And Putin and all of his people coming together saying, guess what? NATO and the European Union are escalating and you better not. This week on the David Rutherford show. What's up everybody? Welcome back. Man, I got to tell you. I'm going to be over the last three or four days. These stories have been coming out in rapid fire at me. Now, if you're a normal person, you're going about your daily life. You're paying attention to this upcoming start of college football. You're paying attention to maybe some interest rates or most of us are paying attention to our kids going back to school. And what all that entails are off to school. So to speak. And so we don't have our heads deeply immersed in all of this stuff going on overseas. Well, thank goodness I'm here for you that because that's what I do. When I travel for my day job and I'm out there, I'm in airports for hours on end on airplanes for hours on end in Ubers constantly in hotel rooms.
And I am digging into the context of all of this, this tsunami and information so that you can have a better understanding. And I can throw a couple flashbang and true Southaches. So again, so stoked you're here. You know, please like, subscribe and share if you want to help other people understand what's going on. All right. So let's get into it. So on August 25th, the CIA director, Daniel Radcliffe, made a covert trip to Moscow. And he met with the SVR chief, Sir, Sir Day, Naira Skin and the FSB director Alexander Bortnikov. All right. Now these are his counterpoints in the Russian intelligence. And basically we didn't have any details, true details of what this meeting was about, but it was significant.
Now the Trump administration has said, oh, this is just normal. You know, hey, we're checking in with each other. How you guys doing? How you doing? Oh, we're doing good. How you doing? Kind of like Radcliffe in there, they pour some tea or some vodka or whatever they do. And they're like, you know, they ask the Russians, hey, you know, and by the way, hey, we're coming over. Can you can you stop strikes in Ukraine and oh, hey, get that little guy Zelensky on the phone and have him stop strikes into Russia as well too while we're traveling. All right. So basically saying, hey, we control the kinetic opt-empo of what's going on in this thing anyways, right? Now goes over and then Putin's like, hey, you know, how's your war going down in Iran? It doesn't look too good. And, you know, what? It's like, we want to believe this is what's taking place. But the reality is there's a tremendous amount of gamesmanship going on. The context up where you need to be is you need to look at the breakdown and talks that have taken place between Ukraine, Russia, the US, the EU, which doesn't seem to want to really participate in those anyways, as well as what's going on with the US, Israel, Iran and the Gulf Coast states because all of these things are intertwined in one way or another, mostly through what?
And so, as I'm planning in the military industrial complex, right, as well as what's taking place in all of the political parties that are involved, it is an election year, right? And so as I'm trying to decipher all this, I'm constantly looking through the lens of political elections that are on the precipice for all these different areas. All right. I was over and some of the reporting that's come out of there has basically been he requested, hey, whatever you do, don't strike NATO countries. That's a no no. And this is to the Russians. He basically said, end the war in Ukraine or else. And then this final one was, you better not aid Iran because that would be uncool if you aid the proxy war. If you start a proxy war with us who's in a proxy war and another war, as we're doing the proxy war against you, that's not cool.
So don't do that. And that's that's what the gist is that I'm I'm interpreting all this. And again, remember everybody, this is my opinions, my estimation, my interpretation from, you know, the better part of my entire adult life trying to figure out what foreign policy is how it works, militaristically, financially, politically, all these different religiously, those are all big undertones as well too. All right. So, and the last big, and the big piece of this essentially as it was relayed to us, it was also an affirmation to our commitment to article five of our NATO pack, which means any target any if Russia targets any European union NATO member, any NATO member, right. Then we basically it triggers this treaty and we it's an act of declared war against any NATO in all of its NATO members, right. So that essentially is World War three, right, because if you back that out, the similar thing can also be said as we're engaging with a bricks nation, right, a bricks nation. And that's that's Brazil, Russia,
India, Iran, China and South Africa, and they have an alliance economic, but also we do know that there's an intimate relationship militarily with Russia and Iran, right. And I ran, I ran, making cheap drugs for Russia, Russia supply intelligence, other military, probably weapon systems, missile systems, all that China as well with Iran. So you have to see how all these things, all these places are in a connect interconnected. Now, one of the interesting things is when you think about how diplomacy works, right, it's always done through these back channels, right, the most famous moment in kind of modern history or 20th century history was the back channel call between JFK and the leader of Russia for the Cuban missile crisis. They had, they had that all worked out. So you have to recognize these back channels are a tremendous component of what's taking place. You can see kind of those back channels became over recently when you look at the Iran's relationship to some of these other Middle Eastern countries, right.
