Welcome back to another episode of the Draft Capital podcast. My broadcast partner Steve Latizia, I'm TJ Wingard and today folks, we are jumping back in, Demock Draft Fund. Today really, it's kind of like an NFL preseason. We're getting set for week one of the NFL season and we have just a little bit of college tape to maybe change some of the analysis here for maybe not too much. But nevertheless, another updated mock we're going to be doing these once a week. So we're going to be scoring a lot of different possibilities, team to player fit combinations and then of course over the course of the season where have people who rise, other guys

who fall down the board. So week by week this may not feel super different, but like over the course of a month, I promise you, you will feel a difference. I've rambled on long enough almost a minute of me rambling. Steve, welcome back to the show man. How are you doing? Yeah, good, good, good. I'm excited to do, who doesn't love a mock draft, honestly? I mean, so excited to do another one. We're going to try to do, we're not going to purposely do things differently, but we're going to try to kind of make this a little feel a little bit different from our last one. So I'm excited to get into and see all the different possibilities. And I mean, it's just like teams, right? Like teams you hear about them running a thousand different scenarios and then gaming through this and getting, that's really all this exercise is. We're just doing it so far in advance that we have even more leeway to be like, oh, we're going to talk about this guy and then like a nine months might be like, that dude's a UDFA like the mock draft this time last year had Isaiah world as a version on pick and like literally UDFA. So like we could have some fun with it. But also, you know, I'm terrible about doing this. If you guys enjoyed today's video, hit that like button. If you're new right here, want more draft content, please hit subscribe. I always say that at the end of the video and I always feel to mention it before then.

But let's go ahead. Let's waste no time. Let's jump into things. We're using stick to the model again for our mock draft sim. I pick number one overall last time round. So Steve, I will give you the honors to lead us off this time round. Sure. So I literally just said we're going to try to do things a little bit differently, but with the first of our pick, however, that being said, I'm going to do the exact same thing we did last time. I think I'm going to go archmaning. I mean, the NFL isn't going to let a manning drop past them like it's happening. We'll just fill that in. I mean, Dante Smith, Dante Moore still has a chance, you know, this year, but at this point in time, it's archmaning. I think I saw a mishae put out his court like rankings and he had like arch QV4 or something like that. I mean, like spicy. Just sometimes I think he's a little bit of a take machine, but hey, you played at U of R from Richmond, Virginia. I can only slander him so much. But yeah, I thought that was interesting, but he is Dante ahead of him. So like, who knows? Like over the course of the next nine months, maybe we will feel he's the more polished prospect. The way I look at it, if Orch is last five games of last season or any indication of what

we're going to see this year, he's the number one overall big. That's the foot you want to end last season on. And I think that that roster has only gotten better. So I'm expecting good things. That being said, last time we went Jeremiah Smith here too, just to change it up a little bit. And also like, it's still well within the realm of possibility that, you know, the Miami Dolphins might finish the season and be like, Hey, Kevin Coleman and Chris Bell. We got a couple guys here. And maybe they decide, Hey, you know what? We can get a veteran guy in that room and compliment those two guys way better. And then we're going to go quarterback here too. So yeah, we did Jeremiah last time and like who knows when we showcase our big boards, he's going to be top three minimum for the both of us and consensus wise. He's going to be at least top three in almost every big board you see. He's not a bad pick here. I could just see a world where, Hey, you know what? We got Malik Willis for, you know, half a year basically of guarantee money left. But what a after that, you know, and maybe there's enough pieces that kind of come together for Miami to say, Hey, we feel good about taking Dante more. We don't have to force them on the field either because we still have Malik Willis. Receiver room kind of made some progress. You have another offseason to make some more moves.

I can totally see world where they end up going quarterbacks one and two in this 2027 draft. And ultimately, it's going to be it's going to see how the season plays out from Miami because really their draft position might ultimately make their decision for them. But here with Smith on the board with Dante more want to do something a little different and try to get the future franchise quarterback in Miami. Sure. And honestly, if the dolphins are picking two, it probably means Malik Willis didn't have to work out. So they might be looking for quarterback anyway. So yeah, I think that makes sense. So now this gets very interesting for the Jets because the Jets are scrambling. At this point in time because they need a quarterback. I mean, they obviously need a quarterback. I think it's too, or I mean, we could I could force a quarterback here, go CJ car or, you know, someone like that. But I just think that's, yeah, I almost wonder if you just do that at 13 or yeah, at that point just kind of yeah, pick one of the, you know, three quarterbacks that falls at 13. So I think I am going to go a different direction and it's, do they just go Jarry? My Smith, I mean, they they got Garrett Wilson and they drafted Omar Cooper last year.

I want those guys are an X. So like, they got a room for them, you know, yeah. So draft Jarry? My crew, I drive my Smith. Yeah, I think that's the only other option I could see is maybe a lot or more. Yeah, those would be the two. Those would be the two use a quarterback. But and that's going to be most likely my one, two when it's all said and done. So, but I'll go, I'll go Jeremiah's, I'll go Jeremiah's Smith. I think he's the number one. They're just going to take the best player available there. They're probably going to try and trade out or trade up at that point. But we're not going to get that right now. Yeah, it wouldn't be, it's kind of rare that that would happen. But that would be like the Falcons trading up for Julio that year where it's like, they paid almost quarterback asking price because Julio was who he was and get it six is insane. I almost wonder if that would be the opportunity here for the Jets where it's like, dude, we're getting like quarterback offers for a receiver. This is insane. And now that this is like the end all be all and this is like what evaluations all about. But just think about the Jersey sales of Jeremiah Smith versus Leonard Moore. And that's not fair. Leonard Moore literally is the Jeremiah Smith on the other side of the wall.

Like they are both equally also prospects in my eyes. Yeah, but like which one's going to have Jersey's flying off the shelves? The receiver over the corner. Any day of the week. Yeah, that being said, all right. Let me get to the Cleveland Browns. It's another team where like, yeah, quarterback would be nice. And to be honest, man, I might have to force it because I just don't know what the long-term plan is there. Now, this is another one of these teams kind of like the Jets, where we can kind of cheat the system. They pick again. Oh, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. They're doing it again. 32. So you know what? I think I'm going to lean into that and just say, hey, we'll get a guy at 32. So then this chronic becomes Colin Simmons, Dylan Stewart or Leonard Moore. And I mean, they have a good secondary. I'm pulling up their death chart now. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome. You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome, that's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block, or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.

