We want to thank you tonight for these mighty machines that you brought before. Thank you for the dodges and the toy odors. Thank you for the forwards. Lord, I want to thank you for my smoking hot life tonight Lisa. In Jesus name, book it in book. Now here are your hosts, Rod Villagomas and Cody Zebe. Welcome into another episode of the NASCAR Gambling Podcast here on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network. He's Cody Zebe. I'm Rod Villagomas and we move to the great state of Illinois. It's so confusing because they say Gateway is St. Louis but yet it's the joy. Illinois 300. Cody got to help me but buddy we're going to the Gateway the worldwide technology raceway for the second race of the chase and yeah proves to be a lot of fun. Another track type that we're introducing into the into the chase after we did a intermediate that's not a short, don't call it a short track and now we move to Gateway which is another one of those.
I don't call it a short track but it's not a mile and a half anyways. Lots of fun to be had second race of the chase Cody. This is an exciting time to be alive. Absolutely looking forward to it. They are in the St. Louis area, suburb if you will but on the other side of the river there. Of course it's in Madison, Illinois. Hope that clears it up for you Rod. But yeah, no, I'm excited. This is kind of one that's this is very similar to Darlington last week which we had already been to once this year. Gateway is kind of its own thing. There's some tracks you can look at and there's some stuff you can take away especially from what we've had recently but there's not a direct sister track to Gateway. It's kind of is its own thing provides its own racing and should be exciting. It's brought us some good races the last couple of years. I think they've only been here five or six years maybe in the Cup Series total. But yeah, I'm excited for another should be another what should be another great race. Yeah, four races total on this track in the next gen era.
So not necessarily a wealth of information. Yeah, 2022, 23, 24, 25. But I was listening to inside the race with Latart and Harrison Burton was actually on that episode and he was talking about how. Harrison did a great job. Yeah, he really did too. Yeah, he talks about how you turn you drive into one and two like Erwin or you know the yeah turns one and two where they're both like kind of short track corners. And then three of four opens up a lot like Loudon. So you can't really drive this track the same way for all four corners. And so that makes comping this track just a daunting task as it is because even the drivers and crew chiefs don't even know how to tell you how this track is behaving. And especially now that they're running the same package that they ran last week on this one. It's a whole different kind of ones because this is their first time running this type of package on this track. So higher higher speeds into the first couple of corners. We could see some chaos. Yeah, it is that higher horse power the 750.
Quote unquote short track package or at least under the mile and a half. So they're running something they ran at darlinton. Last week like you said, we've seen it at New Hampshire, Iowa North Wilkesboro. All those tracks here recently. So you know, and this is the first year that they brought this package. So we haven't seen you here before. So. Yeah, it'll be kind of interesting. Got a pretty good mix. I think in the picks of what have you done at this track in particular and what have you done for me lately. So I think it's going to pay it out well and really looking forward to it. Yeah, I definitely can't wait to get to the to the analysis as we do. So let's let's give you another reminder that the free roll football contest. If you missed the recap show, we celebrated Marcus's birthday by having a Christopher Bell win. I love it because in the comments, this is when you know humanity's healed again. MK Moor said, I can't believe that I am so excited for a perfect stranger that Christopher Bell got the win on Marcus's 21st birthday. It was amazing. I love it. Yeah. And there's been a bunch of people like happy birthday Marcus. Awesome to see Christopher win for Marcus. So shout out to Marcus. Hope you had a great birthday. Obviously celebrating the big bell win. So yeah, props to Marcus. He's always in the chat. Always joining us and we love it. And of course, predicting another Christopher Bell win because he's good at gateway and he's not definitely wrong on that. We've got some thoughts on Christopher Bell during the show. So you want to stay tuned for that, Marcus or maybe you won't like it.
You're right. JDK saying he'd like to start by saying he does not take this sport seriously. You spared seriously wrong, by the way. Hunter said this will be a race where Penske will thrive. As it takes feelings, seriously, either talk about that in a little bit too. Slow roll. What's the code? Did you guys been really good at every last couple of years? Indeed. Yes. Slow roll. I did go talk to Iraq. I the discord, you know, again, rough. For the show I had to go outside, reset myself. I felt like talking to Iraq would be better conversation. So I did that. I love it. Chris Palmer checking and saying hi, Cody, hi, Rod. It's Taco Tuesday. Hell yeah, it is. Love Taco Tuesday. Hell yeah. Taco Tuesday is always a fun time. Although let's answer his question. Let's answer his question in the disc. He just asked it in the discord. I want it because we both said the same thing. He said who's going to win first? Larsen or Byron? Both of us said Larsen. That's no no brainer there. Yeah, I think I mean, just the way that Larsen's running obviously we're on a 50 plus race win the streak at this point, but
eventually one's going to fall his way. I think it might not be this year. It may be in the next season, but just the way he's running over how Byron is just terribly performing right now. Hard to say that Byron is going to get it done, but who knows? I mean, it wouldn't be shocked if Byron did, but I had to pick one. It's certainly Larsen at this point. Yeah, we got we got more thoughts on Byron later on in the episode, but first and foremost, there's some news floating out there. Who shocked ladies and gentlemen? Who is shocked? Yeah. That the 42 cities bills. Who saw this coming rod? I can't believe this has been a year of just shocking announcement after shocking announcement. I mean, nobody thought this was going to happen. It's crazy. We all thought that one driver was going to the 42 car turns out it's Josh Barry who gets the ride. So, I mean, yeah, it's officially announced by legacy today. Josh Barry joining the 42 car. Again, not not shocking. Bianchi reported it. He generally doesn't report incorrect facts and it's where we're at.
I tell you though, I don't know if it was this streak that he's been on that really just kind of opened up every time. I said, okay, well, this is the right choice. Or if this was a pre ordained choice and then maybe he's like doing this because he knew already. Yeah, it makes you wonder because like what caused that? And so I think it was rowdy maybe in the discord that said something about Jimmy or JDK maybe, but Jimmy said that he didn't have an altercation with John Hunter. I didn't see that actual, you know, whatever he said there, but that was the report that they had an altercation. What kind of led to this? Was it that? Did they just decide like, you know, to Dale Jr. call and be like, Jimmy, you got to put him in. This guy's got a way to cup championship. She got to do it. And Jimmy's like, okay, fine. I don't know. But yeah, it was whole thing kind of a weird turn of events. But obviously the way Josh has been running here lately over the last, you know, six weeks has been like, okay. But also, if you look back at the last couple of years, I don't know, it's been, it's been a mix back because he's had some really great runs. He's not, these have been really great tracks for him.
Does that keep up in a couple of weeks when we get to some different tracks, but he's shown, I mean, he's shown the mile and I have to go out and win it last Vegas and run while it cans us and that stuff too. So I don't know. It's interesting, but I, based on how he's been running lately, he certainly earned it, I guess. I mean, and look, here's the thing. We know that legacy is starting to put there and it feels like they're going to put a lot more money into their program over the next few years, obviously with the third charter, probably herbs joining in the 84. Like, this is a team that obviously Toyota's fast this year and they haven't slowed down at all. So legacy should be able to get a lift from that plus a little more money. Another infusion of another couple of co owners in the group, right in the club, rather, I guess is what we'll call it, but you know, all these guys, they're in it now to make legacy, a much better team than than it is now. And I mean, Josh Barry could be, could be the spark that takes it. And Eric Jones and Josh Barry together, rise the tide. I don't know. I'm just saying like, it's, it seems to be like it'll be fun next year to follow the storylines.