You had Turkey, Pakistan, a nuclear power country, by the way, Turkey who's in NATO, Pakistan who has nuclear weps in Saudi Arabia, who we have very strong relationships economically to because of the golf and strategic position in the golf region in the Middle East, they joined together and deformed a military defense pack together, which makes all this stuff way more convoluted, right. Now you have a packed within a pack that that has different allies or together that could break up these greater things, right. So it's very fascinating how all of this is taking place. All right. So those back channel efforts are are significant and you know we've had it done in the past that the last CIA director, one of them burns, you know, he had back channel talks prior to Russia's invading Ukraine back in February 21. Hey, don't do it. Don't do it. And they're like, well, you're talking about, you know, basically you're funding this covert war with these these AvA as off battalion, because, you know, the eastern side of Ukraine who think of themselves as Russians don't want to participate in Zelensky's new government for a bunch of different reasons, but they see themselves essentially as Ukrainians or as Russians.
And then also you had some really dumb commentary, most specifically by Kamala Harris and a European security convention where she basically said, yeah, Ukraine's coming into NATO right away. Also, remember the core of this stems back to the fall of the USSR. And the geopolitics back then where once Putin came into office in late 90s, early 2000s, he was said, listen, I want to work with the European Union. I want to work with America, but you cannot expand NATO one inch to the east. And what's happening. They just keep expanding over and over. And if you understand the historical relevance of Ukraine with Russia. And all you got to do is do a little history, right. Russia essentially looks as Ukraine as a Russian territory dating back to the 1500s. Okay, and it certainly has provided a monster monster monster support vehicle for Russia and all of its natural resources in particular its ability to, it's essentially the bread basket of Russia for feeding and grain and all the everything within agriculture in there.
As well as its support in that region to access other areas too. Right. So it's a very strategic place. Okay. So you see all this take place right now Radcliffe reportedly gave the FSB a bleak assessment of Russia's position basically saying, hey, we know your struggling, we know your people are not doing well. The front line is bogged down. It's not moving anywhere. And that's another thing to recognize that you have all of this these denounced the Lashank region. They're basically in this front line trench warfare stalemate. And so Russia has accomplished most of what it set out to do, which was to capture those eastern portion of Ukraine, those eastern regions, because that's what they believe is theirs, right.
So the Ukrainian intelligence agencies got into an argument on the street and they open fire on each other. So it's not a real good look. It'd be like, you know, top units in the agency and the FBI, like going head to head on the street of Potomac Ave and getting into a gun fight with each other. That's that's what that represents. So it's obviously some infighting on what's taken place going on in Ukraine. All right. Now, you know, the idea behind this is is a lot of the information that's coming out. We're getting from different reports, whether it's axiots or Fox News or whatever. We always have to cipher through these reports and try and find the things that both sides agree on or any side that's reporting that the common statistical or facts that are in there. And that's what we try to do as, as Jordi helps me go through and and breaks these things down. We're really hoping that we get kind of what the middle ground is in terms of determined facts. That's what we're looking to do.
I just want to really talk about my incredible partnership with one of my best friends. And that's Evan Hafer and the boys over at Black Rifle Coffee. You know, what's next for Ukraine? I think obviously you're going into the winter months coming up. There's some word out there that Russia is is softening them up for a new offensive prior to the winter season. And what does that look like? Well, there was a recent massive strike on August 28th where Russia hit a warehouse in Mila, Bucha and the Bucha District, West of Kiev. Now, the Ukrainian officials have said this was an a big ammunition depot, but secondary explosions, as you might imagine, with these things were massive in really how to huge impact with a death toll alleged or reported deathful of 38 people, which was the deadliest attack so far this year.
There's been some other reports of Russia hitting strategic warehouses throughout Ukraine, which are distribution points for food. There's been some reporting online about the shelves and supermarkets being bare in certain regions in Ukraine. So it would appear that Russia is really starting to tax the Ukrainian people. And you know, that that's how you get pressure on the Ukrainian government, right? If you impact people's daily lives, the citizens or the regular folks that aren't in war, then they'll start making waves like what the hell's going on? We can't get groceries. I can't feed my family. Is this war worth it? And that's how you do that strategically, right? Is to attack the civilian population so they become anti war, very common tactics use. Now, Sunday, Russia's defense minister publicly announced it is preparing for in quotation, massive strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Now, think about it. If you're preparing for a huge offensive, potentially in the fall before the winter hits and you go and you annihilate energy infrastructure, which is used to what create heat to the world.
