2:05And Florida Gators face the Campbell, Biden Camels on Saturday and Campbell, by the way, two or no going into this game. Two and no going into this game after a year where they went two and ten last year. They won week one at East Tennessee State 4937 and then this past week, or they won week zero, sorry, and then week one, they beat Western Carolina 28 to 19 in a pretty sloppy game. It was a pretty sloppy game. I think we can all say that three turnovers by the quarterback, but the coolest name in the book, Camden six killer. This is an FCS team. It's a team where you are supposed to absolutely dominate. And I sent this message to the insider program before. If you are in a place that has a college player prop availability, I would look at a guy

3:10like Duke Clark's rushing yards. If it's available, I don't know if they're available for FCS games and all that. But I will say that, yeah, I look for Duke Clark. This is going to be a game where the Florida Gators rushing attack is going to absolutely dominate, not just because they should dominate, but because Campbell plays a defense that has a lot of three three stack, right? They will sometimes bring a jack on there. But especially against Western Carolina, they ran a lot of just three three stack, which is that that like typically I call it a big 12 defense because it's what you used to see a ton of in the big 12. You see less of it now. But I think that's just the way the game has gone. But it's it's that you know, three down line men, three stand up linebackers, three safety's high and two outside corners or you know, three down guy, three down line and

4:10two linebackers and nickel, your three safeties that are high, like your three high there, your outside corners that set up. Campbell runs that, okay? And so Campbell runs that defensively. And that's going to leave the door open for what kind of kind of getting stomped a little bit in the ground game. That yeah, I think Florida is going to be able to be really productive there whenever they do run the football because again, this is Campbell, right? It's an FCS program. This is the team that you're supposed to be able to just say, Hey, we're going to line it up right inside zone and be incredibly productive if you want. Like that, that's the kind of game that you get. That's what FCS games are where it's like, Hey, we can go out there and tell you the play. You should not be able to stop us or even slow us down. Okay? And I will say this, Campbell has some guys that seem that seem pretty good.

5:14Again, one of their players is an ad rushery's number 37, Devanya Pettis that played in their first game against East Center against East Tennessee State did not play in swestern Carolina, not sure if he was banged up or whatever it may be. But in that first game, he was their jack, right? And then the second game he wasn't available and they did not go with a four man front often. He saw a linebacker AJ Benton would come down every now and then. But this was not this like this was not a defense. I was trying to go with the four man front very often. I did have Kaylen Villanueva in the second game or VNW in the second game. And he looked pretty good. I'm not going to like again, I know that this is compared to other FCS defenders, right? But this is a Campbell defense that probably won't have much of a real positive impact,

6:17no matter what, right? They have guys that I think they look a lot better this year than they did last year. John Sarmall mentioned that in the Monday press conference where he was just like, look, we can throw away the tape from Campbell last year and just watch this year, which I appreciate him saying because I was going to do that anyway. I try not to watch when I, because I've been writing about these games and previews for free on swampsignal.substack.com where I talk about the players and I talk about the scheme and kind of how that lines up. And so I wasn't going to look at last year anyway. I'm going to be honest with you. I wasn't going to look at last year's offense or defense anyway, just because what you did last year, just not necessarily dictate what you're going to do this year, especially Campbell, head coach, Braxton Harris. He's in year three. Like, he's hopefully figured some things out after two rough years. I mean, he won three games this first year. He won two his second. He's already got two. And he's not going to make it three this week, but genuinely, this is a Campbell team

7:20where I don't know FCS talent across the board, but I will say there were enough flashes from guys where I went, he's probably going to get G5 offers. There was one or two guys, I was like, maybe low power for a offer coming in for him. So I think the fact that there's some of those guys, again, I don't know, like they could be there because they were academically knowledgeable or something like that. Like there could be a bunch of reasons for why they're there. But there were enough guys from like, all right, they showed some flashes where I'm going to say, maybe they got some guys out there that can make a play, makes them impact. And I think, like I mentioned before their quarterback, who we'll talk about later, and then six killer. He is someone that is one of those guys. There's times where Campbell six killer looks pretty damn good, I'm not going to lie. There's also times where he looks really not, okay?

