Oh Oh Turn Steve probably got to turn around Come on Come on

I show will a good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice. Come on, dig me now. I want it all in Steve Harvey. Got a radio show. Okay. Today is simple. I want to tell you. I want to just talk to you about effort today. Just about effort. You know, it's it's it's it's it's a word that people use to describe of sometimes trying. But what I found out about trying is trying is just a noble way of saying you didn't get it done. I tried. When and then everybody go well, he tried. He that was the best. Well, that's that's not exactly true though. That that's that's not exactly true. You all and I want to I want to talk to you about that because I don't want you to be one of the people who just tried. See trying.

I mean, I got to tell you to attempt something you're going to have to first try. But I want you to change your mindset from trying to getting it done. See, that's that's a big difference. I'm really more apt to listen to the person that says to me, I'm going to get it done. I'm going to try what try does is it allows you to fail. It's the person that has the mindset that I'm going to get it done. It's the person who changes the complexion of things. I'm going to get it done is very different than I'm going to try. You know, look, man, I know this sounds a little harsh. But you got to stop feeding yourself these little old wise things that ain't it was a valiant try. Hey, man, you talk to anybody that took second place in the Super Bowl and see how they feel about their value and try. The only way to gain God's real blessings is you have to try something.

Steve, you backpedaling. Now, listen to me close. You have to put forth an effort to allow God to put his finger on something to bless on your behalf. You must start to attempt. Now, insane getting it done and I'm going to try. That's a different of two different faiths to me. That's I'm just talking about me now. You may be different. So I can't I can't say this about you, but I can't say this about me. If I say I'm going to get it done, I have a lot of faith in it. I am going to get it done because I just don't see failure as an option a lot of times. Now, if somebody says to me like out the Olympic team invited me out to curl one day, which is throw these stones on the ice. If you're not familiar with this verse, and so I said,

man, I'd like to give that a try. I went in full well knowing I may not come away from this little curling lesson as a person who could make the Olympic team. I just wanted to try it because I thought it looked cool and always wanted to get it done. Well, I failed twice. I threw a stone completely into the other lane. I lost that little ice shoe. It shot up, Monday me. But you know what? I kept trying though. I kept trying until I got four of them stones in that circle right where I ain't. But now had I given up after I failed, after I threw that stone in the other lane, after I shot my shoe down all the way to the bottom side, the little ice shoe they give you. I never did it. But because I was trying something got me together a little bit because of my effort, and it caused me not to fall the next time, not to throw it in the other lane,

not to shoot my shoe to the back of the wall. All of a sudden, my trying became something. Now had I stayed out there and it wasn't so cold and I went back week after week after week after week, I promise you I could get it done. I could at least know how to compete in a game of curling. Might not be the best. I might not win the championship. But I could have got it done to the point where I could have competed in a game of curling. So sometimes if you scared to say I'm going to get it done, just go out there and get started. Learn from every attempt that you make. See don't quit writing yourself off as a failure every time something don't go right. When I fell on that ice, I could have said, man, I can't curl. But hold up, man, I'm watching four of the women out here curl, four of the dudes out here curl. I look at you as I did curling. Hold up, partner. You know, man, so I learned when I threw that stone on the other ice when I when I failed when when my shoe shot off.

I learned from every attempt a little bit more about it. And then I said to myself one point time, man, I'm going to get the stone in that circle. I'm going to get the stone in this circle. And guess what? I got it done. Now what you saying to me, Steve, I'm saying to you that you got to get started, that you got to put forth an effort. Give God something to bless. Oh God, bless me. Oh God, bless me. Bless you. What? Bless you. Where? Bless you. How? Stop basing your results on what you're thinking. You got to think higher. You get God in your life, man. He allows you to think higher, bigger, better, more. I'm sitting up in my debt. I came up with a plan to get out of debt in five years. I came up with this plan, right? I was sitting up and I was tripping on it. Now I said, wait a minute, man, hold on. This is what I came up with. I said, God created heaven and earth, all of it.

The mountains, the sky, the valleys, the oceans, trees, the birds, the Indian ocean, all of it, made all of it. In six days. And then he rested on the seven. So why am I taking to God the five-year plan? If he can create heaven and earth in six days, why am I walking in there and talking about helping me in five years? How is it going to take God five years to get me out of debt and he made heaven and earth in six days? Do the math, Hill, man. I ain't that big. You ain't that big. You ain't in that much trouble. I ain't in that much trouble. See, God got a way of showing you some things, man. But it's going to take some faith and faith going to take some effort on your part. Man, get out and do something, man. You've got to bless you a little bit and give you a little bit more courage. And then all the attempts you make in this going, and all this, oh, I try.

You know what they're turning to? I'm going to get it done. And at the end of the day, that's what you have to do. Because trying to pay your rent and not paying your rent is two different things. You can try to play your pay your rent or you can get it done. Now, how long you think you're going to stay in that house trying? You've got to go with your mind, say, to get it done. And if you can put some stuff out there and give God a chance to put his finger on and bless it for you, the most stuff you can do for you. Quit looking around at what everybody else got and going to get some of it for yourself. Okay? All right. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ladies and gentlemen, this morning will be a special morning. I'm welcoming new members to the show. People who catch tune up, welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Kitty Cat Trainers, welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All the former dancers at HBCUs, Flag Girls, Poppets, whatever.

Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. To any woman who had a really, really cute, sexy, nickname back in college. But if they see you today and they will still call you that, welcome, girl. Thank you for holding on. If you had a sexy cute nickname and you don't match that name, no, mo, thank you, girl. Thank you for holding on. Everybody, welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is how we do it up in Hill, baby. This is all welcome and party. This morning field with nothing to gratitude. Oh, man, oh, man, oh, man, I told God today how much I appreciate. I'm going through some things, but I'm grateful anyway. That's what you've got to learn how to do. You've got to be grateful even if you're going through some things. The thing I'm going through ain't no worse than nobody else's thing. You just got to be grateful anyway. God been good to me, man. He gonna pull me through it anyway. That's a good thing about God. This too, she'll pay. Oh, look. What?

I'm struggling. You said the people who came little today, nick name. You know, that's just that happens like that. You know, like your nickname used to be little bit. Well, you know, no, man. But you're still calling you little bit. Come on. This is all good. You got to let these nicknames go. Charlie Strawberry, Colin Ferrell, Mississippi Monica, Junior Boy, the legend that is in their few tonnets. Junior, it's a lot on your mind this morning. Probably, yeah. Probably, but no, his out of my mind is you. You said let your nickname go. And you cool with saying it up. If people feel I started the way you said it. Well, you know, it's like, you know, it's that vice too. You know, it's if you ain't little bit no more. That's it. Yeah, your name, your nickname was little bit when you was growing up. Well, little bit in spread. Now your nickname ain't little bit is like mo. Really sick. College. You said college nickname. Yeah, your college nickname was little bit.

And now all of a sudden you lot mo. You know, college your nickname was dimples. Well, now your nickname is dim. Oh, the problem. Yeah, you know, it switches up, you know, uh huh. Because I got dimples, but I had enough face fat. What they did. They was. So I went from dimples to crease. Let me see. Yeah, see if I lost a little weight though. So I got him back a little bit. But it was just a line at one point. You just a line went from here all the way up on the hill. But I got really two faces. I lost weight. All right, ladies, I we started the day walk. I'm going to be a little bit more. Ladies, I'm just starting the day walk. Come on, dimples. Coming up at 32 minutes after the hour.

