It is time for feeling good in the D.
What is it?
Well, it's a way for us to tell you about something good happening.
Could be anywhere across the country around the world,
but we love our feeling good stories that happen right here
in Southeast Michigan.
What do you got, Chelsea?
This is so exciting.
So we went to Angels of Hope a night of Hope a couple of weeks ago.
You were the MC and me and Alison were there.
There were more than an award-winning recipient.
I was the winner of the Bill Weilonis lifetime achievement
of awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So more than 850 people were at that event.
We all raised a record-breaking $819,000, $519,000, $819,000, $547,000.
Wow.
That's fantastic.
It's almost $1 million in one night.
Yes.
And you know, the money they make on a night of Hope really kind of funds it for the year.
I mean, they do the golf out and they do some other things.
They have people.
No, I know.
That, you know, do fun razors, but that's like the bulk of the money.
And that's huge.
That is so much money.
I mean, with how much money was raised just alone with the, with the auctioneer.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Your dinner at prison.
I would like to give credit to the auctioneer is awesome, but the auctioneer has a partner.
He doesn't say anything.
He's just writing down notes.
And he also does hand stuff.
Does he?
He does hand stuff.
I didn't see the hands.
And I tried to set him up with Chelsea.
I mean, I was like, Chelsea, what about that?
She doesn't want the helper.
She wants the, she doesn't want that.
She doesn't want that.
She doesn't want that.
Oh, that's right.
Well, a couple of years ago, there was a guy.
You were right.
That guy was in too.
But I, I, I, who knew I had an auctioneering fetish.
Yeah.
You know, you really like a man that's in charge.
Talks real fast.
Yeah.
Also, who knew and could identify that you even have a type?
It's, I show Chelsea like if I were single four different people.
None of them.
None of them looked like either of them.
Actually a really good quality.
Yeah.
It is.
A lot of them are usually bald.
I noticed.
I don't mind bald.
Oh.
I used to have a bald.
I used to have a bald thing specifically.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
And also a very long hair thing.
You don't know.
She is.
She also like the flamethrower guys.
Yeah.
That guy was cool too.
Here's what I love about Jay Towers in the morning.
Hi, Paul Corvino here.
What I love about that shows when they do feeling good in the D about a, a cancer fundraiser.
It turns into who does that as an in Chelsea want to date.
That's exactly right.
That's how it works.
That's how it works.
Bring me back in the day.
Back in the day.
Back in the day.
Back in the day is brought to you by David Feminino.
Get David get paid.
What happened on this day?
A little way for us to kind of throw back and talk about 94 years ago in 1932.
Ford unveiled its new V8 engine.
That thing was a monster.
It's funny.
I was getting into a conversation with a friend of mine about up North's talk.
Yeah.
Like things when we lived up north.
She didn't.
She had a house on the lake.
She's from Cincinnati.
But she'd come up in the summer.
That's how we met.
So we were just talking about things people would say at North.
That's regular speak like down the road to peace and stuff like that.
Yeah.
But for some reason,
dudes used to be like what she got in her.
Which would be what engine.
Right.
Right.
But that was like a rip.
What she got in her.
That's really funny.
Are people not asking each other?
I don't know.
Not at all.
If someone asked you that, could you answer it?
What she got in her.
Is that inappropriate?
I don't know.
What's under that hood?
And also who cares about what's the engine?
I don't know.
In 1949, RCA Victor begins selling the first 45 RPM record.
So those are the smaller ones.
I visited a great record store in Cincinnati.
I wish I could remember the name of that store.
But it had such a big selection of 45 records.
And you always see vintage full length records.
Man, this is like the second record store that you went into.
I love going into records.
Went into the one in Ferndale the other day.
That's why when you talk about like unloading your stuff, your possessions.
Yeah.
And I'm always leery because I would get in a mood and I'd be like yeah, I'm past all this
and I just remember taking a giant box of like 445s and just right into the dumpster.
Yeah.
Didn't even think about repurposing them or giving them.
But honestly, they're really not.
No, they're not.
But I mean, that was when I was like 21 and I was like, who cares anymore?
And I'm like, now I do.
I do something with them.
You didn't tell us that you went to that whatever the Superman location was.
Oh, I just stopped.
That was a little pop in.
That was a get out of the car and just take a picture.
Oh, got it.
In 1949, that happened 1971.
The first Starbucks coffee shop opens in Seattle's Pike Place market.
Just the Pike Place brew, right?
Doesn't say Pike's place isn't that a brand?
I don't have no coffee.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What else do we have?
Oh, 31 years ago in 1995, Selena killed and Corpus Christi by the founder of her fan club.
It wasn't so crazy.
It's so insane.
It was like, you saw the movie, right?
She was really good.
Yeah.
Like, more than worshiped her, she was obsessed with her and she was going to lose her job
because she was stealing from the charity.
You're stealing from whatever.
Yeah.
And she opted to do that instead.
I wonder if she's still in prison or alive.
Like she has.
Oh, yeah.
12 years ago in 2014, how about your mother aired?
It's final episode.
I never watched that show.
12 years ago then.
If you love that show and you just, you know, I didn't care that much about that show,
but in shrinking, Jason Seagull is in shrinking.
Yeah.
And his new love interest is girlfriend of the main character of like, so two people from
my neighborhood.
Yeah.
There are in shrinking and dating.
That's funny.
That's like, we already know this, but like last night, one of my favorite episodes of
Everybody loves Raymond was on.