Varys by state turns at dkng.co-slashoffer. But that being said, like, let her and more, I think it's just like a different level of a dude there. Also, it tends to award a campaign forever. Or do you go, I mean, like, I like Jared Versa-Lod, but like Isaiah McGuire, Derek Barnett, you know, Sam Williams, do you want to just go get someone with? Yeah, I think that's the direction I'd go. He hasn't played yet this season, so I'm going to just pass on Dylan Stewart and we'll, like, say the thing we did last-mock, we'll penalize him a little bit here. But how in Simmons plus Jared Versa, I mean, that is a good comment. I'm going to edge-chan him to feed families. This team is going to continue to win games 12-10, just based off that edge-hand. Yeah, that's probably what I would have done as well. I mean, that just gives them such a good... I mean, the other guys you mentioned, like, I like Isaiah McGuire. I think he's a good player, but he doesn't prevent you from drafting concerts. And I will say perfect role, Dylan Stewart looks like Dylan Stewart,

and like, he's the pick here because like his speed, twitch, band on the other side of like the ultimate power rusher. Right. I mean, you could have a whole lot of fun and just tee off on whichever tackle struggles with power with Versa, whichever one struggles with bed. And those types of edge-rushers, guess what? You're getting a healthy load of Dylan Stewart this week, so... Yeah. ...that would be the ideal pairing to me. For sure. All right, so the Raiders, so obviously they got Fernando Mendoza, so they got the quarterback of the future. So I want mostly... I'm just thinking, you know, right off the bat that I want to go some sort of offense, rather, yeah, it's a wide receiver to pair with them. I'm also thinking offensive lineman. I really like Trevor Goosby to the Raiders. I mean, they got Colton Miller on the left side, so he's, you know, he's going to be there, but they got down our DJ glaze on the right side. I mean, that's like, they really need an upgrade there. And, you know, got Tom Brady in there. He knows the importance of good offensive lineman. You know, Tom Brady his entire career, at least his Patriot career to start, never really had a top-wide receiver, but he always had a really good offensive lineman. It made it work. Clint Kubiap wants to run the ball.

So I'm leaving kind of Goosby here for him. Over Coleman. Yeah, let's go with that. Let's go, let's go Goosby. He's going to be a right tackle. If Colton Miller, you know, he's getting up there in age a little bit. If he can potentially set over back to the left side of, you know, down the road, but go with the franchise tackle. Yeah, and again, this isn't normally played into decisions, but I do wonder if this ever does populate into decision-makers minds. But like, I'm not going to say Ashen Gensie's a buster, anything like, I think you'd be grateful, Blah Blah, I'm not really worried about that. But like, after Year One, it kind of did look like, this is a team that probably could have used our mod, Menboo. As nice as JT was, Menboo maybe probably should have been the pick there. So I wonder if that decision kind of lives in the back of decision-makers minds, where you're like, we probably should have taken Taggle there. And like, now we have the chance to take a really good one who plays on both sides of the line. Yeah, it's going to help out your last two first strong picks. Yeah. So it just kind of, it makes your whole off. It's better. Imagine, you know, Ashen Genti and Mike Washington behind a greater, a road grader like Trevor's Goosby.

I could do some work. Yeah, 100%. And then ideally, if he's playing like right tackle in this situation, replaces Glaze, I was a huge Jackson Powers Johnson guy coming out of Oregon of a big fan of him in and of itself. Those two on the right side. Yeah, that's fun. That's fun. All right, Tennessee Titans. This would have been a good Goosby team. Yeah. I got questions on really both their, both their tackle spots left hand right. Yeah. I might go Jordan Seaton here. I could, I mean, they can move on from Dan Moore after the end of the season. And that feels really tempting. I do think Corner is definitely in play here. But I wonder if the combination of Olante Taylor, Cordell Flot, and then like, they'll figure out the Nickel Spot as the year goes on. Yeah, I think I'm going to go Jordan Seaton. We also had him fall pretty hard in our last mock. And I don't know if that was necessarily fair for us to do. So I'm going to try and see me the pick here at six. And you also got to think this is a team that drafted a receiver this last year for their number one overall pick a quarterback. Now they go make that investment at left tackle. This is like how you continue to invest on top of your investment

at number one overall with Camboard. So I kind of like been going all in on their, on their offense. Yeah, we've seen going. So it's always like gotten more out of his defenses than like their punching weight. So I kind of like beef it up the offense here. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, we have seen going 15 to the Jaguars last time. So yeah, so, okay. So now the Falcon's, see where we got. Well, a lot of words of the board, Dylan Stewart, Cam Coleman, all those guys, I think you, like this picks seven, eight, nine. It's basically these teams are just waiting to see whichever one of these like top talents fall to them. So I feel like, you know, I don't want to get too cute. I'm probably going to draft one of those three guys. Just because I think there probably is a drop off after those three guys are just looking at this list. So let's lay, see, Lenovo, who do they got corner? They got, well, they got an age of 12, like you's, that's right, Avian, to her, as well. CJ Henderson, my cues, Billy Bowman and the nickel. That's not a bad actually defensive backfield. Yeah, you mean how is it Cam Coleman?

