Unfortunately, you have to start putting makeup on because I podcast looking pretty rough, pretty rough, and then I like to sit on the couch, but now I can't do that anymore. I have to sit in an uncomfortable chair with makeup on, but I do it for you people because you don't want me in my other form. I've literally never sat on the couch during a, ever. I've always in this exact chair. Well, you have an office. I'm in my dining room. My dining room is part of my living room

and kitchen. I'm in my room. You bought a desk for your office paint room. I've never used it. I'm actually getting rid of it because I've never used it. It's just taking up space because it's all wrong. I feel weird in certain areas and I feel weird down there where it is. I'm up here. You can't be contained. You shant. I shant be contained. There are a lot of things to talk about this week. It's one of those, what do we call them? Jumbled. It's a variety show. A variety show. A lot of current events still unfolding. A lot of strange things happening. We're recording this on Tuesday, September 1st. By the time this air is on Thursday, oh, you said it's hump day, but it's actually the day after hump day right now. By the time this air is, because we record on Wednesdays too. So we do have a hump day episode. But by the time this airs, we might have a verdict in the Lindsey Clancy trial this morning, Tuesday, jurors said that they were deadlocked

and the judge told them to get back to the jury deliberation room and try again. But I don't think it's going to happen here. I think this is too polarizing. Yeah. I can't imagine being one of those jurors right now. It's so fucking crazy. Well, people feel so strongly about the elements of this case that it's like, I'm not surprised at all that like one person is so firm that they're like, I'm not budging on this zero percent chance. So yeah, I'm skeptical that they'll make it happen. But they have a very hard job. We'll see. Yeah. Crazy, crazy. All right. What do we want to jump into first on our list here? Well, while we're talking about Lindsey Clancy, something interesting happened outside of court yesterday that I think was really interesting. So Lindsey's attorney, Kevin Reddington, he's been, people are like fanboying, fangirling over him. Everyone loves him because he's fighting for Lindsey very hard. And outside court during one of the jury deliberation days, he spoke

to the media and he said, called out specifically Sean Hannity and Nancy Grace and said that their reporting has been egregious. And because apparently during one of Nancy Grace's segments, she said something that she claimed that Lindsey Googled how to kill, which never happened. So Reddington is just like finally like, he called her the queen of mean and is like, there has to be some accountability. People can't just say whatever they want. And he was like, these lies hurt people. Like, it's not just Lindsey, it's Patrick Clancy. And so then I saw that Nancy, social team or whoever did it, took down all of her videos about it where she made those claims. So interesting stuff. So that's one thing I wanted to point out. But we have developments in another high profile trial that we've been talking about. The David case. Yes. Tell me more. So everything we've talked about with the David case before,

we're all pretrial hearings, basically like seeing what evidence was going to be able to be like all sorts of stuff. It was all pretrial. He was officially arraigned last week. And he officially pleaded not guilty to the charges he's facing. But that's not what's getting the most buzz. What's getting the most buzz right now is that his very high profile attorneys, his team of attorneys Blair Burke, Marilyn Fednarski and Regina Peter abruptly told the judge that they're unable to continue representing David and requested to withdraw from representing him. Yeah, it was like, yeah, it was a big deal because Blair Burke's a big deal like represented a lot of high profile clients. Now the reason for people in court, I saw a lot of like people on TikTok being like, this just happened. We don't know why. And there was a lot of like buzz about that in speculation. But apparently they clarified later that it was because he's indigent, which means he has no money. And now a court appointed public defender

will be representing him. Now this is very surprising to a lot of people because David had his record deal, his interscope record deal awarded him at least $11 million. We can't know exactly how much money he had. Where is he? But he had a lot of like brand deals like also they were pulled when he was accused. But his tour like that's just a record deal. Toring, merch, like this guy has money. He did seem like the type of kid that was living beyond his means, though. Maybe I mean, as house in LA was rented, it seems like he bought properties in Texas, which there was remember when the suspicion around him began to loom. And he reportedly transferred to of these properties to his mother. So a lot of people are speculating that he's done this to protect his assets that he likely has moved assets, put it into a trust, awarded his mom like the