What you got for his nap? Oh, Triacity. Cat Dog, give you a, run it. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Marvin, please. Yeah, it's Marvin speaking. Marvin, hi, I'm calling you from Doc's office. I'm actually the lab technician. And you came in and got a physical, I guess, about a couple of weeks ago? Yeah. Okay, and it's my understanding this is for your occupation, correct? Yeah. Okay, what do you do for a living when you're a... Oh, yeah, I'm a truck driver. Okay. Now, I was giving you a call about, I'm here looking at your records and all the testings that you actually went through. Wow. Let's see, have you had any activity or any problems around your naval area? No, I've been fine. Okay. Everything's all right, huh? Yeah, everything's fine, but I mean, you haven't had any type of, nothing, no breakout or anything around your naval or whatsoever. No, man, second time you asked me about my naval.

No, everything's going straight, man. Okay. So you were going on, man, what was that? Okay, actually, you've been diagnosed with, um, Octriocidus. And Octriocid... Octriocidus is actually a fungus that comes out of South America. And you have no activity whatsoever around your naval? No, man, what happened to the same thing, man? Octriocidus. It's Octriocidus, sir. And what... What that is, is actually, if you haven't had it yet, you say you haven't had any activity, there's going to be like a small little tree that's going to be growing from your naval. And it gets about six inches long and it probably bears probably about 25 to 30 leaves on it, but it's very small. Well, wasn't that bad, Bob? You say a tree going to be growing on my naval. It's going to be a small tree and what's going to happen is I'm going to have to get you to come back in. Probably in the next month, we're going to need you to come in so we can check it out. But it's got to grow its fullest potential before we can actually do anything to it. No, I can't come in and on my own.

I've got to come in today, man. Somebody got to choose my own, man. No, we get this problem resolved, man. I'm going to get married, man. Well, we can't, it has to grow its fullest potential, sir. And the full term is actually like about four weeks before we can ask, man, I'm not waiting for no four weeks, man. Somebody got to come to me. Something right. No, man. I ain't going to go married, man. I have to fly out of time, man. And how's something going on out of my naval, man? You all going crazy, man. Sir, Octrius, this is something that's very rare. We were actually getting this assignment from overseas and South America on how to treat this. I don't get where it is, man. Somebody's going to have to come give me some help right now, man. I'm going to get ready to get married, man. I'm not going to be putting up with it, man. Somebody in this office, man, got to come down here and do something for me, man. And what you say, Kelly, if you say I could cut it out myself. Sir, the best I can do is probably trim it a bit, you know, and maybe knock a few leaves off, but I cannot touch the full stalk at all. Man, you can cut this for the bad day, do something for the bad day. Sir, if you cut it, it's as opposed to it right now, man.

You cannot, sir. If you cut it, there's a possibility of him regime, and you're going to really create a bigger problem than what you have already. Man, I'm trying to get this to a job, man. If you didn't kill me, can't nobody in that **** where I've grabbed on there and get this **** to a job, man. I'm trying to get married in two weeks, man. We're from the flat, did you make it? It can't now. Somebody can do this for me. I can't do this. Sir, you cannot pull it out. You're going to create **** dead, man. You're going to create a bigger problem if you try to pull it out, sir. The **** problem is already there. I'm trying to get this **** out, man. You mean you're telling me that **** **** has been laying down **** dead, man. If you want me to do it, man, it's not something that I've **** done. I'm glad of my **** coming. And you're telling me that **** you can do, man. Sir, Oak triosid is not something that we treat all the time. Like I said, it hails from South America. So we got, I don't give a **** for the hell of a great brother. Somebody that **** has been for a day to come down here and help me pull the **** out, man. Sir, I understand what you're going through, but we have to let it grow its full term, which is four weeks, sir.

The full root of it. I'm having to grow, man. I ain't some little **** grow, man. **** and grow down right now, man. Y'all **** going to have to do something, man. Sir, there's nothing we can do. We can probably trim it a little bit. You're trying to get some **** train, so I'm going to just ****, man. Do something. Sir, there's nothing we can do at this point, but sit back and wait and let it grow its full term, okay? Can we get you? Sir, can we get an appointment for you in the next four to five weeks and we do that? Sir, I understand it. And like I said, Oak triosid is very rare. I'm going to get married. I'm going to get married. I'm going to fly to Jamaica. Now I can't have no **** chicken out of me. I can't sit at the ****. Now I'm poor, man. You going embarrassed me like that, man. Sir, I understand it. And like I said, Oak triosid is very rare. And it's something that we haven't treated that many times here in the States, but overseas, the message that we're getting is that we need to let it grow its full term. So we may have told me, ain't nobody in America got Oak treat. What the **** is the name of that **** man?

It's Oak triosid is sir. So how the **** I hear it? If there's nobody else in the **** America, you got it. Sir, I could not believe that you were coming up with Oak triosid is here in the States. It's something very rarely seen here. There's been two people in the past. There's been dog notes with this and they actually passed away. So now you tell them, what the **** is the ****? The dive **** and you're going to kill me three **** weeks. Man, I'm coming down another day, man. Somebody for the do something for me. Sir, there's nothing that we can do today until four to five weeks of ****. I got to go get married. I'm flying to Jamaica, man. Did you ****? I just said, man. I'm here and what you're saying. But I can't do anything. If you don't see the tree already coming out of the navel yet. Cut the **** down with **** somebody got to do something now. Now what you want me to do, man? I don't know what I want you to do, sir, but I have one more thing I can tell you. Yeah, what you got to say, man. Are you listening? I'm listening to you, man. This is nephew timing from Steve Harvey morning show you just got pranked by your boy, Error.

Man, you gotta be ****. Man, I'm gonna **** you, man. I'm gonna **** you out my way. Man, **** you too, nephew timing, man. God **** man. God **** be going crazy. Yo, man. I'm looking out of my name with the tree for the grouch. I'm gonna have man. No, you ain't no now right now. Man, I'm already never gonna get mad in two weeks. I got one more thing to ask you, Marvin, man. What is the baddest? I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land. Steve Harvey's morning show. Error. If you're listening, you're **** asses. I have to read. Yeah, yeah, you out of that. Thank you. Coming up next in his ass, the CLO, our chief love officer Steve Harvey is in the building to answer your love questions right after this.

On big lives, we take a single cultural icon. People like Jane Fonda, George Michael, Richard Pryor. And we pull apart the story behind the image. And we do this by digging through the BBC's vast archive. We're talking iconic moments in broadcast history. I'm not just a boxer. I'm educating. I can talk all week on millions of subjects. And forgotten interviews that change how we see these giants of our culture. Well, if changing the system from the ground up is revolutionary, then I'm revolutionary. I'm Dr. Elizabeth Pointer, Chair of Women's Health and Gynecology at the Adriah Health Institute in New York City.

On this show, I'll be talking to top researchers and top clinicians, asking them your burning questions and bringing that information about women's health and midlife directly to you. A hundred percent of women go through menopause. It can be such a struggle for our quality of life. But even if it's natural, why should we suffer through it? The types of symptoms that people talk about is forgetting everything I never used to forget things. They're concerned that one they have dementia, and the other one is, do I have ADHD? There is unprecedented promise with regard to cannabis and cannabinoids to sleep better, to have less pain, to have better mood, and also to have better day-to-day life. Listen to Decoding Women's Health with Dr. Elizabeth Pointer on the iHot Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you're listening now. Dear Hunnies, this is goodbye. In February of 2024, celebrated illustrator and children's book author, Patre Mathers, and her husband Michael,

nailed letters to dozens of friends and family members to let them know that they had died by suicide. By the time you get the shalliter of both Petra and I will be dead. Next stop, Wonderland. Patre and Michael were by all accounts healthy, happy, and in love. Why did they do it? And what did it do to the people they left behind? I would have given a million reasons to not leave this world had I known. I keep coming back to a truly hope that Patre was a thousand percent on board with the plan. Do you think of him as having killed her? Yes, I do. I hold Michael responsible for my mother's death. I'm Leon Nefak. And I'm Alice Gregory. Together we set out to interview everyone who got one of Patre and Michael's letters. As one married couple, trying to understand another. Hanna in Macon writes, My husband and I planned a trip for two, the two of us, and he invited his parents to go without asking me. We have Sunday dinner with them weekly, and they're at our house twice a week to use our home gym. We've only been married eight months. Do you think his parents will understand if I politely un-invite them? Hell no.

