So that means I still have a job. If you came here looking for ball, tough luck. I ain't no wally pimp. I'm sure you enjoyed his moment in the sun, but it's my time to shine again. And more importantly, it's time for the empire to shine. So let's get into the empire. What's up, gentlemen? Seems like you all had a big week while I was gone. Draft in a prime time and some little thing they call the legacy league. How is everybody doing today? Fantastic. We did have a big week. We filled in admirable for you. Shout out to Spatari for holding it down on two shows last week for you.
You did a great job. And now back to a regular, regular, scheduled program. Yeah, definitely. We really appreciate Paul being able to step in and do such a great job. So kudos to him. What a stand up guy, for sure. And the empire got the once, the number one pick in our prime time last week. That did. I hope you guys are happy with the finished product. Yeah, there was no, there was really no talk. I don't think they were too happy with it, man. They just got like one thumbs up. Nelson was in Vegas, partying with the guys. I don't know if he really cared to even review the team. But what did you think of it, Nelson? It was a good team. It was from the one hole. It was typically like something that I would build if I was doing it myself. So I was proud of you guys. Thank you, dad. I just want to make you proud. I don't want it to be loved. Is that so real? You got it, boys.
Thank you so much. No, I saw it. It looked great. Just had so much going on. Didn't really have time to do more than give it a pass in glance. But I was like, yep, that looks like a good team. So I love how you guys put it together. Do you have an action set up in the late Sanha? Dan, the Dan fro's up or the night freeze up? No, I think Dan fro's. Yeah, Dan fro's? Hi fro's. Yeah, there you are. Dan's dial up, as well as back. Yeah, seems like it. I don't know what's going on with my internet. I've been late, late, fast since I got the new internet. Today, it's really slow for some reason. Yep. All right, let's get into it. Yeah, let's. All right, so we got, let's start off with Josh Jacobs. I mean, obviously that's the big news of the weekend. I know a lot of people have our party think.
I think you're having technical issues, Dan. Yeah, I think Dan's struggling over here. So let's just keep it rolling here, boys. You guys doing it, Jacob? All right, Dan's out. Guys, obviously the Josh Jacobs news the last couple of days. I know we're a couple of days behind on it, obviously, but we have to touch on it. Nelson, Matt, you guys are drafting every day. What are you guys seeing on the board, what in terms of Lloyd moving up, obviously. And Jacob's falling into the of this, where he should be. Where do you guys see him on the board? And where do you think they should be on the board? Yeah, I have noticed in my drafts that Jacobs has gone anywhere from like ninth round, the earliest, down to like the 14th round. Someone's always willing to take him in that area.
And to be honest, I don't have too much interest in him, but where he goes in the 12th, 13th round, I'm totally fine taking a shot there. Because that player, if you have to cut him, is not hurting or impacting your team in the slightest. So I actually think that it's a good risk to take. And then on the other side, obviously, Lloyd has moved up. And it seems like consistently, he's been in the sixth round. And that's kind of where I pictured him and kind of where I had him myself personally. So I think he's going in the right range right now. Yeah, I mean, was it Sunday night? We did the live stream, crying time being pulled, feeling Dan were in it. They had the fourth pick. They took him six four. As Nelson said, I think that's the perfect range on Jacobs. I mean, he was a guy I was fading. I thought he was a lot more fragile before the legal issues.
Just with the wear and tear, he was injured last year, came at the camp behind an injury. And I thought Lloyd would have a role if healthy, not just be a handcuff. So yeah, but the 14th round, like Nelson said, I don't see where you lose if you go there. You know, this video does drop. Yeah, I've kind of been playing it that way the last couple months. Lloyd, when I look at my player, Shaz is at the top of the page, my most own player for the last couple of months. I know you guys are in that camp as well. Matt, I saw you put out a tweet yesterday where you have over 20 shares. Nelson, I assume that you're heavily invested as well with Lloyd. You guys were also both out on Jacobs all summer long, right? I got one share with Sputeri at 5'11. Yeah, you know, guys just so they made me take him. So that is what it is. I think I have him on one team out of all of them. So he was pretty much a fade for me.
And now going forward with Jacobs, I agree with you, Nelson. I think, you know, I had one share at like 61 overall in an OLC, but I was going to be completely outfading him in the big monies on the line. Now it's an easy fade obviously, but now I would actually take some shots on him. Like you said, 12th, 13th round, just in case this winds up being a six week absence and even an eight week absence, you know, you look up and if you could carry him as a round 13 player or pick. And then in round, in week 10, maybe, Josh Jacobs comes back into the lineup after his suspension or whatever, you could do worse as your RB six or seven at the end. Isn't he kind of like the wide receiver Jordan Tyson? You know, we're here. Eight nine weeks where we're assuming. And it looks like if there's a video he's done, he's just using his fingers. I wanted to add that as well, man. I honestly think my opinion is he's done.
He's toast. That's the way I've been looking at the situation. I felt that there was going to be a suspension coming, but now with all the news and then putting him on the exempt list, I don't think he ever gets back in a Packer's uniform. That's just my, that's the way I'm going about it. But, you know, like I said, in round 12, 13, 14, you want to take a shot now and hope for the best, then fine, it doesn't hurt you at all. Yeah. I agree. Yep. What's up, Dan? Get back. And Dan's not back. Are you on mute? Hey, I think so. I hope so. We'll find out. Yeah. We just wrapped up the Lloyd Jacobs talk. I wanted to jump into Malik neighbors, the news, but yesterday. Everybody's running for cover guys. You know, I just wanted to go around the horn, see how you all feel about it.
You know, he does this interview where I think we've all been drafting him as if it was, he was a safe, a safe can be now going into the season. We see the video clips on a daily basis. He looks like old Malik neighbors to me. The more I saw him in this last month in practice, and the way he was moving, he started moving up more and more on my board to the point where I'll take him in the early second round in that cluster of receivers after AJ Brown comes off the board. But for me, Who's on show where a smart guy said that Malik neighbors was going to move up in the draft to like early second round? Yeah. You guys recalled what show that was? I don't know, but was that a dream from Matt Modica, an early August? Yeah. When he took him in the prime time. I can't put my finger on it right now. Well, all right. So let me throw it to you guys. This is why he's a little bit.
The fact that he doesn't say like, hey, I'm 100% ready to go. And I'll be there week one. I just want to give one quote from a famous actor that we all long. Oh, here we go. Go ahead, man. Movie time. Stop being nervous. When he tells the women in good fellows, I think he's ready. I think what he was saying was just natural stuff. He hasn't been hit yet. He hasn't been in a game. You know, that is worrisome. But I'm going to continue to take that angle. I think with Malik neighbors, you're talking about a guy that the first couple of weeks of the season, it's going to him trusting that leg and trusting, getting hit and tackled and stuff like that. It's going to take a couple of weeks for that. And I think that the talk and the interview was I was fine with it. The key to the whole thing where I would get nervous
is if he has a setback in practice. So if he's practicing and then all of a sudden they say, hey, you know, with the, he's got some swelling going on or whatever, we're right around the corner for the season. That's what's going to set him back. Now we're talking like shit. All right, he's probably out a few weeks. Like he's he's not going to make it. So right now, I think Bobby. I have like, I have a week neighbors. Now I know we're all in best of now. But now's the like question here. Matt, let me just ask this question real quick. Did that interview yesterday not change your mind at all? Or did it say to you, if you have him ranked over London and Alave, maybe in that area, does it say, ah, push them up? I'm going to push neighbor. I'm going to be a little more cautious. Push neighbors back behind these guys a little bit to where, if you were being aggressive on neighbors and you wanted to take them 14th overall, 15th overall, if you want to, does it say to you now,
maybe I'll go at London and Alave now instead of or one of the running backs instead of neighbors. And if neighbors is there and the second round, I'll pull the trigger. But if not, I don't know. I want somebody that's full blown. You know, I took it the same way Matt he did, honestly. Everybody started like freaking out a little bit. It's not what you want to hear. You want to hear neighbors cut step to their podium and be like, I'm full blown ready. Can't wait for week one. You know, but now you start worrying about limited snaps maybe early in the season. What's going on? Step backs and stuff like that. Maybe it pushes them back a little bit in that second round. So that's really what I want to know from you guys. My question was, if I took neighbors in the second round, I'm more apt to get that extra receiver earlier. You know, I'm usually going, you know, dependent upon where I'm picking from at the board. You know, maybe a four wide start or, you know, if I got to hear or running back, you know,
instead of just going three wide receivers in a row, I'll take, you know, that extra wide receiver. That's my philosophy on it. But I don't know if you guys are different. Yeah, what are you guys doing if it comes out that he's going to be on a snap counter, something like that? Are you going to be starting in week one if you've got solid options? Or are you just going to say, you know what, it's neighbors? I'm going with it. I'd be starting him. He's, you know, he's my second round pick at worst early third round. Some people are snatching him at, but if I pull the trigger in either the second or third round, he's in my lineup. So even if he plays, you know, 70% of snaps in that offense with not much else, he's going to get targeted when he's on the field. So it's kind of like a Tucker craft thing. Everybody's, oh my God, he's going to be limited. He could sit on this island when he, when they want to run the ball. But when you come back on the field, you make sure you hit him pepper in with targets. I mean, I mean, my game plan would be if I'm drafting neighbors later in the draft,
I'm targeting Malachi fields and adding him to the team because I look at it as, it's not the same replacement. I get it. We're not comparing apples to apples. The kids are rookie. We have no idea what to expect from them. But I think that's like a good, a decent insurance policy as opposed to your drafting neighbors and then you change up your whole draft process because now you're trying to draft an earlier, uh, wide receiver rather than just take, you know, the running back or whatever position is there. So I'd be looking to ensure him later on in the draft. I mean, I look at it when he said to me, this is how I basically took it. You know, he needs to be punched in the face. Like he needs to be hit. He's just saying, you know, I haven't done these things. I didn't see my body is going to react, which sounds all normal to me. Yes, there's this risk. He's always been risking this picking the second, third round, you know, all that. But I'm willing, I think the reward is so good.