Yeah, it'll be interesting. Obviously we saw as RFK kind of suspended it. It seemed to hurt them with their two cars adding that third car and certainly put a burden on it for the first year or so. So we'll see how that works at legacy. They do obviously have a big influx of cash and Jimmy really seems committed to, you know, winning over there and when Jimmy puts his mind is something we've seen it's worked out pretty well so far, except for the Indy car thing. But maybe not always. We've seen a lot of goats, not be great to ownership, but you see you're making all the right moves so far. So yeah, we just have to kind of see how it goes. I mean, it's a, it's a good group. I think you have Eric is one of the more talented drivers really. I think it goes a little bit under the radar how talented Eric Jones is. If you don't remember, you haven't been around that long. You used to be in the 20 car for Joe gives racing kind of I don't think you got enough time. Maybe in that ride and was shifted out for Christopher Bell, which obviously has worked out pretty well for for JGR, but very talented race car driver Barry.
We'll see right we're still jury still out. I think I guess on that. I mean, Riley has shown a lot of progress as a young driver and he brings a lot of money to the team, which they need. They think everybody needs a little cash infusion when it comes to that. Chris has a question before we hit the break. He says, do you see anyone attempt or lower in the standings currently winning in the chase cups series. Well, let's reset it. If you didn't watch the recap show, we'll reset. I don't really know because they're 10th or worse. Well, let's read the reset for you. Denny Denny hamlin sits atop the points and he is let's see 12 points above Christopher Bell Ryan Blaney 16 points behind Tyler,
mathematically, no one's really eliminated yet, but it would take a miraculous effort for anybody behind Bubba to really make a solid. Yeah, I mean, so you look at the drivers, right? And it's not a group that like you're, you know, if Joe, I was back there or Larsen and slip back there like you could really see those types going on a run. Is Daniel Svore is going to rip off three wins and put himself in the conversation probably not by run. Could, but I mean, he would need to win three or four races at this point in time. And it's not that he can't. It's just highly unlikely. I mean, he's 114 points behind Denny right now that can turn around quickly. It certainly can, but you're also going to help from other guys having issues. I just don't see that happening. Post of our is in that group. So I'm not going to say it won't happen. We're he's ahead of a Hendrick car. He must, he must try harder than William Byron. I guess I don't know how to check the discord for that. See how that works. But, but yeah, I mean, likely I would say your champion comes from the top eight spots at this point of time. I'm not going to exclude joy.
I'm not going to exclude joy. Look on out in there. But what a what a group that top eight nine drivers in the chase right now is. But this is this should come in a surprise because we when we were laying out who we thought was going to be in the chase those names were among the first that we had in there. So like all eight of those names. There's no surprises. We knew they were going to be in the chase. And we just didn't know where they would end up at the end of it. So, you know, it's just. Oh, and that's 80 year best drivers. I mean, really. So that's. You know, obvious, I guess, but yes, that's probably one of the eight best drivers wins. I mean, it's not really a hot take. But, yeah, not impossible. I'm not going to rule it out, especially with the bonus points for winning. And if somebody can rack off some stage points. I mean, you go sweep two races with the stages. Get max. What is it? 76 points you can get in a race for two or three races. That's going to do some damage no matter what anybody else is doing. But I just don't see that happening indeed. All right. Let's say, let's see. Evening gentleman, the expert suck is saying so hello. And then anyone but captain. Well, you know, we know that this works.
Yeah, well, don't count out captain Chuck, because you know, he's the reigning champion defending champion at that. All you got to do is go on the run at the right time. And you are golden. All right. We've got a race to break down. And we will do exactly that. But first, let me tell you about a friends over at edge boost. We're brought to you by edge boost. There you go. Just saying that that's I cannot root for a Dodger to do anything good in life. I I hear you. I know. All right. It's time for the enjoy Illinois 300. We are set for 240 laps around this 1.250 mile paved track for 300.00 miles around the worldwide technology raceway at Gateway in Madison, Illinois. Don't call it Saint Louis. Don't call it Saint Louis. It's not although it kind of is. I just I don't get it. Like I know that it's close to it. That's like that's like calling San Francisco 49 or San Francisco when they're clearly in Santa Clara. I still hate that.
Yeah. I mean, it's just like Kansas City being mostly in Missouri where it's like is it really a Kansas City if it's in Missouri. But yeah, you know, semantics. But yeah, normal drivers, right? So nothing nothing out of the ordinary anybody. Any shocking entry. Yeah, it's. No, it's 36 entries. So it's your traditional chartered cars and that's that's all we have. This one is as we kind of mentioned earlier, kind of an egg shaped track similar to darlington in that way. I was trying to look at the. So it's 1.25 miles. That's why we're running the 750 package here. I was trying to look at the banking because I think the banking is pretty. Yeah, 11 degrees in the turns. So very, very flat 11 degrees in turns one and two and nine degrees in turns three and four. So yeah, extremely flat track. So while it's bigger, it's definitely not a short track, right? So well over a mile. It races like a short track because of the flatness of it. So kind of a hybrid track, but yeah, that's that's a really good. Indeed. All right, well, that Cody.
I think it's time to start setting up the betting cards for this race. I think it's time to do just that. I'm going to start with one Tyrone Gibbs. You can get him over Tyler, reddit. This has moved up very quickly. And 30 over the score when I put in the dock. I think it was minus 110, but the people are smart with the money and they know what they're doing. Look Ty Gibbs. Obviously, he's been running well. I had another great run last week. And then you come here to gateway and you know what's scary about Ty Gibbs when you come to a track like this route is most of the tracks you look at his history and he's not been very good. And yet he's running well, but now you look at this history and he's run really well at this track. They should be pretty scared because he finished 20th place here in his first career start back in 2023, but then the last two years, 11th, 10th place runs. Those are really, really good finishes. Tyler, reddit. He's not much of a short track guy and he's kind of struggled at this track. And we did have a fourth place run here in 2024. So we'll give him his props for that. But there's other three finishes. 16th, 35th and 16th place, not good runs overall. But then you look at what have you done for me lately, obviously well documented how well Ty Gibbs has been running.
Second at Darlington, we're going to toss out Daytona, six dead new Hampshire, Richmond was a bit of a down day with a 15th place run, but he wanted Iowa short track, right, 12th at Indy, fourth place at a flat short track in North Wilkesboro. You like that. 91 and intermediate, eighth place at Chicago, you know, and he's just been having such a great season. Nashville's a 13th place run, not a bad day for a track that has some comparisons as well. For Tyler, reddit, he did have a fast car last week, finished in third place. It was a great run there. Eight place at Richmond, or sorry, 11th place at Richmond, eighth place at at North Wilkesboro or New Hampshire, might get us a moment over the place here. Let's try that again. Eight place at New Hampshire, 11th place at Richmond, 36 at Iowa, Rex, early on, right. North Wilkesboro, 30th place finish, doesn't run as well there. Chicago, 36th place finish, been a much rougher run for him. Now, he did have a six place at Nashville. So not saying this is a complete just walk away home run for Ty Gibbs, but I like Ty Gibbs a lot better here. Ty's been running extremely well on the short tracks.