Cause I mean, how long has it been like Drake London and no one else? Yeah. Oh God. Yeah, Johan Dodson, Zacchaeus. Yeah, I'm like I'm cold. How pit's more or less plays? Oh, how pit's but but does that get? I mean, not that Cam Coleman is just like a possession or see for, he's not at all, but he's six four Drake London's big Kyle Pits is big. Do they want, would they rather go with maybe someone just, but or is Cam Coleman just too, too good to, to really, am I overthinking it that way? You know, the way I've been looking at it, I think we'll see plenty of vertical field stretching ability from him this year. Yeah. They have been using London both as their ex and their power slot. I think this would just be like clear line of demarcation. Drake London's our power slot of the future. Coleman's our ex. Yeah, let's go with it now. Yeah, yeah, let's go with that. I like it. Oh, dude, that would be, dude, and to see Cam Coleman playing in a dome for all his own games. They don't get made yet. All right, New Orleans Saints. I don't think I'm going to overthink this one. I'm kind of digging where their team building is going.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd say this in the year of our Lord 2026, but hats off to Mickey Loomis. I did not think he would turn that cap situation around while also building a pretty interesting young nucleus. I thought if they turned the cap around, it would be like, yeah, okay, they're tankin'. Like they are fully committing to archmaning, trying to be the next man in Great and New Orleans. This is a bad roster, but it's really not. I don't think it's great, but it's got it's bright spots. And I'm looking at corner here, going to Kinstry. This is a big year for him. This is kind of like the proven year for him. And then Quincy Rally always like more as a nickel anyways. And then safety, you're probably looking at my comp for Jonas Sanker was just in Reed. And I believe Reed's in the last year of his contract, maybe I'm slightly off, but Reed plus Blackman is your safeties, move Riley into the nickel. I'm going to go Leonard Moore here. And I'm going to feel pretty good about it. They've also figured out that pass rush, specifically with like Chase Young turning into a pretty solid player for them, not all world, but like solid. I'm going to go Leonard Moore here, him, Kool-Aid McKinsey, Quincy Rally. I like that corner back trio. Yeah, and that's just best player available.

He fell in the middle of that. Don't overthink it. Which is like Mickey Loomis, the amount of time he's like reached on that like a trait-y edge ruster, the Marcus Davenport to the world. Let's get back to basics here. Let's just go best player available. Absolutely. And I was literally while you were kind of like thinking about that, I was like looking at the Panthers that I was like, I will take either Moore or Stewart, whichever one he doesn't go with. So yeah, give me Stewart. They got Jalen Phillips. But Patrick Jones across from Travis Gibson, Prince Lee, Unmont, Miellen, as well. Was a third-round pick last year, but I think Stewart's just too good to pass up there. Also like hometown kid, that points out Thierryline at a Northern Ireland close enough. That would be another one of these like Jersey's flying off the top of the deal. And then like Jalen Phillips is really struggled to stay healthy throughout his career. They had a lot of money, but I don't know. That's an investment to me that came with some breakage built in. And then Prince Lee, Unmont, Miellen's more of a DPR type. So I like that all enough for that room. Tampa Bay Buckinge years. Now this is a tricky team to draft for.

I think it's a little early to go into your office of line. The Baker question looms, but I think they'll bring him back. I think we have to at this point have to assume Baker will be a Buckingeer. Later on, we can maybe change that, but it's hard to, you know, assume that in September. Totally agree. And I'm looking at their corner room. I like Parish. I can't say Scott's a nickel, Ben Morrison, Zyne McCollum. That's where it's tough. Like in a lot of ways, I kind of want to go Ashen Hampton here. He screams like Todd Bullseye, big physical power corner. I don't know if they're ready to give up on Column or Ben Morrison. And then County Scott's a nickel only. So you kind of like have to play Parish on the outside. This is kind of rocking a hard place. Could hear me out. Hear me out on this one. Cause I'm really high on this guy because I watched more of him this week. If this be too early for like a trade-as green, they could maybe get a, I'm not looking at the demo. I need to add in that extension. Let me see what kind of guarantees are in there.

Cause that's the, that's the thing. It's like as much as you'll see a guy gets a contract. Look at the guarantees. That will tell you everything about this team's intentions of keeping him around on 20 million guarantees. So it's kind of like two years. But that being said, like, I don't see trade-as green as like an awesome inline blocker or anything like that. So it might be good to have someone like that at least for a year to kind of get you through. You know what? Let's have some fun. I think honestly, I haven't, I've only watched two games of trade-as green. I'm catching up on tie-dense now actually. I think I'm gonna have Jamari Johnson as my top tie-dent. Okay. But consensus is on trade-as green. It's kind of interesting to see stick the model on Jamari ahead of trade-as. Cause I feel like trade-as is kind of lap Jamari at this point when it comes to consensus view. And like six, seven looks like a hoops player when you watch him like he is, and honestly because of that, he kind of rounds out the red zone attack for that team really well. Iqbukah will create separation. McMillan's big. Ted Hersch will see. But like, I think trade-as green would like day one be like their best red zone threat. Yeah. Well, like that tie-dense in this draft

for kind of like shiny new toy syndrome with trade-as green. Like Jamari Johnson's kind of been on the radar for like two years now. Now it's like, ooh, trade-as green, six, seven, yes, like athletic, like. And we're slowly, I mean, we'll see what happens with the buck in your street for room, but we're kind of like building the green bay packer offense in Florida with like this a couple tight ends. One that's like definitely way better than the other. And then yeah. At this point, we might have receiver one in Mickig boot like I don't want to rule that out this year, but like, it might just be a roofal tuss. And that's kind of nice to add a tie to that mix. Anyways, tangent aside. If you want to do here for the giants. That's a very good question. Let's see. Could go wide receiver. I mean, they got neighbors, obviously. Unless you think O'Dell is really going to make a comeback. Malakai Fields is a third around pick this year. I was a little bit lower on him. I think he's going to be a good like possession red zone threat, but they could probably use some extra juice there. Off is a one does the two bad. I love Elemanor and Andrew Thomas. Tackle two early for interior. DJ Raider.

I was thinking like, do we do they go with a Mari Washten replacement for big decks? Yeah, yeah, decks for Lawrence. Yeah, I could do both last time. Do we do moan? I'm curious actually. Yes, we want a moan. You can do echoes or a more washes into kind of like changing it up. Yeah. Yeah, it's not bad. Let me just look at their corners. Oh, yeah. The corners aren't bad. Could go. This could be a like a Alex. Johnny Banks, but having a training camp of his life. So I'm kind of could we turn that around, man? That was really good. Who best shape of his life training camp stories? Those are those are never gone wrong. I'll go. Yeah, I'll go on Mari Washten. I think he's going to have a big year bad cover places. Decks for Lawrence. I think that works. I think it's a piece that makes the lives that everyone else not de-line a lot easier. So I like that. It's like a team holistic set of board. Washington commanders. All right.

