Eagles Trade for Dalton, McKee's Future Uncertain

For the NFL, it's March 18th, here's what's happening.

The Philadelphia Eagles just made a key move at quarterback, trading a 2027-7 ground pick

to the Carolina Panthers for veteran Andy Dalton.

This adds serious experience to their quarterback room, where Dalton will back up Jalen Hertz.

The 38-year-old has 169 regular season starts under his belt from his long career.

Meanwhile, over in Carolina, Dalton had limited action last season with just one start in

four games, and their GM said he'd need to compete for the back-up spot behind Bryce

Young.

The trade raises questions for Eagles' back-up, Tanner McKee, hinting at a possible

deal for him, or frustration with his progress after a rough fool.

Start in week 18 against the Washington commanders.

McKee went 21 of 40 passing that day with one touchdown, one interception, and a 68.9 rating,

a step back from his, earlier debut.