As far as snap counts go, like you mentioned, tuck a craft a week or so ago, he was going to be on a limited snap count the other day. There's no more snap count for him. That's out the window from what I've heard. And if the giant illusion, I think the snap counts out the window as well. Matt, okay. That's that's pretty good. I'm fine with that with neighbors. I'm going to continue to draft them in the second round. And we'll go from there. I just want to back up real quick, because the one question I didn't ask on the March on Lloyd things, are you now comfortable drafting March on Lloyd in that late fifth, sixth round range, whereas or are you satisfied with the shares that you have at a high stakes level at the 10th round price, 11th round price, because it's different to look at your teams and have March on Lloyd as your R before and be happy with it. But now that the price is new and it's in the sixth round, around 60, 60, and you have to start them pretty much as your
R B 2 or on a heavy wide receiver bill, maybe even your R B 1 now, are you comfortable taking him now in the sixth round, new price guys? But let me start on that because we took him in the prime time. We did Thio and I did on Sunday. We took him at the 604. And that was something that we kind of talked about. Were we comfortable with it? Were we not comfortable with it? Had it not been a prime time? I don't think we would have taken them there. Just because of the fact that there's been so many OCEs drafted, you go to other contests, there's been so many leagues drafted already, but with the prime time, there haven't been that many leagues drafted as of that point in time anyway. So I felt a little bit more comfortable, you know, not feeling like I was giving a huge edge to the rest of the field. Okay, was that your R B 2 though? R B 2, yeah. Okay. I mean, I look at it as just drafting these other, what I call home run swing running backs in the end of the fifth, middle of the sixth,
you can still draft it backwards. You know, I'm a, I'm a, I become a Mason bull. I wasn't when I first started drafting with a guy like Jordan Mason or, you know, no one's ever excited to hit the button on JK Dobbins, but I'm, I'll do that, especially for the early part of the season. I don't know, you know, how long he can last. Hopefully, you know, he lasts the season for once, but I think that's the way you can do it backwards. We've called it on the live streams building it backwards. So I don't think you're totally, you know, he has to be that week one starter. It's, it's a very appealing being the running back green back. It's a very good offense. We're very bullish on it this year. So that's my trick. Got you. All right. Sounds good. Shout out to Stevie G. Thank you. My hair looks pretty decent. I agree. Thank you. And definitely not as good as your Steve, but we roll on. All right. Dan, let's, let's get into it. Hopefully you're able to break.

All right, here we are. Let's get into the cut downs a little bit. This was a big weekend. A lot of cut downs, a lot of players moving around from team to team, whether they were cut, whether they were traded, whatever. So just curious for you guys, what were the most surprising moves you saw or any effect on former new teammates? You know, let's just kind of talk through the news of the weekend. Chris, is this going? Yeah, listen, all these cuts and, you know, players being put on IR to start the season. I thought it was a really interesting day around the league and I don't want to say, like, switched up the draft board drastically, but when you get into that 125 to 200 range, I think there was, you know, a significant amount of changes that you're going to see going forward. And let's start off with, I want to combine the Dallas backfield and the Kansas City Chiefs backfield.
Okay. Jadon Blue, who is my second most-owned rostered player throughout the camp, throughout summer. He gets cut. Okay. And that moves. Malik Davis up to the two hole. The chiefs go and cut Amari DiMarcato getting him out of the way to clear up Emmett Johnson, who I think now Emmett Johnson is one of those guys that people are going to, is going to be a really popular pick and that 120 to 140 overall is one of those top handcuffs. Now that DiMarcato is out of the way in Kansas City, DiMarcato then goes to Dallas. So now all the people that were excited about Malik Davis maybe as a locked in RB2, DiMarcato could factor in. I always thought DiMarcato was a decent PPR back out of the backfield. So right there, those couple changes of those two backfields, I think were the most significant to me. I have others, but I want to see if the boys it on those as well.
Yeah, those were, those were my top two as well. And Blue basically ending up on the Eagles where he, you know, it's hard to see him having any sort of impact whatsoever. I mean, you know, if you've got Blue on your team, that's the easiest gut in the world. Just crazy. Think about that, man, right? Because Jaden Blue was one of the top handcuffs of the summer. Like people were in love with him, drafted. They were taking him one-third round. I was taking him one-third round. But I was drafted, like I said, I have 20 plus Lord, I have 20 plus Blue. Yeah, he's still my boy Blue. Yeah, well, that's it, but that's why you keep doing that kind of stuff because, you know, you got that 20 plus Lloyd along with the 20 plus Blue. So that's how that, I saw that tweet, and it's so accurate. Like, you know, somehow we both wound up with the most shares of Blue and Lloyd. I'll take that trade off anything. I'll throw my blue shares out for all my Lloyd shares. You know, Dan, I don't, I want to get right back to you, but, you know, it's impression of my head.
The Lloyd, the three significant, when you look back on draft season, has to be the three significant, you know, changes on the board. Have to be the rise of Marshawn Lloyd, those with the biggest winners, the people that got struggling early in draft season to move, and now at a seventh round price, a sixth round price, that's the second biggest winner, and the third biggest winner has to be the people that were drafting neighbors in the fourth and fifth round. Now that he's a second or third, is there anybody else other than those three that came out of the last three months as the biggest draft winners on the board? I mean, I could have chewed that had nice moves. DJ Moore is now moved up to, you know, mid-third in some, he usually goes to three, four, turn early, but he was going like, end of the fourth, early fifth, and the other running back would be Swift, who was going like late fifth with Monty and those characters now middle of the fourth. What's going
to be really interesting is there are leagues out there that were Marshawn Lloyd as a free agent. There are leagues out there where struggling is a free agent that were drafted early in the year. It'll be interesting to see what those guys go for on fab. I mean, I think strip cities going for over 700. I heard, I believe my boy Weber was telling me that there's a couple early OCs that Lloyd didn't get drafted. Yeah, that's what I was just saying. I'm in one of them. Oh really? Yeah. That's an 800 plus. I'm going to throw that out there. Yeah, I think at that point, it's like how high over 900 do you want to go? I mean, you know, how short do you want to leave yourself the rest of the day? We got the Fab Whisper over here. Yeah, that's it. That's it. This is going to be burning the midnight oil. This is the next week here putting all those fab targets and money together for a summer's long list. Absolutely. Listen, what I always tell people context
matters. Okay. So team roster build and construction matters. Okay. What does your team look like? Are you telling me that you have Bijon Robinson and like Breast Hall on your team? Well, no, I'm not going to freaking bid $900 on Marshawn Lloyd. I'm going to put something competitive together if he can play in my flex or something like that. But if I've got two legit running backs, it matters as far as the bit. Now, if you're telling me that like you have, I'm trying to think of like who's who's a guy that like got injured or like really? Yeah, it's all who else or you. Yeah, I'm thinking like no running backs, right? That's really other than you got love and genty who are love genty, Breast Hall, like, but those guys are all on the mend. You know, so
I guess like a zero running back team, right? That's the hope point of Marshawn Lloyd is. I don't feel that if you're a zero RV team and Lloyd's on your on your that's your target right there. So I think it all depends. You know, if you've got a really good competitive team, I think you need to be like in the 600 range. But if you've got a team that has really strong wide receivers and it's missing a running back, you're in the 900 range. Yeah. Well said. Yeah, I mean, it's crazy. I mean, I got a slow name from early June and my I have Higgins on the team, Pyrrho Sola Mooney. Thank God, I have. Oh, I have good receivers. I don't know those three guys are going. Guys, think about how much Fab we're going to be doing in the next week. It's Tuesday night. It's I'm going to be like team one in the in the legacy league. I'm going to have like 150 dollars.
All right. Thank you. All right. So yeah, well, Chris took my main two. I think deem a crata to the Cowboys. You know, obviously that opens things up for him at Johnson. You know, it makes you wonder how much Bashar Smith is going to factor in as a receiver there. You know, he's not somebody I feel like I got a draft, but he's certainly somebody I got my eye on. You know, after week one, let's see what things look like. See how the team comes out. But other than that, I think in this wasn't really a cut or anything else. But the Zach Erts rumors to Philadelphia. I don't think that's great for Stowers. If you've been a Stowers fan, which isn't too many people, I guess at this point in redraft, but it's not looking good for him. The trick is dead. Stowers is dead. You know, Zach Erts out of here. Yeah. He's still got a ramp up and stuff too. And I'm not worried about that. But that would make sense.