trustee like whatever, because you have to prove that you're indigent. You can't just say it. Like they need to do like a forensic accounting of your estate, so to say. Yeah, but I'm getting a little tiger to this. You know of him just in general. No, I just don't think it's right that like people like Rexie Raman can admit like we're getting divorced on paper so that my wife can keep the assets. And like, because it's like, yeah. So okay, cool. So taxpayers like me, I have to pay for David's defense, even though he's a fucking millionaire. Right. Right. I don't like that. And they also do it so that Celeste's family can't take it too civilly. You know, and it's like, you shouldn't be allowed to do that. Like I really feel like assets should be frozen after like after they're charged. And granted he wasn't charged when he did this. So I don't know. There's always going to be loopholes because yeah, people need to protect because if they're innocent and that's really the argument, right? If they're innocent, they need to be able to protect their assets because what if

they are? Sounds like a complicated legal issue, but it sounds unfair. I don't know why this reminds me of this, but it's like there's so many outdated laws out there that I feel like we need to kind of we need to do a little rewrite. Like I'm thinking about the squatting laws. I know that's nothing like this whatsoever, but it's like there are some of these laws that make absolutely no sense anymore. So it's like let's let's do a little redo and not to be lame, but that's why local politics, you know, local and state politics really do matter because our states make all those decisions. I voted I voted a lot recently. Congrats. Becoming much more civic civically interested. Well, let's let's be honest, your local elections are the only ones that matter these days. So yes, and you know, what's fascinating, people all over the country like there's a lot to be said about Los Angeles right now that it's like fallen into

disrepair or whatever because Karen Bass our mayor is being like challenged. She's really like cleaning up the streets because she's afraid of losing her position. So putting pressure on these people really does work, but I digress. The David case. So we'll see now he's got a public defender. Maybe he knows the writings on the wall. Maybe he knows he's going to be convicted. And that's why he's like why I waste all my money if I'm going to be convicted. Yeah, I mean, I guess we'll see what happens, but Jesus, good riddance. Now there's another case that we've been following pretty closely that we covered with former bachelor Clayton Eckerd. Yes. Have you been seeing the updates there? I did. So Laura Owens put guilty, right? In a shocking twist. Shocking twist. I mean, I'm sure all of you have listened to our episode with Clayton and Stephanie Young who did the love love bond. Love traps love trap. Well, I'm thinking of three different things at once. Yes, the love trapped

podcast with Clayton, which is honestly one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to in recent history. She did such a fantastic job on it. And the story tells itself because it's just absolutely insane. But this is a shocking twist because that woman, she was double tripling quadrupling down on her bullshit and would not budge whatsoever. So her pleading guilty is very shocking to me. Yeah. And I've been following I follow all that Clayton Eckerd, you know, Justice for Clayton accounts that give these amazing play by plays of how these things unfold. And apparently it's like she was crying in the judges chambers and like having a fit. And I really don't think she wanted to plead guilty. What I think is happening. So leading up to this, her family has been in this like embroiled in this bankruptcy controversy as well. And they were trying to file for bankruptcy, which would have basically helped them save their house, even though they haven't been paying their mortgage. And a go fund me started by Laura Owens mom was coming

under scrutiny how she was spending. That was denied. They can't try to file for bankruptcy again for two years, which was a huge blow. So I think like even though the family was helping her double down, I think eventually they had to be like, man, like we're we're tapped out. You can't fight, you can't fight this anymore. Like there's no money to take this to trial. You don't have an attorney. Like we're out of money because she is claimed that she hasn't made money in years. So it's like that means her parents have been bankrolling this. So and she took a plea deal that did not guarantee no jail time. And that is what her lawyer was pushing for saying like, I we're open to a plea deal, but she's no jail time. And she's facing jail time. She's facing between three and 12 years. And I really do think they're going to give her jail time. Really? I think so because like everybody's watching this case pretty closely. And what she's done is like, okay, so now you're