You can be able to cook fuel cars, fuel generators, and you attack that stuff going into the winter. Now that again puts this exorbitant amount of pressure on your population, which is a reaction. Now, coincidentally, just so you know, we are doing similar things in Iran. And I'll get to that here in a little bit as I summarize this whole thing with our sanctions as well as our strikes. So, in the beginning to think about hitting key strategic civilian infrastructure to put pressure on the population, every, every government does this. That's how you turn the people against the warfare or you have them dig in deeper. It's just the way it works. All right. So, the escalation pattern as I see it, you have a lot more daytime attacks on Kiev, right, which have traditionally been pretty rare. And that's, you know, you got to read the tea leaves in this. Why is Russia. Now, again, don't get me wrong. Ukraine has sent out a ton of attacks against Russia, Russia infrastructure,
energy, Russian distribution points. They have been flying massive swarm drone swarms into Russian territory as well. Now, Zelensky's deputy chief of staff Pavlo Polisa said the intel that they have shows that Putin has ordered as military to prepare offensive scenarios in northern Ukraine. All right. So, remember, in the beginning of the war, when they invaded when Russian, they invaded from the north and they got massively bogged down in the weather months. Their columns weren't effectively supplied correctly. Are the Ukrainian response was was really good initially plenty of missile systems that were sold to them via NATO and American outside forces. And they were able to push that back. I don't think Putin's army was prepared to know how to wage war. That was four years, five years ago. Now they have profound amount of experience. They have this whole Eastern front lockdown with a tremendous amount of Ukrainian forces.
Just trying to stifle them from gaining ground and stop that defensive, those defensive lines. So what does that do that, that suggests a profound, a profound vulnerability in the northern portion of Ukraine. All right. Now, here's the deal. As this pops off, right, you have the rhetoric begin to intensify. Obviously, Zelensky is going off. He's threatening to attack Russian airlines that come into their airspace potentially and really puts on a negative us. It doesn't appear that Zelensky is actively trying to negotiate or find some off ramp to the escalation of this. Right. And then we'll have a little video as we play some other videos. First of what Putin, how Putin reacts to all of this here in a second. All right. So, you know,
anytime in or a government in particular, you know, governments that have massive military camp of capabilities threatens to escalate strikes. Right. What are you doing? You're probing. You're seeing how people are going to react. You're going to see how the leaders of NATO react. You're going to see how everybody else reacts. And it's kind of like it's like saying, hey, if you don't, if you cross this line, I'm going to punch you in your face. And then you see how the person positions his body to see how they react emotionally. You see if they're, you know, facial features, if they tighten their fists. And like, this is just like this is what you do in a fight. You flex to see a reaction. You pick at the sides. You provoke to see what's going to happen next. And I think, you know, that's what Russia is beginning to do for multitude of reasons. You know, the targeting logic, I think behind all this is is when you think about a grid war against Kiev, prior to, like I said, prior to the winner, you know, I think you're going to, you're really trying to intensify the demoralization or civilian morale.
And we've all seen the videos where you have Ukrainian men basically being snatched off the street and put in these vans and taken to the front line and the meat grinder. We also had an American politician that went over on his own personal visit who was suggesting that Ukrainian women should volunteer and join the fight at a higher scale, because they're fighting for their existential, you know, reality. So I found that interesting. Now, I think one of the things, you know, you always got to watch as, as, as not only the strikes seem to be getting more intense on civilian populations from Russian to Kiev, but also Ukraine and to Russia as well too. They're targeting civilians now, and that's where things begin to shift in these types of war, because you're, you're trying to provoke an escalation in there that gives you the opportunity to deliver some just catastrophic circumstances. And obviously Russia has an air superiority.