Be kind of fun to go running back here, but I don't want to quit on Jocobri Crossgum here just yet. It's gonna be another interesting tight end team. I think Chica Conquo will have a solid year though. So I'm kind of looking to receiver. And Terry can't play forever. Decks is definitely the definition of a rental. And Tony Williams is slot only. Did we do Becker last time? Am I repeating history here? But the commanders we went to Mari Johnson with the command. We did go to that in the last one. I think I'm going to go Charlie Becker. I think Becker's the move there. They need more speed beyond Terry. And they really need a guy who can play X. Because I think that'll free up Terry and make him a more productive player throughout the rest of his career. And then again, Williams is slot only. So I'm going to go Charlie Becker there. I like the size and the speed there for that offense. I like the fit too. That like Terry McClaren is one of the most frustrating while receivers because he's a good while receiver. But they ask him to be that vertical threat. And I kind of wish he would. They had some much to be Charlie Becker to be that vertical threat.

So he can do just so much more. So I think that that kind of almost is an upgraded two spots. I totally agree. I think if you made Team Act more of like an intermediate like assassin, I think that could be huge for prolonging his career. So like for what it's where Charlie Becker was like 14 of 17 on contested catch targets. And just about nobody throws a better deep on the league. Then Jay, I mean, there are guys who throw. Yeah, this is pretty deep all as Jane, but like, that guy can put it in a basket. Especially if they use them slot fades. Like Jane's slot fade is on worldly. So yeah, or other worldly. So like, yeah, that combo with Becker, I like that. I like that a lot. Yeah. All right, the chance. So we gave them Jeremiah Smith, right? All right. All right. So now this is probably when they would just go back and go quarterback. You haven't taken another one. So I'll go see Jay Carr to them. That's my QB three. So they got to take a quarterback with one of those picks. Jim Fierrick off the board to the New York Jets. I love it. I love it. Pittsburgh Steelers. I mean, this is a team that needs a quarterback like no other. We did that last time with Gary Mensa,

fine memory holds. And I mean, ultimately, like we also recorded that right after a two hours three touchdown preseason debut and everyone in Steelers, you know, a sphere was on that hopeium. But I just, I think the rest of the preseason showed the limitations that comes with his game at this point. So I don't know. There's a few different ways we get to tack this. I do wonder if corner is still something they would evaluate and look at. KJ Bolden to be honest is interesting. I'm kind of thinking like long term, what's that safety room looking like? Make sure I'm not forgetting anybody. Yeah, right now, to come on, Briskers, a one year deal and also battles with ton of concussions. Ration on Jenkins and then Robert Spears Jennings was a day three pick. So you know what? I'm gonna add some playmaking building to the back end of this defense. Yes, this team needs a quarterback. I totally understand by not going QB here round one. We're basically throwing our hands up and broaders again. Like I know, I totally understand. Let's just say this team's handled it during free agency after the season. What are the case may be? I'm gonna go take Johnson here.

They've got to get younger. They got to get more athletic and get some playmakers back on the back end of that defense. Also, back to back, no other players off the board. You love to see it. I mean, that might be a Baker situation with the Steelers. Right, yeah, great shout. I'm glad you like something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good one. They could, yeah. I mean, it's hard, all these, like the jets, the Steelers and the Vikings all in a row here, like are you really gonna just sit and wait to see if a quarterback drops to you or are you going to be really aggressive either, whether it's Baker or another veteran quarterback? I'm worried. It's a one-kide deal with him in Minnesota. You know, like, yeah, exactly. I'm just gonna move in around next all season for sure. Yeah. So with that being said, this could easily be a quarterback here. I mean, like, depending on this year, well, let's say they finished about fifth middle of the pack. Like, I don't think Kevin O'Connor's gonna get fired, but I think he's a great coach, but he might start getting on the hot seat. He might be like, see, picking a quarterback here is a way to kind of buy him more time. So that's definitely on the, but let me just take a look at what else they might potentially need. We're giving into the point where they could potentially

take an interior office alignment, but they don't really need one. Look at the defense. Delt's turn. Can use maybe, maybe use a defensive lineman, interior defensive lineman. Could maybe use a, the corners are okay. This is a tough one. What's their safety room looking like? They got Theo Jackson and Josh Mattelis. I think we went with a safety with them last time, honestly. Oh no, we went best to make her. But very much could be. But safety, I think, I think they definitely, Josh Mattelis is a fine player. You know, Theo Jackson's, I think kind of just like a guy. So we can get, we can go, so my, well, you know, you take Johnson, literally just run off the board. And then my two was Jolani McDonald, but here in the honest, but we'll give him bold home, even though I think that's just more realistic for how it's gonna play out. I will say his athleticism and then like, he's a fearless tackler.

Like, there's a lot of him and specifically his like again, range over the back pedal, super explosive there. That fits for us to a tee. So like he does kind of screen Brian Forrest. Also, back to my safes off the board. Let's see that. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome. You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome, that's new. Varys by state turns at dkng.co slash offer. Honestly, with how many mocks I did last year with them going grace and a hulthin. I feel bad for the jacks fans watching if I were to just drop another OU IDL on them. That being said, like, I'm not an average guy. It's, I mean, it's fine when they got him. It's worth a stab at it, I guess. But I think Rooka Roe Roe honestly will probably be

the more productive of those two. And also wants to work E1s a third year guy. So it's not really fair or fourth year guy, whatever. Eric Armstrong's dead. Can he keep playing? Devon Hamilton to me is just like, he's, ironically, not he's a jack. He's just a guy. So you know what, I'm gonna go with my DT1. I'm gonna go on my mode. I think David Stone would be fun, but like I think Moten comes with a little bit of alignment versatility. And I'm just gonna lean to that and say, hey, whether it's long term Eric Armstrong instead of replacement immediate Devon Hamilton up great. Whatever the case may be, you can ask him on about to do it. So I like boosting up that D line there in Jacksonville. Yeah, absolutely. I think, I think, well, we both had Moten won obviously in DTACCLE, but he's just gonna appeal to more teams than David Stone will. So he's probably gonna end up going higher. All right, so the chats are back on the clock. So they went share my space at three and then CJ Carr at 13, I believe there was. So now, the office is pretty set. I feel like this has to be a defensive player at this point after drafting a quarterback and a wide receiver. So who do they need at the defensive side of the ball? Man, the jets are sneaky, decently good. Brent Stevens and is very Thomas. Yeah, I think it's probably a little too early to get linebacker as much as like that. Probably the area I would point to just. Right, Damier Davis. I'm sorry. Jamie and Sherwood's fine. They could go, I mean, they do, I mean, they drafted David Bailey high obviously last year, but they could, I mean, they have Joseph aside across from him. That's, I don't think that's preventing you from driving.