Tyler, reddit, he's gotten better than he once was is, you know, not running quite as good. So give me Ty Gibbs over Tyler, reddit. And of course that's moved to minus 130 now over on the score, but still going to take it even at that number. All right. Then how's he say, don't you have one more next? I do have one more. I wanted to pause for a dramatic effect. I hope it worked. We have beef on the track. Befeat the sports books. It is Brad keselowski up against the driver who doesn't try doesn't care about the sport in any way, shape or form. And you would be a fool to think otherwise. You go to the discord to understand what I'm talking about, but they're pairing them up. They have beef on the track right when she put them together in a matchup. And they're giving us Carson, host of our over Brad keselowski minus 110 over on Caesars. This is an insane number. Oh, but Brad keselowski said he's going to go wreck Tyler, or go, go, go, go wreck Carson, host of our. Well, first of all, is he because all these guys talk a big game.
Oh, I'm going to wreck him. Oh, I'm going to wreck him. I'm tired of his beer. And then they never, ever do anything shout out to Matt Kenseth for taking out joy, LaGona that one time. But other than that, you don't really see it. It's all talk. It's all in and now can keselowski go wreck host of our this weekend. No, we can't because he said to the camera. He was going to do it. If he goes and wrecks host of our this weekend, how's he not suspended for a race? I mean, he would have to be because he said it and we know you can't say it. Ryan Price will tell you that Ryan Price will sell you a t-shirt that says don't push the button. Keselowski push the button. So not going to wreck him. Also, you can't wreck a guy that you don't run around most of the time. The only reason host of our was even near keselowski is because it was a pit cycle. And he was just trying to get past the slow old man, not even a chase driver has nothing to race for really. So for those reasons, I love Carson, host of our but also Carson, host of our really, really good at this track in particular. So you pull up Carson, host of our statistics made his first career start here. You might remember it, Rod.
June 4th, 2023. I will never forget the day. Corrie LaJoy gets the call from Mr. H. He gets to go drive the number nine car for a Kendrick. Unfortunately, it did not go well. But this kid Carson, host of our comes up from the trucks, he gets in this car and he is just ripping and he looks so good. He's having a great day. Now the break rotor blows out and he hits the wall and he finishes dead last. So results on the track, not the same as the race. He was having an impressive day. And literally that day earned himself a cup ride. He comes back the next year full time for Spire Motorsports and finishes eighth place in the 77 car that I think Ty Dylan was driving the year before that couldn't complete laps. Like it was just a bad car comes out and finishes eighth place. Comes back last year finishes in 15th place. So we're coming to a track where Carson has been really, really good at and for Brad, Kizlowski, it's not that he's been bad here, you know, 16th place average finish. You did have a third place here in 2024. So 2024 seems to be the outlier race because a lot of these guys who don't have great track records here finished well that day. And I know there was some fuel mileage stuff.
I don't remember that race completely, but I don't know if that played into some of these finishes, but Kizlowski 20th 28th third and 17th. So overall, generally doesn't run well here. And Hoasovar is run much better than he has. Hoasovar as a chase driver. He's got a lot more to race for than then Kizlowski and, and yeah, it's, I wouldn't say it's been a great run for Hoasovar here lately. He's had a lot of down races, certainly, but 11th place run last week at Darlington. It was a good day and, and Kizlowski's not been that much more impressive. Certainly not a guy you can count on not a chase driver. So give me our king, Mr. Carson, Hoasovar over that old guy once on a missing poster on the show. Brad, Kizlowski, it's minus 110 over on Caesars. So we got asked earlier about the Larsen versus Byron debate on who's going to win first. I'm going to take Byron in a head to head matchup, but I'm going to take his teammate chase Elliott.
And I'm going to take Elliott over Byron because they're giving me Elliott at plus 110 over William Byron. And honestly, all you have to do is just look at what William Byron has done over the last few races. I mean, granted, look, he had a couple of good runs at Iowa and Richmond where he placed ninth in both of those, but he placed 30th at Loudon, 22nd at Daytona, 37th at Darlington. I mean, even before that 21st at Andy 12th at North Wilkesboro, like these aren't really William Byron numbers, right? These are the ones that you're going, this is kind of rough. He's got 18th National 30th. He did have a ninth place at Charlotte, which was kind of okay. An eighth place at Texas, but William Byron has been so under performing this year that I just I'll take almost anybody in ahead to head over him as of recently, because he's got 11 top 10 finishes and 27 starts for top five. And then he's just average finish this year 16.9. It has not been fun for William Byron now. Now I'm telling you, Elliott's not been a whole lot better. He's only got nine top 10 finishes this year. His average finish 14.7.
He's had some bad finishes over the last few weeks where it was 25th at Loudon, 23rd at Daytona, 14th at Darlington. But again, if you look all three of those races were still better than his teammate, except the fifth place at Richmond. He's still got him at Richmond, even though William Byron finished ninth. So Elliott got him there. Iowa was a different situation where Byron got him. But again, North Wilkesboro 17th, like it's just the hits just keep coming for William Byron in disappointment land. And Elliott's as bad as he's been still been able to outrun him at all on the season. Now here's where the Sims will differ a little bit because when the race.info right now, if you sign up, you get $100 for the rest of the season. And that's not just cup race. That's O'Reilly auto parts, stairs and craftsmen, trucks, stairs down the stretch. So make sure you you take full advantage of that. But they've got the Sims. They've got chase Elliott 48.4%. Fair market value for this is plus one of seven. So you are getting fair market for it. But yeah, just under 50% of the Sims, Elliott's beating Byron. But we talk about the I test. We have a short out there about the I test. The I test tells me that chase Elliott should be able to outrun William Byron and on this track.
Their average finish believe they're not right back once against each other. So chase Elliott in eighth with 12.3 as his average finish William Byron 13.3 as his average finish. But chase Elliott is two for three in the races that he's he's raised on remember he did not race in 2023 because of his injuries. So 2022 chase Elliott 21st William Byron in eighth Byron did get an eight or I'm sorry 19th Byron got an eighth place in 2023. 2024 chase Elliott 13th William Byron 15th and then last year it was chase Elliott 3rd William Byron 11th. So the last couple seasons. Well, couple of positions or an entire field between him and the and the 24 chase Elliott's been able to get the better of them. But again, this is more just looking at the momentum that William Byron. And yeah, they've got a swing for the fences now because if they want any sort of shot from from dead last in the chase to start coming back. They really have to take some swings and Cody, we've seen it a lot of times when team when teams take too many big swings. Well, their bats break or something goes wrong or a tire goes down or you know it sometimes it doesn't work in their favor. And on a team on a trajectory the William Byron's on right now. Those swings turn out to be misses more than they come out to be base hits or or doubles. So like I said, give me chase Elliott over William Byron. This is a plus money. I just I love it because it's plus money for sure.