Hell no. They own. They do. But I'll tell you what though, they're over the house twice using the gym. You have a Sunday meal with them. Yeah, you married this little mama's boy. You ain't see the signs. You ain't see the signs. Hmm, how many eight months? See, most parents, you give your children space even before they get married so they can go up and develop on their own. And then once they married, you post a step away, man. You already know that. You don't want to buy them your house twice a month. Why don't you get a little ragged gym? Get your thigh massed and go on and sit down somewhere. No getting here will you old. They know what they're really doing. They're not gonna need the gym. Know how? They got all this little stuff online. You can order. Got them shake weights. Remember them weights you holding your hand. You shake them. Get your ass. Get your ass. Get your ass and get your thigh massed and go on about your business. Okay. If you uninvite her, it's gonna be a problem. Yeah, it's gonna be a problem.

What you have to do is go to your husband and tell your husband to uninvite her. You got a bit, but if you do it. And she said politely, how do you politely uninvite someone? Hey listen, my, my, my, my, my, my, I just want to talk to y'all. You know, we plan on taking y'all to that vacation. And I was just thinking, we don't really want y'all to come. So we was wondering if you could like give us an excuse why you couldn't come so we could uninvite you. Wow. Huh? No, I'm so sorry. I'm a dumb crap. I'm a dumb crap. It's just one big kiss. Not good. Now we'll stop looking forward. Stop. Just don't do that. All right. Moving on to Teresa and Charleston. Teresa says, I've been married for 12 years and I have gray hair on my head and everywhere else now.

It's not a big deal to me, but my husband wants me to get wax so he doesn't have to see it down there. Should I make him shave his gray hairs too? Wow. Yeah, yeah. But you need to get it off down there. Oh, okay. I don't think she's against it. She just wants to know, should she make her husband shave his too? I don't know why she's like that. Well, if he got something down there, it's got to go. My howl, y'all. They've been married for a year or eight, like 75 or something. I don't think so. I think they're a lot younger. They didn't put the age. They just said, how long they been married. Y'all might not be able to shave down there. You need to get some medical clearances. But you must know, he takes the cut down there and you two old, you ain't going to bleed. You know how long he take the heel down there? You know how that is? Ain't no act. Okay. Yeah. So if he got gray hair down his man part, he got the shave too. Yeah. That's only fair. Oh, oh, oh, he can get some Beijing and put it down there.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Y'all get told. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. We're moving on. Flip in Kansas City says, my wife isn't speaking to me after her male boss called her three times in one night, and on the third time I picked up the phone and told him that my wife was unavailable. I don't think I was wrong, but I hate that she's ignoring me. Do I have to apologize? No, you ain't got to apologize, but you calling three times. She ain't available though, but you won't. Mm-hmm. Yeah. At night after work hours, yeah. That's disrespect to them. Yeah. Yeah. And that man know it. Now, you need to find out two things. Number one is he married. Mm-hmm. Number two is he happily married. Okay. Number three. Number three. We are going to work in the morning. We are going. Yeah. Is he attracted to your wife? Yeah. Yeah.

And I think what you need to do and the way you find that is you go down there for lunch one day, just walking in and surprise him and ask to speak to her supervisor and say, hey, is it okay if I take my wife to work and just look him dead and I see what he's saying? Mm-hmm. And if he flinch, just knock his move out. I don't know if his wife will be out of work. Yeah. But why is she mad though? Why is she mad at her husband and ignoring him? Because she feels like he overstepped his vibes with her profession. But your husband know he didn't call three times in a week or nine. But he listened to the cons. He been in the air hustling. And all that conversation ain't been about work. I'm fine. Just sitting here and enjoying myself. You know, it was funny what they said at work. See, he didn't hear hustle the cop that so he would call him one more time. Shade of rape for what you need. Yeah.

Yeah. All right. LeVearn in Greenville last one, Steve. LeVearn in Greenville says, I work at the post office. And I noticed my neighbor gets a lot of money orders every month and he mails them out of town to the same address each month. Could he be cheating on his wife and sending the money to another woman? Why is that your business? Your job is that post office is to sort the mail and put it in the right thing so it can go where it's supposed to go. Why are you and this man's business by these funny orders? Do your job before because if you say something, he'll report you to the post office and you're going to be out of work. And your job is to deliver the mail. Rain, sleep, hail or snow. A thermometer. Your job ain't based on deliver the mail based on rain, sleets, hail, snow and what I know.

Oh, money orders. You just posted deliver the mail. Money orders ain't showed business. Oh, he's really overstepping. You know, Steve. This is a man that wrote this? A lever and green bill. Lever. Not a me. No, I said he. No. Leave that stuff alone and get out these people's business. You're the lever. Make me sick, lever. Got that old name anyway. She's old, lever. No hood, hail, name lever. Just sit your old, that's trying to be like you snoop it. You know you're a little bit dead. Don't fight your husband. Don't care about you now. You know. Yes. Hey. All right. Thank you, Steve. You'll find out what your husband said to his money orders too. Steve, are you having more than show, man? For it says, I've been sleeping with our yard man for a while and he doesn't like wearing protection.

We got into an argument about it and now he's not answering my husband's texts to come do our yard. How can he be so petty when he knows I'm man? What is going on here? Right here. Yeah. Y'all got to quit writing us with all this craziness acting like it's normal. Yes. You're not qualified Steve. Don't go on. What y'all want me to do? Yes. Y'all. I can't apply no rules to this stuff. Because y'all keep coming up with all this abnormal mess like his regular. It's all Steve on the Lord, she'll come to play that thing. All right. It's time for something funny and today it's going to be with Tommy and Junior and I think you guys have entitled this things you wish you still had. Yes. I'm entitled to the YBC. What's the YBC? What does that mean? The young boy is a common. YBC. YBC in the building.

YBC with things you wish you still had. Junior. What's that time? Boy, if I still had a page, you hear me? Oh my help. Today. I'll be bawling up in here, but I can't. I just wish I still had a page. Hang on. Yeah. Put your coat in. Yeah. You said I was going to give people messed up. Yeah. You want something now where you ain't got to worry about all that, you know, all that call and all that you want, but to hit you on here, I call you when I get rich. Oh, yeah. All right. I just had a page. Put your coat in. What I used to see, 69? No, man. No, I'm sorry. I got you. I love you, Tom. Yeah, that was the code. That, that. I just want stuff. I'm more active about right. No, stuff that, you know, now I'm doing stuff well. It's a little stressed and everything. I'm making a little more money and everything, but Lord, I still wish I had a card to regular gaze. I'll be on switch. I wasn't ready for supreme all the time. 91. Yeah, that 93 plus.

91, everything. If I just had a card, that just took regular, you know, if I get back down to 189 again, I get back down today. I'm not telling you, boy. No, when I, when I bought my truck, they didn't tell me he had to be all the time. If I could just get back to that thing, so you wish you still had that. Things you wish you still had. If I could just pop in a VHS tape, boy, you hear me pop it in and watch some of the greatest movies of all time. Right. VHS. To me, that's better than DVD. That's when you go back when a movie meant something. You went to blockbuster picked up your tape. Oh, yeah. Then you had to get it back the next day. You got two days. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. I was always late with that tape. Always. I actually bought multi than I had. Pandora stole this idea. Oh, Pandora already stole this idea. I really do wish I had a tape record. Uh-huh. Fuck just take my song. Don't have to hear the commercial.