Who are the, who's the top like Ed R Usher on the board? At this point. I don't know, I think that only the top two have gone. Like, tail. You know, if like, if Eamon Wilson would be the guy, you, but like, I don't know, that is, that's pretty light against the run with him. Right. So I'm like, yeah, Mateo, maybe just because high floor. Yeah, I think it's a little early. Every point. Yeah, it's a little early for him. Yeah, I think I like him. I like the player, but 17 year and say he takes a step forward. Yeah. Yeah, I think if I did go with one, I'd go Pierre, honestly, honest. You know what? You go corner like, Nishon Wright, one year deal. I think we did corner line. Would they, would they be a David Stone team? Now, I don't think so. Jawan Briggs was pretty good last year. Jawan Briggs was a great player. I love the love drive. Jawan Briggs is my guy. He was my sleeper, like a few years ago, and he was drafted. So I'm pumped that he's a turner and making a name for himself. Yeah. And then Darrell Jackson Jr., they just drafted. So like, maybe I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't know if it's a five priority per se.

Yeah. What about Ella's rub? I mean, they could go corner. Yeah, that's kind of where I'm like, Brandon Stevens. This is a make a break year for his RIA. So we'll find out. Nationwide isn't bad. He's either going to hit the market and get $15 plus million a year, because he gets another six picks this season, or he's going to be signing like a one year, $5 million deal next year for someone else, because he doesn't have the ball production this time around. Yeah, we'll go, Ella's Robinson. I think that fits the need and also just kind of where he should go in this draft. Also, I would say comfortably their fastest corner day one of stepping on the roster. So good infusion of speed to the back end of that defense. All right, Chicago Bears. All right. Max, don't mess it up. Don't mess it up. No, I feel all of a sudden. I'm sorry to climb up here. All right, automatically I'm kind of looking D line here. We did well echoes last week, right? Yep. Okay. I'm going to try not to repeat myself too much, because that Mateo is like such an easy one. I even think, didn't we say in the edge episode, we were like, Mateo kind of gives me shades of Montess sweat. Yeah.

I think that about, not to be like 98% tall, 40% and 93% tall, 3% cone, all that sort of stuff. Yeah. I do wonder if Austin Booker figures it out this year or like continues to make some good progress. I was never a fan of the day of Odeying, but signing so you're going to be both. David Stone would be a lot of fun. With Dennis, Dennis Allen is going to love David Stone. You think so? Mm hmm. All right. I don't love David Stone, but David Dennis Allen is going to love him. And frankly, a lot of what gave great, great success in the league. I think David Stone could implement, but he also has like TNT attached with hands. So it's, yeah, I kind of like David Stone there as you're like, all right, it's time to move on from Grady Jerry type of player. So let's go. Yeah, I mean, Grady Jerry, he's going to get cut this off season, like for sure. So they're going to, and also probably dayo. So they're going to need some more just defensive line in general. And Neville Gallamor is. Yeah, we've got more just to get in line. Yeah, he's like, he's a body, you know? Yeah. All right, I was so focused on the bank on the bears pick.

I even looked at the bangles. Yeah, right again. I got the approval. You did good. You did good. Good job. All right, bangles. So. Off the line. It's not bad. I mean, well, I don't think there's going to be another left tackle or Linda Bromett Jr. could probably be upgraded, but he and he's been older, but I don't know if they're going to do that right now. I was very, very flexible Lawrence from the nail and. Not a curious peak, but even that like, I don't need to see it this year first before I'm like, Hey, he's going top 20. Oh, 100%. So who, yeah, is this the all? So I just want to see kind of. Didn't you take Johnson go already? Yes, I would ignore this brand. It's they have brown, say, Johnson in here. So they have got two versus the same guy. I was gonna say I was like, I'm gonna pick him if he's. But would you mean this pick? I was like, why do I see. Brown, like what's going on here? Yeah. Right.

And this is a tough team to pick for. Honestly, they really need a linebacker kind of, but again, like you said, I think it's too early for that. I mean, Miles Murphy could be an upgrade. Do we, they might be a Mateo team because Miles Murphy, they need an upgrade from. Shema. Boy, Maffe is, is can be good, but yeah, Shema, oh, Shema, store it, but he's, yeah, I forgot they have Shema, store it too. And then cash just right behind them and a cash. Yeah, never mind. Who's their other detackle? Like I know they just got sexy. Ducks, they got John and the Allen who I'm guessing is on a one year deal. Yeah. TJ Slayton back up nose. I mean, does this team just like make a hard fast commitment to never get beat on the ground again and go Will Eccles plus like a shot. Well, I got a shot. Like I could see just low key, the upside pass rush standpoint of like Justin Scott. Hold on. This this entire conversation is landing Robinson in racer and I won't stand for it that like no, no, no, we

just don't around here. No, no, no, no, no, big landing Rob to crowd. I don't know. They're tough. I might be. Could they go with could this be a spot where they go with a gunner to your office, fly him in? I mean, Dolden, Arizona, I know. I know it's a good. And I don't know if this is a team is a spot where they can draft luxuries, but I'm looking up the Mike a sticky contract now. Oh, and after this year, they could cut him next year and save $8 million against the cat. Is this Jamari Johnson? Yeah, it's from our Johnson for sure. That's that's the answer. I was looking at it. There's got to be something I'm missing and that is what I was missing. They already don't play Gisike a tight end. So like drafting a one who's going to be a little bit more of a move tied in. I mean, you've already got the role form. Yeah. Frankly, he plays more tight end just as like an H back than Gisike even though so like more tight end than Gisike. Um, Dallas Cowboys. All right. Uh, real quick thoughts. Uh, congratulations to Alice Cowboys on broadridge Jones. I hope that treats you well. That was a headscarf. They were going to see us.

