EJ Walker Transfers from South Carolina

On March 24, South Carolina, forward EJ Walker, is entering the NCAA transfer portal after

his freshman season.

The six-foot seven-forward saw action in 22 games off the bench for the Gamecocks, averaging

2.9 points and 2.7 assists per game.

Originally, coaches planned to reture Walker, but head coach Lamont Paris changed course

after a five-and-three start.

Walker made his college debut on December 6th, in a win over Stetson and ended up playing

meaningful minutes.

Walker was recruiting Koo for South Carolina, landing him over big 10 powers like Ohio State,

Purdue, and Wisconsin.

He's a three-star prospect from Erlangur, Kentucky's Lloyd High School, ranked number 205 in

the 2025 cycle.

His shooting showed promise inside with 42.9% from the field, but he struggled from three

at 24.1% and the line at 47.1%.

With three other players already in the portal, South Carolina faces roster changes

ahead of next season, as Walker searches for his next stop.