They have, you know, tons of aircraft, they have these hypersonic missile systems that we've seen strike that has no defense whatsoever on these things. So, you know, is it, is it one night? Does, does Ukraine shoot a Russian aircraft out of the sky and call it terrorism or whatever it is or justifies it? It's on the Ukrainian side or near it, or it's a rogue drone or whatever. And then what happens does, does Russia then launch 100 supersonic missiles at Kiev and decimates all of the major infrastructure in Kiev? I don't know, but it certainly seems like it's on the table. And, and to just take you back to a couple of these ideas, I went through it. I wanted to see if there was any commentary about regional wars escalating into World War III comments. So, one I found was by Sergei Lavrov, who is the foreign minister.
And he at this territory of meetings forum reported on August 22nd, he said in quotes, he said World War III in quotes has already begun in a new form, end quote. He went on to accuse the West of provoking global conflicts to maintain its dominance and describe NATO actions as Ukraine plus earlier Middle East interventions as the start of a broader confrontation aimed at Russia's strategic defeat and claim that Russia is fighting alone against the in quotes collective West and warned that Germany and other NATO members were preparing for a direct military engagement with Russia. And that was Lavrov, Demetri Medyev, who is the former president for Putin for a few years, who is now the deputy chairman of the Security Council in a TASS interview on August 4th.
He said World War III quote will undoubtedly begin unquote if Trump quote continues his insane course of criminal criminally changing political regimes and quote any event could be the trigger he framed as a US slash allied actions as a war to preserve global dominance more recently after Trump called Putin crazy. He said he was quote playing with fire and quote Medyev posted the only quote really bad thing and quote he knew of was World War III and hope Trump understood this. So you have two major senior people in Russia basically saying they believe this has already begun NATO, European Union, US through its other allies have already starting the this this dominoes to take place. Now we're going to pivot on the story a little bit and I want you to listen to a first and foremost the head of the European Union and pull that up for me, Jordy.
And I want you to listen closely to how she describes because the next part of this this hold on this next part of this rewind it all way the next part of this story is really interesting because just as there's this secret mission over to Russia. Just just the literally the other day on Sep Tuesday September 1st, Germany, Germany, formally blamed Russia for an attempted attempted drone attack at lipstick, howie airport on August 4th, a drone laden and this was remember this happened back on August 4th and it's just breaking through the news now and becoming an issue right that a drone lady. And with explosives found near you guessed it a Ukrainian cargo plane. So there was a drone that was going to attack a cargo plane going to Ukraine to support the war effort from Germany.
And by the way, this thing didn't detonate. There was no damage done. It was just found on the tarmac. So once that happened, it sparked this massive outrage, this uprising to the tune where we're talking literally in terms of European and NATO leaders basically saying prepare yourselves were going to war. So go ahead and. Play all Ursula quotes here for me we're going to love this. The foundation will not work and this is why I'm meeting with NATO's secretary general today. We are united. Europe and NATO will not just maintain our pressure on Russia. We will increase it and we will not stop not until Russia stops bombing and killing innocent children, men and women in Ukraine. And here right there, they basically frame in this as an attack. I got one more for you. And I want you to pull up. I sent you the mark root post who's the head of NATO.
You see that one. Now here's another post right and there's been some commentary from this guy just thought this post was was perfect to understand this is from mark root who's the secretary general of NATO. And remember NATO is the alliance that came after World War II that basically said the US, England, Germany or at the time west Germany, all the non-contries that got dominated by communism because you know that's what you do. You partner with communism to defeat Germany. And so post World War II NATO began this pack that says, you know, if you know if you're attacked we're going to come to your aid with that's America too. So he posted this. This is mark root quote. I spoke with Friedrich Merz who's the chancellor of Germany. NATO stands in full solidarity with Germany after the Russian hybrid attack on Lipsig on four August the evidence is clear.
And I welcome the measures announced by Germany in response. NATO will continue to strengthen our ability to deter and defend all allies against any threat, including maligned actions like those seen in Lipsig and elsewhere across the alliance. Russia's attempts to intimidate us to undermine our unity and our willingness to support Ukraine our futile and will fail our support to Ukraine is unwavering as is our iron cloud commitment iron cloud commitment to NATO's collective defense and quote alright. So now the sudden you've got two of the head of the people and there's more commentary there was another long one by the German chancellor I just it went on for a while but he's saying the same thing we're not afraid of you. We're in we're we have a great strategic alliance where against Russia we're going to continue and in fact we're going to ramp up our support and continue to you know do the right thing in support of democracy.