We're going to release them right. The best thing that could have ever happened to me as a student. And the fact that it's just one round moving up, but I'll take whatever moving to the top 100 we can get next year. Um, frankly, it's just like draft move up ammunition, having like another top 100 pick, like waiting the wings. I think it might be like, Am I, if we need to move up? Yeah. All right. Dallas Dallas Dallas. So I'm not going to go off into line. I'm going to say that they're content with steel, broadrick Jones, Tyler guidance. No figured out. Um, we did ball last week. I do think running back would be a ton of fun for this team. Um, we're going to have to roster. I almost wonder if they could still draft some more edge rushers and just like really loaded up. Because Rashon Gary to me is, I don't know, man. Like last couple of years, I've tried to get excited about Rashon Gary and he keeps disappointing me. Um, I'm excited about Malachai Lawrence. Von Miller is a rental. Donovan has a rock you with probably better as a DPR, but he was, he was okay. I got to run last year. I don't want to give up on him yet. Jason, I'm barmed hybrid player. You know what? It, I think it's going to be Will Eccles for me. They, they could have caught Danny Clark and saved $20 million this year.

So, yeah, brother, I'm thinking it's, I think it's past time to be completely honest. The Dallas Cowboy move actually would be Justin Scott. So as much as I think I kind of want to go Will Eccles, I'm going to go with Eccles, but just know, like Dallas fans, I think they would probably go just in Scott here. But we'll see how the season plays out. I can see a world where Eccles is just a runstopper and maybe goes later than this. And maybe Justin Scott turns it on and lives up to five star recruit status. And maybe he's the guy here. 20 instead. Sure. Yeah. No, I like that. That's a lot of that pick. Yeah. All right. The Detroit Lions are on the clock. And they can use a corner. They can use a receiver on this. I mean, they got, I'm going to say Brown and James and Williams, obviously, I was never a big as a test to Slaw fan. I think they, I've heard some rumblings and training camp that he hasn't been really doing that good. But I don't know if I'm going to go wide receiver, but that just could be in play. But I think we did this last time, but I might just do it anyway.

Like Ash and Hampton is such a Dan Campbell cornerback and like fit. Like just and they need a corner. Like I think I'm just going to do that. Just I know we did last time, but just make so much sense. Totally. And also like the willingness to tackle. Like that's that's the screams. Detroit Lions like exactly. Philadelphia Eagles. All right. Do you remember what we did for the Eagles last time? Was it Ed's rusher? Eagles picked. Where are they in my list? I don't want to see them. They went David Stone. David Stunned. Okay. Yes. I'm a rojo. I'm in a place. Yeah. Okay. I'm cool with that. I'm going to go to a Jolani McDonald. I think this team could definitely go safety. I think in a perfect world, KJ Bolton would be the guy. Like to me, he screams, Vic Fange, quarters heavy. Perfect scheme fit. But that being said, a lot of too high coverage. And I think where I have some concerns about your little bit high, your one spot higher than McDonald than I am. So it's like negligible difference. But part of why he was three for me was just because I was like,

I don't know about the true over the top free safety, like playmaking athleticism. That being said, you play a whole lot of too high. I think he's just fine in that. The like playing in safety look. And then he's awesome playing in the box coming downhill. So and they just lost Sydney Brown this off season right. I'm not making that up. I don't believe. So I think that would be a great like box safety type. I think Vic Fange would love him as a tackler, specifically. Yeah. So yeah, their safety room right now is McCuba Neps plus Michael Carter. The second. So yeah, I think Jolani McDonald would be a huge step up in that department. Yeah. Like that. All right. 49ers. They can use maybe a receiver. They got Mike Evans and Diablo Sameral as their start as two of their starters. So definitely need an upgrade there. At least maybe if not next year, the year after that for sure, could always use a Trent Williams kind of heir apparent. I feel like that's every year. People have been not mocking office of tackle to them for for four years. Um.

He on white alpha cons also digs. Oh, uh, it both, uh, could maybe go with another edge of rush. Can I ever have too much pass rush? I don't think Mateo has gone yet, right? We haven't picked up. No, Mateo is still on the board. Still on the board. That could be in play. Um, who's the who are the offense tackles that are even available? Yeah. And you go like Serveled or King green. King green. King green might make sense because King green. I know a lot of people protected inside, but he could maybe play some tackle and like, maybe you start him at left guard and then see what if, you know, Trent Williams were tires and then you see what he can do at tackle. He could baby try that. But if not, then you just keep him a guard and you got a really good guard and we're 23. I think that makes sense. Let's go. Okay. I also think Jacarious Peak. Like if this was the off seat like the offseason, where Trent Williams finally has gone like Jacarious Peak athletic wise, I think he told me that it's Melvin Sianney, the other tackle for Texas, like if Colton, the Kivitz, if this time's done in San Francisco, like I keep an eye on it, I could see him as you like late first round status.

But no, I love. I think lock Trevor locked to. I don't know if he gets him the first round, but he just seems kind of like a 49ers offense of widening. Yeah. Yeah. So if they were to trade back from like 23 to 32, I think they have a full trigger on him. I think that's the spot in the first round they pull that trigger. All right. New England at 20. Is this going to be game Mateo too last time? I feel like it was because this time he's going to be doing one ed rusher. Patriots. Yep. That's exactly what we did. But if it makes sense, just, you know, he's played stand up. He's played hand of the dirt. He gets spot drop into the zone. Like he's just he is totally a Patriots Kyle Van Noy, but without being Kyle Van Noy. Yeah. Man, I really feel like their offense is good, man. Like, yeah, dude, and they side Corey Keiner from Arizona after they cut him, dude. I'm telling you, that's a solid RB three. I loved him out of Cincinnati. I loved him. Josh Farmer, Milton Williams, Christian Barmore.

