It's time for a DM dilemma. So if you ever have anything in your life where you could use some outside advice on sliding door DMs on Instagram, ADAM, N-A-L-L-I-S-O-N, what's your advice for unrequited crush? Christy. She writes, Help me please. I am an older gay woman who fell in love with a straight woman. How do I get over her? She reached out to me back in March on social media after we found out we grew up in the same city and have mutual friends. As our conversations continued, I was feeling like she possibly was having feelings for me as I knew I was falling in love with her. But nothing verbal was said about the feelings. Then she just cut me off for no reason, so I think she was scared she might be falling for me. We've known each other since March, but have never hung out. And I'm always the one to reach out to her. She's an amazing woman and I just don't know how to let her go. My only advice could be what I do whenever I have an unrequited crush, which is say nothing about it and absolutely try to just push your
Felix down as as hard as you can until you develop a new crush. So that sounds it doesn't sound ideal to me because I have had a lot of unrequited. Most of my crushes have been unrequited in my lifetime. And the strategy that I use because it was literally like I would develop a crush realize they didn't have feelings for me would have to get over that crush get a new crush realize they didn't have feelings for me. And so like the cycle was always going on and the way that I would be able to get over the crush is so fast. So I could move on to the next person is you have to make yourself get the IK. You have to study their behavior, their patterns, their looks and find the smallest details that it's like, Oh, I don't like that. IK. And so yeah, like I would obsessively and then it kind of trains your brain to be negative about this person. And it works. It works like a charm within like a couple of days. I would not have a crush anymore. I'd be able to develop a new crush within like a month or something.
And the cycle would just continue. But yeah, that's what's worked for me. Chrissy is you have to find a way to give yourself the IK. Doing a DM dilemma this morning, unrequited Christ, cross Christy has an issue. She's got a crush on a straight woman who obviously doesn't have a crush back. What should she do? 6 0 1 9 9 5 from 101 7 is our phone number. If you've got any advice, Diane says facts. The IK factor is real. Find the IK factor. That's what Alison said. Yeah, you got to study them to find any detail that it's like, Oh, that gives me the IK. Oh, they say this. That gives me the IK. There are no, there are no points in a weird direction. Like literally anything. What has been something that you have manufactured IK wise to get over a guy? Their hair is too curly. Like literally it adds to the most minute details. One guy was because his forearms were weird. Oh, that's hilarious.
I got the IK now. Is he texted us and said it could be very hard to get over someone you feel a connection to. But something that helps me is to remember that I'm not the only one on the dynamic. Sometimes letting go is the only thing to do if getting past the feelings is too difficult. You can care about someone without having access to them in a romantic dynamic. Interesting. Tina has a bit of a mantra for Christie. She says, I want to be with someone who wants to be with me. Don't live in a fantasy or in the past. If they don't want to be with you right now, they are not the one. They are nothing special. They're not meant for you and they're not worth it. Period. I choose myself over someone who doesn't want me. Forget about them. Mallory says, get under something. I'm talking about a barbell. Sure. Good morning. 6-0-1-9-5-1-1-7. Hey, who's this? It's time traveling, Tony. Time traveling, Tommy. What is your advice, Tommy?
I wanted to let Christie know immediately that in the future she's going to be a fantastic person. She's going to have global greatness. If she doesn't take this seriously right now, she's going to ruin her future and the future for a lot of people. What does she need to take seriously? Getting over this crush or keep pursuing the unrequited crush? No, no, this actually wasn't a ghost. This was the eternal police. What they've done is they've come back in time to prevent her from becoming a terrible person. Okay? My wormhole's closing, you got that? All right. The wormhole must be closing on time, traveler, Tommy. I'm sorry, we lost him there. Dang. We don't know how that helps Christie. Hey, no idea. I wish his wormhole wouldn't have closed before I could ask him a lot of numbers.