Oh, yeah. Pandora coming after every second song. They got something they want to see. Man, just put the 10 songs where I want here. I don't have time. I'm not interested in socks. Shirts, shoes, ties, belts. I'm good. I don't want to, I just want to get the jolt of shit. I'm feigning. After that, I want to get to some loo-tha. I don't really see you had a tape record and you pause it. Let them get that out of the way. They're in plain. Uh-huh. That's all I want to get back to. All right. Let's go. I don't have it. I'll never have it again. What? But if I could just have a nice afro and put my raking it with the fist on it and walk around like that, if I could do that for a day, why be ballin? Oh, those days are over. Yeah. I know that. If I could have it, I'd wear me a nice fro woulda pick in it with the fist on the top of it. Got me. Get a man weave. That's all you have to do. You can do that. Sure. Man, living Baltimore. I got to fly up in the get it. I don't already call it. Oh, we live in Baltimore.

He live in Baltimore. The voice. What do you do, Tommy? He put out on your head. Yes. It looks real serious. It looks so real. I'm aware for about two days just to be ballin. I'm telling you watch me. You guys haven't seen it. You haven't seen it. No, I haven't. What did you show it? I showed you out of video. You got to see it. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. It really is. It is. So things we wish that we still had. What you got, Junior? I'll tell you the next thing I wish I still had. Hey, you know, I got that. I wish I had a woman who didn't want so much. I wish I had that. I used to date a parent who can nut about going out to expensive places. No, chillies is cool. I ain't been to chillies and stuff. No. They far know. Man, you're gonna get that two for 20. Now when you get two appetizers, two meals and two desserts, 20 bucks. I used to kill him in there. Boy, if I could bring that back. No, chillies, two for 20.

You know, remember that? Get that out of your mind. You know, I don't think I'm going back there. No, no, no. You said with the baby back, reeling what I was thinking. No, no, no. Because now, you know, you used to eat the rest of us. Now eat the rest of us now. And rest of us now. Well, all the lights is low. Yeah. They pay for them. I have to turn my section up. You take 30 off my bill. You turn your lights up. You give me some now. You know, you know, you're being the rest of us now. You got to take two elevators. Get to the top. Chillies, same flow. Everybody. I want to go over there. That's why I want to eat. No, two for twin. Hold on, miss. Alright, this is called things you wish you still had. Come on, miss. Well, I can't see it, but I'm going to see it. But I ain't supposed to see it. Uh-oh. Well, hell, what's new? Yeah. I'm like, uh-oh. What the hell? What? I just... I wish I had more than... Oh, hey, though. I already know what you're going to say. Go ahead. Please. More than Horn, Horn. That's... Oh, shit. Oh, shit.

You are really, really, really, really ridiculous with this. I'm going through the Horn, Horn, and Blues. You hit me. I can't... You can run for me over here. This is just... I'm just saying, I'm weird. I messed up. I wish I had. I ain't got it. I'm just saying, I'm just... And you're comfortable with saying this aloud. Yeah, all right. I'm just... Wow. Molding Horn, Horn, Horn, and Squat. Wow, done. Quit questioning, anyway. Yeah. You wish. And I... Can we question? Wow. I'll tell you what I... Wow. I'll tell you what I've made up. I ain't going to say that by here. There are no words. He's... Yeah. But here's something I'm sure that I've made. Yeah. This is important to me. Didn't with women, don't... All right. That was good, guys. Things you wish you still had. Thanks YBC. That's what I've seen. Name you guys. And... She's Steve Robyn. Morning Show, man. Would you rather... Be known as a sex symbol? Or would you rather be known as the funniest man? I'd be beating because I ain't going to be known as a sex symbol. That would be his body. I've missed that...

I missed that train. I'm not gonna beat her. I am a sex symbol. I can't get rid of it. You can't help it. I know I can't get rid of that. And that right there is the funniest thing you ever... He is Lord Steve, I'm Lord, and she'll come to play that thing. The future of Cornhole is here from Casual Backyard Games, professional ACL tournaments. I'm confused. Do you know what I mean? I'm not gonna hand them on birthday. No! No! No! You think that's what I'm gonna give you off? No. I'm not participating in this, would you rather... That's scary! You scared? I don't want to put the wrong thing in the universe. I'm celebrating everything. I don't give a... Be mad at me. You ain't fair. You celebrate your birthday Christmas. New Year's all that, yeah, yeah, yeah. Alright. Moving on then, would you rather be handcuffed or blindfolded by your partner? Maybe you can participate in that one. I... On junior? I'll deal with it. Yeah. Bad just bad sex. This time of the day. Good sex twice a year. Great. Great. Great. Great. That's twice a year. I pretended before so why not? Thank you. That would do. Not to be rude. I could coach you up a little bit. Yeah. Can we just knock that out the park? Yeah. That's rude. That's rude. That's rude. Oh, long. See you tomorrow. All right. Dear Hunnies, this is goodbye. In February of 2024, celebrated illustrator and children's book author, Patre Matheres, and her husband Michael, nailed letters to dozens of friends and family members to let them know that they had died by suicide. I'm Leon Nevock. And I'm Alice Gregory. Together we set out to interview everyone who got one of Patre and Michael's letters. There's one married couple trying to understand another. Listen to death of an artist on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

On big lives, we take a single cultural icon. People like Jane Fonda, George Michael, Richard Pryor. And we pull apart the story behind the image. And we do this by digging through the BBC's fast archive. We're talking iconic moments in broadcast history. Not just the boxer, I'm educating, I can talk all week on millions of subjects. And forgotten interviews that change how we see these giants of our culture. Well, if changing the system from the ground up is revolutionary, then I'm revolutionary. We're here for the messy, brilliant, the human version of our heroes. When I go on stage, I like to dress as slutty as possible because it makes me dance better for some reason. I'm Emmanuel Jochi. I'm Kai Wright. And this is Big Lives. Listen to Big Lives on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get podcasts. All right, so Steve, here's a question for you. I'm so sure the CLEO, the Chief Love Officer.

All right. How long do you think it takes before couples have the talk about how to label their relationship? And I'm asking you that because a new study, this is according to a new study, it says that it takes on average six weeks to have what, you know, the what we are talk and to label the relationship. Well, you know, when you have the talk about your relationship and putting labels on where are we going? You know, isn't it kind of hot? What are we doing? You know, what are we doing? What should have it at? Is that a restaurant? No, no, no, no. I said, you know, like when, when and the what time in the relationship should we have it? I think 90 days. Okay. I think for a woman's sake, I think a woman has to get a determination, get some type of idea of where this is going. Okay. When she finds that out, just give it up because that's 90 days. Well, you know, you don't have to do that. You said that's a guy, like, I didn't mean to give it up, do it. But go ahead, Steve. But you know, 90 days, you should have an idea of where this going.

You have everything right to know and ask a man what this is here. Okay. Another question, Steve. How should they bring it up? How should you broach that subject? Not by no text messages. That's for sure. You know, if a woman is curious about what the relationship is, she got to bring it up. If a man wants it to finally, he needs to bring it up. But in how should they do that? That was my original. Hey, where are we going? Just right out with it. I said, where are we going? What is all this? What are we doing? In their tone, no. But that's the man. That's the man. Because that can't be the woman. Well, hello. Are you sure they don't rush past that way? Made a man. Hello. That could be. I'm just asking too, don't, Steve. Don't you think them? I don't know. For women, sometimes they might feel it's kind of awkward. Or they don't know how to do that to just come right out with and say, hey, where we going with this relationship? What are we? Yeah, we were just saying, come right on out with it.