I wonder if we could beef up that interior defense line a little bit more. But yeah, I don't know. The more I look at this edge group Elijah Ponder, Dremont Jones gave Acas and Quintava's Hutchins like, Hutchins, I think is a solid third or fourth ed rusher. Acas, I think, could develop into a starter. Jones is fine. Ponder's a question mark. But the other side of me is like that cornerback room is looking a little rough right now. Beyond Christian Gonzalez and Carl Carlton Davis. So I think I'm going to end like Davis. If my memory holds, they can cut him and save a lot of money after this season. Contract. Let's look it up. They could cut him after this season. Yeah, they'll save north of $16 million. So I can see this team honestly drives in a couple of different corners. This would have been a great ash den Hampton spot. I'm going to go with Kelly Jones. Yeah, that he definitely feels like the most like new England corner of what's available. Kelly Jones and dude, two thirds of the earth is covered by water or three quarters of the

earth is covered by water and then the other quarters covered by the wingspan. That is Kelly Jones and Christian Gonzalez in your second room. That is insane. So I love it from that standpoint. Yeah, I like that. All right, the chargers, the chargers, I'm looking at their touch right now. They need an upgraded both guard spots. So that is definitely in play. They don't even have much behind their starters. Trevor Penning and Alex Harkey as their backups like at cold strange as their starter. And some guy I've never heard of as their other starter. Yeah, I wonder if this is the team that like if Caden Green makes it past like picking up. They're like, what do we have to do to get to the spot? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, that's just like Stammer in the face. I just want to take a quick look at the rest of the rest. You're just to make sure I mean, I'm sure they can use other things, but I think I got to go with interior. So who are the interior? Maybe Sarah Veldr. Who else would be available? You could click on the. Yes, you're a bad shout because I do. Or use some spots. I think he's listed as a tackle. Normally a tag guard excuse me. Yeah. Well, yeah, I mean, that's kind of I mean, they also would just go Carter Smith and play in my guard,

which I think makes a lot of sense. I mean, because they don't really need they don't need a tackle, but but also they, you know, then you draft Carter Smith, you get a situation where Joe gets hurt again. You have a little bit of insurance there. I kind of like that. I think because Carter Smith in my mind is a slightly better chance of staying at tackle than Syriville, but I think both are probably interior. I think people I like Anthony and app too. Yeah, I think some people put him in guards too, which I found interesting. So like maybe that's Loki his long term home. I can see that. Yeah. I'll go Carter Smith just to play the left guard. Yeah, yeah, I like that. Him or Syriville, really, you could get wrong. Yeah. All right. In Texans. Um, you know what? I feel like we can't let it running back it out of the first round. Oh, it's too good of a class. Yeah, Montgomery. Let me double check. I'm pretty sure he's 29 right now. David Montgomery. Probably 29 years old turns 30 on June 7th.

Or turned. We know. No, just turned 29. Okay, we'll turn 30 next to all seasons. So you know, that's kind of the point where you start looking at running back. And you're like, the grass starts looking greener on the other side. Um, and I also don't know if Woody marks every new like give this guy a work, a full like bell cow workload. Agreed. And in part of these kind of like, dude, wouldn't it be fun if they add a key one. So you just for like the explosive vibes. But in our, or be, or my RV one was all mod hearty. But I'm going to go Jane ball here because he's so much of what like they, what they were wanting to acquire in the form of David Montgomery. Yeah. Jane ball brings that and then like another level of athleticism and just like big playability. So like he's like supercharged David Montgomery. So I don't, I don't see how they could look at him and be like, yeah, now we're good. Yeah. No, that's actually a sick one, two punch. Yeah. I mean, well, even if they still have Dave Montgomery next year, you can have Montgomery. That's a great monster. That's great. Yeah. Yeah. And then what he marks comes in on third downs and then ball takes over when

Montgomery moves on. So yeah, I like that back. All right. With Denver. They're linebacker situation. Seromy right in the face. And I think at this point in the draft at 27, you can draft one of these linebackers. So I'm thinking probably either Sammy Brown or probably Sammy Brown from Clemson. Can you look at, click on linebackers? Yeah. Sorry. Just had us some big news break about the pod. So I don't know. OK. And we'll share at the end of this. Let me share at the end. OK. Honestly, I'm Michael Chris Cole. I watch both of those, these guys usually Chris Cole, I think, has all the makings of first round linebacker. So I'll go Cole there. I like that a lot. And I like Kingston, the La Mouassa. Another one of the many of you guys that's in your 20s. That's kind of interesting. And I like Sammy Brown. But like Brown, I think I'm comfortable with like 40 to 50 range. And honestly, same thing with Velo Amouassa. And him, it's just like, I wonder what the athleticism ultimately finally finishes out as.

Cole to me, especially for like a Vance Joseph defense, like, dude, that is like a headhunter. But he also has the athletic prerequisites. And he's got the frame. Yeah, Chris Cole to me is like, there's a linebacker going around one. I'm pretty comfortable. Yeah. Sammy's going to be Chris Cole. Yeah, for sure. All right. Kingston Chiefs. Damn, I can't remember what we did last time around. I think we did Nick Marsh. We did Nick Marsh, which makes a lot of sense. We might have to run that one back. Yeah. Because yeah, they did get Diego Pounds. And I think they could develop him over at Right Tackle. Also, Jalen Moore still there. Josh Simmons. Feeling okay about the Interrupt of Line, Sans Kingsley, Sue Amata, which that kills me. I loved him coming out of the BYU. Well, love is strong. But I really liked him. It wasn't treated by his upside. And they boosted up the D line. They could use him their corner. But I'm also like no way. I'm such a spagnolo guy that I think is going to be fine. And then sneaked back, getting in the nickel. I think it's going to be fun. Yeah, sorry.

I hate to have history repeat itself. But sometimes it does that. We're going to go Nick Marsh. That is just that is the ex-receiver they have been looking for. That is just too easy of a fit. If you didn't take him there, I think I was going to take him for the Ravens. Because the Ravens need one of those. Need an ex-wife receiver too. Look into the roster. And they obviously need a driver's see for because safe flowers, they only want to see where that I leave them like on the roster. Which is like I could take Ryan Coleman Williams. But our is Coleman Williams and safe flowers a little bit too similar in play style. Or do you just get the best player available at a position I need and go from there? It could be. They also, I mean, they spent a lot of money on Trey Hendrixson. But he's on a short term deal if I remember correctly. They did draft Zion Young, like she was like, oh, okay, that gives you at least someone, oh, you, someone young to kind of develop. If it's a blind looks pretty good.