Yeah, I love this one as well. Actually, I was looking at this one and then notice you put in the docs. I was like, perfect. He's going to talk about it. But how do you not just straight up fade William Byron right now? I mean, he just has not been good. And you know, we saw chase came here in that first start and didn't run well and then LaJoy struggled because it seemed like Hendrick the first two years in this track just couldn't figure it out. But Elliott's gotten better. The last two races. He's looked better and Byron is just, you know, untouchable at this point of time. So I'll completely back you on this one. Indeed. All right. Well, let's see. We got another packed couple of boxes. So we'll do this. We'll step away for a break real quick. And then we'll come back and finish off the rest of the card. But before we do. And yeah, it keeps hitting. So that's, you know, that's where we're at. It is indeed. All right. Let's continue down the card. I know we got some top 10s to hit.
Yeah, top five first chase perisco. Top five going to take him plus 220 over on bet 365. Look, I mean, dude just has it each and every week. I know he let us down last week. Finishing in six place after having such a fast car, but that's how it goes sometimes. So start back at 2022 sits on the pole here. Super toss number in number 14. Pretty cool there finishes 24th. Then he comes back and finishes 34th. Got a little better in year 317 place finish. Then he comes here in a JGR car last year. Boom. Maybe leads 15 laps. Wind stage one finishes second place on the day. That's exactly what we're looking for from chase. Briscoe just the way he's been running here lately. Obviously the six place last week at Darlington, but was running much better than that. Your hamster was a big let down with that 26 place finish. But before that second at Richmond, sixth at Iowa, fourth at Indy, third at North Wilkesboro, one's at Chicago, second at Sonoma, just a great run of races out of Chase, Briscoe.
He's kicked on Chase mode, if you will, for the chase for the championship for Chase, Briscoe. Keeps getting it done. I expect the Pensacars to be good here. I know that was mentioned in the chat earlier. Yes. But the JGR cars are going to be the best cars here. I don't know why they wouldn't be. They continue to perform each and every single week. Then damn cheat and yodors are fast. Keep batting on them. Give me chase. Briscoe top five plus 220. Then Rod. Next up, I would like to take the driver who sold 200,000 dollars worth of merchandise on his website in a 24 hour period this week. The driver who is currently doing more for the sport than anybody has done in quite some time. That is of course our king. Carson host of our top 10 plus 250. I love host of our this week. I just talked about him in the head to head over Brad keselowski. And you know, again, what have you done for me lately is so so. He's coming off in 11th place runs. So I'll take that. But his performances here at this track in particular have been what's blown me away.
That first career start in the seven car filling in for Corey LaJoy. Again, that car was so fast. He looks so good. And it was just like. It was such a. Wow. What what's going on? Like where did this kid? I mean, because I mean, Corey LaJoy wasn't running that great on a week to week basis at that point in time. But showed up just ran great until he, you know, the break break rotor explodes that happens. But then he comes back. And he finishes eighth place with an amazing run in 2024. And then a 15th place run last year. And then this year, much like Thai Gibbs is running way better everywhere than he has been running in the past. So. Jimmy Carson host of our top 10 plus 250. And then we'll turn our attention to his teammate, me amigo Daniel Swarr as for a top 10 plus 450. Now I am building this case solely on. Spire in particular at this track because they've been really good. Now Daniel does have a seventh place run here in 2023 in the track. I'll score. Of course, he's not been back. It's been here in a Spire car yet. His other three starts here. Nothing to write home about really. But even just in Haley performed well at this track in the Spire car.
That gives me a lot of hope and a lot of promise in Suarez. You know, 21st last week could have certainly been a little bit better. But some of these other tracks like New Hampshire 17th Richmond 16th Indie 17th place run 9th place in North Wilkesboro. In the top 10 or just outside of the top 10 as you start to look down that top 10 board with the way Spires run here in the past. And the season Suarez is having again, you can't really look at those track house days as much because he's been running so much better this year at Spire when they really figured some stuff out. So give me Daniel Suarez top 10 plus 450 over on that 365. Indeed. All right. I'm going to go back to the well. I just when you look at the average finishes on this particular track. There's just so much chalk and the problem is that when you start looking at outliers and when you start looking at we like to give you know. tend to give some out right or some long shot top 10s to try to kind of fill the void but like. This is a very chalky average finish. It is Joy Logano 3.5. It's so tough. It is and the and the books have definitely tightened up to make it even rougher. So Joy Logano sits atop of the average finish board at 3.5. Then Bell then Larsen Blaney Hamlin, Cindrick Boucher, Elliot Byron Gibbs, right. That's your top 10. And then after that.
You get these smatterings of every once in a while like a John Hunter, you may check pops up with the top 10 Michael McDowell pops up at the top 10. Brackazowski one top 10 Austin Dylan Tyler, Rettik Chase, brisco, like all these guys just popping up with these random top 10. So the majority of the top 10s are concentrated among 10 drivers. So it's hard to get away from that. But for me. I'm going to ride back with bubble wall as a top 10 car at plus 110. If you go to win the race, they've got this fair market at plus 128 and happening 43.9% of the Sims for bubble wall is to finish inside of the top 10. And for bubble wall is I mean again, a lot of this is just you seeing how good he can be. We saw how good he could be last week. He has an eighth place finish last year on this track. But he's another one of those guys right that just popped up. It was 26 30th 21st. Now he's eighth, but he's in the chase, right? And bubble wall is now in the chase. Bubble wall is sort of in that conversation. The fringe of where we feel comfortable sort of saying that they still have a shot, right?
And then that eighth place last week at Darley to win a long way in helping that followed up by that second place at Loudon, which was a pretty good run there. He had a sixth place in North Booksboro. As well earlier in the season that night, the Texas, the fifth at Kansas, but he always was well at Kansas six that Phoenix, right? So you know he's capable of top 10s. He's had 12 of them so far this season, about 44% of the time he's finished inside of the top 10. Again, this is a bubble wall and a bubble wall as team that just lay down the fastest pit stop in the in the single lug nut era, right? So these guys can get him on and off the off the pit road quickly. And we know tens of seconds matter when it comes to finishing inside of the top 10 or outside of the top 10. So bubble wall has all the motivation in the world has done this already last year. Did it last week was the second point. I mean, you throw out Daytona, but second place at the other intermediate that we were at. So I feel like he's on a pretty good trajectory to get another top 10 finish this week with a really fast pit crew and some motivation under him.
Yeah, I like this. I've actually got some more thoughts on bubble in a bit. So I'll save those for that. But the type of guy you can put himself in position, put himself up front runs well at this style of track. You know, if you're you're making your selections for the draft over on win the race. You're picking a 2311 driver this week. I think bubble wall is the guy to pick over a Tyler reddick type of guy because like reddick as we pointed out, not been as good here. Baba, this is more his style of track and does well. So I will back you on this one. Rodney agrees. He'll says, Baba to the front for sure. Hunter's trying to give Baba a streak. I don't know. He's got two two good finishes, two bad finishes. We're not a streak yet. Hunter, but we might be getting there. So we'll see. Also wanted to shout out Lynn in the chat earlier. So that's a gift. I think that was the host of our bet. He was referencing there in the head to head. So yeah, shout out to everybody in the chat. As always, Rod. Next up for me, I did find one little bit of a longer shot top 10. But like you mentioned, it's going to be a tough week.