admitting that you lied about the twins. So you lied, you perjured yourself, you cost Clayton money, you ruined his reputation, you did this to two other men. Yeah. Not only that, you did this to you. The other victim. And you accused some of domestic violence. And you, oh, she like ruined his life. Yeah. Like, like, good job. He's quick. He's quick. He's like, his relationship with suffering. Yeah. You shouldn't be allowed to do that to people if you're just lying. Yeah. It is so, so crazy. I mean, 12 years is a lot. That's more than some people get for murder. Yeah. More than Casey Anthony got wolfed. Yeah. No, none. Exactly. So I don't think she'll get 12. Yeah. I think she'll get one. That's still one year in prison. She's she'll be a felon though. Like, she'll understand. But it's like, to not get job. I mean, I don't know, man, it's not looking good.

It's like, I hope it was worth it because it's dark stuff, man. Let me turn to something a little less dark. Okay. So I saw, I saw this headline in the news and it said, the serial butt sniffer of LA has returned. Now, I swear I've seen this headline before because I have now. Do you remember the serial butt sniffer in LA? I think you talked about it on a prior deep dive. So he is back. Now, go to the third time again. Okay. He's back again. Now, go to the butt sniffer tab in our document right now and go to the bottom because there's a picture of this guy. This guy is unmistakable because he has one specific quality that is so interesting and unique to me. What is his ears? His ears are like trumpets going out the side of his head. Yeah. He's got very interesting ears. So you could not miss this guy at all. So this, his nickname is the serial butt sniffer. His name is

Colise Crouter. He's 39 years old. He was arrested on Friday afternoon after two stores in Glendale reported a man acting suspiciously, and bending down around people. This is so creepy. Like, to think about being, and you know, the store, it was like at a Marshalls, like a TJ Maxx. It's like, you're just trying to be a Maxinee staff out there. And some man is bending down, looking up your pants. Like, that is so gross. Disgustingly scary to me. It's so creepy. I think I told you that I, when I was younger, I was at the, I was at a Forever 21. I distinctly remember in a guy put his foot like behind me, because I was wearing a dress and he had a fucking mirror on his shoe. I've tried out of a movie. I've never seen, I was like, I cannot believe this is happening. I cannot believe it was happening. That is so insane. And I was in like seventh or eighth grade. And I like spun around and I was like, I couldn't believe it. I was like, who, it's so weird. It's such a

strange like that's gratifying. I think it's because it's like, it's violating. It's like, you think you're getting away with something like, well, it's in public. It's like very not allowed. Yeah. Very illegal. But it's like, and it's also just like that, like it reminds me of scenes from like creepy guys and movies from like back in the day. It seems like it's made up. Yeah, it seems fake. It's so bizarre. So he was arrested on South Brandeble of our, that's where like the Glendale Galleria is. He was arrested on suspicion of a parole violation because he was on parole for prior but sniffing incidents from prior but sniffing incidents back in July of 2025 is probably when I talked about it last because he was arrested in the Burbank Nordstrom Rack. Like he is going, you know, these are the stores that a woman should be able to freely go around, smell some candles, find some nice comfy pajamas, maybe get a deal on a pair of sneakers. Like this isn't where we need a butt sniffer. But he was arrested there after reports of somebody roaming the women's

department and sexually harassing a female customer. Then he was arrested the next month in August of 2025 after allegedly sniffing a woman's behind instead of a wall green store in Burbank. So he's been doing this back from 2021 and he also was arrested in November of 2024 after feeling to meet an annual sex offender registration requirement. So this dude's just out and about doing the same thing over and over again. But like you never know when somebody like this is going to escalate. We need women's only stores. Well, I mean, that feel like a Nordstrom Rack is pretty women's only. There should be no men allowed. Right. I'm wearing the same page about this. Right? We're on the same page about this or at least women's hours. Women's hours. You know how they have seniors? I think they have senior hours at Costco or at least they did during the pandemic. That's what you need. We need women only hours. I love that idea. We're no

fear of butt sniffers. Loom. I love that. I know. Right? Yeah. Okay. So there's one thing that you realize when you're getting older and that is that you can't wear the same makeup that you did in your early 20s. So I've been seeing articles circulating about this and I wasn't really interested at first. And then I saw another article and I was like, you have my attention. So there's a stocking case out of Fondalac, Wisconsin. That started as a stocking case and is now now seeming darker. And I want to just go through some of it because it's so odd. Now, the victim, I'm going to make up a name. We'll just call our Jane because we're going to not out use you as Jane. Basically reported this guy, 47-year-old Benjamin Larson, for stocking her for 13 years.