And you know all right that's their position we get it and so they're moving this towards a much higher degree. Alright one of the interesting things that came out of this and this is something that I found the interior minister dawn Brent. Basically police work offensive patterns and intelligence findings established Russian responsibility and quotes operations acting on behalf of the Russian state agencies. The FM waiting fool said this is not an isolated incident is part of a broader pattern of Russian hybrid operations in Europe I don't really know what hybrid operations mean but essentially I I think what they're suggesting is that they started a guerrilla war in European countries because of their support for Ukraine. And the thing I all I the thing that I I step back on always as as a person that's you know been involved in warfare a lot I've historically been consumed with it for the last 30 years as well too is that.
The core objective for the European Union and NATO for many many many probably three decades is to get Ukraine to become a NATO NATO member right because that puts us right on the border which we already have NATO countries that are on the border of Russia. But this one is in the main course that that Russia really needs because of access whether it's fleet through the black sea as well as the bread basket and this you know all all those things I said before. That this is continued over and over and over again the provocation of Russia and it's claim to Ukraine right and how that has ramped up and there's a ton of great. But I don't need to explain all that there's a million great. A podcast for both sides of this right both sides from John Meshishmire and his idea of it which is that the US and NATO have provoked us to other people on the other side old neocons that have basically said no this was Russia's intent the whole time.
And that their ultimate objective long term is to reclaim the old USSR territories at its height right that's that's kind of what is being said. Now Putin has responded to this and bring up Putin's response because I found this exchange between a reporter kind of interesting and then I'll kind of get into my assessment. But this is kind of fascinating go ahead and play that for me would you. German authorities have accused Russia of being behind the drone incident in life. Claiming it was our drone carrying explosives. But the whole story seems pretty murky to begin with. They've already renounced the agreement on the Russian house and are moving to close our consulate in Bonn. On top of that just a few hours ago, Zelensky openly started threatening our aviation claiming that civilian aircraft have no place in air space where Ukrainian drones are operating. How would you comment on this?
First regarding the actions of the German authorities. I believe this is primarily tied to their domestic political situation. The Chancellor's internal political standing is precarious and he lacks the trust of his citizens for obvious reasons because he isn't defending national interests. He's trading them away. Well, look at the glaring economic missteps. Enterprises are shutting down. People are losing their jobs and the standard of living is dropping. It's unclear why any of this is being done. The only way to explain it to the public is by claiming they need to counter an aggressive Russia. But where is the proof? So they planted the proof. I would like to remind you that quite recently, a few months ago, maybe a year ago at the most,
the German authorities were accusing Russia of blowing up Nord Stream. Even back then, I was amazed at how such nonsense could even enter their heads considering that we are interested in selling gas to Europe. Even now we would be ready to supply it. All they have to do is push the button. Well, just make the decision to push the button. But they lack the backbone. Or as we say, their gut is too thin because of American sanctions and that's all there is to it. But you're fine. But now they have to explain the motives for this kind of behavior. All right. So, you know, what you got in this is you have basically Putin has come out and said, listen, this is bullshit. And much like all the other times they've attempted, we all know the Russian Nord Stream pipeline was not a Russian operation. There was an investigation by Germany. It came out. It was Ukrainians who who did that who blew it up. Again, you know, that's one of the most sophisticated dive operations I've ever seen.
So I didn't know Ukrainian divers were that well trained and whatever. But that's substantial. And that directly affected their energy. We also saw Ukraine suggest that Russia saw to shot a missile system in the Poland that turned out to be incorrect as well. So the facts as I see him is Linsky is starting to wane with his internal surroundings. I think there's dissent amongst his military and political leadership. I think the people of Ukraine are tired of the war. They don't want to continue doing this at all. Obviously, there hasn't been an election. All that has been pushed on pause for a long period of time. But it seems like Zelensky recognizes that he needs more help and he needs to somehow get European Union. And it also seems like the European Union and NATO, they want to continue waging this proxy war against Russia because they believe that it's weakening Russia's capabilities.
I don't know if that's arguably what I've seen or I've heard reported other than the fact that they have a tremendous loss of life, right. Some estimates that it's at 1.5 could be 2.5 could be 2 million 2 million young men and women mostly young men from Russian Ukraine have been slaughtered in this this war. So, you know, when you look at the rhetoric as a boiling point and I that's what we have to always assess. Are we at a tipping point, a boiling point, right. You've got NATO Secretary General Rout back Berlin, evidence is clear Berlin is shutting down different types of consulates in Germany, Russian consulates. So, that's basically saying we're kicking out any potentiality of what is it.