I have the same guys that you guys already touched based on. I got two. Yeah. I got two guys that were going to talk about our country Miller making the Saints. Look, when these guys on the field, he always looks good. I was listening to Nick Underhill. I believe that's how he's named. And he was saying he was going to get a lot of play like. So I started taking him. You know, it was just in the last whatever week, 10 days. And you know, with the Kamara injury, I know Kamara should be back early on, but, you know, he's getting dusty and old. And the other one was keeping Mitchell not going on the other way. Wait, wait, wait, wait, back up Matt. You forget Devin Neal that place on high-arts. That is correct, too. No, Kamara is going to start the season. They didn't put him on IR Kamara, but the rumor was he's going to miss the first month, right? There still is Estima as well. There is. That puts Kendra Miller in the RB2 hole. He's one ETN whole hamstring away from
me starting running back. And the job is looking at the 16th round. Like, so that's a major one, in my opinion, Matt, you hit on, but only about Devin Neal going on IR because he was going to factor in that four-man rotation a month ago. It was holy shit. ETN's got a deal with Kamara, Neal Miller. Well, now two of these four guys are gone and Kendra Miller is locked in as the RB2. So, go ahead. What's the other one? The other one was keeping Mitchell not going on the IR. And I believe the GM came out yesterday. You know, sometimes recently it was like, we didn't put him on the IR. That should answer your question. It was kind of like a brop with the beat or the reporter asking the question. Okay. All right. I'm surprised that nobody else mentioned. You left two that I wanted to touch on as well real quick. James Conner going to the IR. Now, James Conner's dust is short, but holy shit, talk about the Saints running back room. A month ago, we were talking about Jeremiah loves
got to compete with Conner, Al-Jeeer, maybe even Trey Benson. Well, they ship Trey Benson out. He's gone. James Conner goes to the IR. Jeremiah Love might miss early part of the season. Where are we drafting Tyler Al-Jeeer here for early season? Who's a better, if you draft Ashton Gentie or even Jeremiah Love? How far up do you want to move Tyler Al-Jeeer here early in the season? He could get a solid two, three weeks start where he's got the whole backfield to himself. That's a draft strategy that has to be put into play here that people I think are overlooking the last couple nights with Al-Jeeer. Maybe I'm overblowing this. You guys tell me, but to me that's perfect. I think that's perfect. That's an age-o. I was surprised that ADP-wise in the prime times, Al-Jeeer hasn't really moved up at all. Yeah. He's just, you know, and guys like, you know, Mike Washington or jumping him. I'm like, I don't really see why that means. I think he's not moving up because
you had the coach basically say that, you know, Love is looking really, really good and that most drafters are expecting Love to be ready week one. So, you know, when that happens, Al-Jeeer just kind of goes by the wayside, you know, not really a fun, you know, pick, basically. I mean, it's still like Al-Jeeer, but I'm with Nelson. I think Love is maybe if he misses a game, I think that's it. And again, I think this defense is trashed. It did nothing to do it. And he's going to be the die-catch and passes when they're, you know, trailing in second hand. I mean, at worst he's going to be a solid backup running back on that team. Yeah. I like him. And 12 cadres. You know what I mean? So, that's one that sticks out to me. And then, you know, I just want to get this one out too. Tank Delwin on IR. And everybody might be like, well, who gives a shit, you know, but Tank Del going on IR, you know, I think that really opens up this office for two nice
picks later on in drafts. And that's K-Shambuity. And Dalton Shultz, I'll keep hammering the Dalton Shultz train here. This guy still is getting drafted in the 18th and 19th round. Dalton Shultz is a statue. I get it. But man, latent drafts, if you need some tight end help, he shouldn't be going in the 18th, 19th round. You know, he could catch six balls for 70 yards on a weekly basis. Someone's going to be the number two to Nico Collins. It could easily be Shultz until K-Shambuity ramps up a little bit. Del's gone, Higgins is gone, obviously. The offense of, you know, the tree isn't that big in Houston. What about Noel? I mean, he's, he's rang up to though, right? Man, never is it a serious injury. I just think the Dalwin thing he's probably going to play week one is what it sounds like. I think he's talented. I haven't been drafting him, but I think he's really talented. Yeah, I agree. Okay. I don't know. Those were all mine that stood out. I thought it was a more
significant day than maybe some thought. No, it definitely was. I think the guy that got a nice boost before the GM came out, but even still was Vidal. Yeah. If something happens with Mitchell, that it is more, you know. Yeah. Yep, yep, yep. All right. Okay. Let's move on and talk a little bit about draft boards before we get into the legacy board and the prime time board just in general. What are you guys seeing over the past week or so as drafts? Obviously, some changes we've been talking about that have happened since, you know, cut down a weekend and all that. But how's your strategy evolving? Either in general or if there's things you're doing differently from a specific slot on the board? Let's hear about that. Chris, fire us off. I'm actually going to pass this over to Nelson. Nelson's more in the draft sheet streets on a nightly basis, drafting, you know, four or
five times a day. Nelson, why don't you, you know, you see more drafts right now than me or in them more this last couple days? I have my answer, obviously, but why don't you start us off here and see what you see significantly changing on draft boards right now? Yeah, I think that there's still a lot of teams that are willing to go running back heavy from the back end is what I noticed. And then they're willing to put the wide receiver room together in the next few rounds after that. I think with the genty news, you know, with like that scare or injury or whatever, that pushed him down a little bit and moved chase brown up. That seems to be like everyone's guy where he's going like 10th overall, basically on average and a lot of these main events. The other thing that I noticed too is the quarterbacks have moved up just a little bit.
But it's on a case by case basis. I think that you see Burrow, May, and Lamar now going in the six round more often where when we're doing the OCs back in the summer and everything, those guys would fall to the seventh, eighth round. I don't think you see that as often anymore. That's probably- Hey, Nelson, I got a question for you. Yeah, go ahead. I've something that I've noticed. I know Chris touched on it. I think Chris touched on it maybe last week. I even spoke with Stevie. The middle of the board was somewhere I didn't want to be pretty much all summer. And now it's a place where I'm pretty happy to be. Everybody wants to be this. Everybody wants to be in the middle, Matt. It's so crazy how every draft board I look at, every draft I'm in, it looks like teams five through eight are loaded. And I don't know how it keeps happening, but it just looks like that's where- you even see the big players, the big name drafters, every draft they're in, they're six, they're seven, they're eight. Everybody wants to be
right in the middle. And I think it's kind of because you don't want to get put at the ends and feel like the cliff ends at certain positions where it does when you're in that 10-11-12 range, one, two, three range. It feels like this cliff's at either position and they're drying up in a lot of these drafts if you're at the corners. But in the middle, you're safe. You're safe in the middle. And you know, that's it. I'm also willing to take anybody I wanted, seven. Like if I got the seven through a pick, I'm not gonna wait all the ADP. I'll take whoever I want there. And then figure it out the second run. Nelson, you noticing that too or what? Not in particular, as far as names, it's concerned. But I look at it as I was comfortable drafting from pretty much anywhere on the draft board. So I do like the middle. So that's nothing really like new to me.
I still like the ends. I think you can, I want to have Gibbs, Bijan chase. And then on the back end, I think there's different combinations of players that you can draft. So I want to have different combinations of those guys. But like if you're like the seven pick, I think that's like a nice sweet spot for you. Because if it, if the guys in the back end cooperate, you can get like a Hampton or a Walker to come down to you to pair with like, you know, Aman Rod doesn't make it there too often. Neither does JSN, but once in a while, you can start with one of those guys in a running back. So I kind of like that spot. Okay. Yep. I'll say real quick what I've noticed in the last week and two. I drafts just seem more running back heavy than the NFFC has been in past
years. You know, used to see nothing but yellow in the, from like 10 out of 12 teams in the first five, six rounds. And you know, who would have, you know, you'd have four or five teams with four wide receiver star. It was just a race to yell. You're seeing a lot of green now. And the green is drying out now in the sixth round. I'd rather, I'd rather go into those eighth, ninth, tenth rounds needing a receiver than a running back in my opinion. So that's what I think. The teams are like saying, you know, those goons, say again, goons starters, goons starters like Mason are getting pushed up into the, you know, like about a rounder. So before what they were before. Yeah, because Dan, every, there's every draft is going to be two or three guys that start off with three or four wide receivers. And they're going to be playing catch up at running back. They're going to be the ones that need to move up those Pollard Dobbins Mason types. And when you do that, you want to pull the
trigger on them in the eighties, early nineties. And, you know, there's the values getting moved up now with that running back position. So when you get to pick a hundred and a little later, all those guys are gone now. And then you're hitting the next tier. And when you hit that next tier, all of a sudden, every other position starts looking a lot better than the running back position. So I don't want to be in that position where I need a running back in those spots. I think Chris is kind of because, you know, from every, you know, thing that I've absorbed, you know, podcasts or whatever articles, tweets, everybody, even the most ardent zero hot B guys are all going running back heavy, advising people to go running back heavy. And, you know, I think everybody's driving that train. Not everyone. I'm about to say that. Nelson has been the total opposite. I've been kind of with him for the most part, especially in the
OCs, you know, yep. All right. Well, anything else you guys want to cover before we get into the legacy? Matt Nelson. Yeah. All right. Well, let's, let's get this legacy board up there. There we go. All right, I think that's about the best we're going to do on that. Okay, so, uh, Nelson start us off. You were in this. Chris was in this. Matt, you were watching. That terrible production. I gotta say. This is the cherry. You should have been out there hosting that. Matt, I put it out there. I already said, bang the drums for a spittery up Modica. Put them in a cabana next to the pool. Terry lives in a cabana by the pool. You know, so might as well put them in one and do the draft next year. But Nelson, take it away, man. We got a lot to talk about on this draft. Obviously it was highly talked about. No, it is being talked about on social media. It was a lot of hype around this draft. And I had fun participating in it. It got my juices going. So, you know, uh, Nelson, what do you think?
I thought one of the most intriguing and fun parts of this whole process was going to be the bidding for draft preferences. I was excited to see what kind of numbers we're going to be thrown out. And I remember we were sitting in the lobby. We're having, try and remember, we're having like lunch or something. It was me, David and, uh, and say for that lunch, Nelson, you got to see big dogs out of the table who takes the card out and plays for that lunch. I pull out my card and money. It steves already got it taken care of. That the fucker won't let us pay for anything. First time to agree. He's a great guy. Yeah, I really appreciate it. But yeah, but he's a stubborn mofo. That's for sure. Oh, yeah. So we're hanging out. We're talking and and we're going over, you know, kind of like the bidding where we want to be, front end, middle, back end.
And, um, you know, they definitely were more like on the conservative side on what the bids were going to be for the top spots. And I said, I was like, listen, there's like eight guys in here that I like, I don't even know. And I said, be prepared. Like, there's going to be like seven, eight hundred dollar bids. For those like two top spots, Gibb's in B-John is where I think it's going to be at. And sure enough, like as soon as we got in the room and and the bidding started, it was right off, it was off the hook like right from the beginning. You know, they started off like, I'm trying to remember it was like $10, like a hundred. Someone just went 500. Like out of nowhere. And then I was like, yes, let's get the party started. And Santos was one of them. I, so Nelson was Peter Burrell, who's a pretty, he's a veteran of the NFFC plays in the diamonds
and the platinum's and prime times as well. He was involved in the bidding. He wound up winning the bid, right, at $800 and something. And Santos were going at it. Santos eventually dropped down a couple hundred bucks and got B-John at the two hole. But you know, that bidding was totally crazy. I set my cap at like $3,500 to try and get one of those two topics. And the bidding started at $5. I didn't even open my mouth. So, you know, there was nothing to do with the sad. Yeah. And then like for me personally, you know, what my plan was from there was, once we had Peter go to the one hole, uh, Santos went to the two hole, um, I believe the next one was Delaney grabbed, uh, pick number three. And then I hear Vicaro get involved and he decides he wants to go to pick number four.
