During debate, Missouri Republican Senator Eric Schmidt discussed his amendments, which
include banning transgender women from women's sports and bans gender transitioning
surgery for minors.

Democrats like Virginia Senator Mark Warner were initially focused on the initial premise
of the act, requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote.
This effectively, frankly, guts online in mail-in voter registration process that are
available across many states, creating, I think, an unnecessary burden for all voters.
Saying he believes this will disenfranchise millions of voters.

three and three quarters percent.