Diplomatic recourse or diplomatic communication in the traditional way it's been a lot of times it's just a fleck get out you're an ask it out. We've done that a bunch in the United States, Russia's done it as well too. But the other the other aspect, you know, you even have Poland's Tusk basically after a call with root, he said that the Russian escalation is proceeding and the next six months will be decisive, which I get to suggest that Russia is really going to go on the offensive and try and put an end of this thing over the next several months or six months or whatever. Now the EU foreign policy chief called the ellipsic incident bearing all the hallmarks of state spots or terrorism. Again, I haven't seen any detailed evaluation of the drone, the drone system, the manufacturing, what it looks like, the engine systems, the propulsion systems, the weapon systems how it was made.
I don't know so, but what I will tell you in in a region where hundreds of billions of dollars in military equipment has been funneled, transported, moved, delivered. There's open reports and stories that there are missile systems that have made their way into Middle Eastern countries, Mexico, there's there was a theory that Mexican cartels had some of the weapons platforms and systems that had been moved out. We also know that Ukraine is a pretty corrupt country at one point prior to this kicking off. It was like the second most corrupt country in the world behind Afghanistan. You know, that this type of stuff might make its way out in different ways and it certainly would benefit Ukraine not and I'm not suggesting that this was a false flag. Although it seems kind of strange that a country that has the technology to wage the most sophisticated drone warfare in modern history would make a shitty drone that doesn't work that's left on whatever.
But again, that's my own opinion, my own assessment. There was many other ways that you could provoke Germany and Germany's people to be against what their leadership wants with the escalation or the hyper escalation of of now. Here's here's a challenge behind the backdrop of all this. There is a major major election beginning taking place in Germany. Right. And this election is the current power system is going up against the fastest growing right wing political system in Germany in modern history called the AFD. Right. And some of the kind of domestic backdrop terms of numbers. There's a Saxony and Holt vote on Saturday September 6th and currently right now the AFD is pulling above 40%. Now this is the same political party that last year Germany tried to make illegal calling them terrorists or right wing crazies and brought it to court to try and say this is an illegal party based on some of the remnants of the not you know Democrat national socialist party the Nazis back and then that they represent the same things that had been outlawed prior to do.
Well a judge basically knocked that down and said no it's legal you can have them now you know with Berlin and the Meckenberg Voppermine voting is going to take place two weeks after Saturday. The National AFD leads at about 28% versus 21% for the CDU slash CSU the current leadership of Germany. Now Merch's position is been a historically weak one one survey found that 85% of voters are disfat satisfied with the current state of domestic policy in Germany. The AFD they suggested that is Russian friendly that's what a lot of people comment their Russian sympathizers but their stance is that we do not need to be in any more wars at all we do not need to support Russia or support Ukraine in this war it goes against its bankrupting us we need to focus on our own domestic policies illegal immigration.
Failing jobs surging energy prices this needs to be the focus and so you know when you put pressure on on a people economically typically they become more nationalistic and so the AFD is tapping into this this is also the same organization that last year something like seven and I think that's great we'll look this story up for me Jordy way they had seven people who were running for reelection get murdered within a couple weeks of the murder died strangely in the weeks leading up to their election. So the AFD is by far the biggest threat to the current globalist European Union mentality that Angela Merkel and the rest of European Union burnt built over the last 30 years or 20 plus years they are a threat to this. You know what you got that story for me how many people. You know seven people.
Seven official reserve candidates from the AFD party passed away over a short two week period leading up to local elections in the north Ryan Westfall a region of Germany it was in September 2025 did it ever give the conclusion of what these people died from or anything like that. The official response says that the AFD regional leaders in law enforcement urged the public to stop spreading unverified rumors and respect the findings of the investigation. What were the causes natural causes long term illness health issues and suicide. Okay so there you have it respected if but it's kind of weird when you have an elections and seven people in the party that's taken has threat to take over the major party die are you. I'm not saying anything the various took place but it certainly caused the make you go. That's unlikely probably really intense coincidence right there combine that with all the attacks on them politically jurist of judicially.