I was like, okay, interesting. And then he was sad. So, so that caught me, not caught me by surprise. Just found it interesting. And then Chad chimes in and he wants the next draft preference. And I'm listening and he goes five. And I'm like, I'm going to the back end. At that point, I looked at it as, you know, I'm avoiding Vicaro, Santos and Chad. Um, not that I'm, you know, again, not that I'm scared of you guys, but I respect you guys. So, I'm looking at it as, you know, let me go to the back end and see what I can do from back there. Let these guys battle in the beginning of the draft. So, that was my strategy when it came to, you know, picking which spot I was going to go to. So, so let me ask you, how did this work? Did you, you know, like did somebody say, okay, now we're putting, did you go one through 12 and nominate them in order? Or was it something where you, you know, you said, okay, I was done.
Dan, it was done where Greg Ambrosius had everybody in the room and myself and Santos or or Chad, I think, were online on a Zoom. And it was just first bidding. How much? Like, and it went by $10 increments and everybody was like an auction. And when the number stopped at like $860, you know, Peter Barale, you won, you won a pick at 860. He could have said, give me pick eight, give me pick two, give me pick 12. And then on and on and on, you got to, if you won the bid, then you got to pick where you want. So there was no, it wasn't like, oh, you would, you would, you would, you would, and then yeah, it did not go in order, like pick one one for this, pick two, went for that. Okay. And like that, Nelson, I want to follow up what Nelson just said because the strategy going into the auction and all of it, I think is very, you know, interesting for people to hear. Maybe, maybe not at least me, but there was two things that were on my mind.
Number one, positioning, just like Nelson said, when I was thinking of where I wanted to be, I didn't wind up where I wanted to be. I want to get, I want to touch on that, but I wanted to kind of be in that 789 range. That was my goal. And I didn't think I'd spend a lot of money doing it. But when the top three picks were taken for 860, 600, and then I think like 470 or 80 for Jamar Chase, then the next bids came out and it stopped at $150. And I said 160 because I wasn't going to let the fourth pick go for 160. And what I knew if I got that pick, which I didn't expect to get, I was just keeping the, Nelson, his something for you. I was just keeping the train moving in terms of the prices. You know, you get in an auction and you hear like a Josh Allen stops at 11 and nobody's really wants to get involved. So you just got to say 12 because it's a crime if somebody gets it, even if you don't want them or
not, right? So I say 160 and the room freezes and I win the bid at 160 for pick 4. Which I thought was a robbery. It wasn't my plan going in, but I knew I was taking a mon-raw if I got the fourth pick. So I was fine with that. I didn't mind that. So Nelson to answer your question on why, wow, Chris, you know, bid 4 and you were surprised. I was a little surprised myself, but for one, 160, I took it. I knew I had Santos at one. I was looking to see where Chad and you were putting yourselves. Chad then took five at the same exact price with 160 and I said to myself, all right, I didn't like that. He boxed me in there and then you won like a pick or two later. And I expected you to go to six or seven to have the whole, to have all of us pinned in, but you went to 12 and I was thrilled when I heard you say 12 to go to the opposite side of
me. So that's that. I don't want to be long-winded, but if I'm going to forget, if I don't say this, in terms of the money, guys, I looked at it like this. I wasn't going to, I didn't want to spend anything more than 200 on FABBIDS. And you may say, all right, well, it's a football, it's a high stakes fantasy league. What comes off of the waiver wire during the year? Not much, right? But when you look at the players that are in this league outside of the four main ones that I just mentioned, there's a lot of wild cards in this league. And it's not so much what's available on the FABB wire is I expect some of these teams that are here that may be a little weaker of players to make some mistakes during the year and make some bad drops. And if they make some bad drops, I don't want to be that guy that had two, $300 available in FABB like a Santos who is Peter Barral who doesn't have the money.
I want to be able to take advantage of other people's mistakes. And that's why I wanted to make sure I kept 800 plus in my FABB budget. So that was my main factor in saving money. Got you. All right. I got a general question for you guys. Is the draft unfolded? How did you feel like it compared to difficulty-wise with the prime time? No, it's about the same or harder. That's a good question. I actually think that it's about what I expected from the draft in terms of being hard or easy. It was easier than a prime time. Just because at every turn, like we're in the 12 hole, we just talked about this, right? We were talking about draft preferences. We're Maddie and you were talking about being in the middle of the draft and kind of enjoying
that spot now. Being in the 12 spot or in the corners, you can get yourself kind of jammed up a little bit if there's a run at positions and stuff like that. I felt like there was multiple options at every turn in that draft. Sometimes a draft like that is actually, I feel becomes harder for me because it's like, I got to really think about it on like, all right, I have a lot of guys available to me. Which way do I even want to go here? I could go tight-end, running back, receiver. There's two receivers I like. It opens up more options. So that part is good. But it can be tricky when you're in a draft like that. You're just back there and you're like, oh, it's these two guys, no brainer. This guy's a no brainer.
Now, let me think about who I'm going to reach up for with my second pick. To answer that question, I think it was difficult in the sense that I felt like there was always players available. You had many options. I don't think there was anything too outrageous at the beginning of the draft. I will say that that was a typical drafted main event that you would expect. But then it got interesting with a couple of picks later on. I'm curious what Chris thinks sitting kind of a little bit more in the hot box there, surrounded by some players that you know well and draft off and against. How did you find it, Chris? Similar to Nelson, I knew that it wouldn't be as hard as a league as a prime time. Any of the New York super, nothing like that.
Just because of the competition in here. A lot of people here, oh my god, it's 100,000. You're going to have 12 animals. No, it wasn't like that. I knew who my competition was in this going in. There were a couple other teams that built okay teams as well that weren't you know, Santos, Chad or Nelson. But you still got to make the right picks when you're on the clock. You still got to build your team right. But Nelson's point is valid when he says like, every turn I was on the clock, I had options. And it's really just a matter of okay, I have options. But going down the road, I want to make sure my team is built the same way. Especially but once I'm in the forehole, I know how I want to build my team down to the forehole. It worked out exactly the way I planned it in my head to be honest with you. And it kind of felt a little bit like an unexperienced league in terms of yeah, the first six rounds kind of were nobody really messed up, you know, bad.
But then you start getting into the deeper water. And that's when the experience showed and people's team started falling apart. And that's what high-stakes drafting is about. As you got to be able to go 20 rounds, I didn't find any problem straight through 20 rounds, getting guys that I liked and had a lot of options in my queue, each round straight through 20 rounds. I wanted the thing to go 25 rounds. So I'm sure Nelson felt that same way. I thought the six having turned was it dropped perfect for Nelson. Getting those two backs, what Steven's seen to lead the way early on and have that upside there. Yeah, I mean, Dan, you want to go team by team or you don't want to do that for this league or how do you want to, you just want to generally talk about it? No, I think, I don't know. We're going to be going team by team on the other one.
I think generally, I think, you know, I think this one, you guys, I'd rather just say, your guys are penguins on it, but honestly, you guys lived it. Yeah, listen, I was obviously looking back on it five days later. I have a couple breaks, right, that break for me the right way. Keenan Allen with the DWI. Let me back up real quick. I'll go through this team real quick. Obviously, getting a mon rock, coming back, I have a choice of neighbors, Alabe, Nico Collins. They all fall to me. So that's fine. I take neighbors over Alabe. That was kind of what we were talking about earlier. Maybe, maybe when neighbors in Alabe are on the clock for me, it's 50-50 for me. If I do 10 teams, it's going to be five Alabe, five neighbors. I come back, I get a solid wide receiver, three that I love and lad Maconkey. And I start, most people, when they're in this range of the four, you see
them start off with four wide receivers in a row. I was never doing that. I put myself in the fourth hole, guys, because I knew in the fourth round, after I started off three receivers in a row, that I was going to start my running back room off with one of three running backs that I really liked there that I know I would get. So I took Breeze Hall, who I love, start my running back room off, come back around. That was probably my toughest picks right here, is in the fifth round and sixth round turn. Do I want to pull the trigger on a Chris Godwin to complete my wide receiver room or push it down? I felt that I would get better receivers in this room, with it seeming like it was a heavy running back room with these other guys. So I made the decision to get to, and as my RB2, who I really like, and hope that I could get Godwin to fall to me. He doesn't, and the controversy, I guess,
when you hear people talk about my team is Skataboo in the sixth round. To me, I have, this is my second Skataboo share of the summer. I'm not in love with Skataboo, but to me, I think it's the right pick, it's the right choice to make on this build. And he's my RB3, and if he doesn't perform the way he's supposed to, it won't kill me. I have Josh Downs to be my flex player between him and Skataboo, love getting downs, love the fact that the Keenan Allen news broke the next couple days later than that as my four. I get Herbert, who's the top five quarterback in my eyes, and then obviously, I'm the lucky recipient of Marshawn Lloyd in the ninth round. Chris, can we stop there for a second? I mean, the one thing that was at the moment, I look, he's a great drafter, but for me, I had a say this, when he drafted Jacobs, and he had the opportunity to get Lloyd there, I'm going to take
that over the Washington back, even if he's the starter. I'm really like, really, I'm going to hold back, feel right now. And I thought that was a missed opportunity. So Matt, let me talk on that. I was shocked that he took Cory Krosky-Marit. I assumed that Lloyd was going to be his pick there, just to put that together. He passes. And then while I'm on the clock, I want to take Lloyd, but I also want to take, I thought Wondell Robinson was great value right there that fell in that draft. And I said, oh man, I could put Wondell on this team as as my five or Romeo dobs. And then I look, and I'm like, all right, I'm not going to wait to take Lloyd on the comeback around. In case somebody snatches him. I still had dobs, Wondell, Jordan Addison, as three receivers, I said, as long as I get one of those three guys to come back around to be my wide receiver, five, I'll be happy. So I didn't wait after that. I pulled the trigger on Lloyd right there to be my
running back four, who now might be in my starting lineup, potentially in certain weeks over here. Come back around and get Addison. What I really like that I did is put in the team together as I took Herbert as my starting quarterback a little early. On that long turn, I wasn't going to wait in this league to see if I could get a quarterback to come back to me, right? I take Herbert Nelson takes Dach at the turn and it comes all the way back around. Trevor Lawrence and Caleb Williams still stayed on the board, but I wasn't taking the chance. I take Herbert. I pair him with Maconkey. I later then jump a little bit for Gough. I pair him with my first round pick Amonra. Two offenses I love in the charges and lions. I have the starting quarterback with the top receiver. And that's it. I won't, you know, I take Trey Harris in the 13th round as you know, as a little bit of a mini stack with Lad Maconkey and Justin Herbert.