8:23But there's times where he looks really good. Again, this Campbell defense is one that just schematically they were screwed to begin with and town wise they're going to be screwed to begin with, right? You can have the talent they have against the talent of the Florida has. And no matter what your scheme is, you're probably going to get your ask it. But if your scheme is a three three stack, you are definitely going to get your ask it. I will also say to give them absolute credit for what they do. They have a defensive tackle who plays nose tackle, by the way, like outright he is lined up as a zero head up on the center very often. He is five foot 11, which is my height, 290 pounds, 511, 290 pounds, Logan Wright, number nine, right on the right on the interior. He's a dude, okay? He's a fun dude to watch. I don't think he's one of those guys where I go, yeah, like a G5 team is going to come

9:26call him for you, right? 511, 290, you've got those restrictions that if you don't have the elite athletic traits, you're not going to overcome them. And I do think Logan writes there. But I also do think that he is a fun watch to just see him out there, honestly. 511, 290, when he first came up, there was the first play that I watched on defense. And I was just like, what the hell is going on there? I was like, that dude looks tiny. And yeah, he's 511, 290. But they've got again, they've got some fun players. They've got guys that they use in different ways. Their scheme is pretty fun. And we can talk a little bit more about it tomorrow, I guess. We are going to talk about their pass rush because I don't think they have a great pass rush, right? And again, I don't think that this is a game where you're going to take a ton of value from things. But I do look at it as, hey, let's get reps in with certain things, right? If there was anything that you did in the FAU game that the coaching staff did not like,

10:28I want you to use the Campbell game to get live reps of trying to correct that issue. If there was a communication thing, I want you to use the Campbell game to get that. That's the point of the Campbell game being, like that's one of your FCS game being the week after your G5 game. Your G5 game, you get like a soft opening, right? You get like a soft opening to the season, you get to try things out, see what happens, see where it goes. And then that game, you evaluate what happened, you say, hey, we sucked at this area. How do we improve there, right? And you work on that during the week, go into the Campbell game and continue trying to improve there in live game situations, see how you are in week two in those live game situations, because you have a SEC play starting next week. So this is what the Campbell game is for. It is repping things, right? And I will say that again, this was also not a thing that was part of the plan or anything.

11:30But Campbell is a fun team to have to rep against, because there's going to be times where they're making you think about stuff. And I think there's value in that. I do. I think there's value in saying, hey, we have a new offensive system, a new defensive system. We need to improve in certain areas. Let's get some live reps in. Let's get live reps against opponents in game and see what happens. You're going to get those looks. They are going to get some looks and some reps that you're going to need to communicate for. And again, I think it's great. I want you to get those reps. And FCS Campbell is not going to be able to challenge you, talent wise, right? But they can challenge you, scheme wise. And the offensive line is going to get some fun looks here. We're going to talk about it when you get back with back on Gators.

14:33And we're talking about what Campbell is going to bring to the table before you, right? This is going to be a game where again, you cannot talent wise challenge Florida. Okay? Campbell is not a team that is going to challenge Florida talent wise. The only way in which they might be able to challenge Florida is scheme. And by that, I mean, with the Campbell defense, you are going to see a lot of those three down looks like I talked about, right? When you run the ball, it's going to be pretty simple. We're going to plow them. We're going to just mow them down. Okay? When you are throwing the football, it's a little bit different because when you are throwing, when you're running the ball, you dictate who's going where, right? Like they could try things, but you know, hey, we're going downhill. We're attacking you. We're going to make the plan on you. We're blocking you in this direction.

15:35When you talk about past protection, well, sometimes it's a matter of drop and wait for someone to come in your vicinity, right? Sometimes it's, hey, that's your guy. You watch him, right? Like if you're running back, it's like, hey, that's linebacker. That's you. And there's a few things where you can, I guess, try to scheme pressures we can talk about, right? And Campbell, they're trying to scheme pressures. Their defensive line runs a ton of stunts. Okay? And I would almost imagine that they run them even more against Florida just because you're again trying to make people think and communicate and pass off stunts. And you have to try to find an advantage anyway you can, right? You do that. If you're Campbell, you've got to go, okay, how can we find an advantage? That's how, right? We make them communicate, we make them screw up.

16:35That's it. And if they don't properly communicate, then they're going to have some screw ups. Again, this isn't a game where I'm like, oh, Campbell might win. I'm not doing that. But I am saying there are some areas where you can challenge, right? Like Long Island last year against Florida. They were getting into the backfield a bit because they were running stunts and they were using a movement front. Campbell's going to do the same thing. I almost feel like, and I can't say this, you know, backtually because I don't watch a lot of FCS games, but I almost feel like at the FCS level, you're probably more likely to run a lot of stunts. Offensive lines need to communicate more. They need to be better prepared against stunts there and at that level, they're probably not right? But also typically guys with a ton of size are at least getting some kind of FPS look. And so at the FCS level, you're probably significantly smaller than most, right?

