Friplane footy lives on listener thanks to McDonald's and Rainhead order. The NRL finals are on triple M and we've got all the goss behind the scenes news on and off the field from press conferences to inside the locker rooms. On triple M, this is NRL Daily finals edition. Welcome to triple M NRL Daily here on a Wednesday to very special edition of triple M NRL Day because we have two legends in the house, two rivals in the house, the one and only Danny Wadda, the one and only Buzz Ruffield. How we going, Lance? Good to be back, Charlie. I heard Buzz is taking over the Wednesday podcast. He said he needed to clear that last week. He said, no, I didn't say that. I filled in for you. I'm still in retirement. You're doing some training course, the channel nine, Charlie. And I don't want to dip two heavy into the masoperates this year. I've agreed to come and take a plenty.
No, no, no, no, no. 50 years at news club. They'll be bringing out money, breaks out of the wall. I don't have to long down. I can't. That's fair. How did the video editing course go, Danny? You a video editor? I don't think the listeners or the viewers really care about how I went. Look, how do you reckon when, Charlie? Terribly. You've seen me on the phone, right? You've seen me try to work a computer. I write my entire column on my phone with my, with my thumbs. That's how I use the laptop. I don't like them. I don't like. I don't like technology. I don't like laptops. So I just. Is that a champion? If you're. Yeah. So that's what I mean. I'm more of a dinosaur than you. That's saying something. So I've spent two weeks learning how to do something. And my boss isn't nine. I'll be very happy that I've forgotten everything that I learned. The small amounts of small amounts that I did. So I'm in trouble. Yeah. It could be the end of me, Charlie. Yes. We've come a long way from top riders. We've come a long way just personally the two of you to be sitting here in this room together.
Charlie, we're getting to know just got a text. Yes. And now what time is this podcast comes out about two o'clock. Okay. So today, the bank of South Pacific, I got to be named as the sponsors of the PNG chiefs on the front of the jumpers. Wow. Five million dollars. Wow. A year. So. A year. Yep. That's what I mean. Todd's toll. The. Jammy's come good. Well, lawnmower person did the deal apparently. So. She's great. I pray. Yeah. So it's embargoed until a bit later on. But. What's your normal front of Jersey? Well, I think I think the bears with the bears are trumpeting recently. I could be wrong. Curtis might be able to tell us. But six million for their whole jump. And that was considered huge. That was considered the best in the game. Yeah. So five million just the front. That's going to set some clubs. It made it's going to be so hard like a club like Cornala with the courier company on the front. They're getting about a meal. Yeah. Well, so well. The whole Jersey, they get more.
But the bull logs even some of the bull logs with what the law and the. The law and the famed. Which I don't know. There'd be one point five Mac. But that's Max, right? That's that's the front of their Jersey. And if PNG getting five, they're not in the comp yet. And they're already getting the money. Yeah. That's going to drive clubs nuts. Now what about Harry's walked into this podcast and thought I'm going to out scooping? No, I just got a text. Hey, I saw me looking my phone. Well, I got a bit of mouth to the. Good. Oh, now I'm not going to drop it now. We've got a run sheet. No, I can drop it now. But now I'm going to be scurried. This is the perfect. That's got huge. That's fantastic. And look, this is where the land is. It's so good. And with all this experience, he didn't he wanted new money in rugby league. And this is new money when the dolphins came in. They didn't pinch any Broncos money. They put kings on the front. They were the first time they'd ever been in rugby league. It's fantastic. So imagine what their jump is going to be worth when they get everything done.
And this is I think if this money starts now before they're actually in the comp, which is huge. I don't know if it goes for a few years. Lawonomic versus other great thing. I put PNG doing that. And that's fantastic. That's the good thing is I think the way long term the funding will be set up with PNG is there. It'll be a sort of not for profit organization. And that money will be reinvested into pathways and PNG. And general to mean that they don't like a private ownership. It's a owned by the NRL at this stage. Yeah. Yeah. I'm still I was I've still got a big issue with where I was born out of. I don't like it's a political team. I mean, I get it's got a greater purpose and all that sort of stuff. But it does annoy me that it came from Albo ringing PVL saying we need a team. And and and doesn't feel right to me. And the only reason the team got over the line was there was a sweetener for their existing 17 clubs.
Yeah. I got four million dollars a day. Crazy. A concession of you know tax-free money up there. Yeah, they are regretting. Of course they are. If you were 10 years younger, right? And they came to you to be a role like Chami's. Would you have done it? No, really. I love, I love journalists more than more than the coin tax-free coin. Oh, I don't know what chamiya. Chamiya on big. Chamiya tells you everything. Well, I reckon $3. Oh, yeah. Yeah. All the staff there are tax free. Everyone. Yeah. Well, maybe you got there and run a radio station. Good idea. Good idea. I'll call Chamiya after the show. We try to get it a challenge. Try to get it a me before. Yeah. You want to get it a challenge. I'm really I'm really glad you opened up with a scoop. Because what? Well, I am because the producers want to open up with a feud. Yeah, well, that's right. I'm standing few. Well, I'm sick of talking out of my feud with you. Well, we've already done it for joy. I know. Yeah. What did you raise for joy? I just put out about $160,000 for joy.
And all went straight to joy, which is great. That is great. Yeah. That is great. His family, which is family. How good is that the other day, Buzz? I was I cried. I'm sorry. I just got the better on me. Why are you sorry? It's normal. Yeah. You're out to cry, Buzz. And it's shown a really interesting side of Wayne Bennett to me. We don't like Wayne that much. No, it's not that I don't like Wayne. He doesn't like me because I exposed him during COVID for being in a restaurant when he's been a bean, grappa, and he got to see the other person. No, I wasn't, but someone there told me. When our ex-Johnson broke his record at the start of the year, I thought Wayne was a fun sheriff and he encouraged people not to run onto the ground. Well, when they all invaded the pitch there, that was the greatest moment ever at that stadium. In my opinion, the new stadium. Yeah, the new stadium. You know, to see that. And he was so against it. And then we move on to Joy Arrow and Wayne's role in what we've seen up at the Gold Coast
and at Arleyser, is so bloody special and my... I've never disliked Wayne. I just haven't got on with Wayne. We still take that pleasure. I'm having a fraction of him, haven't you? Over the years. Oh, what do you mean? I'm going to each to call him, didn't you say he's calling us sleepin' team meetings and stuff? Well, he was. I'm sorry for supporting the fact. I'm sure he enjoyed reading that. Well, that was true. You'd give a full sleep in years, called. I tell you why I got the shirts to Wayne a little bit. When he came down to Coach St George's first time, I'm said about 2018, the comp of 2010. We spoke every week on the phone because he got out of that Brisbane hub he was in and he wanted connections and said, we spoke every week when he went to Newcastle, we spoke every week. Then he went out to Brisbane and he completely brushed me. He didn't leave me anymore. I said, then why don't I come out to Brisbane next week and I'll do an interview with you? He said, you can come to Brisbane but I'm not doing an interview.
