Calgary Police sent in their tactical team Friday evening to handle a domestic incident
in the city's northwest.
Officers arrived at a home in the 2500 block of Charloboah Drive Northwest in Charles
Wood around 5 p.m. and stayed on scene for several hours.
Tactical officers in full gear approached the house, calling for someone inside to come
out with hands up while urging nearby residents to stay back.
From the area, no injuries or arrests were reported right away, and police have not
released more on what led to the call.
Authorities say the situation is now under control, with the neighborhood returning to
normal after the long standoff.