17:36And so that's just a thought that I'm having. I'm not saying that's factual at all. I'm not saying that's factual at all. But it's like one of Campbell's starting defensive alignment who has the most defensive line snaps played for them this year. He is 6'4", 260. I think that's not big at all. Logan Wright is 5'11", 2'90". Tavila's Curry is 6'1", 2'75. Like these are not big dudes, right? They're not. They're not big guys. And so I do think that having that movement front helps you because you're creating pressure where you can. And you're going to get fun looks. I'm going to call them fun. And I was not expecting to see anything really fun when watching Campbell. They're quarter back again. Like he popped a bit. But they're defensive. They're defensive pressure packages were fun like their past rush plan is fun. I'm a big fan of stunts and there were a lot of stunts.

18:39I wish they were more talented. I say that I wish they were more talented because they do some fun things that if they were more talented would be really fun. Like they have this one cover, it was cover one. It's both edges rush to the outside, four down, two line backers. Both edges rush like outside the offensive tattles. So to create that little space right spread them out. There's the four eye on the side of the jack. The slants in first stunt the zeros slants out like loops around him. And that's their stunt. And then you have one of the off ball backers blitzes into the be gap on the other side. And so if that's not a thing that you've prepared. Or you've prepared for or you've communicated properly. You can get exposed there. They're rushing five. They're rushing five with a stunt.

19:42And then off ball blitzer coming in from the interior that stunts on the interior. There's just a lot of messiness and muddiness. And again, it's pretty fun to watch. I'm not going to lie. I do wish they were more talented because I think they'd be more effective. That play also had the linebacker and man coverage on the running backs. I imagine if the running backers in pass pro he probably would have probably a rush. So he just heard like a weird noise. It's because I dropped the microphone. I caught it though before before before it fell. So there's that. But Campbell does have some fun stuff in their game. I do. Again, I do want Florida to be prepared for this again. This is not a game where Campbell's ever going to challenge you talent was. But they can win some reps with scheme. And that's the thing, right? Like that's what I do like that you're going to see a lot of stunts. Because you're going to get a live experience passing them all. You're going to see off ball blitzes. You're going to get live experience again. This is a three three stack. That doesn't mean that they're rushing three all the time.

20:43There are three three stack, but they do oftentimes send an off ball rusher so that they're still at least rushing four. A lot of times you're going to see a stunt on the line and an off ball rusher coming in somewhere. So you're going to see it a lot. It's going to be a hey, you got to be prepared. You have to be communicative. And if Florida is communicative. Well, they they should be able to handle things properly and be able to dominate up front, which again, they're still going to dominate. I've no doubt about that. But I do want to see like. If if Campbell gets through with the like the pressure that I just described, let's say. If Campbell gets through with that. Then other teams better teams will run that same pressure against you. Like that, that's going to say other teams will run that same pressure. And so getting prepared for whatever scheme you may see. That's the important part in this game.

21:43The Florida Gators defense. Also going to need to be disciplined. We're going to talk about that me get back with blackboard Gators. Johnson, I'm always someone that mentioned, hey, you know, last time I facem me ran the option up and down the field on me. And you're still going to see some of that, right? Johnson, I'm all mentioned, yeah, they're going to test our keys. Right. And part of that is going to be, or one of the keys, I guess we'll say, is going to be how you defend the option, right? There's a couple schools of thought. I think you could say where Some teams are gonna say hey always just sit on the like if you're an unblocked edge just always just sit And and let the quarterback hand the ball off, right? Because a lot of times you're gonna talk about like a zone read read option whatever You sit on the edge That means quarterback's gonna hand the ball off and that means that it's basically just

23:47Just inside zone, right? Basically, that means Quarterback like yes, you're out of the play because you're sitting on the edge But inside zone is there and you've still got backside contained backside responsibility, right? Whereas if you collapse in quarterback's taking it you will see teams where they'll collapse in for the quarterback to take it But you've actually got a linebacker looping around the backside And then they are the guys gonna come make that stop if you hand it off So you're gonna see stuff like that This is an offense that you're going to see a lot of counter GT and GH so similar to what we've seen from Florida's run game Buster Faulkner's run game you're going to see some counter there. You are going to see a lot of RPOs And it's an offense that they run RPOs that are Shrickly hand the ball off or throw the ball or Hand the ball off or throw the ball or keep it yourself if you're the quarterback And so there's gonna be a lot of options there. Camden six killer their quarterback like I've said