But you got to realise how role. I know you... I know that my role, when I quit one day, you might be different to you, but I know that my phone won't be ringing with the X amount of people wanting to talk to me because I know that I'm a useful device for them and I don't expect. You're very, very powerful, man. I'm not a powerful man. You're on the news. You've got your bloody nasty little column. Have I woken people? You want me to be back in there? I know as a journalist that certain people will contact me because they want something. I know that. That was the same with many of you. You've got to accept that. So don't expect Wayne Dupin. He's a house door for you. No, no. But can I just say I've been pleasantly surprised like I had a big contact book. As you do. As you do because of the daily telegraph master's tip, because I worked with the tele and I had good real estate with that double page
of Sunday and the other one on Monday because I was on an hour of free. You were like the most powerful like there. I had a lot of outlets and I thought when I retire, I'm going to lose all these people. The contact book will just be nonexistent. I've been pleasantly surprised. But you've got mates outside of the game, right? I mean, that's the, I, that's who, you know, I spend time with my mates. I've known for 50 years like I grew up with it. I know that I don't, I don't expect people to want to stay in touch with me when I'm not useful for them anymore. And it's a job. You do make some mates. But, you know, I had a lot of mates in me. Yeah. Well, you might be different to me, I think. Yeah. But I still taught the PBL. Maybe once a week, once a port just say, good, I had a gown, I used to meet that and a rabdo, the sharks, I'm taught with. Disturring, disturing Graham Mannington, and the sharks get a dud decision and give it to him. No, no, no. Like you do me a garden, you used to do that, didn't you? I promised him when I retired.
I would never, ever call him again. But you used to ring him, didn't you, and give him a spray? Like what are you doing? Oh, we got dudded. There's other texts, mostly to our spray, yeah. That's pretty funny, Eric. It was a funny. I'm sure, I'm sure they don't miss you. Well, what short term? How do you? Well, as a kid, I was a rooster. You're a rooster. Oh, I thought it. You're a dog. You're a bulldog. Hey, dog, dog, dog, dog, walk, or. You're a bulldog. I love you're a dog. You know what? You know what? You don't have to. Get that dog. You're a shark. That's a tie on podcast. I am. You're a bulldog. No, I'm not. I like success for people I like in the game. Yeah. So like when I will say when the sharks were having that run, I was very close to Paul Galen. Yeah. And Flanner at that time. Yeah. So I was, yeah, really on board, but the sharks were doing. As a kid, yeah, I was, you know, I was a rooster supporter. As a kid, I got my start writing in the local paper in the Eastern suburbs. Yeah. And I wrote a rooster's magazine or sort of thing. So yeah, I was tight with them, but I also have four lats with them, you know.
I'm not like you. I don't go holiday with degrees, Nick Pilitis. You know, he didn't deny that. No, I'm going to tell you because a lot of people dream me up. Two years ago, my wife and I and kids went to Kithra. Which is magnificent. Nick's home island. Nick Pilitis was born. Peter Valandis was born. Nick Papas. No, I don't think Nick Papas from Kithra. But I did go and have a look at Nick's house at Kithra. I never stayed there. And you didn't make it off for it to bite or anything. No, no, no, I didn't. What was it like? I should have bought my what if documents. What would you imagine it's like if you're a little worse than me. I would have bought it. I would have bought it. I would have bought it. I would have bought it. What would you imagine it's like if you're a little worse by many billion dollars. I'll show. Is it like, like, like, your recent suburbs? Is it like one of those? How do you live, Rosemary? No, no. What do you live? Why do I live? Why do I live? I live. So I live in Clarke's. I live in Bondi. As Luke.
And he likes to call me on one of his many shows where he wraps me up. Danny from Bondi, he's aMaster of Dany too. Don't be north Bondi. You say you're a little bit over Heights? Any. Yeah. Also they don't mean North Bond. I say a little bit over heights where the money is. See your males of it. Do you want his mouth street? Your male is often good ever so I say that sometimes a little bit skewer. You're a little bit off the behind the time. I have one more point to make. Okay. Is this the right. Is this the right really? That was all we're going to dribble about. That where I live or at home. I'm a dancer. No. Well, let's talk a bit about you two and a few because that's what I want to talk about today. Let's get to the point Charlie. You two. How long have you gone head to head for? How many years has your head? We're dead. We at least like I think I started riding the Sunday column in about 96 97. We got started. Yeah. Is that when you were doing yours? I was trying to make a leg wall. Yeah, I remember Rick Allen used to do it. He had it for little while. And maybe you had it for little while. That's when I wasn't allowed to
ride it. I had a year where I couldn't ride it. So I went from Rick Allen who was a great sub-editor and editor of the Sun Hill. Good cricket it too. Yeah. You know him well. Yeah. Then I went to Kenty for a little while and I took it over from Kenty pretty much when I started the Sun Hill. About 96 97. Just out of the time these little pot shots at me. How quick did the pot shots come bus? No, I don't know. Look, it was more channel nervous news. Correct. Yeah. It was more channel nervous. I wasn't at nine at the time but I had good relationships there and Buzz took great delight in having cracks at everybody at nine. So I went out of my allies. I want to tell the truth about nine. Yeah. Because even when Steve Crawley who's now Fox was made of my weed did not get on door when it was nine because nine used to play the live game on a Friday night then replay was 64 and verdisk and it was the second game and I was bagging them the same. Is that an hour coverage? Is it one hour the hour game or yeah or yeah or when that one is at the rear? And then I campaigned for live
sunda after football. It used to be delayed by an hour and then they put it on at four o'clock and actually kick off at three and Steve said we can't do it too hard but I'm sorry. And then I said the 40 show block of road train me once and said I'm sick of getting put in a dress on the 40 show. I'm not going to do it and I wrote it block it blows up at his 40 show. And nine and I became and then Danny you know. Yeah. So look and then he started calling me a hatchet man. That's a long way down the track. Yeah. That's a long way. We had many other things before that. You might have called him a hatchet man his recent is last year maybe. Possibly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely. And it was so inappropriate. Probably. I probably did. But so no more was probably started around out of the Super League War the rivalry right? That wasn't directly me and bars but it became that. And bars used to like crack the 40 show big time. So a lot of the 40 show people would want to talk to me. You know that. You had in like didn't you successfully have a
case against sterla. Yeah. Yeah. And suit him. And you got a boat called sterla now. Yeah. Is that the one you redo? No. Okay. So the boat named after sterla because you want a defamation case. So I've had that sort of say. Yeah. And so. And I would say because when Fattie was playing him and I were really great mates. Yeah. We spayed golf a lot together. Yeah. We had come around and I asked Pickney up and you know we were very tight. Well changed. And understandably when he was working with sterla where we single work candy was work with Blarker and gas and gas. Yeah. He stood by his work mate and we fell out. I blame you for the end of the footage. What are you talking about? I'm saying that your campaign was so strong. Very strong. It ran its race. But you were very strongly against it and showed you're flexed. Do you flexed your muscles? No. No. No. No. No. You used to give it to the footage every way. I actually think they show they're doing how he's good. The 100% 40% 40. I'm not pissing your pocket. But it was much better on it anyway.