You know, you could try to round about. So can I ask you a question? My girlfriends are starting to ask me what type of relationship is this? What should I say? Okay. What should I be saying to people and let him give you an idea? Yeah, that's what I wanted you now. How? That's what I figured you mean. But that's good. C-L-O, that's good. So wait like 90 days to even bring up the talk and kind of ease into what you're saying. Kind of ease into it, right? 90 days, ladies, you have every right to be able to say, okay, so what do we have? Especially if 90 days you start passing out that cookie. There's no reason for you to pass out the cookie and not understand what it is. Okay. You know, if we're in a committed relationship, you should know that. Absolutely. I'd want to know that before I passed out the cookie. Yeah. Right. So monogamous relationship, are we committed? Are we exclusive? What is it? I need to know. Okay. You know, that makes sense, don't you?

Oh, yes, yes, yes. And then you say when you want to bring the subject up, you kind of ease into it. You know, just slide it to him. You know what I mean? Hey, look, um, you know, we've been dating for a while and my girlfriend's and co-workers are starting to ask me, what is this we have? So I mean, how would you like for me to address you or describe you what I'm talking to? You know, kind of put it on them. Yeah. And what should the woman say if the man asked her or will a man ask her that question? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, of course. I don't do that. They want to know. And what should the woman say? You know, the truth. I mean, you know, a guy could say, hey, baby, look, we've been at this for a little while and we exclusive or no. And then if it's exclusive, you got to tell him, yes, and if it's not, then you just got to say, hey, no, it's not really exclusive. I'm seeing some other people. Okay. All right. Well, thank you. Well, you're out your name. Exactly. Thank you, CLO. We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning show right after this.

This is Steve Harvey Morning, so man, being a celebrity is hard enough. But just do what we do. You saying just say, if you act, just act. You know, we're all in here getting college money. This is not what we do. Celebrities ain't good at crime. You want to be better at crime. You should be a criminal. When you just start practicing crime, you can't go high level crime. You all got to start with little stuff like change of price tag on the bread and groceries. Just open up pack of cheese back in the deli. Either slice or send it back down. It is Lord Steve Harvey, Lord, he's your coming up right after this. Coming up at about four minutes after the hour, as usual, it is my strawberry letter for today. And the subject is he needs to pace himself with everything. We'll get into that in just a little bit. Whatever that means, we'll find out everything. Yes, everything. But right now it is time for today's prank phone call.

What you got for us now? We headed to the church. We got to get down here and get this prank taken care. We headed down to the church. You don't see the people that do the sign language at the church. You ever wonder if they really get it right? Are they really following the same word? The title of this prank is, can you hear me now? This is what you have decided to do. Yeah, we call it and later do the sign language. That's what we're doing. We from the prank. Let's go cat. Hello. I'm trying to speak to Sister Lauren, please. Begin. Sister Lauren, this is Brother Davis from the church. You know, you know, you might know me when you see me, but I don't know if you just know me, because we don't really interact that much at the church, but I wanted to give you a call. We got a bit of a problem going on. Okay. Okay. You got you. You have a minute to talk. Well, apparently so. All right. Now, how long have you been doing the sign? You know, you and the ministry where you do the sign language for the church. And, you know, I noticed you up there at least two Sundays out of the month.

You've been doing it quite a while. Am I right? So, yes, I've been doing it for over 10 years, but I'm really confused as to why they're calling about this. I'm just a little confused. I don't know who you are. You say that I see your face. I may know you, but what does it have to do with anything? How long have I been doing a sign language? I know. Okay. I've been doing it for years. So, how many help you with it? Do you want to come to me? Okay. I'm not trying to learn in the sign language. Do you know Miss everybody calling Miss Murder? Do you know Miss Murder? I, yeah, sure do. Mm-hmm. Okay. So, Miss Murder, that's one of my aunties right there. Miss Murder is. Okay. And she gave you my number to call me. I'm. What would you need for me? Did she give you my number? No, that's what I'm getting at. So, you know, you know, my, you know, my honest is deaf. You know, she's hearing impaired. You know that, right? Okay. Yes. Okay. So, here's a problem. I mean, Murder is telling us that you're not doing the sign language right doing the service.

And like, you missing some things in the script, you know, something. No, no, no. No, no. That's incorrect. I've been doing this for a very long time. And I know what I'm doing. Okay. So, she told you before me to tell me that I'm not doing the sign language directly. That's really funny. Let me say this to you. Let me say this to you. Miss, I don't want us to get off on the wrong foot. Let me just say this to you. Once my, once my murder told us what was going on, you know, we didn't went to one of the deacons and asked him, you know, is that way we can have a meeting, you know, with, with sister Lauren. So, we can try to get this taken care and talk about it. And he said, well, why don't you just, want you just calling y'all can just work it out. And, and that's how I'm, I'm calling you now. I'm, I hope you, I don't know if you're at work or whatever, I apologize, but I'm just trying to get to the bottom of, now let me go and say this. If my aim murder say that you ain't signing right, then my aim ain't lying. That mean your excuse me. That mean you ain't signing right. Really? So, the pastor couldn't come to me, but he, but you figured you would just call me and tell

me that your auntie says, I'm doing it correctly. That doesn't make sense to me. How does she tell you that? Did she sign it to you? She signed language to her daughter. My, my, listen, you ain't got to worry about who she's signing to. What you need to worry about is getting your sh**, getting your stuff together. All right. And learning how to do this the correct way so that my auntie can get, you know, my auntie can easy be getting the word like everybody else getting the word, but she not getting it. Because you, the word is getting loud. She's in your hands. All I'm hearing is your voice is getting very loud. And you need to match my tone, young man. Okay, let's start with that. Which means match you, man. Oh, match your tone, young man. What's that? Match my tone. Because you're getting very loud and I can't hear through all of that. All right. Okay. Okay. I'm going to say this. I'm going to say this. You call my phone, correct? You have a problem that you're just trusting with me, but you're getting more anxiety and anything else. How am I going to resolve this problem? I am trying to be as cordial. The way you resolve this problem is carrying your sh** back to science school so you can learn what you need to.

So my auntie can get the word. My auntie can't get the gospel because you're messing it up. God anointed me to do a silent language at that church and I've been doing it for a long time. And I will continue to do so. So don't call my phone telling me that I'm not doing something right. But do God know that you're not doing it right? Do God know that? Does God know that my auntie's not getting the word because of you? My name, young man. Jesus, please give me the strength to continue on with this conversation. But you know what, Ma'am? I'm going to be right back. Little sh**. Let me tell you something. You know, it's been ever called my mother freaking phone telling me I ain't doing something. Now, if I see you in the street, this can't have us on board. Slide your sh** back. Do you not miss my stuff, clear? I cannot believe you talking to me like this. Oh, now you want to become. Now you're calm. Now you match my tone. I've engaged my mind. I can't believe you just got through talking to me like that. I'll be done here. So you think it's cool for you to tell the Lord.

I'll be right back. Thank you, Lord. I needed a moment. You human, right? We've been on the phone as well. You've been on a skewer. I told you to match my tone. Match my tone. I am matching your tone. No. Can I say, can I, can I give you something else in this tone? Do you mind if I say something in this tone? You're going to hit a click in the dog real quick. Go ahead. I just want to tell you in this tone that your friend, Von Detailer, got me to prank phone. Call you. I am nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show in your tone. I don't know how to say. I'm going to break. Von Detailer. Von Detailer. Tommy, you better not put this on the radio. Better not put this on the radio. Von Detailer, I'm a f***ing huge in Jesus name. Amen. Radio. I'm not playing in the game. Tommy, I think it's funny. But this thing, this is my job here. Listen, everything is fine. I, you haven't done it.

I have to tell Jesus, give me a minute because you was about to beat my pressure up. Lord has mercy. I don't even want to hit his. I will be calling him behind it because I have some mercy. Oh, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Father, please forgive me. Oh, Lord. Okay, you got to, you got to do this for me in my tone, in my tone. Tell me in your tone, what is the baddest radio show in the land in your tone? The city of Hollywood, Montenegro, in my tone. My tone. Now, that's how you do it. That's how you start up. That's, that's what people won't mind the morning. They won't stupid like that. Oh, surely. Make the final English name. Break the same thing to me. Yeah. type of birthday, sure. That's how you do it right now. Thank you. Who said I pranked the church. We got to sign language. Ladies, she had to wait past. I didn't done. No call. Who she date and prank who she date. Who? He said at the church.