I think for many people to crack the top 10 that you don't expect to be there. So kind of limits our options. But I'm going to take a stab with Austin Dillard. For a top 10 at 60 to one. So like Austin Dillard, you look back at his performances here. 15th in the first start here. So we're hanging out. We're in the area right 31st. He got to reckon 23 sixth place. So in 2024 again, that weird year with some of the results still line up with everything else. And then 18th last year. So three top 18 finishes, if you will. Again, if you're looking for somebody a little longer that hangs around. That's I mean, it's a little bit of a stretch. Yes. But I think Austin Dillard can get it done. And you look at what he's done for you lately. He's had some results. And again, that's what you're looking for as a guy who can maybe put himself in position 29th last week. Seven that Daytona was a good run. 19th of Richmond. He did have a top 10 at Iowa. So good day. Therefore, I'm outside of that. Then pretty rough. Otherwise, Frost and Dylan. But again, as looked on the board. There's nobody longer than I really want to make a case for some of the regular guys would go to it. Just like, I don't know. I can't, can't pull the trigger this week. So not going to do it.
But I am going to switch roles from one Austin to another. Give me Austin, Cinder. Can I got two bets on him top 10 plus 130 and also going to take him as a top finishing Ford plus 265 Austin Dillard Austin Cinder. Score the win a huge day for him there. Ninth last year was a bit disappointing out of Cinder. But coming out of Darlington where he'd run. What was the top 13, 6th and a row or something. He extended that story with another 13th. Please finish. So just putting himself in position. Being right there at these tracks. He's good at this is one of those tracks. He's good at. And you look back and he's actually been running pretty good here lately.
Darlington 13th last week, 6th of Daytona, 12th of New Hampshire, 3rd of Richmond. Iowa, we had the car lift and it was just a terrible day. Uncharacteristic of how they've been running because before that 14th at Andy 14th North Wilkesboro 14th at Atlanta 13th of Chicago 13th at Sonoma 22nd at San Diego, but 14th at Polkano 11th at Michigan. It's been a really long streak with just a few outliers. Really Iowa and San Diego being the two outliers for Austin Cinder. He's been on the top 14 and every other race all the way back to Michigan on June 7th. It's a pretty good run of Austin Cinder hanging around the top 10 performing well. Now we're coming to a track. He loves again. Blaney's a massive favorite for top finishing for. He should be the top Ford. But like we see every week. If he is not the top Ford, it opens that up a lot. Cinder could get it done. Plus 625. Andrew checking in the chat says he's late. Did he miss the car lift? You did not. You know, we save that for nearly and Andrew. Don't worry. We are. Yes, this for the car lift. If you have a guess who it might be.
Go ahead and submit that. Expert sucks as Bubba's picker who has the fastest stops. But he can't stay anywhere near the front. Well, yeah, I don't know. It's a combination of things. But I don't need him to be like to the front front. I just need him as a top 10. Sometimes that's not always the front. Like sometimes that's the middle of the track when everybody else is in front. So I don't care. Just need a top 10 at a bubble wall. So fast enough. All right. So listen, you talk about the fours and you talk about the Penske Ford. So I'm going to give you the Penske Ford that has the best average finish on this track. It's hard to ignore. Joseph Lagano. When again, our friends over at I fantasy race give us this fantastic little average finishing heat chart. And there's so much green. And literally, Joy Lagano is so green. I feel like I'm in Ireland, right? Joy Lagano wins in 2022. Now of course, right? This is the the first year for Gateway. So Joy Lagano wins everything that's brand new. So you might as well give that one to him anyways. Right? So you think, okay, great. But then he follows it up with a third place finish in 2023.
And a fifth place finish in not just 2024, but 2025 as well. He is four for four top five finishes on this track. Like I said, the average finishes 3.5. Well, Rod, why don't you go with the top three. Joy Lagano scares the shit out of me. Like I don't want to take the top three because I'm going to give Joey those extra two positions. He needed them the last couple of years to cash this bet. It's plus 125. And this is where I my my jaw dropped. Because the books have been so stingy on top 10 odds on these guys, but yet a guy that's finished four races inside of the top five gets plus money. Like this should be minus one 30 minus one 40. And I do believe that it actually maybe dropped a little bit. I don't remember if this is the one that dropped. I think I might have been Denny's actually. Yeah, you're right. So Joey's did not drop. Thankfully, but plus 125 for top five. I'm like, are you kidding me? This guy is five for five or four for four rather when it comes to top five finishes. And when you look at. When the race, their Sims have been finishing inside of the top five 36.1% of the time plus 177 is fair market value, but he has the fourth highest finisher in terms of top five percentages on the Sims and you know for joy.
The Gano it's even your joy, the Gano almost don't have to say any more than that. He won it Richmond right third at Indy one at North Wilkesboro had a ninth place at Darlington. So not really a top five there. But you know third at Martin'sville earlier on a short track. Right. It's just seventh at Bristol. It's joy, the Gano and it's even your joy, the Gano and that's that's really what this handicap is all about, but it's also about the fact that when you're good at this track and we said it like Darlington to when you're good at Darlington, you're good at Darlington. And we saw that play out last week. So if you're good at Gateway, if you're good at Gateway, it's just that's the only thing that you can lean on. If you're good at Gateway is that I'm good at Gateway enjoy the Gano obviously still in the thick of it still mathematically alive to win this thing. And why wouldn't you want to go and do that it's 2026, Joey, you know it's your year. So go out win a couple of races. This one being one of them and you're back in the mix. So give me joy, the Gano top five is all I need. But if you win, that's cool at plus 125 or on the score.
Yeah, like this bad. This is one of those races where, you know, some weeks, what Joe, you're going to get it. We questioned that last week, right? Like not good here in the spring. He's been good in the past. What's it going to be? You don't know. This is one of those weeks where Joe Gano's going to be good. We just know it because he's good every time we come here. This is his style. This is the Penske style. Those cars should be really good this weekend. Really all four Penske would brother cars should be really good this weekend. Blaney's one here. Laconos one here and syndrux one here, right? I think they've all three one here already. So, yeah, I mean, it's this is a very good track for them. Laconos going to show up. So I'll fully back you on this one as well, Rod. All right. Next up to the tiny factor markets. We're going to start with top Chevy. Let me chase Elliott plus 450 over on the score. I like chase Elliott to do this because well, Captain shook can be Captain shook any given week, right? We know that an Elliott last year was the top finishing Chevy in this race with a third place run. Pat himself a great day. You know, as I started to do my research, I came in with the thought of, wow, chase Elliott's been really bad here in the past and everything.