I was much better when Chami and Danny were on there. It's a change they've put. They've gone more people need to ask hard questions and raise hard issues which people on that panel are not in a position to be journalists. They've got some very good people on that show. Got James Bracey's a really good host. He asked good questions. He had that blue with gal recently. Gal asked good questions. Gus, you don't need a Gus but he's good TV talent. Like did you see him with Nathan Cleary this week? He was fantastic. He was on the couch with Cleary asking for a Sam. Yeah it was great. It was great TV. Very sorry. Very lighthearted. But it was still the only one who could have gone away. You're exactly right. That's really perceptive because I couldn't have done that. I don't know if you probably could have because you're so lovable and likable these days. But you know I couldn't have asked for a look. Last to I haven't had a lot to do with Nathan Cleary and your response for that because we're he is very sensible because during Cove Nathan must be hyped and he I'm responsible.
Is that a damn what? Yeah, you know that thing. So Danny, saying I'm responsible and you're not talking to Nathan Cleary in your responsible at the end of the foodie show. So what? We're trying to have some good vibes each hour. Be hyped and went and did that TikTok video with a couple of attractive young ladies. And Danny went out, got the interview on Channel 9 outside who basically played the whole thing down, didn't he? Yes. Said. Factored it was I then was able to reveal that what he told Danny wasn't 100% correct. Yep. And he told you know I really don't want to bag Nathan because he was a kid. He's a kid. Yeah. He's kid. And also Cove. And I'm so happy. Yeah. Like Cove was crazy. Yeah. Cove had stuff relationship. Everything. But just it all grew up. Nathan. So I've lost a bit coach or talk and maybe you made a model out of frigging code. You know what? Both to your credit. You're doing your job. Yeah. And look,
I did that interview. So were you except them? I'm there for which? I'll catch you. I'm happy. I'm happy to end there with your relationship with Nathan. I'll put that on my belt. It's really not one to end. But I will say I think he's a future model. He's as good as he is again. I'll bring it up and I'll get your opinion as I know you're on the Hall of Fame panel. And I raised it last time not next year but the year after Wayne Bennett will coach a thousand games. I reckon because of these six or seven titles and a thousand games and his joy arrow business and what he did for Alex McKinnon he should be considered an immortal. Interesting. You've brought that up before. Yeah. And I just look, I'm not going to downplay anything you've just said in terms of Wayne's greatness in the game. Like he's without peers, and I just think that we need to be really careful with the whole immortal category. Oh, great. And it's like it can't and it's not cheapening it by including Wayne. But it's I
think it's got to be players. I mean, I think it's got to be what they've done. Look, you can create if you want to create a special award for Wayne like when he's at a thousand games. Fantastic. He's a Hall of Fame or whatever. He did play for Sto in the way. Yeah, now now you're saying for players and I want to get to play and think does I want to keep it massively exclusive. It's got to be massively exclusive. I want to say in camera Smith, Billy Slater, Jonathan Thurston, Cooper, just be really careful. I agree with you on that. Really, really. That's why that's why I struggle with the old year. Yeah, he's just the one off. Well, he's he's an all-time great. And like everything he's done is great. Yeah, take a figure. Yeah. I agree. We're off. Top of a game. A Gus called came up before and you guys, that is something you're you're both on the opposite of his spectrum. Danny goes on his column and pumps up Gus every single week. And he writes with Glee when talking about Gus called and you buzz you have at him very often and newscorp still hammers Gus very often. Or he's become the new buzz. Yeah, but you say,
I mean, this is nine and Fox. You have you have a breath and that's true. A lot. I point out things. No, you hammer him. I point out things. You hammer him. I point out things. And I'd be asked you this. It's great work that nine. Would you be probably not. He's a colleague, right? Yeah, he's a colleague. We don't have my colleagues. It's just I'm wondering if you have I've had blues. Did you see the night I went ahead to head with Cooper Cron? I didn't see that. Yeah, so he was a colleague and I put on there. There's double dip in coaching storm on it. It's difficult. Well, Chami had a crack at Gus. It's not more like I look. Chami remembered that Chami blew it with Gus. So he did similar to what you did. Yeah, well, I've got a relationship with Gus and I can't I'm not going to deny it. Yeah, I know I respect what he does. You had relationships with Bob Fulton, right? The great Bob Fulton. I equate those relationships as similar. Bozo was a greater the game. He was in a mortal. He was a Australian coach. He was about as
influential as a got in rugby league in his time. Would you agree with that? Absolutely. And do you run the game and do you agree? Do you agree that Gus is similar? He doesn't run the game, but in terms of in terms of a influential person when we did the gyro podcast, I would kill to have your relationship with Gus. So do you think I should have? Because no, I don't, but I'll ask you this. Do you think they've had a massively disappointing season? He's been there six years where they run 12? Yeah, look, I think they I think they disappointed in what they did. And I think they they had a disappointing season. No doubt. Look, when you go from third to whatever they was a 12th wasn't or 10th or 12th, whatever 11th or whatever it was, they've had a they've had a year that they have to reassess things, right? And they they know that Gus Gus knows more about rugby league than you and I and half of the game put together. He knows that he'd be he'd be disappointed. He won't come out and say it because he supports his club. But yeah, they they had a season they've got to fix up and it got to be better. However, from where they came or where they
came from a couple of years ago, a couple of years in the finals is pretty good compared to six years his been there. Yeah, I think I think it takes I think it takes a long time to fix the club. And I've got I've got I honestly thought they had a top four roster this year. I had them sixth, I think. So yeah, so they they underachieved. They might they may have overachieved that. A bit lighter, I think I'm talking about coaches. Yeah, we are. So yeah, maybe hold that thought last time, where a few messages after the year, we're having an ad break. We're having an ad break. Gus, Gus left my blood pressure. You asked me a break before, right? Would you say you worked the break, right? Did you see did you see something I think about brave? I think he is the best talent on rugby league television. Wow, I really do. And that's a huge rep. I think he's a talent. He's so sharp and he he'll tell us it is. And even when there's journals there, you know, who he'll he'll do their job sometimes. I really do think he's a great I think he's a very good
host. I grew there. But did you think there was a conflict there when he had the whole stuff going with Flannau and the dragons and all that sort of stuff? Yeah, there's obviously a conflict. But you didn't you were not prepared. Did you report on that? No, but what I will say though, I never ever felt uncomfortable in that show. Yeah. To talk about Locklin Ilius. Yeah. Cameron Monster, who else were we talking about? It's mainly the Ilius stuff, which is the yeah. And the most. And he hasn't got a lot of players and like he stepped aside which is, yeah, that's a whole another topic. But I think that you were in the same shoes as I was. Yeah, but it's interesting you did concede though that if he was at nine, you would have a problem. Like a Gus. I don't say in their hammering Gus. You hammered Gus. You didn't hammer brave. We work with him. No. But as I said, I have hammered Cooper. The funny story, the other bloke of Fox who got the shits with me with a lot because I was hammering with Brandy. When the failed origin campaign with Freddie, he came on one one, he really got the shits with me.