24:48I Was impressed with what I saw from right? I was impressed with I saw from them Throughout the overwhelming majority reps. I hit three picks last week I'm gonna say one was on him And so I think that candacex killer is someone that looked pretty damn good in both of the games I think the first game that we talked about I remember sending a message on it I was like all right, he's pretty good like he's got in both games. He completed 28 passes Like as in each not combined so 56 completion so far he should have I'm gonna say 62 based on on what I would consider drops 60 based on what pf would consider drops But can a six-killer kind of makes that offense go round right not not an insane arm But a good enough arm to make throws. I do think that he was someone that showed good pocket presence and good awareness there

25:48Again, he is someone that Has tools like I said like he's someone that I do think that a G5 school will probably come calling I think he's got one year left after this a G5 school probably come calling say hey man Let's try to get you some film out there, right? Let's have a good rep Good rusher by the way Camden six-killer is Right now he's unsurprisingly leading Campbell in passing yards is 668 Four touchdowns three interceptions. He is also leading Campbell in rushing yards with 17 carries 114 yards three touchdowns That is part of that run scheme. It's gonna be pretty fun to watch again. Like I said like I like it You're gonna see a lot of pre-snap motion One thing you're gonna see is a lot of pre-snap motion that goes to a wheel route because they go up with that You're gonna see split zone you're gonna see split zone read you're gonna see RPO split zone slide Which is that tight end that comes across on split zone? He actually keeps going into the flat and then you get to dump it off to him

26:50Quarterback run game like I said, it's gonna be pretty fun You're gonna see There's the first game Got pretty much salted away with a KB rap That was a long rush was like 40 yards something like that Yeah 42 yards. So you're gonna see you're gonna see plays that better built to gender explosives And canvassie's killer does that right? I will also say that Ethan Lawrence one of their running backs I wrote down as a great. He's got a little bit. He's got a little bit to him But the offensive line just not help him out And then at receivers they have a running back that has the second most catcher in the team, but he does not run the football And neither of their running backs that run the football are really used to catch the football either so it's just really interesting Like one running back is nine catches eight carries One has 19 carries no catches one has 17 catches two carries or sorry 17 carries two catches

27:55And so it seems like very clear distinct roles with these backs But again, there are offensive lines just not good enough and look like if if you are the type that wants to look up like the pf grades for Campbell Their past blocking grades are gonna be really good that that's an important factor or that's it's important to add context to that because It's it's quick game oftentimes and then PA shots which I wrote about this, but they run they use run action a lot Which is play action, but where like the guard comes across and pulls as if you're running power so that if there's a linebacker or safety that's watching the guard They see you pull they think run they come down They run a lot of run action at that and it sells power I don't remember seeing them run power More than maybe a handful of times Which is just Interesting like that's the only I could just say that's that's just interesting Because I feel like if you brought the guard across or if you brought the if you brought the tight end across as well

29:00Then you're selling that hey, we're running GH counter And and that you might actually want to come commit to this right Um, but the the offensive line just leaves a lot to be desired. That's it. Just frankly I'm surprising again fcs teams typically don't have awesome offensive line You typically do get some guys that are Pretty good, you know quarterback receiver right like seal position guys That for whatever reason didn't get looks offensive line less to be less less available because there's guys again like defensive line You have size you're gonna get some looks um, but Campbell again not a great team I don't know what they're gonna finish with record wise um, they are not talented enough to hang with Florida But their scheme creates Opportunities for Florida to get better right again mentally like yes You even the way that they execute things is not going to be as good as how other teams do it But if they like almost win a rap

30:00Running a blitz or or specific pressure package I would imagine that all burn is gonna say okay. Let's run that and we have better athletes So we'll be more men better players overall and so Will be more impactful there You can see stuff like that But overall again, I think Florida's gonna kick the absolute crap out of them. This should be a huge game I don't want any of the starters really playing up for half um just go out there kick their ass call out of the That's it get do clerk reps get by in the loose reps get lend them a gum re reps get everybody reps um and especially get the true freshman reps Wherever you can get true freshman reps and let them again like this should be a game where you just absolutely Wreck them and Florida will no doubt about that.