And like, when Frank goes to the lodge, like most of the guys at the lodge are characters
from Seinfeld.
Yeah.
I mean, they're actors from Seinfeld.
That's true.
Yeah.
You know, like, like, Garvin is Uncle Leo, like, but the doctor that, you know, with the
junior men, I mean, he's like, they're all the same people.
That's so funny.
That's one of my favorite shows.
It's so good.
It's so good.
Yeah, it's funny.
It's really funny.
All right.
Let's do this.
100.3 WNIC.
Dearborn to trade.
Tigers.
Home opener.
Spriving.
Right now.
It's time for Hollywood Minute.
Chelsea has that brought to you this time around by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
Taylor Swift getting sued by Las Vegas performer named Made Wade for trademark infringement.
Now, she claims that she owns the rights to confessions of a showgirl, which was also
the name of a, like, a weekly column that she used to write back in 2014.
She's also used that as branding for, like, a live show, a touring production, all of
this stuff.
Yeah.
And she claims that Taylor and her camp know about this and went ahead with Life of a
Showgirl and the album and all the merch that went with it as well.
Well, Life of a Showgirl isn't confessions of a showgirl.
They're not the same.
They're confusing.
No.
No.
Of a showgirl, though, is really, I mean, I mean, that's really broad.
I mean, you could do stories of a showgirl and there are showgirls in Vegas that can all
use that story.
Is she going to sue Elizabeth Elizabeth, or showgirls, or what's Elizabeth's last name from
say by the bell?
Oh, God, it's going to drive you nuts.
One of the worst movies ever that I saw on the theater.
Okay.
Frozen 3 reportedly including a huge wedding.
Now, it's been previously rumored that Anna and Christoph were going to be getting married
and now the movie's directors have seemingly confirmed it.
So they were walking around the world of Frozen at Disneyland Paris and ran into the characters
Anna and Elsa.
And one of the directors said, we hear there are big wedding plans happening and the girl
who was portraying Anna said, oh, yes, all law flakes to be in charge of all the planning.
She told us that he and Christoph have been planning a really big surprise.
Is a love the snowman?
Yes.
Yes.
I should watch that movie someday.
Frozen 3 currently scheduled for release in 2020.
Did you get Elizabeth's last name?
Oh, um, it is Elizabeth Berkeley Elizabeth Berkeley.
There we go.
Zendaya officially hitting pause on her acting career next year.
She has so many projects coming out this year.
Four major blockbuster films plus the third season of HBO's Euphoria.
You said after this, I'm disappearing for a little bit, I have to go into hiding.
It's funny that TMZ, TMZ doesn't normally do click baity things, I mean, they pretty
much say it.
Yeah, right.
But they did have a click baity thing that got me the other over the weekend.
It said Zendaya and Tom Holland broken up and I was like, no way.
And when you clicked on it, they're talking about their characters in the new Spider-Man
movie.
It aren't together in the movie because I think all that stuff happened and they're starting
like anyway.
I was like, what any stuff happened and I don't know how their characters can be like that.
Well, you left the film.
I think you left early.
So that's probably why you don't understand.
Did she even go to the film?
Yeah, she went.
Oh, ABC.
There was a one time Allison was truly honest and said, I just don't want to go.
I'm going back to the room.
Oh, that's right.
She didn't even have an excuse.
That's right.
I don't know back to the room.
I'm not sitting in a three hour movie.
ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for a 23rd season extending its record as the longest running
primetime medical drama on American television.
The renewal, by the way, will have reduced episode count due to budget cuts.
It can be one of the top shows yet they still have budget cuts for their show.
It's crazy to me.
Have a cherry shepherd show is like the one of the most watched eight time dog shows.
And they're cutting that.
Doesn't make any sense.
I can't be in this conversation because it's just going to turn into a verbal tirade
against Dick Wolf.
Oh, God.
And finally, poor man will never stop seeing your wrath.
He had to break filming of Amazon MGM Studio's Tomb Raider has been temporarily halted due
to a minor injury sustained by lead actress Sophie Turner.
She is going to be fine, but they're just allowing her a little bit of time to recover.
TV tonight, we have Will Trent and NCIS.
Kelsey, thank you so much.
Good morning from 100.3 WNIC.
Could we survive some survival tips we've known our whole lives will discuss that.
Are you familiar with the Midwest?
Goodbye and the Fox two news headlines, but first Allison's bubble.
I'm going to tell you two bubbles.
Two bubbles today, a bubble, bubbles, flowers and war.
Oh, love it coming up.
Up to 72 degrees.
All right, what's in Allison's bubble today?
I have to because I just thought they were both interesting.
First of all, when countries do nice things for each other, maybe a little too long,
the Netherlands gives Canada 20,000 tulips every year as a thank you for protecting the
Dutch Royal family in World War II.
Enjoy these tulips.
Yeah, still holding strong today.
Still doing it.
Lovely.
You kept the Dutch Royal family safe.
Thank you.
And then also if you find yourself in a war, if you play dead in order to kill or capture
an enemy in a war scenario, you're committing a war crime according to the Geneva Convention.
Really?
So you don't get to lay down and play dead.
You fight.
So they start walking towards you and then you go not dead killing you can't do it.
Wow.
I would think that's a great technique.
Yeah, but the Geneva Convention says it is not.
I disagree with that.
Well, you were in war.
I don't know if we still, I don't know if we still follow the Geneva Convention anymore,
but well.
Gentlemen, we are at war.
Don't play dead.
That's crazy.