And I by covered Brandy's first trial game as a kid. But you know, sometimes you've got to put that aside. Yeah. But I hang out Billy Slater. I mean, I've I don't have a good relationship with Billy because he was a queen then cash. And you were off with Cameron Smith for for for for for I do a whole kangaroo tool. Cameron. So I do have relationships which are, you know, not great at nine. And I don't I don't hide from that. But I do have a good relationship with Gus. But with with Cameron, I did a whole kangaroo tool where he didn't really want to talk to me. And I would I would see him every day. He did press conferences with me because he's professional. But he refused to do anything else. But that still happens today. You know, people picking and choosing George Clark, very good journalist, AAP, very good journalist. He was basically told, don't go to the trial. Mitchell's press conferences today because he won't take your questions. So that it happens to all of us. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know what? If he just just got, he just rock up and ask questions. No, but George, you can't tell journalists.
I broke the story last year and I'm sorry. I'm not big nodding. You can be glad. No, you would have got the photo as well with the drill was caught with a white powder substance and I told him in Davao. So George rocked up to a press conference last year. Nothing was this year, wasn't it? We looked at all this time and the drill then just walked away. Right. But it was made pretty clear in yesterday that he probably shouldn't go because the drill won't take his questions. So interesting. It's a thing, Jonas. Well, we walked that line all the time. You walk with your new club colleagues. I walk with my nine colleagues. Yeah. There are some things. You know, I got when there was a major drummer nine a few years ago, I took, I ran up to the third floor of channel nine with a camera and chased someone today with Gingel's office and Gingel put his head out and told me that F off and told me I'd be sacked if I ever did that again. Is that right? Yeah. I was very bad. I wish. I would have been a good boss above. Yeah. That's right. The sacked panning. I've got to be close. I've got to be close. I've got to be clicks too. Just quite.
Yeah. Absolutely. I think that that I think for you guys probably became more than just the companies you were working for at the time. I imagine was super league because so much it became so personal and had so much emotion around it. What was it like reporting on that story? Well, I was young then and I was I wasn't a mainstream journal, but I was on the edges. Buzz was right in the thick of it. Yeah, but I don't know. They tried to as a personal cost for you with with relationships and also financially too. Yeah. Yeah. I was actually on the ARL side all my mates were there and I actually got on with Gus in those days and Ken Arthurson and John Quyle and Ray Hadley was very loud figure on the ARL side. So I got the phone call and I've told this story before from James Packer offering me a job to come out knowing us on the ARL side. Was it a big pancreas? I can't remember. It was a be off at a car at the end of the ship of rugby league week and you know, I knew I didn't have a melon for TV and I think I might have had a league week around
even what a second. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, look, look, look. So he then said, I said, give me 48 hours to think about it because I was shitty at news. I didn't like super league. So he said, I need your answer straight away. I said, why? He said, because I went on Alan Jones' show in the morning and I went on the 40s show tomorrow and I was talking about news called bias. I said, I don't want to do that. That's the reason I wanted out from news because they were telling me what to write. Yeah. Well, I think Christ I stayed. Well, you remember the South's March story when news court was like a hundred thousand people. Yeah. And news court didn't cover it. Remember? No, we did cover it. And I was sports headed at the time. I didn't give it a big round. At the Sunday telegraph. And I'd hide in heads the most respected figure of all my time in rugby league in journalism. He rightly had the unbelievable contacts and he loved him. And he was my mentor when I started as a cadet. He was great. So anyway, I hide him. He was at the
herald. And I didn't know the South story was going to blow up. But anyway, on the day of the March, he wrote probably 800,000 words on the March, the pre-ballow. It was not 800,000. 800,000. And look, I don't want to talk too much out of school, but it was my clear to me not to give the story great prominence in the city. I think it was one power, wasn't it? No, no, no, no. So I ran it down page. Words was from page news everywhere else and led the news. Well, this was the preview on the Sunday before they marched. I came before them. And it was underplay. Normally, I would have heard about when the March and the end heads then resign. Yeah, which has showed a lot of credibility, right? Yeah, to do that. Yeah. And we did underplay the March. And we didn't cover the March. Because they were telling people not to buy Murdoch papers. And again, they come that translates all the way through to what we're talking about today with the Abaggy colleagues. It's a thing that you've got to have
some loyalty to your employer. And that's what you had. You've got a mortgage. Yeah. And I know if you do. No, I do. We both have. And your employer pays your mortgage. You've got to be on the issue loyal to my employer. Yeah, we'll say you should. And so, so was I. Let's name it in my own story. Shall I? Anyway, this is yeah. Yeah, it's been great. We can talk. We're league news. We will. Before we do that. This is what we're here for. It might I'm in retirement. Well, I'm not even asking about this. So let's say this studio right now and you've got a microphone in front of you. Is are you coming out of retirement? No. Are you sure? No. I look next year. Here we go. Yeah. Next year. I'm going to wait up my family and my wife. May not be pain in the ass right now. Seven days a week. I'm a Mrs. It survived my marriage. But look, I must admit, I'm tempted to do a potty next year,
just a potty or something like that. So would it be the buzz Rothfield podcast? I don't know. I don't know. Okay. So no. So I was really surprised when you actually quit. Because I knew you had up. You had in line. You had the 360 gig, which you were very good at. Like people used to love you on that. We had not for here triple and triple as well. You had I thought you were riding your column before the great Adam got it. I'm trapped in the draw. So why did you quit? Because I got to January. And I thought, shit, I've got three weeks. I'm back to bloody work. Last year, I worked seven days of work. Yep. Right. Now I'm not competing against Marx. Right. I'm, you know, I wanted to be the best still, which required work. And I was out to lunch one day with family. My column lead for labor. I was called back to the office and yeah. I know the feeling. Danny, you, someone did an interview with Chandler. I don't know if was Mark Boris. And he spoke about the pressure and how hard he found it.