I get a tight end room. That's my first Travis Kelsey share, not my guy at all, but I take him because on this team, I say to myself while I'm on the clock and the tight end room is pretty much emptied out. I say to myself, all right, this guy could give me, you know, six for 60 each week, you know, five for 55 and hopefully a touchdown. Can I ask you one question, Chris? Yes. Was the first pick that I was pretty much nailing most of your picks throughout the draft? Yeah, I thought you were going, Johan Johnson here. So I wanted Johan Johnson or Terence Ferguson, which I was lucky enough to somehow pull off Terence Ferguson on this team. A combination of that Matt. Yeah. If I look back, I remember bleeding the clock down to like one second because I was deciding between Kelsey, Johan Johnson and Terence Ferguson. If you can believe that. And that's two rounds early. I was going to take Terence Ferguson two rounds earlier. It's never early.
I said, it's never early. It's never early. But I said, let me take the veteran. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe Kelsey just has one more year left. I don't like what the chiefs offer in their past catching room and maybe Kelsey early in the season until Ferguson comes along. If he even needs that time, you know, that was the one that's the one pick that if you look at my team doesn't fit in is a Kelsey pick. So that's it. I thought I got good depth with Trey Harris and in K-Shon Booty at wide receiver. And that's it. I got the charges wide receiver too. Yeah, there you go. Don't let the grief hear that. Now we got to move to Nelson versus Old Ted here. Old Ted is a big fan of Nelson's draft. He says, gross. 100K in Reminders here. RB1. And he also loves the the DAC. But quite, quite, trust got squeaking ducks.
So I don't worry. I don't worry about that kind of stuff. You know, you're talking about a bunch of randoms in the chat with no, no, the haters. Yeah. Please get out the cab on the haters, Nelson. I'm not worried about some random month in the chat given their opinion. It was TVG say what's to a hold on? It's blocked off on my computer. Oh, it's so sad you should you seem very knowledgeable. You should enter the league next year. There you go. I that was my rundown of my team. I'm sorry. It was a little long-winded. But Nelson, take it away. You want to go through yours. I'm interested to hear yours. Yeah. So when we went to the 12th spot, the thought process there was that we had already discussed it that it was either one in one take a receiver with whatever running back we valued there. Or because this could turn into a running back heavy draft, there could be a couple of
receivers there available. And what do we do? And the two guys that like I value the most, our CD, Lamb, and AJ Brown. So if we talked about it already ahead of time that if those two guys were available, we were going to go that way. And we were going to build it. And I feel comfortable building teams this way. So I didn't feel like, like, you know, out of place. For, listen, what I can say is especially going going into this year, it's very uncomfortable for people to look at a build like this and not have like one of those top running backs in the first couple of rounds. So I get it. Like, that's, people want to feel comfortable with it, right? For me, I feel comfortable building, you know, kind of like zero running back teams or four wide teams and, and then taking the running back later in the draft. So once we made that
decision, we knew we were definitely going to go three wide at that point. That, so we took Waddle. That's, you know, our favorite guy, favorite receiver. So it was pretty much, I think we, we had talked about pickings. I know, I know David likes pickings quite a lot, quite a bit. I felt that like in a, in a main event, I'm taking pickings with the thought that I'm going to take that also and just stack it, right? And it can finally, my thought was more, okay, let's not necessarily be conservative because we took freaking Waddle, you know, well above ADP. It was just more of, let's not put our eggs all in one basket. If, you know, that got hurt, these two receivers could be toast. So, you know, rather have just one struggling than, than have both on your team. So that, that was kind of the thought behind it a little bit.
Four, five turn, I really thought that it was going to be like two running backs there. Whatever guys they left us, we would start three wide two running backs. Here's the problem. I don't think it's really anything that's a secret. I'm a big Christian Watson guy this year. I have him ranked very high ahead of a bunch of receivers that went before him in the fourth round. So when he makes it to us, like, I'm just never passing him there. I'm going to start this team four wide. I think I have now four number one receivers and I'm going to figure out the rest. And once we did that, that was kind of the process and the thought process that we took. The mindset was, you know, what in a league like this, where you have some inexperienced owners, you could have some interesting drops throughout the year and we're going to be ready to pounce on
on those mistakes. So I looked at it as, I don't need my team to look like a finished product or have it look real pretty during the draft because I feel very confident in my ability and fab in the waiver wire to pick up guys to help this team. And listen, if the receivers don't work out, this team's in deep, deep trouble. But if they perform the way I think they're going to perform this year, all we're looking for on this team is running backs throughout the year. So that's kind of my mindset there. I don't know if you guys have any questions so far. No, no. I knew what you were doing. As soon as, you know, when receiver receiver receiver and Watson was on the board, I mean, I don't know if you want to say it or not, but, you know, Swift going one pick before you. I think, you know, I think that was obviously going to be your pick at the turn there was Deandre Swift
and maybe Ramandre or Swift and Watson. I'm sorry. It was Swift and Watson for sure. I have, I have Swift a good bit ahead of Stevenson. So that's definitely the guy we would have preferred. I'm not going to lie Nelson. I'm not going to lie Nelson when Swift was on the board. I think it's Orncats that's in the 11 hole. I was saying to myself, and if Nelson gets Swift here at the turn to come to him as is RB1 with Watson, we're all in trouble here. And Orncats take Swift. I don't know if he did it just because he looked at your team and said, we're not giving him Swift or he just wanted his third running back. But I think that was a significant cliff after Swift to take any other running back. But Swift would have made this team through five rounds look like up in our house in my opinion. Yeah. Yeah. I think if if it's Swift replacing Stevenson, the team looks
totally different and I get it. At that point, we knew we're once we go four wide, we knew we're going to take a running back. Now the decision was, okay, which running back are we going to take? At the end of the day, what we decided was that it was really between Montgomery and Stevenson for us. Okay. We didn't we didn't consider anybody else. Those were the two guys that that's the two guys that I have up there in in my rankings. Not necessarily that like I follow my rankings to a T. I'll move guys around. But in this league, 100K on the line, who do you trust the most? We looked at it as New England's just a better offense than Houston's offense. You had Brayden Smith, who's the right tackle for Houston. He was banged up at the time and then today, they just announced that he's going on IR and he could miss four to six weeks.
So are you starting to the arrow pointing down for you a little bit with some of the running backs that you loved early in the season, Nelson, like Montgomery and Scataboo? There's a couple of guys, yeah, for sure. Yeah, okay. Because I was surprised that you didn't take Monti at the turn. That was my like when I was following along, I'm like, all right, well, it's Monti here at the turn and you went Ramondray. What would you put your percentage at in terms of getting Ramondray to come back to you on the next turn? It was a running back heavy draft. I don't think we get him coming back. Because it's how I looked at it. When we were on the clock, like here's one thing I can tell you right now. Between the three of us in that room, the one thing we did not discuss that we could care less about is, oh, this is a reach. Oh, public perception is going to be, you guys reached way too far for Stephen. Yes. Steve and David Howard, I can assure you could
care less of what people think. So that was not it, like in our thought process. We didn't look at it as like, oh, Stevenson sometimes goes later, you know, the same, the right pick, ADP, it's 100K lead. Like ADP goes out the window. We could care less like where we take the guy, right? So it just came down to Chris was it was just the factor of the offense. We looked at it and we said, what checks off the boxes? Drake may oversee J Stroud, Patriots offense in general over Houston offense. Offensive line, Patriots offense of line better than Houston's offensive line. So we just said, you know what? And Stevenson can catch the ball. Everything's been that he's having a very good camp. He's solid. That's why we made that pick. So that was the thought process at the time when we were on the clock. Gotcha. Gotcha. And then after that, it was basically, it came back around.
