EJ Walker to Enter Transfer Portal, Badgers a Top Choice

On March 24, with the college basketball regular season wrapping up for most teams, transfer

portal news is already heating up.

EJ Walker, a six-foot seven-forward from South Carolina, plans to enter the portal this

spring.

The Badgers were one of his top choices coming out of high school in Kentucky, where he

was a top four-star recruit.

Walker saw action in 22 games as a freshman, starting six and averaging 2.9 points with

2.7 rebounds in about 16 minutes per game.

He shot well inside the arc, but struggled from three-point range in the free-throw line.

Wisconsin fans have taken notice, especially after the team's rebounding issues late in

the season without Nolan Winter.

Walker's size at 253 pounds, perimeter quickness, and high motor, make him a versatile defender

who could add needed depth up, front.

His agents confirmed the move, and with the portal opening April 7, the Badgers could

jump back into the mix since Walker already visited, Madison officially.