It started in 2013 and they'd only gone out a couple of times. That's what's so weird about it. Now, a search warrant was served on its house in relation to the stocking. And then now the case is expanding. So should I talk about the stocking history first or should I talk about what they found first? Stocking history. Okay. So original stocking instances, so the victim stopped dating Larson, the suspect, after he called her, saying he was suicidal and had a gun to his head. Now, that was really intense for her. And she also would say that he had strange obsessions, including with serial killer Ed Gheen, and that he had like this interest in death and gore. So she's like, I'm not into this for all of those very valid reasons. Now, after she dumped him though, he couldn't seem to let it go. She moved to Canada and didn't share

her new contact information with him, but that didn't stop Larson from finding her. Then he sent her an email two years after she dumped him in 2015 and told her that he had gotten quote, their symbol and her initials tattooed on himself. So two years after she dumped him after going out a couple times, he gets a tattoo dedicated to her. And says and said, and so are these rambling emails and letters saying that he kept all this stuff. So he said, he kept every single word you ever wrote me a ziplock bag full of polished stones and a stone wire wrapping kit. Unclear how that's related to her. Okay. He kept a Tibetan cross direct quote, you so sneakily and lovingly left in my pocket. He claimed, I'm sure she really put it in your pocket, dude. Alone. I'm sure you didn't just make that up yourself and buy it and say that she did that. Yes. And then alone earring still tangles with your hair in it. Two pieces of scrimshaw.

What scrimshaw? That's a great question. I'm going to look that up right now. Now. Scrimshaw is the traditional folk art of carving and engraving intricate designs in a bone ivory or whale baline. Two pieces of scrimshaw, he kept a pressed blue skillet. What's a skillet? Let's see. This dude is definitely collecting things to do a spell with. Google doesn't even know what a skillet is. A coin dated 1984, a blank shell necklace ready for engraving. Two cards, a single voicemail that remains. A skillet is a flower. Okay. It's like a purple flower. All right. A pressed blue skillet. There you go. That makes sense. So he's sending all these creepy correspondences saying, you know, he also wrote my will to care about you is just too strong. I simply don't let go and I don't forget. So this is all leading up to the police

sending her conducting the search warrant. So after this, he sends countless cards to her. She sends cards, he sends cards to her mom. Then his therapist tries to reach out to her because she's a therapist too. And the victim is like, I don't want to discuss his therapy. I barely know this person. So why is therapist reaching out to her? I don't know. But the police say it's real because I looked at the documents and it's real. Then he starts sending cards to her work. Then he starts actually retaliating and leaving bad reviews on her. You know, it's like psychology today.com. Like you can find therapists and people can leave reviews and he starts leaving fictitious reviews trying to hurt her business, trying to hurt her career in a reputation which is legal and it's fraud. So anyways, that's sort of what leads up to the police ultimately

searching this house. They're looking for evidence of the stalking because she's trying to take steps to like stop this because he's ruining her life. Now, so they go into the house and they're just looking for these things, right, tied to the stalking. But then they find other strange things. So, officers discovered a padlocked plywood room containing a bed and walls covered with multiple framed images of nude females, skulls and skeletons. There's also a painting above the bed of what appears to be the victim. Okay. Oh my god. There's also a like a sex stall on the bed that's like wrapped up in bonded shit. Really dark disgusting stuff. But that's just the beginning. They found a grave rubbing of Edgien's headstone. Do you know what a grave rubbing is? No. It's when you put a piece of paper over a grave and then like take a crayon and you can