How leaders from other countries are are going attacking these people as as radical white wing nut jobs right the modern day Nazis has been said over and over and over. I think as you look at all of these things right there's tensions just seem to be growing growing growing you've got you know a long history of the European Union and NATO being profound advocates for Ukraine and Ukraine's war against Russia. It's for the heartbeat of democracy. Well we also see kind of the stalemate escalation slash not quite thinking we had you know we're not really getting to where where the accomplishments we wanted to get to in Iran.
And so it's like where do you get again I'll go back to the midterms and the political the elections coming up what would you do if you are running and you're your foreign policy or domestic policy was the continuation of your of your people's text equivalent being spent on these wars overseas that seemingly having negative impact on the war. And so that's the impact on your way or quality of life so what do you do what well if it were me I would increase the the concept of threat analysis right well this things existential if this could pop at any minute the rhetoric's going up on the other side they're actively trying to hurt us in our own country now there's a rise of you know all these different ways so what do you do in order to make sure you can solidify your election and stay in power to keep this thing going. And rolling you generate a heightened sense of fear in your people unfortunately I think for many different countries many different people who are either directly or superfluously engaged when these conflicts the populations of of these areas these countries are becoming weary that's what it looks like to me.
So you know one of the things that you have to watch is you have to watch right you look at the strategic nature of the actual war the strikes the responses what's taking place like recently I ran sent missiles into Jordan at our bases and what is a basically saying hey look we're going to reach you all over the place none of your bases are safe none of this is good you're in and what are they doing. They're building up a lack of morale in the military and they're also you know demoralizing the American people saying you're not in control of this thing you know and it would appear that Russia is potentially engaged in similar similar tactics if you will. So you know as I close this out one of the things that you have to start to recognize is that diplomacy at these levels and at these scale right typically
that's what it really needs to come from a collective outside pressure right so where is it from Russia I would love to see some other players get involved some other potentially Spain Italy more of the you know Eastern European countries kind of come together and say this is ridiculous this is enough force the hand right that it's doing it obviously Trump said he was going to fix it in the first week of his if a being nominated that's definitely not feasible it's not going to happen I don't think we have much political influence there I think the Radcliffe meeting was kind of this bizarre flags or request or whatever hey slow down what you're doing so ours doesn't look as bad for the midterms maybe something like that I don't know but what I can tell you is that it seems like these regional little skirmishes or more than skirmishes these are these are these are significant conflicts these are hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars that we've spent in Ukraine hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars that we've spent in Iran as well as the European Union billions tens of billions of dollars Israel spending billions of dollars
right all of these the Gulf States are probably spending billions of dollars purchasing defense systems for us it just seems like it's it's popping and the diplomacy is waning and and all you got to do is listen to the world leaders they're literally telling you what their thoughts are and they're basically saying well we're not going to quit we're not going to end it we can't it's our duty to the Iranian people it's our duty to do it it's our duty to our relationships with Israel it's a duty to the Middle East our partners there it's our duty to the European Union it's our duty to the Ukrainians and then the other side is saying literally the same thing to its people and its relationships as well and so my estimations are that a lack of diplomacy intensifies and it's not a stalemate I don't feel like we're I feel like we're moving out of a stalemate into a kinetic escalation and unfortunately for all of us that's going to have impact on us financially obviously whether it's through more spending more debt disruptions in global markets of some kind
and it's also going to have political ramifications right what when you have when you have conflicts taking place that go against people that are tired they feel economically oppressed or depressed it it it funnels it flames the fire for revolutionary thinking if you will and I think we're seeing that in the Democratic Party I think there's more aggressive talk on the far right of the Republican Party and far left of the Republican Party I mean right now both parties are at war with each other in multiple ways I almost see like five or six different political parties emerging out of all this which is really fascinating we'll do a show on that here in the lead up to the midterms but it's very very concerning that this no diplomacy or active fertile diplomacy is taking place and it's just more rhetoric of escalation
so basically that's my assessment of what's taking place in the last week or so I hope that it's given you some context to think about to map it all out a little bit more it's incredibly complex I'm struggling to keep up with everything in all the pieces and how they're connected for sure I know you must be as well too so Jordy and I are main mission as again to bring some context to the tsunami of information and to bring a little bit of my truth which I hope is is is close to a rational assessment of the situation as possible so that you can come to your own conclusions and decide whether you think the U.S. is engaged in the right foreign policy as well as our partners in NATO in the European Union all right again once again you really benefit us if you can share this with somebody like subscribe leave us a review reviews are fantastic because the algorithm is simply