Just because he was a competitor and made just had enough. And you know what? It bought up 50 years. And my contract, my last contract with news was for two years. And it had expired. So I was not under, I just gave it away. So I was bugging. So why then would you want to come back into and put your expose yourself to a podcast and stuff like that? Why would I want to come back? Because I've sampled retirement. And I think it would, I love the games still mate. I love it. I watch eight games. And there's a couple of times this year I've sat there thinking, geez, I wouldn't mind having my two Bob's worth here. You know. I've seen your Twitter. Oh, not often. Yeah. Not often. But look, I'm just thinking about it. May we great to have you back personally. I think the game is better off having you should do Wednesday. 100% man. That's a great shout. Great shout. We'll shift down into another. Can I go? I join the grey in the grey in the grey in the jungle, trust me. I don't know.
It's a really funny thing. Yeah. Well, I haven't been in that situation. But I'm I'm a bit. It's a beautiful, fairly not working. And if I'm having a positive situation where I mean, your age and I could retire, I think I just retire and happy, happy retirement. But would you be, I can imagine the work you guys had to put in for a column is completely different to the amount of work you'd have to put in coming on a podcast and talk about the issues. The column, Charlie, it's I get a lot of pride out of doing it, but it's hard work. I'm like, I found it terribly stressful. And it's changed like the meat, the media landscape has changed completely in the in the good old days. And I sound like a dinosaur, but you could have a scoop on a Wednesday and just look at the paper every day and go, okay, it hasn't gone off you beauty. I can run it. You know, you're you're planning, you're planning meeting in a Sunday paper on a Wednesday. Yeah. Or we would anyway. And you just tick off buzz as and got it or, you know, the mile hasn't got it or Dean Richie hasn't got, you know, I mean like, or to go on. Yeah, you'd lose it pride. Oh, you didn't work the pants for another few hours.
Yeah, to try and get another one. And I know you had to harass people. Now though, it's you can go any second. Yeah, like like podcasts, social media, which it's just it's totally changed everything. And it adds to the stress. That's why riding a column on a Sunday, I think it's much harder now. Can I tell you, and I was going to give an example, because the Kurds put down the list last night. Just your religion, and you look at the list and look at it. But anyway, he's like, how the media has changed. I remember a day's work for me, I'll give an example, Darryl Brahm and who won the Rothman's Medal in Brisbane, I reckon it was about 1978, was signed by Penrith. And there was no rush to do it. So I drove out to Penrith. This was a day's work. It was a long drive. The ambidold and expressway. Still a knoll at a pen with a drive. Yeah, he was a teller at the Bank of Wales, which would be in the West Bank. And you get a
picture of him counting all this cash over that. And I'd go back and rock 15 paragraphs on this star Penrith, who just signed his bank teller, but was scared of robbers and always wanted to know with the butt. But then I got that was me days work. And it was so comfy. It was, you know, once day was enough. Now watching his frigging feed and watching, you know, it's constant. I tell you what, I found, I was right, what's the buzz. And then carry on with some really started confidential. That's right. So they were competing. Then Badell and Main started confidential in Brisbane. It's so much harder, isn't it? That's why I understand why you sort of happy with that part of your life being over. I really am. But podcasts are far out in the jungle. Yeah, that's what I thought. It's not. And I was even thinking, well, I do the wherever you want again. So I love work. We're working with you. That was a great show, by the way. Well, I do that. I don't know mate. I don't know. One final question. Then we'll get to a break
and we'll start talking about the issues. What was that feeling when you'd publish your column? And I imagine you read each other's columns first thing in the morning when you woke up. What was that feeling when the other person had scooped the other person? I was annoying. It was annoying when Buzzard get a really good, you know, a really good yard and I wouldn't have it. Would you beat yourself up about it? Yeah. Yeah. I got, I still, I think I finished putting the guy's to get the shits and it's just life. No one likes getting beat. You can't win. You can't win all the time. No one likes getting beat. And every now and again, you know, people would talk about a feud. I'd text him every now and then and say, not not for 10 years. He didn't know 15 years. In your, in your, when you started crawling me a hatchet, man, sending me pictures of axes and emojis and shit. How good are my, these both. Yeah. Yeah. Was there a genuine bad blood there? Like this? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Genuine, disdain for each other. Like we couldn't have been in the same room. Right. And like for, I don't think we talked for maybe 15 years, maybe, or easy. And like a lot of us around
mundane as well. Chalk. Yeah. And mundane. That's like, this we don't be like, I had a good run with them and I was just carved up everywhere. Yeah. Yeah. So he would be carved like with Gus. I've got like with Brayt. He'd probably get good Brayt stories. You know, I mean, like you get, yeah. Everybody's got their, their, their, their place and you can't access some people. And when you get particularly close to someone, you sort of trying them to keep, to stay away from other mode. You do. Like he would have, he'd be poisoning Brayt thing is me. He doesn't deny it. See? Look. It's no denial. That wide line. I've ever got the shit for me when I wrote about him in the drill. I've been a stink at the, that restaurant. Sorry. Yeah. I think I broke that one. And it was, it was, I'd be a cop to big for that one. It's a bit of drama. Yes. The joys of working in rugby, Lee boys. It's fun. The joys. Let's go to a bloody head. Can we try? All right. All right. Let's take quick break, Buzz. We actually. All right, boys. Let's talk expansion. We spoke about PNG off the top. You had a great
scoop. Oh, yeah. Well, it's interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting. You did tease having a scoop. Oh, yeah. What do you want to reveal the scoop? Oh, no, no. I was not a massive scoop. I spoke to John Morris as manager. There's Danny Tex and wanted to talk about, you know, his dismissal at the West Tigers. What actually happened to you? You had a meeting with Benji yesterday. And they could not agree on the pathway forward in what that club required. So they sure can. So he got some sort of payout. What is manager Chris, all told me this morning was only very, very recently and not back a super league offer in the UK and coaching. Yeah. Head coach shop. So I don't know. That might have been the car. I don't know that. But that's, look, Johnny Morris is a good operator. But I spoke to the Tigers as well on the way in and the view is simple. The defense over the last couple of years, he was defensive. I chose him being good enough. Yeah. And that's that's like, so the blame has been put on John Morris. And whether that's fair or not, I'm not sure. Yeah. I don't understand their defensive systems.
