Buffalo. And we saw that last year. It took them down to the wire to beat them last year. I think it takes everything that you've got to beat a Josh Allen lead team. I mean, we've seen that even in his playoff failures, it takes everything you got to beat that guy. I think Buffalo is that team. Although I would say to me, Houston is a close second. So I'll take Buffalo as the number one threat, but that they to that that's that team

1:00:58right now that I would say, okay, if not the Broncos, I think Buffalo is representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. Now my biggest threat is Texans won Chargers 2. Right. So with the Texans, your only question is CJ Shrye. And what they said, well, what they decided to do the help, CJ Shrye was they brought him David Montgomery and we watched David Montgomery kind of split carries with Jameer Gibbs and Detroit, but now he would be the RB one. So we can expect them to do what? Run the ball. Why? Because Demica Ryan's was with Kyle Shanahan and San Francisco. And what he knows is when you run the ball, you shorten the clock, you keep the opposing quarterback on the opposite side. And also you got a hellacious defense that turns the ball over at a high clip and they know what to do with it. So when you're able to get after the quarterback and you can flip turn over into points, that is trouble, trouble, trouble. And the reason I say also to say to Chargers,

1:01:59I think they're going to be a lot better, you know, just in her with this year, Officer Lyme was banged up, he was still competitive, he was still making throws on the lot of the rest, but a lot of that is going to change. Why? Can you sense the theme? Mike Shanahan, you got a guy who can call plays, right? And McDaniels. And he's going to stick to the script with everything he learned from being around Kyle and Mike. And that starts with the run game. So if the Broncos, for whatever reason, starts to adopt that and that's running the ball, that's why I said, the Office of MVP for the Denver Broncos should in fact be their office, because if they do now all of this sets up for them, just like it was set up for the Chargers, and it was set up for the Houston Texas, but I use some Texan defense man. That's scary. That's scary. Yeah. Houston is one that comes to mind. Obviously Buffalo too. I just don't think you could sleep on the Jacksonville Jaguar either, right? I'm curious as to what they're going to be with Liam Cohen,

1:02:59but just kind of that bad taste in my mouth of what happened last year. And look, I'm kind of drunk on them. I can't lie to you, but if they hit the right way, the Cincinnati Bengals could be a problem, right? They revamp their defense a little bit. I'm a big Joe Barrow guy. They got Chase. They got Higgins. They've got Chase Brown in the backfield. Again, kind of like the Chargers. It's a big if they reach their full potential. I think they could be a problem. But we know and we believe that if the Broncos reach their full potential, they should represent the AFC. We got to send a Nilo to A8 with all this drinking. I'm drunk on the Bengals, man. What can I say? I've been buying their stock for Joe Barrow. You know, it's been in the league. I've always been high on the Bengals, but we shall see. All right. Awesome show today, gentlemen.