At the church. He said at the church. Oh, so he don't go to church. It's saying on last. Talking or not talking. Yeah. See that's how you get information. You still after. Also, he don't go to church. I'm going to try. Exactly. No comment for me. Right. Yeah. I know I won't be able to lie. I lied for you. What you want me to say? I didn't prank the praise dancers. I didn't prank the musicians. I pranked the park. This is how you do it. Excuse me, Tom. This is how you do it. This is how you lie about who you date. Call her, ask me a serious question. Where did you meet your new friend? Last night. You met her yesterday? Yeah. Where? Back to grocery store. Back to grocery store. Back to grocery store. You know I don't go to the grocery store.

So where? What section in the grocery store? Me. I had just come out to produce section. Oh, okay. All right. All right. All right. All right. Well, thank you. Thank you for that. And we'll get your letter and we'll maybe breed it on the air next one right here, right now. You never know it could be yours. Do it Strawberry Letter. Let's go. That's it. All right. Thank you, Steve. Subject, he needs to pay himself with everything, everything. You're Steven Shirley. I'm 30 and my fiance is 28 years old. We've been together two years and he proposed three months ago. I've held out on intimacy with him until I got a commitment

and he did not have a problem with that. The night I got the ring, I gave in and we had sex that night. It was not what I expected at all. I'd seen him naked a million times and I knew what he was working with. But I had no idea if he knew what to do with it. Our first time was such a disappointment and I was left unfulfilled. We laughed about him being excited because it was our first time. He's quick and everything he does though. Since we met, I have teased him about eating and drinking too fast. We cannot share appetizers because he eats one after the other and I barely get any. If we're having wine, I make it one glass because he drinks it like water. I always have to encourage him to pace himself. I shouldn't have to be surprised when this same thing happened in the bedroom. I was brutally honest with him about the sex because I'm about to marry this man. I started having sex daily in hopes that he can get used to me and learn to pace himself.

His doctor prescribed him something for mild anxiety. Now during sex, he will mumble the entire time or he will stop abruptly and ask me questions about how he's doing or how my day went. It is a total let down every time. His doctor says it's a temporary problem and he will be fine once he's used to me. I am afraid this may not be fixable because it has been three months. If he can't figure out how to pace himself sexually, should I pace myself on getting married to him? Hmm. Well, I say yes most definitely you should because sex is an integral part of marriage and intimacy and it's a deal breaker in some instances. So if you have a chance to get it right or to fix it in your case, by all means do that. Pace yourself when it comes to the marriage. You don't want to cheat or end up in divorce because of it and I can't express the importance of that enough.

I mean it's important. It sounds like it's not so much about pacing though. I'm getting that as it is about skill with him. You can teach, you just have to be patient, you got to practice like you've been doing for the last three months. And remember not to question, Ego, you said you were brutally honest with him. You know, maybe you know come in a little softer, not so harsh and so brutal as you called it. I'm assuming you really and truly love this man. Otherwise you wouldn't be marrying him. I think you want a relationship and you want it to work, right? Well, here's where the work comes in. You know, you got to talk about this stuff outside of the bedroom. You really got to get to know each other and what you like. I say don't give up on him if you love him and if this is what you really want. He can learn to pace himself, learn to eat slower and do everything slower. He can learn these tricks. You know, this is fixable, but he's got to want to do better too.

And it sounds like he does. He sounds like he wants to please you. Steve. Well, I'm going to take a different approach here. This seems doomed. I can fix the top half of your letter. And what I'm going to suggest on the bottom half of the letter, you're going to like, so here we go. Okay. He needs to pace himself with everything. You 30, he 28. Been together two years. He proposed three months ago. I've held out on intimacy until him, until I got a commitment. He didn't have a problem with that. The night I got the ring, I gave it and we had sex that night. Oh, no. Oh, two years of anticipation. Mm-hmm. And but it wasn't quite what she expected. She'd seen him naked a million times and I knew what he was working with.

But had no idea if he knew what to do with it. First time was a huge disappointment. She said, I was left unfulfilled. We laughed about him being excited because it was our first time. He's quick and everything he does. So now let me fix this part of the letter. Since we met, I've teased him about eating and drinking too fast. I've been trying to share appetizers called E.E. One after the other and I barely get any. Y'all gonna have to start getting too after. Fix it, Steve. Fix it. This part I can help you with. Y'all got to start getting too after time. If we're having one, I may get one guy asked before he drank because he drinks it like water. Here we go again. Two bottles of wine. Now you can sit over there and finish here as fast as you want. And you keep sipping yours like the lady you are.

I've always tried to encourage him to pace himself. And so you shouldn't have been surprised when the same thing happened in the band rule. And I was brutally honest with him about the sex because I'm about to marry this man. So what did you say to him? Hey, hey, whoa, that's it. It's a shame. It's a custom. Excuse me. Excuse me. Uncle Ben, many rights. That's it. No, don't give Ben. Hey, Jagging the boss. Oh, this is what we've been to do. Quick drop. That's it. Hang on. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, speedy goes out. What you doing? Hang on. Part two. All your references caught you. Roll runner. What are we doing now? Part two of Steve's response is coming up at 23 minutes after today's strawberry letter subject is he needs to pace himself with everything. We'll get back into it right after this. It's gonna be quick too.

She's got a proposal from this 28-year-old guy.

He's 30 that she's hailed out her intimacy. And she's got a commitment. He didn't have no problem. He bought a ring after two years. Seeing this man neck at 100 times. They finally had sex. She was disappointed because his pace was incredible. He just too fast, but it's just the way he lives his life. He eats too fast. He drinks too fast. They order our derbs. She don't hardly get any because he went after another. I don't suggest it. Y'all need to start getting two or derbs. Next week. Order by the wine. She only get one glass. Y'all got to start on a two-bought wine. Give him his own bottle. You're going to be in a little while when the metabolism changed. You're going to be married to a fat alcoholic. Look like to me. Because he didn't have anything in front of him. And he drank and everything. He's 20 years of metabolism high right now. As soon as he's slowed down once again, you're going to be married to a fat alcoholic. All right. And you've been encouraged him to pay himself.

So you shouldn't have been surprised. When the same thing happened in the bedroom, I was brutally honest with him about the sex because I'm about to marry this man. So you call him a bunch of names. Speedy goes, dollars, road, runner, stuff like that. How fast we're going to do this? And then what you did was you started having sex with him daily. And hopes that he can get used to you and learn to pace himself. Then his doctor prescribed him something for mild anxiety. Now here we go. Just what the letters are about. Not doing sex. He will mumble the entire time. And he will stop abruptly and ask me questions about how he's doing or how my day went. Right. What does that mean? He said it's a total let down. Well, let me tell you what that is. Okay. When a young boy can't control himself, the best thing he do is try to stop.

And then he's just going to get his mind on something else. Then go back. Now he's going to count the down time as time serves. Let me give you an example. So let's say you're been added for a strong two minutes. Two minutes. Okay. Oh, two minutes. Oh, he got his three. Okay. Wow. So he just started mumbling. The mumbling is he's actually making his self talk about other things. Man, I got to fix my car today. What the hell is that price? Sure. It's not you know his Tuesdays. Oh, you can eat. I know. This is the stuff he's doing to try to talk about. Then he'll stop and ask you how he doing. Now he's going to talk to you for five minutes. But he wants to count that five minutes with the two minutes. And then he goes start back up. Oh, time.

