Foligno's Bittersweet Return to United Center

Nick Fulino, the former Chicago Blackhawks captain, made a quick return to the United

Center on March 17th.

He had been traded to the Minnesota Wild at the trade deadline and now faced his old

team as a visitor.

The 38-year-old forward brought him nicks of nostalgia and competition to the arena.

Before the game, Fulino stopped by the Blackhawks morning skate to say hello.

He even shared dinner with some teammates the night before at a spot called Lira, where

young star Connor Bedard picked up the tab.

It was a heartfelt reunion just days after the trade.

Blackhawks players expressed mixed feelings.

They are thrilled for Fulino, who they called a key leader on the team, now chasing a

Stanley Cup alongside his brother Marcus in Minnesota.

Still seeing him in a wild sweater-felt strange, and they planned some good nature trash talk

on the ice.

Fulino shared his own emotions too.

He called the return, bittersweet, grateful for his time in Chicago, and the leadership

role he held.

He cherished the organization, the staff, and the fans even through tough seasons.

Despite the warmth, everyone knows business comes first.

The Blackhawks aim to shut him down for a win, while Fulino plans to battle hard once

play starts.
