Canada sizzles, parasite spreads in U.S., Trump’s Hormuz toll flip, and more

Environment Canada has issued alerts for at least five provinces and one territory. Extreme heat, wildfires, and tornadoes are making for more volatile weather across the country. 

And: Public health experts in the U.S. are trying to track the source of an outbreak of cyclosporiasis. It’s usually food- or water-borne. The outbreak has spread to 30 states, and while it’s not usually fatal, it can be very unpleasant.