We knew we were going to take two running backs at that point to get our number two and our number three running back. And we went with the upside. So, you know, there's there's a lot of risk, you know, with this team, more risk than a lot of people are willing to take on. I get it, especially in a big money leak, but, you know, Brooks has been my guy from, you know, from the beginning, Hubbard, Steve, love Jonathan Brooks. We're going to take him. And then with Corm, I looked at it as it's another upside guy that's tied to an incredible offense. And I think he's going to play regardless. Like he's going to get playing time. So if we need to, like in a pinch, put him in the lineup. I don't think he's like a total like handcuffed to Kyron. I don't think he's a zero. I think he gets you some points. And then if something does happen, you know, I think wheels up. So my question, my question Nelson, I have something the one question I wanted to ask you more than
anything on this team was, you have AJ Brown on this team. You have Ramandre on this team. I know you're a big patriot guy going into that turn. How close were you to pull in the trigger on Drake May? Who I know you love as your QB1 in a standalone league. You know, someone I think you have him QB2 probably to take him or did you feel it was more valuable to get a combination of running backs because you're already behind at the running back position. So you wanted two shots at one and drafting Brooks and Corm. So hoping one of them becomes a star or an injury or something like that. And now you have two locked in running backs, but you have three shots to to complete it. But how close did it come to saying, oh my god, I got to pass on my guy Drake May to be the quarterback of this team? Yeah, I felt like for the team, it made sense to take the two running backs and not worry about in a confined league putting the whole stack together with like AJ Brown and
Stevenson with May. It was definitely mentioned by me when we were on the clock because I thought about it like, you know what, let's just live and die by the Patriots offense and see if they take the next step up this year. And we'll find running backs on the next turn. The funny thing is when we talked about it, I can tell you Chris, you know, sometimes you guys know that we're into Lloyd. We probably have the most Lloyd out of anybody in their portfolio, whether it's percentage wise or money wise. So Lloyd was definitely a target of hours on the following turn where you don't even get him there. So that was probably a mistake on our part, not, you know, not double, you know, kind of doubling down on Lloyd and just saying, let's just go ahead and and take Lloyd here on this turn. But if we pass on one of those running backs and we take Drake May,
Lloyd 100% is the pick instead of DAK. And now we're sitting a little bit better at this point because Lloyd is looking like he's penciled into a starting role right now, a week one. So Lloyd would have looked a lot better than, you know, Quorum. Yeah, I was way, I thought when you took that golden press, God, it's tough because I knew Lloyd was probably in your conversation at that point. And I thought you would take him because your running back room again was a little behind everything. And, you know, to me, if I'm building the team this way and I have four monsters at receiver, I'm not in a, I'm not in a hurry to go get my fifth, you know, I know the, I know it's the comfort of feeling like, alright, I got gold and a solid wide receiver five that you love and on bi weeks and everything you stick that in. So, you know, it's tough. Do you get your wide receiver five there to complete your receiver room? I think DAK's the right pick. You got to go get
your quarterback in a stand-alone league here. You don't want to be messing with QB 14 and 17 as your quarterbacks in the stand-alone league. And I'm sure that like you said, Lloyd was the you got three picks for two spots. So, you know, that was the thought process, Chris, was that in a confined league, we didn't want to pass on DAK or whatever quarterback of our choice. And, and then in a confined league, guys start picking off QB and there's a QB run. And then guys see us in the 12 hole, you know, naked, no quarterback. And now you have doubling up of quarterbacks. I've been in those kind of situations in those kind of leagues where people 100% do that. And look at round 11, round 11 is all pink, right? It's all in quarterbacks. Yeah, camp more. Nelson, you know, that's why I took Justin Herbert 88th overall because if I don't take him at 88,
then it's I'm saying to myself, all right, my next pick is that 105 between 88 and 105. If there's that QB run of Herbert, Lawrence, Caleb, DAK, and I don't, you know, I don't get any of them, you know, I'd rather be ahead of the quarterback run than behind it and at the mercy of it. So, I had no problem pulling, you know, going, going and taking Herbert and getting my quarterback before anybody else got a shot to take it. So I understand the thought process of taking DAK before anybody else, but all right, that's it. I mean, no, say anything else you want to say about your team. I know we're digging deep on these, but no, no, that that was it. So I wanted to give you guys, you know, my thought process on it. And again, like like I said, I, after the draft, I looked at it as there's going to be a lot of people that are not going to like this team because they're not going to like the running
backs. They're just not going to like the build, but I'm confident that, you know, throughout the year, it's not a finished product. And we're trying to beat 11 other owners, not it's not a tournament team necessarily, even though it looks like we built it that way. You know, I just look at it as once I went CD AJ Brown. And I know like Steve, he wanted to go running back there. And then like David and I, you know, overruled them basically because we wanted to start with CD AJ Brown. We felt like we had an edge there and then build it from there. I just want to thank you for avoiding Jake Ferguson and taking Florida instead. So yes, I was thinking of you, Dan. Thank you. Yeah, I was. No, it's a question. Yeah. Go ahead. My only question really was when you took
lane, I know you guys are big on him and stuff, but with tank bigs being consideration, I just thought that upside contingent back for this team was like the perfect fit. It was a better fit. Yeah. So when we were on the clock there and we were looking at it, it was between bigs, be lane, there was someone else might have been Kalen Black actually. So we were thinking about all those guys. And we just said, you know, as a number six receiver, we wanted to, we wanted to make sure the strength of our team, which is wide receiver, didn't have an issue. We wanted high upside guys. The floor noise pick was insurance. It was like a handcuff to CD where we looked at it as if CD gets banged up, we think floor noise can step in, get us some points, some production. That's all we're looking for. We're not looking for a home run. If pickings is the one that gets
banged up or whatever, now, you know, now potentially cooking here have something going on. So that was the pick there. The bell pick, we could have done without and just taken a stab at another running back. But again, we wanted to put a couple of high upside receivers on the team, let a couple of weeks play out into the season, see what it's all about. And then start making, you know, changes and, you know, maybe targeting some running backs. Cool. Yeah. Okay. One draft will see how it plays out during the year. Obviously, this will be what I'm tuned into the most this year. All right. And on that, now we're going to take a short break. We'll be right back and we'll do another draft board. Okay, there you go Nelson. All right, so this one is from Sunday night. We had this is a prime time. And we had Matt and Paul Spatery drafting out of the three hole. Myself and Theo Griminger drafting out of the four hole and then Nelson drafting out of the five hole. Chris couldn't make it that night. So, you know, he's just shut out of this one. Yeah, I was in the sun. But I'm glad you made it off your canoed draft.
That was pretty much it too. I mean, I got into town on Saturday night. And that was just basically consuming NFL news for the next 24 hours. So, there you go. Yeah. But I thought this was an interesting draft in that Matt and me and Nelson all had very similar strategies running out of the three four five hole. Oh my god. Look at the thing. Yeah. So, I mean, there was a certain point where we had over and back his aids. Something to you guys. So, there was a point in the draft. I think it, after Nelson took Tep McMillan where we had half the wide receivers in the draft between our three teams. So, it was definitely wide receiver heavy for us. But I think it worked out well because you had all the green over on the right side of the board. So, you know, I know I was
confident that we were going to get some running backs coming back towards us. So, I wasn't really too worried about it. It was just a matter of, you know, I knew that the three of us would be kind of be in competition for those running backs for the next few rounds. But we'll go through this one. We'll do this one quickly team by team. Team one. I'll start out on team one. This was... Well, dang, you want to let them do one and two and me and you would do three and four and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one. Yeah. Well, Nelson's doing five. Yeah. So, Nelson wants you to do one. Okay. So, the one spot gives with McBride. I don't like McBride in the second round. And then... Wait till you get further down. This was the gift that kept on giving on that. Yeah. So, you know, the Abukha pick, you guys already know how I feel about Abukha today
then last month. ETN, I'm fine with. Wondale Robinson was crazy in the end of the fifth round. Let's add cow pits to it in the sixth round when you have McBride. You know, first great pick of... Besides Gibbs was Drake May at the end of the seventh. It was just a mess. Like, I... I don't want to spend... How do you get five tight ends when you start to get with McBride in a bit? It was a train wreck. That's all I can say. Like, I don't know. I don't know what to do. Anytime you can back up Drake May with Justin Herbert, two rounds lady, you have to do it. Right. And then turn around and get the Houston... Texas defense. Yeah. I don't get the five tight ends. I do. Yeah. That was... What was the name of this drafter if anybody could DM it? No, he's going to remain nameless. That I don't do. I try not to...
