About this episode
Does the world feel a little too loud today? When we are overwhelmed by the opinions of others, the news, or a chaotic environment, we often feel "top-heavy"—as if we are a leaf being blown by every passing wind. This 10-minute guided grounding session is designed to help you drop your energy back into your center.Using the Weighted Center Technique, we focus on the physical base of your body to invite a sense of deep, unshakeable stability. You aren't trying to stop the wind; you are simply becoming too heavy for the wind to move.☕ Enjoying our meditations? Daily Meditation — Deep Grounding: Guided Meditation to Stop Feeling Swept Away. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Take a moment to truly land. If you've been rushing, or if your mind has been pulled in a dozen directions, imagine those invisible threads are now being cut. You are falling back into your own space. You are falling back into your own skin. Close your eyes.
Feel the exact points where your body meets the chair or the floor. Just think about the contact. Actually feel the pressure. The resistance. The earth is pushing back up to meet you, steady and certain. You aren't floating.
You are held. Now let your awareness travel down. Move it away from the chatter of your thoughts. Past the tightness in your chest. And let it settle at the very base of your spine. Imagine there is a heavy dark anchor resting there.
Feel its weight. It is made of ancient stone, cool, dance, and immovable. When you drop your awareness from your racing thoughts, down into the weight of your hips. You are choosing the stability of the mountain over the flicker of the candle. You are becoming too heavy to be swept away.
Feel the deep, solid comfort of that weight, sinking into the ground beneath you. With every exhale, imagine that anchor sinking an inch deeper. Every word spoken to you today. Every headline, every demand. Watch them blow past you like a light breeze.
They might move the air around you, but they cannot move you. You are anchored in your own center. You are the deep charcoal of the earth. You are the weathered iron that does not bend. In this stillness, you are reclaiming your sovereignty.
You are no longer reacting. You are simply existing, heavy and whole. Feel the power in your own stillness. There is nothing to defend here. You are simply too solid to be disturbed.
We will now enter two minutes of deep, weighted silence. Your only task is to keep your awareness at the base of your spine. If a thought tries to pull you back up into your head, gently drop back down into the anchor. Stay heavy, stay here. You are the anchor. You are unshakable. Stay in the center.
Stay in the center. Stay in the center. Stay in the center. Stay in the center. Stay in the center. Stay in the center. Stay in the center.
Before you open your eyes, feel the strength in your physical frame. You are no longer the leaf in the wind. You are the stone that the wind moves around. As you move back into your day, carry this sense of weight with you.
When things get loud or when someone asks for your energy, remember the anchor at your base. You can be present without being moved. You can be kind without being swept away. Take a final grounding breath. And as you exhale, feel your connection to the floor one last time. When you are ready, gently open your eyes and move forward with the quiet power of a mountain.
And as you exhale, feel your connection to the floor one last time. And as you exhale, feel your connection to the floor one last time. And as you exhale, feel your connection to the floor one last time.