I'm not an expert there. But that's what that's the reason he's gone. It's funny. I'd lunch with Craig Fitzgibbon earlier this year. We were talking about Johnny Morris. And even Fitsy admitted five years ago, he thought John Morris was very unfortunate and unlucky to lose the job at Cornala. He's ex it was weird. Cornala wasn't it? It's really what. So look, I think he's got a bit of ability in the coaching game hasn't had the breaking probably needs, but Tom will tell. It's interesting. He say that though, because wasn't it a player movement to get rid of John Morris at the sharks? I was unaware of that Charlie. Okay. So where it goes now, though, which is interesting is where were the tigers? I wrote a column a few weeks ago saying that there was a move to get rid of the yes men out of the tigers around Benji because Benji's got all the power there. Right. So this and I said there'll be changes around that. And this is the that I at the time, I heard that Morris might have been linked with the dragons. That was denied. But that was the name that was getting tossed up around that time. So Benji's power. I don't know whether it's
changing at all now. But they do have they've got to make changes in that area. And they also have to continue to make changes in their playing roster. Oh, the significant change. No, he didn't. Yeah. He already keeps saying they've top eight. He's off his head, mate. He's like the play. I know you want to read his mentors. Can you have a word to him on the quiet? Just a little chat. Yeah. Look, I like Benji martial a lot. And he was always good to me when I was working. I still think he's got a lot. You know, I think he took out Tim Schoen's could have been there a bit longer. You got Shenzhi the job, Rilla. No, I don't. He did. He did. I think Benji was a little bit raw when he first started. And probably imagine him having wine, you know, and they're very, very tight. He rings. Oh, well, gas. Yeah. West Tigers would kill off to have gas. Of course, it would.
Just going back to you said that they want to get rid of some of the yes men around Benji. But that is kind of you just basically said that John Morris was was giving Benji some harsh truths basically. Well, and they couldn't agree on what was happening. So it sounds like they've not got rid of a yes man. They've got rid of someone who's made his call to the store right a few weeks ago, right? Yeah. And maybe, yeah, maybe he wasn't a yes man. I don't know. But this is the text I got. John and Benji spoke about the direction of the club and a few things this year both didn't agree on and felt its best to shake hands and move on. Benji was very thankful for John's contribution as he was the most experienced across their coaching staff. Who's that text from? I told you. He's made the manager. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So where to now for the to the Tigers? They're going to go try to get a shape. They're standing in the same position. I just want to spoke to them today. They said they're going to look everywhere for an assistant and they're going they might I don't think I need to advertise. But they it's out there now. They need a defensive coach. Yeah. Flano, I think we tossed that up before that Flano could be a person who could do that and they an old head like Flano or
someone similar. I think he's needed at the West Tigers because Benji is still very young in his coaching years and there is potential there to be a good club. They've just got it. They really have to get it right quickly because they can't continue to flam that. But doesn't that club and we're talking assistant coaches now. And I I pat Richard's head of football. He's yeah. He's there GM. I would have thought they need someone very, very senior and they got rid of Richard. In that role to help Benji and pull together the right structure to take that absolutely. They've had that many full starts. But they don't they feel they grow on trees. They're very few people who you are just describing who have the connections, the authorities and then the reputation. I tell you what they got a lot of money at the West Tigers through West Asheville and all that. With great respect to Sean Miller camp, I would have gone to Blake Sully with an open check
book and said come over and run our daily league. Yeah. Paul and I saw he's done a terrific job at South, isn't he? Yes he has. So he'd be at Canada but he's he the GM figure you need. You know, see that? But he could then pull the hole. But if you're Sully going from the bunnies to the Tigers, that's like going from from first grade to reserve grade, isn't it? Like it's like in terms of level of clubs. Oh, I actually look, look, Paramata sounded that. Blake. They did when Jim was a Tarantino. They sound him out. Blake has a deal with Wayne. He's there as long as Wayne's there. Yeah. Yeah. I'm a massive Blake Sully fan. I'm sure you know, I think Sully's a very good operator. Yeah. Yeah. We all blew with everybody at some point. I'm not missing. Yeah. But I think I think he's a good good operator. But they need a I just think that like Pat Richards, give him, I know, I know he hasn't got the name of, you know, these guys, you're suggesting. But you know, he was he and Millen cams. I say it right. Millen cams. Millen cams. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. Sure. Millen cams. Yeah. He's good fellow. He and Pat Richards had
the initial meetings. And they I think went with the recommendation as to what to do next. And that's where Benji became involved. But Benji got too long a contract too. Well, five years. Yeah. What that was the management move of the year when they were going through all that rubbish with the board. His manager lept in, did a watertight deal, big, big bucks for Benji, it was smart management and probably inexperienced management from the Tigers to allow it to happen. Absolutely. Let's talk about expansion now. We teased it before. It's there's been a pretty out there bid that's come in late from a married tribe in Halton who have about two billion dollars in the any Webster story. I don't know about it. We'll be broken to strangeness. There's a mob there. They're called the Taynua group holdings there in Hamilton, which I'm told is like about the central coast and Sydney distance from Auckland. Yeah. Sometimes we always play a game there every year, basically. Yeah. I don't know if they've got the venue there, but they've got
two billion dollars. Well, that's their company's two billion. Yes. So well, I say, the land is one. So what is a hundred million? That's your ticket. Right. You got to have a hundred million up front. Ready to go. This is not the cash, but they don't have the infrastructure of a ground like this magnificent stadium in Christchurch. Where would you like it to go, Boss? I would like another team in definitely in New Zealand. Yep. First. I think, oh, absolutely. I think it was a bit like Brisbane. Brisbane, you only have one game of football every fortnight. Now the dolphins of the Brisbane have a game every weekend. I think New Zealand's big enough now to have a game of rugby league every week, whether it be Christchurch, Auckland, Hamilton, wherever we're killing rugby over there. It feels like that'll happen, doesn't it? I do worry about AFL in Brisbane. Yeah. The lightest aspect. Ipswich and pedal loves listening to Nick. You know, he does, isn't he? He does. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Very tight. But my personal view is we should go New Zealand.
