The Washington Capitals pulled off a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabers on Thursday, snapping

Buffalo's 8-game winning streak at Keybank Center.

Jacob Kaikron delivered the go-ahead goal at 18 minutes 27 seconds of the third period

with a snapshot from the right circle.

Ryan Leonard tied the game at 1-1 early in the second period, scoring for the third straight

game after picking off a pass and firing from the right circle.

That came after Sam Kaikron put the Sabers ahead just over 6 minutes into the first on

a backdoor tap-in.

The Capitals had dropped 4 of their previous 5 games, but this victory boosted their record

to 33 wins, 27 losses, and 7.