Now we have seven minutes. Mm hmm. Because he young and he's stupid. Now the doctor say it's a temporary problem. And he'll be fine once he's used to me. Yeah. I'm afraid this may not be fixable because it's been three months. If he can't figure out how to pay himself sexually. Should I pace myself on getting married to him? I think you should. Or else you're going to have to get used to the way I'm bound. Thank you, man. Right. Because that's all this thing to be. Mm hmm. Now, yeah. You ready? Yes. How much you ready for the answer? Yeah. How far do you think I'm going to like the comedian and me? Really good. I think his wrong hand. All right. I felt I think her need to pick the pace of herself. You take it too long. We ain't got all day. He got to go to work. You take it too long.

You need to pick your pace up. You know, you we doing the three minutes. Let's go. Have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, let's do it. Got no time for you all this long. Like you for the being here all day. You need to pick your pace up. Oh, okay. Maybe that's the problem. see sometimes you have to speak speak up for weak men. Mm-hmm. Sometimes you have to give the inadequate man a voice. Okay. That's what you're doing right now. I'm speaking for the inadequate man. I'm speaking for the men who don't have a voice. You're all is you. The voice. You're all is here. You, you, you too fat. I hear you taking too long. You too slow? You know. Yeah. I'm too fast. You're too slow. You can't please me. You're here. You ain't all that children. So they're just arguing now? You know, just all this is you too small.

How about you to be? How about that? See now, I'm speaking for the man. So the all you mean out there? Mechanism. Kate, please. Oh, ask yourself, fellas. Is that your job really? Yeah. You're speaking for them? I'm speaking for the broken man. The man that don't have a voice. You're their hero. She says you too small. Tell her she to be. That's all you got to fight back. Yeah. Now it's a fight in the bedroom. She told about UK last. Catch up. All right. Listen, please leave your comments on today's letter. And it's the ideal time to prioritize habits that can keep you healthy and full of energy before, you know, before I get to those healthy tips, quick question for Steve. Now Steve, are you focused on your, on your health, Steve and the guys? Yeah, I am. That's a very serious one. Yeah. All right. I've even elevated it this week. I've even elevated it. Okay. All right. Well, here's some tips to help you stay healthy for the fall season. And you may have some tips of your own Steve.

As we head into the cold and flu season, load up on foods that can boost your immune system, including foods rich in vitamin C and vitamin D. Do you have any tips, Steve? Yeah. You have got to stop being an alcoholic. What? That's a must. If you're an alcoholic, you've got to check yourself here for me. In other words, stop going down to that coldest toe. It's a must. If you're an alcoholic, you've got to stop that right now. That's the best. That's my number one tip. Health, okay. That's a good one. Alcoholics must stop being an alcoholic immediately. Go ahead, Sheldon. All right. Here's another one. Make sleep a priority. Being well-rested is crucial to staying healthy. Sleep is important to your health. Too much sleep is critical to your wealth. How much sleep are you supposed to get? Or a night? I don't believe it. Is it eight?

Is eight? Look at it. I don't know. I haven't slept eight hours a year. Because I don't see how you need once you're not a child anymore. I don't see why you need eight hours. I don't know how to tell you that. But I'm glad they sleep. Well, I mean a child, because he's growing. His bones got him standing all this. Children have to sleep. But adults, if you're sleeping eight hours, you're growing. But you're not growing taller. You're growing wider. Yeah, you're. And I don't, I mean, like you said, time of year, no last time you had eight hours. No. Do you sleep eight hours? Yeah. Do you need eight hours? I got six or less. I got six or seven hours. I don't sleep eight hours. I'm sick. And don't get eight hours. But I just don't, I'm not a proponent. Eight hours is a third of your life. I find that desperately hard to see how you can have a quality life. If you sleep a third of it, that does not make sense to me.

But I'm not going to get into that no more because they ate me up on the internet. Tomas Dev Harvey prefers wealth over health. So here's my thing about sleep. If you want to sleep, get all you want. Sleep as long as you like. You can sleep your life away. You can sleep until you dream the most magnificent dream. But I'm telling you this, to make a dream come true, you got to get won't. Stay won't stay won't. So, but if you want to sleep, go ahead. Steve, don't give it. All right, coming up more of the Steve Harvey morning show right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey morning show. You know, some people are still grilling on the weekends catching that last little bit of summer. And we saw this topic on Facebook, okay? The subject was don't micromanage me when I'm grilling. So this guy named Dave wrote in, he said, my brother won't grill slash barbecue for our large family events anymore.

He feels too many people have specific requests. He can't handle complex. He can't handle complaints. He can't handle things like cheese or no cheese or well done or medium. What kind of rub are you using? Is that vegan or meat? He says my brother can really, really barbecue, but he is fed up. And now he's telling the family to get a caterer because he is done. Oh, yeah. So he had a question for you, Steve, Tommy and Junior. He wants to know if you have any suggestions to help his brother deal with these special food orders when he's grilling. He says he wants them back out there on that grill, at least by the upcoming Labor Day weekend. So what advice do you guys have for him? Well, before I just got one, I ain't got one. The vegan people can go to hell. Oh, that's all I got to say. Rest up blown on them, but the vegan people can go to hell. Yeah, my thing with Tommy. They want to eat too. Yeah, if I think with Tommy, if you vegan, you need to leave now.

You don't need to even be coming by there. I want to eat too. No, we don't want you there. No, vegan's get hungry. You can't put up a little side menu for the vegans. Yeah, we got a side menu for them. They call sides. Yeah, that's what they call it. It's called sides. Long baked beans. You know, and pick the ham out the baked beans because it's going in there. Bake the bacon and stuff out the baked beans because they go in in there. Yeah, and here's my suggestion. Here's what you do. See, when I barbecue, I have, I have kids, this vegan, you know, I got brains, you know, this come up. But I'm barbecue. Yes. This high barbecue. I got warm and draws. Why are you yelling? This high barbecue. This one. I barbecue. Why are you yelling? A chicken. You can't get chicken is chicken. You got to be one sixty five in the middle. That's it. Now my steaks, my lamb chops, burgers, all this is medium rare.

So when you get them out the warm and draw, if you want to pop them in the microwave and heat them up, if you heat them down to medium, or you can leave it in there and turn it in the shoe level, that's your own yellow. But we still yelling. I'm going to them off the grill at medium rare. Because when I reheat them up, I want mine to go to medium. Do you talk to your guests in the same tone? You're glad. I don't talk to them at all. I've been one barbecue. This ain't a social event. I'm out here cooking. It is. This is my kitchen. This is my stuff. Get out from around the grill. Get away from it. No, this is all we got. But Dave can't even handle cheese or no cheese on your burger. I mean, I'm doing that. The cheese is in the refrigerator. You shouldn't know if you want cheese or nothing. But what if I want it melted? I'm going to put you. Well, then you need to put your identifying the burger you want.

Uh-huh. Get your cheese out the refrigerator and be standing there. Because they come at all at medium. But he's just don't even ask him well done or medium for your meat. What is that? I don't make well done meat. I don't ask nothing. Why is he talking to me? First of all, my assistant, Ben, with me 25 years won everything. Well done. Not doing that to the food. Well done. We can just give it to the dog. And it is a social event. I bet it's a knock. We'll have more of this. We'll have more of this. We'll have more of this. Coming up in 20 minutes after the hour, right after this. Is she Steve Harvey morning, so man? You can't do nothing around my crack at all. No. You can't sketch only. You can't put tracing paper on my crack.

I'm not going to hold steel. I just can't do it. Because I'm a click. I'm a click. I'm going to tell you paper. I'm going to tell you paper. Have you ever slept in tomorrow's clothes? That is the question. Because in a Reddit parenting chat, a mom wrote that after her two kids ages 5 and 7 took a bath at night listen to this guy's. She dresses them in the outfit they'll wear to school the next day. Okay? She said her kids wake up ready to go and mornings are less hectic. less hectic. A lot of commenters, you know, she got the comments called the mom gross. And a lot of parents agree with her. So have you guys ever got dressed the night before? So you would have less to do in the morning. It's a question for you in my school clothes. Yes. Tomorrow's for close. Yeah. Come on, mom. Maybe that. No, I got these 12 skis on. I'm in the bed. Yes.