I started looking at it and I was like, well, that was that's what it was early on, right? But he's gotten better as we mentioned earlier and I think you can get it done. So going to take him again at the number. It's right. Larsen heavy faith rich should be the best Chevy. We get that. But oftentimes steps on it and that's how it goes. So chase Elliott plus 450. Then Carson, OSVAR at 10 to 1 again. Really, OSVAR was definitely in contention for the car lift this week. I will say didn't make the car lift this week, Rod, but he was the next best guy for the car lift because he's been so good at this track. Again, that run filling in for Cori, the joy that was so impressive. The eighth place finish a decent run with 15th place last year. Again, Carl, Larsen something happens. OSVAR can be there and he was last week. Larsen finished was a fifth place top Chevy. OSVAR was the next best Chevy in the 11th place. Sometimes that's all you need to be the top guy. Then I went to the top Toyota market. I looked at the rules. What do I do when we come to the top Toyota market? The rules say you have to take the longest odds for Joe Gibbs racing driver. Well, there's two guys tied to my favorite guys to bet on. So I'm taking both of them. It's tie Gibbs. It's chase risk. Oh, plus 625 each. Sign me up. I mean,
have we watched any racing at all ever like it. They just they both show up look good and do it weekend and week out. This is chase risk. Go style of racetrack. Second place run here last year in his first year with Joe Gibbs racing talked about earlier with the top five bet how well he's been running weekend and week out. Super fast car again last week. And then for tie Gibbs again dangerous for the rest of you because he's already been good here 10th and 11th place runs the last two years. And we're coming off of great runs. He could have won last week. He does win at Iowa. You know, when a Bristol earlier this year and he's just been running good weekend and week out. Yes, Danny Amman's a big favorite in this group. Yes, Christopher Bell should be really good. And any given week, you can be any of these J.G.R. Toyota's take the two longest ones. This is hit for us a ton this year. Just going with the longest one and we're going to get both of them in this case. So chase brisco plus 625. Tag Gibbs plus 625 top Toyota. Outstanding. I do. Like I said, that rule is definitely made more money than it's lost this year. Acrimos one saying made a few racks from hitting on my C. Bell outright top Toyota and Josh Barry top 10. So good job.
Good. That's there. I don't think I've seen you in the chapter. For so great to see you glad you're here. Yeah, stay tuned. We want to be talking about some of those guys coming up. Absolutely. And then of course, Andrew is guessing a syndic lift. So I'm a syndic lift. Yes, there's been a joy. Legano lift. Yes. With with hunter there. So you'll find out when we get to my next box, friends. Will indeed I will tell you that it's not Denny Hamlin. Denny Hamlin. I've got him as a top three. That's a hard car lift to accomplish. It really is to not like top three top Toyota win. I guess is how you would go with that. But not not Denny Hamlin. Because the top 10 was like minus 175 or something like that or minus two. I don't even remember what it was. It was terrible. But Denny Hamlin top three. This one even dropped as I so I had it initially. I think it was a plus one 70 on the score when I had it in the in the initial dock. But it dropped to plus one 50 just before because I like to update him just before we get on the show just to make sure that the most accurate odds as we're taping. Obviously by the time it comes, it could be back down to 125. Who knows. But Denny Hamlin top three as we record plus 150 over on the score right now.
And my saying is this if I punch a three times in the face, are you going to stand there and wait for the fourth? No, you're going to duck. Well, Denny Hamlin has finishes of second, second and first in the last three races at Gateway. His 34th place finish was the only bad finish in 2022 on that first race in there. And I didn't even bother to look and see why it was such a bad finish because I don't care because when you rebound for a second second in a first place finish, you're doing something right. Right. And honestly, you don't need me to sit here and read you Denny Hamlin's finishes over the last few weeks or even over the last season. Just know that Denny Hamlin first and foremost is pissed. You could tell by his podcast last or this last week's podcast where, you know, obviously he watched not a sizable lead but a lead sort of slip away. Right. He had a couple of rough goes in that race. And that team's not going to stand for it, especially on a track that he just won and had two second place finishes. There's no room for error for Denny Hamlin. They're going to come back out.
They've got their notebooks full of what to do at worldwide technology and how to get around this track. He can't afford to let another race go. Right. He's got to step it up. He's got to be in the mix for a win. And to be in the mix for the win, you come up short. Well, that's the top three finish for Denny Hamlin. And again, plus money for a guy that's done this three consecutive times. I get it. Anything can happen. You can get taken out by a fire motor sports car. You can have a bad pit stop. There's so many things that can each alive. But he's been able to outlast those the last three times. I think you can do it again. I think Denny Hamlin's a store for a top three finish. And like I said, a plus 150. The price is right. Hard argue with this. Obviously, it's Denny Hamlin had a great season. Should keep it up. The only thing you have to worry about. Play off Denny Hamlin. That's exactly it. Right. It's scary. It's scary. He's a lot like Josh Allen. Really, really good in the regular season. And then he sucks in the playoffs. But who knows?
I'm sorry. You pronounced Jim Kelly a little differently. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All Buffalo bills. So either way, fresh on the mind. Hacker most saying that he's been here playing times. It hasn't been here in a while. Yeah. We'll welcome back then. I'm glad you're here. Exactly. So we're all bringing in a bubble walless car lift. Guess. Well, I guess it's time to reveal around this week's car lift. So we will go to Cody's car lift. Welcome in to Cody's car lift this week. I said it might talk and you know, get it right. You were all wrong. And I don't know, Rod. If you remember 1976 NASCAR, you might. I know you're pretty old. But in 1976, the silver fox himself, David Pearson only started in 23 races, but he won 10 of them. And he was the last driver for the wood brothers to have six straight top 10 finishes in 1976. Now a guy who's not even good enough to drive for them in Josh Barry. He's been fired.
And they're giving us good numbers on Josh Barry. He's got six straight. He's going for seven straight top 10 finishes. He's going to get it done this week. This was the first thing I put in the dock this week. The Josh Barry car lift. I'm in. I'm buying all the Barry stock. Once again, cyclist for us gone. We don't have to worry about it anymore. The berries are fresh. The berries are delicious. Let's go. Give me Josh Barry top 10 plus 130 over on bet 365. You can get his top five four to one over on the score. Top finishing four. It's seven to one on the score. Get him to win outright at 30 to one. Carlip to doing well here lately. We're going to keep it rolling this week. What is Josh Barry done a gateway. Well, Rod. Two very impressive finishes. They finished on the same spot in both races. 36. He got wrecked out in both races, but it doesn't matter because he's on a streak. This is his type of track. This is the place he should run well and who's run great here. Brad kesel. Not Brad kesel. Not Brad kesel. We talked about that earlier. I was thinking the two car Austin Cindrick the much better driver currently actually a playoff driver. Austin Cindrick has run really well here.
Penske prepared car Ryan Blaney has run really well here. Penske prepared car. Joey Ligano has run really well here. Penske prepared car. Josh Barry is in a Penske prepared car. Oh, and by the way, he is the newest driver. He is the newest driver for legacy motor club Jimmy Johnson the goat the seven time champion. Yes, get your get your pinky in the air as you say legacy motor club. But he's living high right now, right? This is a great time to be Josh Barry. He's got nothing to lose. We're not racing for points. We're not right. He's got his job figured out. He's just say the cup series. Keep Dale Juner's championship hopes alive, I guess. But it's Josh Barry friends. He's been really, really strong, especially down the stretch here lately at a lot of tracks that you can pull comparisons from. Give me the Josh Barry car lift and listen, I you know that I've been a big JRM fan slash Josh Barry fan over the last few seasons as well, just watching him try to get his footing. And then now that he's got his footing. It's just like look out. Right. Look out. There's no track that's safe from Josh Barry.
