Let's get all snugly and listen to a special story

about a really magical time of year.

It's called Christmas is Coming.

Shhh, can you hear that?

It's a secret.

Something so wonderful is coming.

It's almost here.

Okay, so when the whole world is covered

in a soft white blanket of snow,

you know what that means?

It means there are so many fun things to do.

Let's find out how we can get ready for Christmas.

Ooh, have you ever seen this?

When you wake up and it's super cold outside,

Jack Frost sometimes paints these beautiful icy pictures

on your window.

It looks just like a sparkly magical forest, doesn't it?

I see little birds sitting on the snowy branches out there.

Listen, what's that sound?

Clitter clatter, clitter clatter?

I know.

We're making Christmas cookies.

First, we mix and stir,

and then we roll out the dough to make little star shapes.

Mmm, can you smell them baking?

Oh, they smell so sweet and yummy.

They look good enough to eat right now.

And what are we doing now?

Snip, snip, snip, go the scissors.

Oh, it looks like everyone is super busy

making pretty things for the tree.

And look at that happy girl.

She's holding up a big shiny yellow star.

Wow, she made that all by herself.

Whoa, look at that Christmas tree.

It's so big and beautiful.

It's so tall, it's almost touching the ceiling.

And wait a minute, are those little animals helping?

Yes, the kitty cat, the bunny, and the puppy

are all helping hang the pretty red ornaments.

Everybody's working together to make the tree sparkle

and shine.

Okay, ready?

Heave ho, we're helping to hang up the pretty green garland.

It's just so much fun to make the whole house look festive.

And look, everyone is helping out.

Oh, that silly little puppy is playing with the end of it.

Hold on tight, whoosh, we're riding in a sleigh.

A beautiful white horse is pulling us right through the snow.

Burr, the air feels so chilly on our cheeks,

but don't worry, we're all bundled up and super warm.

Hey, listen, can you hear that?

Jingle, jingle, jingle, it's the bells on the horse.

And just like that, the busy day is over.

The big moon is shining in the sky.

You know what that means?

It's Christmas Eve.

This is the most magical night of the whole year.

So let's be really, really quiet and just wait.

Wow, look at all the presents under the tree.

It's so sparkly.

Let's look at this one.

It's really big and wrapped in red paper with a pretty bow.

What would happen if we picked it up and gave it a little shake?

Shake, shake, shake.

Hmm, what do you think is inside?

Is it something loud or something soft and quiet?

It's a secret for now.

Okay, time for bed.

We're all tucked in now so cozy and warm under our blankets,

but are you too excited to sleep?

I am.

It's so hard when you're thinking all about tomorrow.

I'll look down there.

The little puppy is getting sleepy on the floor

right next to the teddy bear.

And while we're all trying to fall asleep,

who is that tiptoeing on the rooftop?

Oh my goodness, it's Santa Claus.

He's being so, so careful because the roof

is all slippery with snow and ice.

And he has a great big bag full of toys

for all the wonderful boys and girls.

You know, Christmas is such a special time.

And now I wanna tell you the story

of the very first Christmas.

This happened a long, long time ago

on a very peaceful and special night.

Far, far away, three wise kings were on a journey,

riding their camels through the desert.

And you know what they were following?

A brand new star in the night sky.

It was the biggest and the brightest star

they had ever, ever seen.

And it was showing them where to go.

And then that beautiful, sparkly star stopped.

It stopped right over a little stable.

Inside, it was so quiet and so peaceful.

A new baby was fast asleep in a warm bed of hay.

And look, do you see that?

A little angel is peeking right through the window

to say hello.

All the friendly animals who lived in the stable

came to see the new baby too.

The gentle cow and the kind donkey

and the fluffy little sheep all gathered all around.

They helped keep the baby nice and warm

with their soft, warm breath.

And that is the story of the very first Christmas.

So now it's time to close your eyes.

You can dream of jingle bells and sparkly stars.