I'm with you on that. For sure. P&G, we've spoken a little a fair bit about that already. Is there anything that you've got thoughts on buzz that we didn't cover earlier? Are you all the level playing express? No, I'm not on the chat. It's not a level playing pool. And this is where it's so outrageous. Why aren't Perth getting help? They applied for help. Sorry? They applied for it. They're getting a few little... Yeah, self-interest clubs. He didn't really want to help them. Yeah. Now, unlike the dolphins who began in a rugby league heartland and Port Morsby who are starting in a rugby league, just crazy bloody nation, Perth are in an AFL heartland stronghold. Free mantle could win the con. Yeah. West Coast Seagal's massive. They're the club that needs help. You worry about them? Massively worried, yeah. I think, yeah, I'm worried about the jury's out of mouth. Well, I, yeah, my jury's not out of mouth. I think it's a head coach. I think he should be like an overseeing figure. So do I. And I think
that yeah, yeah, someone else should be the head coach. Well, that sounds like the jury's out then. Oh, no, I've said them so that out for me. I'm saying I think you think you think you think you think you can move on. I'm just going to Perth. I think that Mow has been out again. Game is a coach for a long time. I think he's in a mortal and he deserves respect. But I think his role should be as a different role in that club. And they need that sort of person. And I think someone else really can do what Wayne does. And Wayne is obviously the best delegator. I agree. Yeah. That's a great idea in theory, Boes, but but but Mow and best garden that don't get along. No, they don't get along as simple as that. Ben Garner's interesting. I don't think the Simone players loved him in the Simone camp of the Pacific Championships. And he was calling meetings at eight o'clock at night. And they were just like, what's going on? They felt they didn't have enough cultural experiences going on during that camp. Let's see how they go. I think the obviously pain arses pulled out now of the World Cup. Now I'm not saying it's
because it's been Gardner, but he's having an operation. He's having a finger operation. Yeah, which there's a little bit of Mow around though. He wasn't happy about and he was thinking about playing with Kangaroo. 100% he got what I think he had conversation with Kevin. Interesting one, what's his space with the Simone boys? Because they're, you know, they're so passionate and you know that they're they're into the cultural and Ben Gardner's not Simone or I don't know. Yeah, I'm not sure. No, he's not. He's not. He's not. He's not. He's not. He's understand, you know, the come sure he's he's invested in all of that as well, but probably a good coach. Yeah, but I just think that back to Perth, I think they that's definitely that's a problem. It should have sent Burgess and I know that's a bit. He's a sandwich. He's a wild child, but he may be male. Malover top. Yeah. Sam will also sell the dream and I actually I spoke to Sam about it and that he was pretty close to getting that job. He was keen. I think he was keen. He had conversations with them. Again though, like this is what worries me though. Would Peter Pallandis even talk 22 times play each other? Where the coach is going to come from?
Where the players? Well, we fan Christian Wolf for the Dolphins. There's probably some great assists in case I don't know. I'd like to see some of the great coaches move around like Trent Robinson's band of these so long. Wouldn't it have been a coup for him to go to Perth? Yeah, would have been great. You know, I think they could have found it great. No, no, they're too wide, but I'm thinking game wide. You know, these are the sort of humans. The Dolphins work because of Wayne and Peter O'Sullivan. Yeah. They had the best recruitment guy and the best old coach. That's why they've worked. That's why they're playing finals. Top three brilliant stuff. Set them up. Coach of the year. Who are your thoughts boys on this one? We've got to obviously see some great candidates. I've been clearing Christian Wolf, Justin Holbrook, Andrew Webster. Well, given that Nathan Cleary doesn't like Buzz, I'm going for Ivan Cleary. I'm not saying it doesn't like me. I don't know. No, look, I think Ivan really. Yeah, yeah. The Holbrook. I'm happy with it. Look, I don't think he gets enough recognition.
I think he's a 20 before we won a comp. I think he's one one. He's one one. But since he won comp, he's hasn't. Yeah, this guy is a marvel in terms of being a coach. I know he's got a good roster, but they do have to regenerate all the time. What they do in the way they play football and the system they have going is great coaching. So yeah, I'm happy with Ivan. Okay. It's not most improved a lot. Otherwise, I'd go Holbrook or Wolf or Webster, but I'm going to agree that it should be Cleary. I think it's a shame he's retiring. I think again, a new franchise. Imagine putting Ivan in charge. Wow. On the other side of the coin, then coach is under pressure. Your man, Madge. Who you are, one of the big match defenders as well, Danny. I've never seen Buzz tell you that something happened this year. You might have missed it. Danny was in origin camp. Danny, he's a normal, like pretty mild manner guy. Like I didn't get too excited. You should have seen
the excitement he had when Michael McGuire came into camp. He was doing a report on Chow9. He was sort of bouncing his hands were moving around. It was like Madonna was visiting town. Well, match could be my Madonna. It sounds like he is. No, I was just a yarn, Charlie. You interpreted it your way. I do smile sometimes. Yeah, you do. You're a happy guy. But you're obsessed with Madge. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with Madge. I think he did great things for the blues. I needed a great thing by winning a comp with the Broncos. But yeah, I think he's under pressure. I think what I wrote last year about players being off Madge and the Harbour crews, the Army camps. Spear buckets there. Yeah, the Spear buckets and all that thing. I think I was right. The bad guy here went wrong for you as they won the comp. Yeah, but I was 12 months early. Yeah. And I'm not sure Madge won the comp. I think Reese Walsh won the comp. He was unbelievable. I've never seen a ground for online. Well, that's the best ground for him. But in fairness, I had to come out after what happened last year, midway through the year Renault and Ben Hunt
tapped on Madge's door and said, you're losing. Let's and Madge to his credit. Great coaching. Did change his ways a little bit, dropped a little bit of intensity when I'm on the comp. But what I said at last year about player relationships overworked in the camp into Wombo, over to England, another camp, you know, but I think that you know, what do you think painhouse is leaving? I don't know the true reason. I like to know. What do you suspect? I don't know if it's to do with Madge though. That's what you're getting at. Have you spoken to a people close to pain? I've I think there are a number of reasons why not not to get on with his manager. I'm mad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I seem to get the indication from his camp that there's a bit to do with Madge. I think it's a bit to do with family coming here. I think it's a bit to do with the community is going to have here. I think it's a lot to do with Wayne. And yeah, look, but I understand everything you've said about nature. But other teams train hard.