Well, and again, like to to the point of it takes guys time to figure it out. Maybe we're to that point where he's starting to figure it out where a couple seasons in right and. And he had that flash. You wins a Las Vegas. Then he goes to Kansas. I was there in the spring, right? He was so fast. And then we just kept falling for it and it wasn't. But now we're in this run of tracks that are so good for him. So good for their cars. The Penske. You know, four cars really. And he is just running lights. I mean, they haven't had think of all the people have driven for the wood brothers over the years. The longest running team in the sport. And David Pearson in 1976 was the last driver to finish in the top 10 this many in a row. He's got all the momentum in the world. He's got nothing to lose. You know, and he's going to toyota. Are they going to start taking stuff away from what are they going to take away from? It's not like he's getting that much anyways. And they already knew he was leaving because they fired him. It's not like they think he's so good. We can't lose him. Like they fired him. They didn't want him anymore. So give me Josh Barry. Got the stamp of approval from Hunter. I'll take it says Josh Barry will be up front again. I agree with you.
Josh Barry, by the way, 10th overall in momentum score over on when the race with 84. I feel like that number should be a little bit higher. But yeah, it's that's Josh Barry or bust lately. So all right. Listen, I hate yellow. So emotional hedges are the way to go. And in this week, I looked at some of the props. I was looking at you know the lapse lead and the drivers to lead a lap and how many laps are driving us looking at all those. And I didn't really find a pattern that I liked until I got to the cautions. And I was like, oh, well, this is beautiful because Caesar's is setting the cautions the total number of cautions in the race at nine and a half. I'm taking the over at this one. This is at minus 110 over on Caesars. We've been over a let our nine cautions. So we've been at 10 cautions or more in three out of the four races in this track's history last year. There was exactly 10 cautions for 52 laps in 2024. There were only five cautions, but there's still 32 laps. Riddle me that Batman. And then in 2023, there were 11 cautions for 67 laps. And in 2022, there were 10 cautions for 53 laps. So we've had at least 10 cautions in three out of the four races on this track. And now that we've got the chase going on.
There's a lot more people will take a lot more risks. Now we've got this this new package that they're running on this track that they haven't ran before. And now we're going to get a lot of people probably feeling a lot more gutsy as they enter the corner, having to use a lot more break. And we're getting a lot more people squirrely sideways and underneath people with the wrong time lazily tapping into people because they can't drive. There's going to be a lot of that stuff going on. And I feel like we're going to have a few more people taking a few more risks than necessary. And again, the biggest reason why you take these caution bets is because in case five or six pop up in a 12 lapspan, you're thinking yourself outstanding. I'm halfway there. And we've got a couple of stage cautions to fill in the blank. So yeah, you may hate cautions. I hate cautions. But if they make you money, they really hate them that much. And this is why I bet against Nebraska corners, because every single week, Rod, because I'm happy either way. So I do, I do love a good emotional edge. So yeah, like, hey, this is your specialty area. I got to, I got no arguments against it.
Beautiful. Like I said, three out of four times, it just, if it happens, if it doesn't happen again, I'll be happy because we'd get a clean race. But if it doesn't, then I'll be happy because we catch this bet. So all right, Cody, somebody's got to win this race, my friend. Who's happy right now? First of all, Marcus, because this guy won for him last week, but also Christopher Bell, because he finally got back to victory lane. Why not two weeks in a row? I love Christopher Bell this week. I think the fact that he got that monkey off his back and we've seen it time after time. But once you start winning, they just roll in. He's plus 450 over on hard rock. I think he is the guy to beat this week. The books agree is the favorite. He's run really well here in all the races. Hasn't finished worse than 11th, two years ago in this race, pretty dominating effort, led 80 laps, swept the stages, then had that late issue. I think there was a fuel issue and Cinder got around him and ends up getting the win. But he's been really good and we're coming off of him winning yet again. Right. And we're coming off of really good runs. He, you know, he's leading late at Iowa and finished a second to tie Gibbs. There he wins last week. He's fourth in New Hampshire with another great run. Second at Indie, second at Iowa. Like I mentioned, North Wales, it was definitely a bit of a tough day, but he's had all these good runs.
Nashville, you draw some comps to that track here. A second place finish there. All these second places, but finally getting back in victory lane. The most momentum in the world for this guy is feeling on cloud nine. 12 points behind Denning Hamlin. Chase, or Christopher Bell, rather, should feel like the chase is his to win right now. He's already put himself in a good position. Put your head down and go get it. This is his style of track. You think of a shorter, flatter track. Again, it's not a short track. It's bigger, but it runs like one. This is a great place for Christopher Bell. Gonna take him plus four 50. Chase, briskos 12 to one. I don't know how many times I have to say it all year, but if you're gonna keep giving me this number on this fast of the car, this talented of a driver. We're going to continue to take it. He finished second place here last year. He was probably the fastest and best car last week. And you're still giving him to us a 12 to one on hard rock. It's insane. Same thing with tie Gibbs. One of the fastest cars finished second place last week already been here 14 to one on Fandall.
What are we doing? Why do you keep giving us these numbers? I'm not complaining. Please keep doing it. But you have to bet on tie Gibbs to win. Again, this week he's proven he can win multiple times. He's gotten really close to winning again last week. Runs well. He's, you know, he's been running really good at these short. Tracks here lately, especially that's where his two wins have come Bristol and Iowa. This one runs like a short track. You could see that happened in again this week. So 14 to one. I think the numbers too good. And the guy you talked about earlier, bubble wall is. I don't mind the top 10, but for me with bubble wall is. It's all or nothing. So I'm just gonna take him to win the 30 to one. I think that he could show up at this type of track. He was really good here last year. He actually won stage two. He led 73 laps and had a really strong day. Eight place finish. That's his really first good result here. The other ones have not been very good. But he's run well enough down the stretch here with some good runs and fast cars. We saw it last week. Had a good run in eight place. Then run second place in New Hampshire. Those two things right there are really what sold me. Also six place in North Wilkes, where I was six place at Chicago.
Some really good runs third place at Michigan. I mean that's not going to say Diego. He's had a lot of almost wins this season at 30 to one. Maybe he's too aggressive. Maybe something goes wrong. Maybe the picker goes too fast and makes a mistake. I don't know, but they can also put him in position. He can put himself in position. He's had the speed that we're looking for. And again, like he'll be my pick for the 23 11 cars this week in the draft game. I win the race. And I think you could win this race at, you know, win the race. Win the race. I like it. 30 to one for Bell. By the way, 100, a perfect momentum score heading into this and tops on the chart for win the race. Info. So plus he is also second highest average finisher on this track in its history. So 8.5 for Christopher Bell. And again, right. You ride the hot hand. This guy is now on on a heater because he finally won. I say eater because when you're when you're up to bat and you're, you know, not hitting very well. And then all of a sudden you hit a home run.