like get an exact picture, like a picture basically of the grave by like rubbing a crayon and you can see all the engravings. Then they found ten binders labeled Edgien book. Then they found like a true crime memorabilia collection. 22 colorful bullets labeled as the same type used by the zodiac killer. A piece of John Wayne Gacy's brain in a jar. What? How do they know that? Well, apparently there's a label on it. So like he bought it from somewhere, you know, like a memorabilia website. And that's what he's told is in this. But he apparently has all this stuff labeled like on these shelves like a little collection. And then shelves in the room held five human skulls, real skulls, one partial skull along with two large bones in the shape of a cross. There were shrines built to different nationally known serial killers. In another area of the

basement, investigators detailed the discovery of one mummified full body, a full mummified body listed as an Egyptian mummy based on the description next to it. But it's a real mummified body. And one complete set of human remains in a coffin with a glass display over the top of it. What? Yeah. So the warrant further noted it is of concern that Benjamin Larson had these human remains on display amongst naked photos of unidentified women. And with binders of women, he'd been stalking. So he had like a collection of like this victim who was pursuing action against him was not as first, not the only. And he's got like pictures of these women he's stalking alongside all of these human remains really, really disturbing. So obviously like the police are wondering what illegal things are going on here because there's got to be something. We don't know how he

acquired these skulls where the mummy come from. So you know, obviously the guy was brought in and questioned. And they're looking to determine exactly what these human remains are, what period they're from and whether they were acquired through illegal means or criminal means like murder. And also according to the search warrant, Larson told detectives that coffin was passed down to him from his grandfather who was a physician. But when interviewed by detectives, Larson's mother said there's literally no logical explanation for how we would have come to be in possession of these bones. And do you remember Jack a couple months ago we talked about a case of like that grave robbing guy who literally was like stealing bones and he had them all on display in his basement and he was selling them like that could be going on here. I think occasionally there are certain circumstances under which you can legally procure human remains. But I'm sure you can get it off. Dark web. Dark web.

But like considering his obsession and the malice connected to his stalking, there's got to be something worse going on here. I mean, it just seems really strange. No, there's no, there's no way that somebody like this has any self control that could just keep their very, very fucked up obsession just that without actually acting on it. Like I do not believe this guy is not doing because it's like you see the way that he's he's like writing to the girl that the anonymous woman and it's just like no way, no way. Yeah, any man that's obsessed with serial killers, there's something wrong going on. I mean, or any man was, Rex human was, you know, um, TK like exactly. But he posted his $15,000 bail. So he is free and he hasn't been charged with anything else in connection with the items recovered during the search. It's really, really, really strange and really alarming. Yeah. And it's like it's just a story that I think we all need to keep an eye on. But let's go through real quick. Some more information

for some more things found in the basement. So a minute there was more. There was more. I just couldn't I was writing it all out and I was like, I'm just going to screenshot the warrant because I can't fucking write all this. No, tell me if you go down to the last page. So a metal lantern with a black substance in it and a photograph of a white female with blonde hair with documents related to the murder. Oh, this is the most important part. So he has things tied like obsessive collections of locally murdered women to his area. So um photograph of a white female with blonde hair with documents related to the murder of Barrett Beck later determined to be a young female who was blindfolded and strangled in the Wapen Wisconsin area in 1990. So among those documents observed was a forensic science article titled fracture of the next structures and suicidal hangings a retrospective study on contributing variables. And there was an additional folder labeled forensic medicine newspaper articles with numerous articles about missing or murdered

individuals primarily women in the area. So this I think is what the most disturbing stuff is, right? So like he's 47 years old. He could have murdered someone in 1990. Very easily. They also found a plastic tote with a green lid and a black garbage bag located in the basement bedroom that contained numerous items related to victim one. So uh and he told the police when they searched that anything of hers would be in a bin and black garbage specifically naming the earring the coin the pressed scryla the flower that you mentioned Jack as being in the garbage bag. Um among the items in the garbage bag were individual beaded letters of her initials with two heart beads four napkins or paper towels with dried blue flowers. That's the scryla and then the years written out on each 2014 2015 2017 and a partial landscaping stone a bottle of central amber shower gel two paper cups. I think these this is trash that he watched her throw away when he was

following her and picked up and I think that's the same kind of body shower gel she uses or maybe something she left at his house on the handful of dates. Um also where paper cups plastic soda bottles a beer bottle and various letters and writing and a clay head that uh oh no a clay head that appeared to be a rendering of victim one. So he's like taking clay and trying to sculpt her. Oh my god. Additionally found in the basement was a book titled unforgettable stalking Samantha, the harrowing 13 year journey of obsession fear and survival. So that's about a different victim that was stalked for 13 years and an account of victim one who was Jane who we're talking about who was terrorized and stalked for 13 years and then kidnapped and held in a soundproof storage container. Um additional books observed were how to find out anything from extreme google searches to scouting government documents a guide to uncovering anything about everyone.

