And I'm not a person that gets scared easily. But this instance, one time in my life, I experience primal fear. Just slimmer. To the fair season, Karen's out there. How dare you! 2:01Easy-bossed. If you talk about extreme. If not, it's a crime. We will give teeth from the stuff. They don't fear the questions they fear the spark. So we stand by them. Not to rule, not to hate. Just to see through smoke and mirrors. And call for people. They call it dangerous. But fire doesn't fear the dark. It only shows what's real. This was sharing big-foot stories. I only have one. There's a lot of supernatural stories in my family. But this one specifically.

3:04I was on vacation. I was on active duty at the time. I was on vacation at Macon, Ireland, up in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I have to take this boat, this ferry, to go across to this island. You can either get around by walking or by renting a bike. And so I decided, well, I don't want to walk around, so rent a bike. And there are designated trails. I'm sure it's probably still the same thing today, where you can walk, hike, and all these things. So I was riding my bike down one of these trails and saw a place where you were in. It was a restricted area. But I was like, I bet there's a really beautiful view if I just go through this area right here. And totally disregarding the boundaries. And so I take the bike off the trail. And I remember coming around this bandit, there was just this beautiful meadow.

4:08Just full of just yellow flowers. I don't know what type of they were. But it was just yellow, maybe dandelion. I don't know, but they were just yellow, yellow, orange. Just a field. And just this incredible view from this spot. And I don't know if it was a deer trail that I was on. You could tell that there have been probably animals walking up and down this section. And so I'm looking out across this meadow. And it's like this sloping meadow. And I hear something in the woods behind me. And I turned and I looked. And in the forest was a bear. I mean, like, like, rooting. Like, maybe doing like this or something. I just assumed it was a bear rooting. And I was like, oh, this is so cool. Check out that bear. And right there's about the time that I'm thinking that it's really like that. And it's kind of like this from your angle, your, your me.

5:14And it looks like that and stood up. And I was like, that's no bear. I freaked out when it stood up. Because first there was the face. Oh, and just overwhelming wave of fear. Just primal fear. And I remember when it stood up, my mind was like, that's no bear. I jumped on the bike and it started like within just a few steps coming in my direction. I got on the bike. I didn't know what the trail was. I didn't know if there was a trail. And I just started booking it just through the branches. And I could hear it. Keeping pace with me. Now, I was on active duty. The most fit I've ever been in my life. Professional soldier. PT every day.

6:15I'm on this bike. And I'm giving it everything I have. Somewhere away from this. And I remember as I'm going, bro, I'm just yelling. It's keeping pace with me in the forest. And I can hear branches breaking with each step. And like it was nothing. And it kept pace with me for a while. And finally, at some point, things started to open up a little bit. It just stopped. And I heard it just take off in that direction. And I ended up on a road. And there were some park rangers that came by. I guess there were park rangers or the law enforcement of that place. And they stopped me and you were okay. It's everything all right. And one guy was like, you know, that's a restricted area. And I was like, yes, I should have been up there. I really didn't know how to broach the subjects.

7:16What was taking place up there. And one of the officers were like, you know, you seem a little, seem a little worse for where you're okay. And I told him, I said, well, okay, I'll tell you guys. And for some reason, like I said, I thought they were park rangers or something. And I told him, I said, you have big foots on this island. And they're like, yes. What we do. And you know, this is why there's a restricted area. Here, where nobody's supposed to go in. That's what he told me. So come to find out later from some Anishinaabe elders and people that they're underground caverns that go from the mainland, underneath the channel, and pop up on Macon Island. And in the Anishinaabe language, their name for Bigfoot is Sabe, which means truth, very, very interesting name for this, for this bean.

8:18And they also said, yes, that they frequently, there was known in Anishinaabe, Lawrence, and tradition that they would circumnavigate the water channels by going using these underground caves and popping up on the island and also on the mainland. As the only big foot encounter I ever had freaked me out to no end. And I need to learn lessons on boundaries. It's a great boundary lesson. Sometimes you come across things you don't want to come across. So we steal the fire. Not to rule, not to reign, just to see through smoke and mirrors. And call the beast by name. They say the truth will cost you. Friends come for peace of mind. But slavery wears us off to face when fire let us be high.