I'm going to talk crap, but I try to... I do have it written down because of the case I see him in any other prime. Yeah, exactly. I do have his name drawn it down though. All right. Team two, Chris. Team two, I love when I see these types of builds here with... You got the, you know, the B-john and then Bowers. Always interested to see how it winds up after that. I see the... I see why you would do it. You know, you get top two running back. You get the advantage there and then you get the tight end one. And then you do what you have to do. You get four straight wide receivers with Bowers. You come back. Now as you're running back in the room, it's what's going to happen here. Rico, Rashad, White, Chuba, Hubbard. You know, you got to make it work. Someone out of that group's got a pop to be your RB2. You come in, you get Jaden Reed
as your wide receiver five, a solid wide receiver five. So you have everything covered. I think where this guy goes wrong is that Debo Samuel pick isn't needed. It's not necessary. You need to get a quarterback. And you could have took a quarterback there. That's better right there. So instead, you know, you could have had a scenario where your weakness was just your RB2. But now your weakness is kind of your RB2 and your quarterback. So you know, just looking down here. Jordan loves Sam Donnell. I like Jordan Love a lot this year. And he's got the combination with Reed in a way. But I don't have a problem with the way this team was drafted. The player is not so much, but the quarterback I would have moved up a little bit more. Okay, we would team three me and Paul before we drafted. You know, we knew we had the three spot. I said, you know, we're partnering this. If Piggins is there, let's just go with the
who day stack and try to do it. I'll tell you one thing though, if Chuten and Monty would have been gone at five, 10, I would have pushed to go five wide, take God with it and hopefully at seven, I can get like Mason Dobbins or Corin Mason or Dobbins any two out of that three. The nine, 10 was where I was debating. Do we take Coleman there? I mean, Paul Love is Washington. I mean, I like him too, but I just figured we solidify that backfield. But it's fine either way. And to me, God, it was just too good to give up. And I wasn't sure we'd get to one back or, you know, even Ferguson the way he's been going. So I didn't want to make tight end a total sinkhole. And again, I think the position got it soon. So I mean, that was it. And what I did like, I mean, maybe other people don't like is that we got at an I-Mitral. I've
been a big bull on him all year. Greg Dorch got cut Tesla. So, you know, everybody was talking about Tesla, you know, but one of my favorite picks in the draft, I think him, I think Chris Bell maybe long term might be one of the best picks late. But I think Ted Hirst right now for a week one is probably my favorite pick late. You got a booker with the tow. You got Macmillan banged up. I am smashing Ted Hirst every opportunity I get. And then we kept it off with Kendrick. So it worked out pretty well. Yeah, the Kendrick pick was nice. I think I think for starting off four wide and getting borrow, your running back room is actually better than most running back rooms when you do the four wide receiver starts. I remember going over with Spatarri the other day seeing this. And, you know, to have your top three B Monty was a, I can't see. Jordan Mason. It is Mason, yeah, and Dobbins. Yeah, Monty Mason and Dobbins with the Washington
as the four who early in the season could be, you know, in your starting lineup. That was a really good combination. And you put together a good tight end room with, you know, the solid veteran and the upside tight end, you know, the yin and yang tight end right there. So everything was put together. I'm sure you guys are really happy with it. Spatarri must have been Baby Oil all night. The line of the week is, yeah, making pizzas, Baby Oil, everything. But by the way, the line of the week it was, I hope you choke on your tears. That's all I'm going to say. Oh, that, my fiance plays a trick on me because she sees me on social media at the pool, right? I'm looking at tweets and draft boards. So as a joke to say, like, you know, give me some attention or the only attention you show is to your football teams or whatever. Weatzat me, right? Happy birthday. She tweets at me. Get hold of that. Spatarri and all chaos and soons. It was like,
he couldn't have a big and shit. Oh my god, this is great. She tweeted at you. Oh my god. I got a text. I'm hammering him. Yeah. All right. So, you're a, you're a, you're a, yeah, four role. So this is, this is me and Theo. We, we decided we were very happy with Puka going in as, as our picket for. And then Drake London kind of fell into our laps. We figured it was probably going to be neighbors or London and, you know, London, London ended up with us. So good with that. Then we're, in the third Garrett Wilson, we were kind of talking about him or T Higgins. And Theo was a little bit more on the Garrett Wilson side. Now, I was okay with that. The only thing I didn't like about it is it kind of took Breese Hall out of the running for coming back
in the fourth. But we decided to instead just go with the four wide out start, go in DJ more. I don't have a lot of more. I don't think Theo does either. And we decided this was a decent spot to just go ahead and address that. And then in the, the five six turn, Bashal Tutan, we were kind of going back and forth on the fence between him and David Montgomery, decided to go with the upside play. And then I pushed for Marshawn Lloyd in the six. I think Theo would have probably preferred to go up price or Brooks. Maybe even Irving, but I was like, let's take a chance here. Let's say 80P because there, I think there'd only been like one draft prior to that where before the news had come out. So we decided to do that. And then we took Corum in the seventh. I was thinking we would probably get either Mason or Davins coming back to us. Momentarily mentally blanking on the fact we had Spattery next to us. So there was no way Davins was coming back. But I thought there was at least a chance Mason might
didn't happen. And I could substitute. We're both really, really happy. As a fifth wide out, then we decided to go after the other two Denver running backs. And again, this was a spot where I thought probably Spattery was going to take one of them. If we took Harvey, I figured he was probably taking Coleman, but when he went Washington, I knew we had a good chance to get Coleman back to us. Probably the one pick that stung the most so is Nelson taking J. Owen Hurt. I knew he was going to do it too. Man, that was J. Owen Hurt's coming down the pike at us at 11. Just looked like such a sweet pick. And yeah, that didn't work out. Yeah, but Dan, just so you know, like on our livestream, I said, I mentioned, that's how you wait on Corum after you got Nixon Mayfield. Like, Nelson's got Gough and Hurtz and you got Nixon and Mayfield. If you're going to wait on the Corum after position, I think he's both executed perfectly. Yeah, you know, once we knew,
once we weren't getting Hurtz, and we're just like, okay, well, let's address tight end. The only possible slight mistake we made is Nixon Mayfield both have week 10 buys, but I mean, that's 10. Yeah, you figure it out. I hate that. I hate what people say that. The tweet 10, you'll be following you figure it out. Exactly. One issue I have. And I like when teams look like this in terms of like through 10 rounds, and you got five receivers and five running backs, and then you could still put a nice QB room together in tight ends this year. The one thing you said, Dan, that I don't agree with, is, you know, because you took Garrett Wilson in the third that eliminated Hall for you in the fourth. You know, I don't agree with that in terms of, you know, every team has an elite, a wide receiver, one, and an RB one, and they can both smash each week, you know, so just the fact that you took Garrett Wilson, and if you's both like Hall, but you're like, I, we can't take Wilson, end-hole, you hear a lot of people say that because, oh, you why, you can't have two jets.
It's a different season. We don't know what's ahead, but you got two guys that could be top 12 guys at their position. So if you want to start your running back room off, and it was your second jet, I would have did it. To that point, Mike Sandin, I have an OC where we took Wilson and Hall together. So, you know, I have done it, but I didn't like doing it that much, and I, you know, I would have been pushing for Swift if we hadn't decided to go DJ Moore. It was basically, we were deciding between Moore and Swift at that spot. Gotcha. Okay, so. All right. All right. Wilson, you're in the five hole, right? Five hole. Yep. Four yellow stickers to start. Pretty standard, right? On brand. Yeah, on brand. Yeah, but, you know, like in the five hole, I'm going to take Puka there. Sorry, in the four, right? I'm in the four.
Got your five. So, I was, oh, I was the five. Sorry. So I'm going to take a monro there. Come back with Malik neighbors. See Chris. I love you. Oh, my God. Actually, Nelson, this was my 100k start. The neighbor's mcconkey. Yeah, there you go. Well, good luck to you in this league. Thank you, sir. I hope you win it. I could have taken Breast Hall instead of Tet McMillan. So that was the decision there. But Tet McMillan's just, he's still there for me where there's like a tear break at Wide Receiver. And I still think that he's ahead of some of those other Wide Receivers. So, and then I have Watson ahead of Tet actually, but I've got a lot of Watson. I've got 100k of Watson just from this weekend. So I wanted to change it up. I'm not going to keep drafting, you know, the same guys.
But I will say I did think about Hall and Swift there at that pick. Just to get a running back there. But if I think if McMillan wasn't there, I think I probably pulled the trigger on the running back. Because I do like starting three wide receivers get cleaned up. You take a running back in the fourth round and then you build it from there. Because sometimes the running backs that stretch to you at the five, six turn can be kind of sketchy or whatever. So, but that was that was my thought process on that pick. Everything else was pretty standard. Fifth round comes back around. Take Stevenson. And then when the turn came, Fio and Dan ended up taking Lloyd. I decided to take Gidarian price. I don't have much of him at all. I do think that he's a mover now.
Gidarian price. He's on the rise. I do. I still do feel that it's going to be like a committee backfield potentially there. So I do think he carries a little bit of risk. But that's, you can say the same thing about every single guy that goes in this range. So just decided to mix it up. I passed on Brooks. You know, Bucky was a thought also for this team, but went with price. Coming back around, I was actually happy to see Jalen Warren fall there. Because I felt like it gave me another like solid high floor type of guy that I can put in my line-up. Fifth wide receiver is Golden. Went with Concade at Tide End. I had a dilemma, I believe, when I
took Concade. I'm trying to remember, try to look at this board and see what it was that I was trying to decide on. We might Washington or a lead quarterback maybe with Herbert. Maybe it was, oh, it was Herbert because I had Maconkey. That's where it was. Yeah, yeah. So I was trying to, I knew like Herbert probably wasn't going to make it because there was two other teams behind me that didn't have QB one being Theo and then why you lost them to the Drake May guy? And I was, I thought it was funny when Herbert went off the board, I go go figure, it goes to the guy I didn't think. It was at least likely a team. But I was fine going with golf. I have a monross, so I wanted to do a little stack there and pair them together. Jill and Hertz, again, that pick, I went down to the wire because between him and cam ward. It was him and cam ward actually. But I said, you know what, I can get
CJ Stroud later in the draft. So I was like, we don't need to take, you know, push up cam ward here. Smart. That's why you're a veteran. Yeah. But I think, I'm trying to remember here, I think the pick was, I was trying to figure out if I wanted to double tap QB or tight end at that spot. And then Hertz just, middle 11th round, I think it's stupid. He shouldn't be going that late, I think. So I ended up, you know, pairing them. Then the rest is, you know, your typical stuff that you see after around 10. Yeah. Jadon Daniels is really falling in almost all these drafts now as quarterback, you know, where is early. He's the grenade. He's the he's the falling grenade that no one wants to catch. Yeah. I mean, he's not the only one though. Look at Tiger McLaren. He was going ended at third early fourth for a lot of the summer. Yeah. He's falling. Reshade white once upon a time was a, you know, hot name. He got banged up the lines out. There's a common theme there, right, Matt?
It's the commanders players are falling grenade. Yeah. And it's all because of that offensive line report. I think people are running scared, which is why I still don't understand why everyone's still high on jacory crosskey merit and drafting him. If the offensive lines the issue and McLaren's falling and Jadon's falling and reshade white's falling, but yet everyone's in on jacory crosskey merit. He's just starting running back week one. Exactly. It doesn't it just doesn't add up, but yeah, you know, McLaren, Scataboo and Trey Henderson, I had as my biggest fallers this week and Jadarian Price and Ramandre Stevenson, about the biggest risers. So, you know, that's that's what I'm seeing on the boards. Go ahead and Nelson back to you. No, that was it. All three of your teams were put together well to get goff and hurts as a combo and combine them with Amonra. You get golden as a
solid five to complete your room and you did the same thing that Maddie does and and put together a good running back room. And the price war in combination, I like a lot. You know, you got the rookie. Let's see what he can do. Is he a star? Is he struggle out of the gate? But you know what? It doesn't really matter because you got a solid bet in Jalen Warren early on in the season that you could pair with Ramandre. It was nice when you could get Ramandre in that eighth ninth round, you know, all summer long to be your RB three to be that solid veteran. Now he's going to be your RB two. And on your team now, your RB one. Dan. Dan, I think Dan's out. Dan. Hello. Who's Vymer? Yeah. Dan, you're on mute. Anyway, I'll take over team six here next up. This is kind of a mess over here. You start off with JSN and pickins. That's all well and good. After that, you go with four straight running
backs. I don't think you need to do that, especially when your third wide receiver is a banged up Alex, Alex Pierce that you don't know if he's going to be there early. I know he practiced today, by the way, along with Tyler Warren. So everybody rejoiced while our Tyler Warren shares. But Tyler, they were both back at practice. But even then, you know, to go with your wide receiver three is Pierce. And then your four, not be a veteran and another guy that's been banged up and behind it seems like in lemon. That's just too shaky of a wide receiver room after the big two in my opinion. So, you know, Kittle and likely, Kittle, who knows what we, if he's going to be there in week one, but you get likely, Stafford and Dart as a combination is fine with me. And that's that. To me, overall, your wide receiver room's got to be a little better than this. He drafted Jaden Blues cut earlier in the day. Yeah. Maybe you think he's going to land some on.