Yeah. They do. Like other like you if you tell me. Oh, no. If you tell me, if you're not trained hard, the bull logs don't train hard. The dolphins. Yeah. They all train their buses. My only point was he lost the shed to see us. He lost the shed at the West Tigers. And I think suspicion now that he's losing the shed's there. And I don't think tails of Tiger Town. Did he many? No, I grew that. Do you think that his reputation makes it easier for everything to go wrong? You know, I mean, like I said, I will match people know that people will go against marriage in the media and that his reputation. Madge has got support. He's your supporter. I'm a part of Adele's support. I heard what Adele said. Mr Brisbane. And ask has been able to match support of this year. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Madge has got supporters. And again, and I had a where we bought old glass TV said, oh, you made it personal. I said, this was a professional. Oh, bullshit. I was being told things that were going on at that club. Many of which have been proven right 12 months.
I'm sure you're not making stuff up. No, but I also think that people want to match. He's got a reputation as that. So it's easy to feed into that reputation. Like always, whereas Craig Bellamy trains his team hard. Isn't it not about the training hard though? It's not that the players say it's about the other stuff where they get texted 9 o'clock at night. And that's the outside of training. That's the outside of the training. That's the outside of Ryan Smith stuff, isn't it? Yeah. But that's not every club train's hard. You're saying it's more about him relating to the players by the sounds of it. Yeah, but other ways they're relating to the players. Also, maybe hitting them outside of training hours with stuff. Yeah. But they don't need to be here and about. Yeah, but they've just got a win next year. Because we know what happened to Kerry Walters year after your 17 months of hard work. They've got to start fast. They've got to have a good start. Yeah. Yeah. Cerrado is he under pressure? Had an instant next year? Look, you just got a five year contract. Correct. He signed last year. So he's got four to go. I would think if they had a similar season to what they've had this year, he would be under pressure. Yes. Yeah, you agreed. I think I think he's under pressure for next year. Okay. I think he's
got next year. I think that's what I think he's fine for next year. Yeah. But yeah, if they miss the eight a couple of years in a row, buzzing all these mates jump all over the gas. I know. You're my gas has a history of moving on under performing coaches. He's got a huge opinion. That's right. As a grip on the pan-riff as an enbarrett, the ball dogs. Couple of those adjusted. Gas move Ricky on it. Ristas all those years ago when they test. He testing mine. Was he director of coaching then? He was director of coaching. Yeah. Yeah. Whether it was nickel gas. I don't know. He moved on. Didn't he? Yeah. So he looked at. He moved. I'm tired. But I I back a lot of what Gus says. So I'm not going to go against his. All Gus has got a massive opinion of Surreo. Yeah. Right now. Cameron's got a bit more to do. He knows that. Yeah. He doesn't need to hear that from us. Benji's on the list here. We've spoken about Benji. The other one of the coaches that was sacked this year, Anthony Sebel replaced by Keir and Ford, but there's been a bit of movement in Manley with Peter Gentle. Yeah. So I think I
rate at the time when the Seabold went to the gentle would go. So I don't think that's a huge surprise. Peter Gentle botched the cherry Evans. I guess you might have been all this CEO. Oh, was it? Yeah. That's true. But I thought the problem was and DCE blew up that was gentle doing Peter doing the negation. Well, I maybe see. Yeah. Maybe that was. No, but look, in the end, the way the plate out was bizarre and look how it's set up now for cherry Evans of the Roosters. Yeah, it's an amazing story. You know, we always look for fairy tales in rugby league and that sort of thing. And either worry is the fairy tale story of rugby league at the moment and the dolphins to agree, but cherry Evans is an individual. That's a great story. Potentially. Certainly is. They are tip for the title. The Roosters buzzer. You've got a lot of negative comments. You're a little bit shy. You're a little bit shy. You're a little bit shy. You know, I've never bought a car off a man or other. You're carrying on with all the way. You know, they've been given a car by him. Well, I'll be given a car by him. That's very nice.
Right. I'll be a big man. Yeah. That's a good one. Yeah, but probably my name is Starly. Because I ring, I'm slurring bravely. You put that in your car. Buzz Rothfield said that's a great question. Yeah. No, it's BYD. So I can do it. He's an ambassador. He posts a funny Instagram. I'm on my Heando man. Personally, I'm a Heando man. I'm a Batler. Enough. Super. What do you draw? Doesn't he? He draws a nice car. You should see it down there. It's a very nice car. It's a very bondy-like ice car. That's what I draw. Talking about your effluent on-working class. Please. Please. But it's been absolutely fantastic to have you both in the house. I mean, I'm sure people in the comments will be saying, can we have Buzz and Danny next year? Oh, no, that's not. Can we have Buzz and get rid of Danny? No, that buzz is very popular. No, no, no. I'd sprained a lot of fun. Would you ever do a show together with two of you full-time? I'm printing on the coin. Text free. We're doing a pay-in-jee. I'm doing a sales report, but we'll always be. I do one with Buzz, yeah. Yeah. We'll edit it out. There you go. It's up to you and make it up. No, I'll make it up for sure.
Great to have you both. We'll be back next week. You'll have Flano back with yourself, Danny. Next week. You're not in the saddle to show this week. We've got David Ricchio there. But Buzz will see you again on Sunday. I'll be at Kira Beach this time next week. You will be, but we'll have you on Sunday for the Sunday season. You're going to be at the Pantas Roosters game for me and Perredeers at a wedding. I'll see you out of the game. I'll be at Pantas. Yeah, I'll be ahead and say hello. We've got a lot of your friends and they're Gordon Talas. Yeah, though, I'm sure I love to see me. Ben Doblin. You were Ben Doblin. Close these days. I'll make a, like I did the catering. I'll talk with, yeah, I'll take a, with him and we've got to find. Yeah, right. I think I think Gordon's barks with Werson, he's bite, though. Oh, click that out. We'll send it to him. That's a, that's a compliment. He's a, is it? Probably our battle, isn't he? He's not that scary. Yeah, he's a lovely guy. Yeah, he's a lovely guy. But we'll be back tomorrow with Renny Mattoon and Josh Reynolds. We'll see you guys soon. See you, mate. See you.