You're feeling really good. So Christopher Bell. He's got eight top two finishes this year. Rod. I mean, that's pretty damn good. Right. Really damn good. All right. So listen, because when the race also has Christopher Bell as the tide pretty much tied with Denny Hamlin 14.8% of the time in the Sims. They're winning this race. So I'm taking any Hamlin. I mean, honestly, I talked about him earlier when I was talking about him as a top three. He's five to one to win this race. Fair market is plus 5.74. So you're getting him in and around. Fair market. But, you know, I was reading off all the stats for Denny Hamlin second, second and first. What's to stop him from winning again? He's got all. He's got all the motivation in the world to win this race again. Like I said, he's pissed off. He just he knows it. His team could have done better last week and put him in a better position. Heading into the second race of the chase. And so they're going to come out swinging. It's it's win. I think for me. I'm if I'm hearing Denny correctly. Through all of his socials and all of his everything that he's got his mentality right now, because he's on this is probably the best chance he's had in a long time to actually win a championship, right? His first and ever only championship.
You don't think he's going to go for broke and try to win every single race. I get it right. That's cliche to say everybody wants to win every single race. Yes. But there are different levels of motivation for every driver out there about wanting to win this race. This is life or death for Denny Hamlin. This is his legacy. He may not get another shot like this. To win the championship and and be in the cat bird seat to do so. So he's got to scheme this up. He has got to run perfectly. He's got to do everything correctly. And for Denny Hamlin, when all of that stuff happens, it usually turns out as a win. We saw him rip it off in the middle of the year, right? Take a huge chunk out of Tyler, and then past Tyler, for the lead of the points. So Denny Hamlin is a driver that should be able to win this race. And he has a driver that has won this race and you should be able to do it again. Five to one because of what you've given Christopher Bell as the favorite, especially coming off of this is a very generous price for the guy that's had three second place finishes in a row and a win at this track.
So give me Danny Hamlin at five to one. That's pretty much everywhere. There's a lot of different places you can find him at five to one. Most books agree that he's about a five to one favorite to win. So yeah, give me Danny Hamlin. Again, I know that it's chalky. I get it. It's probably like, oh, great analysis, Rod. But when you look at these average finishes and you look at the drivers that have populated the top 10, this is not a very easy race to pick the winner for because there's a lot of guys. Well, especially, especially between the big three favorites, right? Like Bell, Blaney, Hamlin is splitting hairs between the three of them this week. It's really that close and Blaney. We couldn't work him in the car anywhere, which I'm scared about a little bit. He should be really good here this week as well. I wanted his top five, but the number was horrendous. Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's, yeah, you either have to bet him to win or you have to bet the top three. And we filled those up with other guys. And so, but yeah, it's certainly not easy to pick of the favorites this week. I will note, we gave out six total outright five of them Toyota. Toyota should be pretty good this week. I think is what was what we're seeing. Willow says he hopes buried isn't fall off the car lift this week.
Even me both will also one of the scary car lifts, but hey, Sammy Smith worked out for us last week. So we're just going to keep on rolling. Yeah, if you can find a Toyota to win the race. If any books start offering that, that might be a good. If it's a good number, I would take it. It's not, it's not. I saw it somewhere earlier. I didn't see it. And it was, I think it was draft Kings that had it. And I think it was, I'll see if I can pull it up quickly, but it was not a very good number because I, I picked that it and then. But the Ford should be really good to. And so that's where I didn't want to full commit to Toyota because the Ford's could potentially be really good to. So I'm not sure what book that was. It was. That's right. Well, okay, if you could find it at a better number, it's probably worth sprinkling something to them and Ford. I'm not sure Chevy's going to take home a win in this one. So. Yeah, this is a tough one for Chevy. And that like that's kind of what turned me off of even getting on host of our for the out. Like host of our encinder for the two guys. I left off the outright card that I wanted to get on the outright card. But again, you can only do so much before it's an issue. It's minus 125. By the way, for Toyota.
That's not too bad on the score. So not terrible. Ford's a two to one Chevy's a plus 350, which might be really short for Chevy actually. I think it is. I think it's a little bit generous for for them. But. All right, get out to pen and paper time to go over our bets for this. Enjoy Illinois 300. I started you off with Chase Elliott over William Byron at plus 110. Austin bubble wall. So the top 10 car at plus 110. Joy the gun. Oh, top five at plus 125 Dennis hamlin top three plus 150. I'm saying that there's going to be over nine and a half cautions at minus 110 and giving you Denny hamlin as the outright at five to one. Cody started his card off with Tyrone Gibbs over Tyler, reddit at minus 130. Taking Carson, Oh, so far over Brackazowski in the grudge match at minus 110. Chase brisco top five at plus 220 Carson, Oh, so far top 10 at plus 250 Daniel Suarez top 10 plus 450 Austin Dylan top 10 at six to one Austin, Cindrick top 10 at plus 130 tossing in Cindrick as the top four to plus 625 Elliott as the top Chevy at plus 450. Host of our at 10 to one as the top Chevy chase brisco plus
625 tie Gibbs plus 625 as the top Toyota riding the Josh Barry car lift, eat those berries kids just not the ones of the kids eight in the in the catching fire the hunger games series. Those are those are poisonous, but top 10 plus 130 top five plus 400 top four seven to one and to win 30 to one is outrides include Christopher ballot plus for 50 brisco at 12 to one Gibbs at 14 to one Wallace at 30 to one to win this race. My daughter's been watching the hunger games stuff and they were eating those poisonous berries and I just thought about that real quick as I was reading those off. Got watch out for those poisonous berries, but boy you find them good berries rod and they're good berries. I love good berry. Like I said, man, I'm you know that I've been a berry fan like I would since he came up through Xfinity, I've been a berry fan. So yeah, I've mostly not been a berry fan, but it's just still good to pass up right now.
It's a hard hard berry to swallow, but all right. Well, we back tomorrow we've got plenty more to break down in this weekend at worldwide technology. And then of course we'll finish out the week with DFS and there is some F1 correct. We've got F1 as well. Yep, F1 will talk on on Thursday with the DFS episode. But yet tomorrow all a ride all the time, a lot of full a ride the episode. Let's see if there's a car left to be cooked up out there. But yeah, did well with Sammy Smith last week and of course it in Sheldon Creed as the win. So I like it Marcus likes blueberries, by the way. I maybe just very will be a blueberry this week and Marcus will just keep the win and streak alive. Yeah, I mean, listen, I do I've actually grown fond of blueberries lately. So my wife's getting me to eat more vegetables, which is to say I'm eating or fruits and vegetables. I was going to say berries berries are probably my favorite vegetables if we're going to be honest, right? If they're included all all gladly take berries as my favorite vegetable.
Maybe I'm not eating enough of any of that because if you're just going senile, I might have had the bad berries, I guess. I need me to go to bed at this point. Grandpa's getting a little bit tipsy, but all right, listen, we'll say good night now. And we'll get you set up for the O'Reilly. Remember when there was a craftsman truck series? That was a lot of fun back in the day. Next week Bristol, it's Bristol, baby. So finally the truck series will be back from there. F1 style hiatus. Seriously, they took a long summer vacation. It took their summer break. Yeah. All right, well, we're going to take a break and we'll catch you guys tomorrow with the O'Reilly Auto Parts series, but in the meantime, Cody, let everybody know where they can find you out in this big old world of ours.