So this guy is like seriously fucked up. This is so scary. It's so scary to think that somebody like that is just out there. Yeah and what's really scary I saw some like stuff on obviously it was like kind of looking for stuff and it appears that like he might have been married. Um weird. I know. So like what's going on there? It's sort of strange and I think we're going to have more to talk about. Unfortunately I don't think his uh he's just going to fade into obscurity this man. No and I hope you know think god like it's so hard for women to get police to take stalking charges seriously and if she does and he is responsible like if she's able to move forward with this which she did I mean a search warrant happened like she's a hero because like it's so hard to get cops to care about this stuff. Oh my god it's so fucking scary.

I know insane so we will be keeping an eye on it and report back if there are any movements. We sure well do you want to go somewhere lighter? Yeah okay I went on kind of a very weird rabbit hole recently a very strange one you would never guess where it's going but it all started because of the graham cracker. Now you know what a graham cracker is obviously it's the foundation of a s'more yeah it's what we know and love I feel like I eat them all the time as kids such like a kid thing to do um but like when you think of graham crackers you think of like the good time. Hold some fun hold some fun sweets being a kid having a tasty treat but it didn't start out that way at all actually the founder of the graham cracker would be very very pissed off where the graham cracker has gone so do you want to know about the founder of the graham cracker tell me everything. Okay so the guy

who invented the graham cracker his name is Sylvester Graham obviously all men have to name things after themselves so he was actually a Presbyterian minister from the 1800s now he was one of those guys that uh I mean let me know what you think of him so his whole thing he thought that everything bad that happened in the world all the crime the poverty the disease all of that come came from impure living and impure living came from masturbation so basically if you masturbate all bad things will happen those are directly correlated according to the sky and his whole solution for not having any sort of impure living was you needed to cut every tasty food out of your life my living hell right yeah so bad so he believed that what he called stimulating foods which were meat alcohol coffee tea spices rich sauces and sugary foods made people sexually excited and

being sexually excited was a big big no no we wanted to be celibate we wanted to have no fun whatsoever and he was particularly particularly horrified about masturbation which him and a lot of other people at the time really thought that could cause serious injury or even insanity in people so he was like we can't be masturbating we can't be fucking okay so where is his going his solution was essentially making everybody's lives as bland as possible so they'll stop being so fucking horny like what a guy listen honestly we're in the 1800s life is rough you're sleeping on straw or directly on wood your animals are keeping you warm in the winter your farm animals you don't want people to eat anything that tastes good either also food doesn't taste good as a baseline back in the day like we're you're trying everything you can to try to make something edible it's probably all diseased anyways but this guy Graham he wants to cut everything out so he promoted no sauces no

sauces no probably no salt no sugar no tasty anything so he promoted what became known as the Graham diet it was a vegetarian whole grains fresh fruits and vegetables lots of water I mean that sounds okay but no seasoning no alcohol no caffeine generally no exciting food so this is where he developed the Graham cracker he hated he also had a big like bone to pick with the refined white flower industry so we're starting to make white flower he hated it he thought it was the work of the devil so instead he loved ground whole wheat flour or what he called gram flour and he made his followers this extremely plain unsweetened cracker biscuit from it and that's basically all they ate and that was the beginning of the Graham cracker now the Graham cracker and this Graham guy were so influential in the area because I think it was during the time where it was like you know everybody was just like still scared of everything and they're trying to like it's not like the witch trials but they're trying to like place blame on bad things happening in life so he got