You know, especially the less like five picks, I was not like John Jennings Cooper. But as you said, one of those running backs through the Scataba were Brooks had to be a one receiving old God when you take mecha for whatever. Yeah. And it was taken team eight team seven seven seven seven that would be have you ready? Okay. The one thing I didn't like here, and it's not that I don't like either receiver. And I kind of really like Michael Wilson is the fact that he doubled up on Arizona. And I think they're going to put up points. I just don't know if I want to have both of those wide receivers on my team. The cook Hampton Stomp was great. You got breeze. I probably, you know, I don't know if I, if I'm going to go with Bucky as my fourth, but it seems to be a trend that I've been noticing. That he's pretty much been running back heavy. That was my main issue there. You know, there's maybe
the fourth running back and doubling up on the car no wide receivers for me. Fair enough. You took the swing on Josh Jacobs in the 14th. Yeah, I mean, that was what are you going to do if you're at 14th round, like we said earlier in the show. Why not? Yep. Why not? All right. I'll do team eight. This, this teams are right. I just, if you're going to do Josh Allen, Tyler Warren, you know, and have kind of an elite to identity, a quarter back, it just makes it really tough to pull the draft together. And I mean, this is all right, but you know, you got Chase Brown with Trivian Henderson and then Tony Pollard to get you through the early part of the season until hopefully Henderson's hitting. Tyler Alger, also gets you something early in the season most likely. And you do have the Pollard Spears combo there. So you probably got the Titans backfield nailed down for what that's
worth, but I didn't like the Shakir pick in the ninth. I thought there were better picks that could be made there. You know, it she'd in Boston. I like where they went. Boudille liked where he went. So this was just kind of a, it was like a team that I felt like was just a little bit off, but in OK bill, but just not quite there. Different looking team, right? You get an elite QB1 and a top elite tight end. So those are always the builds that look tricky. But you know, I think he put it together is pretty good. I think it's pretty good. What I like is your heat there. I'm a big sure he'd guy. I think if you hit hits, that's his, his number four gets solidified there. So I think that's a crucial pick for him. All right. Team nine. Yeah, awesome. Yeah, so with this team going McCaffery, HN and Gentie, I think that's
kind of like a unique build and being able to get Gentie here in the third round. We'll see as we, you know, head into the final stretch here with Gentie, if we get news like that he's still not, you know, back to practice or whatever, maybe he falls here a little more often in in drafts, but if he's back to practice here in the next few days, then he's going to be locked into the second round. And you know, this is going to be a unique pairing. I think once you go those three running backs, I do believe that the way to build the team is to go ahead and hammer receivers because you do need three of them. So and listen, I know Dan, you even have said this before and to a certain degree, I even agree with this. You draft like you're correct. Okay, you draft like you're right. Okay. But we know that like not every receiver is going to hit. Not,
you know, you're you're going to have, you know, a couple of guys that are going to bust, you're going to have guys get injured. So I do believe in like going more than three wide receivers and then attacking a different position after that. So I kind of liked the way he did it with going five straight wide receivers. Maybe he pushed it a little too much. I think the tight end room. I believe it's Jake Ferguson, right? So it's Andrew's Jake Ferguson and Hunter Henry. Then he takes time just I don't like that. Like I just that's just not for me. No, Zah, would you say like the Rodriguez or Mitchell pick being that he started with those three guys. One of them's a tight end there. If you make it like Johan Johnson there, looks a lot better. I think that looks a lot better. I think one of those picks has to either be a wide receiver or tight end because you know, to me, when I when I'm looking at this team and saying,
draft like you're right, that tells me that, you know, you got your top three running backs. You should be, you know, I love it. I love it. I love the build actually, especially you're taking that. I would take that chance 100 out of 100 times of genty as my RB three in round three right now. Okay. There's there's no reports out there that he's going to be out long term. So it's just a matter of is he there week one? Is he miss a couple weeks or something like that? It was a gift. What's up? I said it was a gift. No doubt. It's a gift, but he does the right thing. He drank five receivers. Now granted, this is like the geriatric home like all his receivers are the older, you know, guys of the league, but regard not Watson, but you know, after that Evans and yeah, whatever. My point is this. He covers his flex spot right off the bat. He's got five wide receivers.
So he doesn't even matter if genty's there week one. He knows that's going to be his flex player every week. So he's got the receivers to cover his receiver spots and his flex. He gets a big time quarterback and Trevor Lawrence, a top 10 guy. Okay. And then Nelson, I understand what you're saying with the tight end room, but because he had to make up for covering his ass at wide receiver and he still snuck in a top quarter back and then sprinkled in, you know, a little backups in the running back room. You got to you got to take some shots at tight ends, you know, you can't just roll with really like one. So, you know, Andrew Ferguson, Henry, a role veteran guy. Maybe one of them early in the season is popping and you know, I still am under that belief that as bad as some of these guys are Andrews Ferguson, Henry, they could still early in the season put together some good games in their office, especially. I think I agree with you, Chris, 100%. Like the build I agree with,
I just, I'm never putting four tight ends on my bench in this type of league where you have to start three wide receivers. I want handcuffed running backs in place of those guys. So the only thing I would have done different, Keaton Mitchell has to go and he's got to take likely or Joanne Johnson there. Yeah, I mean also long, there was a guy that would draft three running backs, you know, every time. Then there was another guy that did it a lot too. And one of the guys really learned from it after the first couple of times it was execute and this was exactly how it was done. I think you actually got five good receivers too. Like five guys with, you know, someone who got real upset, Brian Thomas hits, that's a home run. And again, just like what Nelson said, there were too many, the opportunity to get a Joanne Johnson or a likely, I totally agree on, but that's how you do it if you want to go three wide receivers. Two running backs. You don't
slap it for you go five. All right. Chris. I believe you did team 10, right? JT and Walker, a lot of Williams. Yep, three good junkens to come in as the yep. So three and three through six. Love it. Get an elite quarterback in Lamar, hit fan and at tight end. Crosky Marit as you four, okay, whatever. And then you go heavy at wide receivers straight down. Not bad. Yeah, you know what, on this build, if you have your third running back locked in in in junkens, yeah, in junkens, you know, and then merits you four, you could kind of go away from the running back room. You're trying to hit on a wide receiver for you get some good options there and trade Harris and cocker and Pat Bryant and Wix. So I like the way this team came together. Chig is a backup.
I like this team. I don't have many problems through the no issues really through the first 12 rounds. Yeah, I'd have probably gone wide receiver instead at JCM, but other than that, yeah, it's well put together. That I'll agree with Dan. Yeah, no problem. I agree with that. You can pick up a, you know, you could probably, if you picked up a better wide receiver there, you could probably pick up a couple running backs later and some of the, I agree. Dan, actually, now that I look at a little deeper, you could have put golden or Casey Kent's conception on or Jayden Reed or Cortan, and I think that's Sutton on the left side. Any of those guys as your four looks good. You already have junkens as your three. No need to go back and go get your four. So I agree with that. I mean, I'll make this quick with team 11. I like the build. I have no problems with it except for the 10th round. Instead of Aaron Jones, I would have either, you know, I would have went with like maybe an out of sheer there just to solidify that. He has Barclays guy gain.
Well, I like those guys. I mean, maybe it's just my personal taste. I'm just not an Aaron Jones guy. I'm just not going to draft it this year. So maybe that's me just being biased there. But otherwise, you know, I thought, you know, if you're looking after six rounds, he's got four receivers. He's got the two, two running backs. He's got a, in my opinion, an elite tie-down, especially if he has no restrictions. And he got Caleb in the house. Yeah, who's wrapping up? All right, that's me. I kind of like the concept of this build up to a certain point, but it's just, it ends up two week at running back for me. You got Derek Henry, Karen Williams, you know, who could definitely find himself in a time share. And then you're backing him up with Mananga. And then after that, it's Charbonne, Holanne, Brian Robinson. You know, it's just basically a collection of lottery tickets there. I would like to see one more good running back in there. But I like what he did at, you know,
getting loved one in there. Lamb and Brown is obviously a great start. You got Quint Johnson, Stribbling, Dobbs, Addison. You know, so he's got a, he's got a good running back room out of this whole thing. And he's, he's set it tight end. He's got loved one. And that's the only one he took, which I think is fine. He jumped on the Daniels and Murray grenades. So, you know, that, hopefully one of those guys works out good for him. So it's a team I like, all right, but he needs a little bit more firepower at running back. I mean, the Zach Charbonne, that's a one pick. When you got Taijai Spears still on the board, I just have a hard time making that pick. Sounds good. Little late news. You know, Todd Bowles said, Buca and Jalen McMillan remain day to day and or week to week. And they'll be re-evaluated
next week, which doesn't sound great. You know, obviously not day to day if they're going to be evaluated next week. So, little scary news out of Tampa for the Buca owners. And that's all right. I think that probably covers us. That's right. This bad boy up. Indeed. All right. So, thanks everybody for joining us this week. As always, we love the feedback. Hit the like button. And when you taste it, it's like, oh, this is what real flavor tastes like. It just didn't feel fake. It had a texture and a taste of what real gum should be because I've tried other natural gums in a flavor does not pop like it does with Nathan and Sun's and the flavor doesn't last. My favorite flavor is cinamastic. I also feel like my jaws in better shape, not doing as much clenching with my teeth. And what's funny is it's made with hydroxyapatite. The same mineral your tooth and mammal is made from. And the best part is a chewing gum that helps take care of your teeth in between brushing. And critically,
there is no plastic in this gum. It's made from natural tree sap.