Oh, man, I don't know. Still be a Louisiana. It could be good. Getting up grade there. At corner or. Do you draft or do you draft a key on Lacey? It's kind of like a dare canary replacement? I'd be lying if that wasn't where my head went. To be comfortable with you. Yeah, I think, yeah, I think key on Lacey. Yeah, let's go with that. Dude, that would be so fun. Yeah. Just to get that back in. And like we can have like a little bit of an overlap of Lacey plus Henry. I mean, that's like Justice Hill on the most Roy do you ever see? Yeah. Like that's just awesome. All right, Seattle Seahawks. Draft him for one of the best teams in football. So this will be easy. I do think they could probably use one more guard. I don't know if I'm like feeding and undoing that right now. I don't know. Actually, you know what? They do they drafted my boy, Boe Boe Stevens. Slash, I was I was like a pound of table fourth round kind of Boe Stevens guy. I think he'll win that job for Manthead Bradford,

be honest with you. And he won't be all world or anything, but he's going to be a damn good player. Um, yeah, I wonder if future proving edge would make sense here. And because of that, I feel like Matteo Ui Angola Le is probably to stay on the board long enough to where he would make sense here. Play against the standing up, can play him the dirt. They've asked edge rusters to do both of those. They've even asked like Uchena Novosu to move back and forth between on ball and off ball. And I think Mike Mac would would value that flexibility. So I want to go with Matteo Ui Angola Le. And frankly, the the strengths that Ui Angola Le brings the table right now. If Tink Lawrence walks, that is like copy paste. That's just a step into that role. And he's a day one contributor. Yeah, love that pick. If it's kind of like they're just personality and team totally like Sunson. All right, the bills. I'm going to I this one, I feel like I'm pretty easy on. They don't have the water seevers. A big team need for them. I know they got they traded for DJ more in this obfseason, obviously. But like Ryan Coleman Williams is kind of just a colliol Shakir like huge upgrade. Like they will fill a similar role,

but he'll be just be so much better at it. And DJ more like you con receiver, they just drafted him. And I was kind of thinking about it. But he was a fourth from other people. He's a fourth from Shakir replacement of the making tail. Yeah, but he's a fourth from pick. I don't think that stops you from drafting, getting more weapons for Josh Allen. And I just think Ryan Coleman Williams is too good to fall out of the first round in my opinion. And he's probably not going to go to the Browns and the next pick. So I'm just going to take take him here. And if you have too many weapons, it's not necessarily a bad thing. And whether it's him, a Mario Miller or Bryant West go. I think I would lean towards Miller or West go because you can play him next and have that field stretching speed. But either way, you're getting a speed playmaker for the biggest arm in the lead question mark. You know, like what can go wrong there? Who begins the Cleveland Browns? We haven't taken quarterback yet. So this kind of worked out really well for us. Because like at this point, I feel this is pretty realistic. Sans Mestemaker. If Mestemaker is in the draft, he's off the board 20 days ago. Because if he was a day to pick, he'd be going back to college.

Exactly. And frankly, that's just kind of where I'm at. So really this to me, it sellers is interesting. Like I'm still like he was my QB3. I'm not ready to quit on the North Sellers. I think an improved roster can make for an improved the North Sellers. Also, orprials coming in to be the OSE. I'm curious to see where this goes. That being said, like just for the sake of, I don't know, actually now that I say that. We won all three of these guys. It's like now I'm thinking about Dary and Mesa. He gets to play Miami. And like now go throw him in the cold. I was going to go jade my OVA here. But like going from USC to Cleveland feels brutal from like a condition standpoint. Because that honestly, the North Sellers is legs. He's probably the guy that can like most equip himself to be fine. So I'm going to go to the North Sellers here. I'm not ready to quit on my boyhood. Hey, I was a little lower on on sellers. But I think that makes a lot of sense. Like I think we said in the podcast, we did the quarterback episode. He doesn't have to improve that much to become a first-round pick. Like if he improves incrementally, but maybe he doesn't have like the

incredible year. So he's not a top five pick. And a team's going to take a chance for him at the end of the first round. And we are talking about a guy, Richard Jr., I think he would have one more year of eligibility. So like maybe he uses the portal next off season. But like this is kind of a maker break here. So like once they get paid back, you know, they had a couple of receivers in the portal on top of the OSE change. I think this should be the year. This should be the year where the North Sellers kind of puts it all together. But here it is. One more time. All 32 picks from our updated 2027 NFL mock draft. If you like today's video, hit that like button. Comment your thoughts down below. Steve, any thoughts on this mock draft? What was your maybe your favorite pick? I'll show the screen one more time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pull it up. Yeah, I think I mean, one we nailed it for sure. So I'm a percent accurate. You've got to better. Better. Yeah, this was the real draft. Yeah, I mean, I this might be kind of. I really like Ash and Hap to the Lions. And because we've had that in both drafts, I just think that is just such a team need fit, team culture fit, team style fit, head coach to play or fit. That's, I mean, I really love that one. I also, I kind of stole, like, I kind of stole this pick from you, but trade has green to the box at 10. I think that's a player that. I mean, I'm not the first person to say this. I mean, his potential is just so sky high. That is, he has the looks of a top 10 tie-dend. And, you know, if he shows just a little bit more this year, he'll probably go in the top 20. So I like that pick too. Yeah, I'll give you one offense, one defense. Charlie Becker to the commanders,

like that is just like Chef's Kiss, done. Yeah, that's good. And then Chris Cole, like that is such a fan's joke, of linebacker, like, when everything in the world is a nail, or when you're a hammer, everything in the world starts to look like a nail. And Chris Cole is the epitome of that. So I love that fit for like a fan show of defense. So good work. Good work, sir. Good job, Dr. Becker. You as well. You as well. Shake it all around. Well, also, we're going to be having another mock draft next week. Also next week, we're going to be doing a little bit of a week one preview, if you will. Kind of talking about five rookies from each of us that we think are going to have the biggest impact somewhat in production. But also, like, if this seems to make the playoffs, it's because this rookie panned out. So be on the lookout for that early next week. And then, of course, another mock draft next Friday. So for my broadcast partner, Steve Letizia for everyone at 32B riders, my name's TJ. This has been the draft capital. Until next time, we are signing off. Dayport now here.