like this big following and kind of this little cult of people and all they would do is like sit around and eat his shitty shitty unsweetened gram biscuits and that's essentially how the Graham cracker started he was like an OG eating disorder yes he pusher yes no he absolutely he absolutely was and what I think is the funniest thing so he also he didn't like people having mattresses soft mattresses they're too luxurious he wanted everybody to shower with cold baths he also hated cheese cheese was the worst thing that was at the top of the list and so that's basically what his whole stick was he wanted everybody to be cold uncomfortable and hungry and eating shitty food so basically they wouldn't masturbate so then the world could become a better place dear god isn't that insane and then I have to talk about one thing after this so that's basically

what happened but then the Graham cracker now is this like sugary processed snack for kids so good I was gonna say like they're not the most flavorful but I don't remember them being bad no they're good I mean they're dry they're a little dry which is why you have to put them with the marshmallow and chocolate and like roast it up in a nice fire but he would be rolling in his grave so also who would be rolling in their grave is you know Kellogg's the serial brand mr. Kellogg what mr. Kellogg so mr. Kellogg mr. Kellogg was born in 1852 he was a little bit after Graham but he really liked Sylvester Graham he was like this man is my hero I also want really bland foods because you know what I'm also scared of masturbation causing everything bad to happen in the world so he had his own thing and he ran did you know what a sanatorium is is it for insane people no so sanatoriums were basically like a wellness resort back in the day

for wealthy people but like in the 1800s so you know it was obviously a lot different than today's probably still grow up it's probably disgusting but they did like all these kind of you know like alternative therapies like water therapy air therapy people would stay for weeks and then they'd get these like specific diets and exercise and you know hydropheir all this kind of shit so he ran the battle Creek sanatorium that was like his thing because he wanted people to be healthy and he also obviously thought that sex was bad he was celibate he got married never consummated the marriage adopted kids and his whole thing too with Graham he was basically a grim copycat that was like the best way to push my agenda is to make people eat bland foods so he was inspired by him and then him and his brother ended up making these little tasteless cracker type things because they wanted to feed them to their sanatorium patients because that would equal less sex and it would equal

less bad things happening in the world and that was like kind of his thing his brother was like you know it would make this really good if we like put a little sugar on it and he was like no no the sugar is bad so his brother will Kellogg he ended up being like you know what I'm going to go put sugar on my little crackers and I'm going to sell them as a cereal and that is how frosted miniweets was started is it in the weeks or flakes oh sorry corn flakes that's how corn flakes was started back in the day because it was like let's put some sugar on your shitty ass crackers and let's feed them to people and start having sex so that's kind of how two of your favorite snacks started back in the day and I thought that was so funny because it was men that were scared of masturbating I bet you they were closeted and that's the reason why they wanted everyone to suffer along with them because they couldn't do what they wanted to do so they're like no one's going to have any fun sex around here no if I can't no one can and we're eating a bunch of sand

basically so it's so funny like those kind of stories of things that are just such commonplace things in our lives now you know they all and with the sanitarium thing have you ever heard of the theory where it's like everything ties back to tuberculosis no oh it's I think John Green the author like did a big thing on tiktok about it but it was like anything that you can think of like name anything and it all ties back to tuberculosis well this also the corn flakes ties back to tuberculosis because a lot of tuberculosis patients they were trying to treat their with the corn flakes so there's a little weird history lesson for the way I love that is not so bizarre it just makes me mad that Graham and Kellogg knew each other I don't know why it just does they didn't they knew it was just a fan of Graham he was just like yeah he was just big big fan big fan of his misery perpetuating isn't that so bizarre yeah it's fascinating I love it do we have time for anything else or is this just the end of the road here at the end but I think

that's a perfect tone for us to end on we needed to lift you up there isn't dark shit going on this week and you know now you have a new wrinkle in your brain and a new party a party trick yeah party fast and some smores it is like it's time to start roasting smores yes sure bring that fact to the campfire people that's right all right well until next week keep those tinfoil hats on and uh we'll see you next week bye bye bye you you're listening to this podcast so I know you've got a curious mind here's a helpful fact you may not know yet drivers who switch and save with progressive save over $900 on average pop