Well, you remember everybody hates Chris. You remember Terry Cruz the daddy? It's you know, it's ready to go to work. Yeah. That's all. Yeah. That's all. Yeah. Yeah. Just lay the coat close out, jumping them. You'll be okay. Yeah. I need them for Amazon. I need to update how to get ready. Yeah. How to prepare for right? Get ready for the next day and get up earlier and get up exactly. Yeah. Yeah. I'm on my way to church. I did have to go sleeping net. I woke up Sunday morning. Ready to go to church. I did do that. Why is that? Why? Got a whole got a whole hard bottom shoes on and a tie? Clip on time. Ready. They got to be wrinkled. I know. Yeah. I'm going to be wrinkled. All right, guys. Thank you. Coming up next will play around. If would you rather right after this? You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Didn't catch the latest Roland Martin unfiltered

In February of 2024, celebrated illustrator and children's book author, Patre Mathers, and her husband Michael,

nailed letters to dozens of friends and family members to let them know that they had died. By suicide. I'm Leon Nayvak. And I'm Alice Gregory. Together we set out to interview everyone who got one of Patre and Michael's letters. As one married couple, trying to understand another. Time now for a round of would you rather? Would you rather never ever celebrate your birthday again, or only celebrate your birthday and no other holidays? Would you rather never celebrate your birthday ever again,

or would you rather only celebrate your birthday and no other holidays? Woo! So you would celebrate your birthday? Or you would? I'm confused. Do you know what I mean? I'm not going to hand them on birthday. No! No! No! No! You're not trying to kill you off. No! I'm not participating in this, would you? No! This is scary! This is scary! Yeah, I don't want to put the wrong thing in the universe. I'm celebrating everything. I don't give a... Be ratted me. You ain't fair. You celebrate your birthday, Christmas. New Year's all that, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Moving on, Ben, would you rather be handcuffed or blindfolded by your partner? Maybe you could participate in that one. On, Junior. The way everything going right now, handcuffs can't happen. The way things going right now. All right, I can't deal with handcuffs. Blindfold me. Blindfolds can't? Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I don't like to feel it. It's like I'm going back to jail.

I don't want to do that. Oh! What? Uh-uh. In the bedroom with your both. Even in the bedroom, this is trauma. It's a trigger for me. I can't do that. You don't trust? You got a trust. That's it. Trust me. No, I can't be handcuffed. Yeah, okay. Not to know the day. No, no, I'll take the blindfold. I'll get knocked it off with me. Yeah, I did it in the street. But I'm sitting here just calling. I can't grab nobody. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. I've got to have my hands free. I've got to push you off with me. I'll get that. What is that? Get that off of me. Would you rather have frequent bad sex or great sex only twice a year? All right. Hey. Thanks. A lot of bad sex. A lot of bad sex. Yeah. Man, you don't give it here. I'll deal with it. Yeah. Go ahead. Bad just bad. That's it. I can't do this. I can't do this. Good sex twice a year. That's it. Great. All bad.

Great. Great. Great. Great. Thanks. Thanks. Well, I pretended before. So why not? Yeah. Thank you. Woo, that would do. Not a rude coach here. I'll put a little bit. You know, can we do this? Yeah, you knocked that out the park. Woo. Yeah. That's rude. Not the woo-woo, Janet. Not the woo-woo. Oh, long. See you tomorrow. All right. I think we have time for what we don't. All right, Lucin. That's today's round of would you rather coming up at 49 minutes to have to the hour. It's our last break of the day and we'll have some closing from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah. Yeah. What did he say? What did he say? Time. Pretty close by 30 minutes 30 seconds ago. He said 10 seconds ago. I'm sorry. Pretty close to that.

He's not quite go down. Sometimes I can't. Sure I'm talking. Sure. Sure. Okay. Yeah, I can hear you now. She can't. She can't. What? Sure. So that's what I'm. What? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? That's what he was saying to me and tell me. Oh, is that what he was saying? Yeah. Surely 10 seconds. Not cat. Maybe you got it. That is second cat. I know. Not cat. Maybe you guys. Okay. Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right. An education is a transformation. And we want to say thank you to our audience as we always do for listening and for riding with us every single morning. All right Steve, we're ready for the closing remarks. Well this is for everybody including myself. This is for anyone who aspires to get more or to have more to be blessed more

to acquire more. How have you want to look at? Here's a deal. All of our lives. We live our lives in in bubbles so to speak. This is just an analogy everybody. We all live our lives in the bubbles and what I mean by our bubble is not a negative thing. Instead I'm saying this is the space that we operate in. This is the gym we go to. This is the Starbucks that we like. This is the church that we like to go to. These are some of our favorite restaurants we like to frequent. This is where we go with relations of our relatives and all of this. These is our clubs we go to for drinks and stuff like that. This is the school we attend. This is where we got a gym membership. This is where we socialize and live. That's what I mean by bubble. Now here's the deal. If you want more

than what's in your bubble then what you have to do is put more air in your bubble. It don't bust. It expands but you got to breathe more air into it. How do you breathe more air into your bubble Steve? You got to start dreaming bigger. You got to start wanting bigger. You got to start keeping hope alive. You got to hope for more. Now you got to be willing to put the work behind it but in order to expand your bubble you got to breathe some air into the bubble. You got to put something in it where it's not the same old church. The same old Starbucks, the same old restaurant, the same old club, the same old gym. You got to breathe some air into that bubble. Expand your bubble. I'm talking to myself.

As good as a bubble as I have I would like to be able to do some other things believe it or not. There's limitations to what I can do. You may be looking at me talking to my wow man what you got in limitation on. You balled. You ain't talking about that. There are still things I want in life. There's more to this. So if I want more including myself I got to breathe more air into the bubble. The bubble is yours to control. That's the beauty of it. You have a say so in what precise bubble you got. You ain't got to keep going to the same Starbucks. You can try to want somewhere else. You can expand your bubble. You ain't just got to go to that gym and hit that messed that train to talk it. You can go to another gym. You tied it that pass up there. He ain't talking about nothing. You ain't growing. He ain't feeding you spiritually. Blow some air in your bubble. Go to another church.

You know when you're hearing the same thing when it ain't working for you. You ain't got to go to the same happy hour. You ain't met nobody over there since you've been going. But since it's the happy hour closest to the house and it's convenient. You keep going. You ain't met nobody. You ain't networking. Pass out of business car. You ain't did nothing. You need some more air in your bubble. And the only person that can add more air in your bubble is you. You have got to change your attitude. You've got to put more air in your bubble. You got to dream bigger. Stop warning just once in your paycheck. Because that's inside the bubble already. You already got what you can afford. It's already in your bubble. You need a bigger bubble. The only person can breathe air into your bubble is you. You blow in this bubble. It's like if you got bubble gum. Remember when you was a kid and used to buy a bazooka bubble gum. And y'all be sitting around trying to blow bubbles who had the biggest bubble. Well, guess what? Nobody can affect your bubble but you.

You to do. You got to put more air in your bubble. If you want more, you got to believe more. If you want more, you got to imagine more. If you want more, you got to see more for yourself. Now, if you get through seeing it and wanting to believe it and tripping and hoping, you got to go to work. You got to go to work. But guess what? Your bubble will expand. And when your bubble expands, your existence will expand. Your will expand. Your whole being will expand. Next thing you know, guess what? You're going to want some more air in your bubble. Then you'll be living the life that God has for you. Put some more air in your bubble. Those are my clothes. You're up it. Take it. Have a great week here.
