Welcome to a special episode of the Dangerous Ones. I'm Jim drastic. I'm Tiffany drastic. I'm Nick Knudsen and today
We're going to talk about the tragedy that happened in Minneapolis. We had a whole other show plan, but
You know this takes precedent. It's just unreal
So we wrote some things down and then we're going to get right into it
We got some videos for you guys to show you show you the reaction of what's going on
It's very very fluid. So if you don't know today in Minneapolis an ice officer shot and killed a
37-year-old woman who was sitting in her car peacefully blocking the roadway in protests
Ice claims to shooting was self-defense, but city officials and quite frankly any rational human being who seen the video
Disputes that account
Because the video evidence shows the woman was engaged in peaceful protests at the time she was killed
One bystander video in particular shows that the agent's life was not in danger
We'll share reactions from the mayor of Minneapolis and examine how the disgusting way the head of
Homeland Security Christy Nome is framing today's tragedy
We'll be getting live reactions from Gen Z voices a generation that has grown up surrounded by this kind of violence and
Normalized abuse of power and it's not lost on any of
America this morning that this incident took place just blocks from where George Floyd was murdered a
Tragedy that sparked a movement for change and here at the dangerous ones
We believe that this is a turning point. This is a moment for resistance not for silence
Moments like this should mark the beginning of the end of unchecked power when people finally decide that they've had enough
We will share a tool that you can use to send to your members of Congress at the end of this episode and
demand accountability and oversight of ice it is their constitutional responsibility to do so and they are
Not doing it. That's it. So we have a tool for you later on. Yeah, stay stay tuned for that
The folks right off the bat. We want to know what you think 503 212 4600
You can call us seven days a week
365 days a year you can leave up to a five-minute message and also you can emails at shout at the dangerous ones.com
So we had like we said we had a whole different show lined up and we're gonna talk about
Gen Z's reaction to what was going on in Venezuela and everything else
But this happened this morning. So we shifted gears
and so
You know, this is
This is changing things what happened today. I think you know, and it's scary. We scary
We've got lots of videos to show you guys and we're certainly not going to try to exploit
What's going on? We're gonna turn this into a moment of action
By the way, the victim's name we're just learning is her name was Renee Nicole good and from what we understand
She was a recipe influencer and just tragic, you know, we've seen the video and we're gonna show you an angle of the video
No, gore we're not you know, we're not showing the gore or something like that
We're showing you the angle of the video that shows the officer's life was not in danger
It's important for everyone to see it absolutely what happened
But you know when I look at that video and we've seen the video
It's it's it's I said the typical that could have been you
Yeah, we would I could see us blocking the road like that. Yeah, you know, right at the same pot. Yeah, you know
Mark do we have that so here if you haven't seen the video here is
One of the angles of the video. This is not
quote-unquote a graphic video in the sense of gore
But it does show how the officer's life was not in danger
No
What the fuck did you do
You are fucking criminals
You're fucking criminals
What the fuck
What the fuck
What the actual fuck you are fucking insane
you
What did you do?
you
shame
shame
shame
Oh, called 911
All right, Mark. Thank you
So we have so we there's the the full video right so we have a slow motion version of that video and
I think what we want to point out here is you know, obviously the woman listen
Right, if you're if you are standing there sitting there and traffic you're blocking
Okay, you want to arrest me because I'm blocking traffic fine, you know
And hey, you want to arrest me because I'm backing up and leaving fine, but you shooting
I mean what do you think you don't get to that just fucking shoot people and and she's not she's not threatening them
Like it's clear, you know, and that's gonna be the spin. Yeah, is that she was gonna ram her car into the ice agent or whatever
But clearly like she was blocking traffic
They pulled up they got out of their cars very aggressively to come over and open her door
And we're yelling at her to get out of her car
She probably was like super scared about that and was like, okay, I'm out. Yeah, and was just trying to pull away
Yeah, she was trying to ultimately trying to do what they were asking her to do
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and I'm not like a crash reconstruction specialist, but she was driving away
She's not pulling into the end for second of all
I don't care if you were you shoot first as a de-escalation tactic you should not have a badge on your chest
Right you do not belong with enforcement after your name ever. I can't we can't trust you as Americans. Yeah
What the fuck are you doing? I think that's a really good point because it's the
They does these ice agents now feel like
Going to level 10, right? What the fuck is going on? Is that what they're teaching you in ice school?
Yeah, yes, yeah, probably right. Yeah, and well, and the other thing that they're learning is if I commit crimes
Then my president will pardon me right so we found out about this this morning and I said to Tiffany
I go watch they're going to give that guy an award
You know and sure enough where we're going to play what Christy Nome said in just a moment
I mean they're already defending him so but here's a slow motion version of what happened now
I want you to keep an eye on the cars front wheels
So you know going for it in the car. She's clearly trying to get out of there. Yeah, now listen
Let's assume she's sped away. Let's assume she just robbed a bank and start sped it away. What she didn't
He's still can't shoot her
It's disgusting and like you know
Law enforcement like they're trained to study the face of the person
Right, you know the perpetrator or the person committing these crimes
I he
You know, it's fuzzy, but he's looking directly at her face. Oh, you can see that she is not like
She's a recipe influencer. She's not trying to run you over. She didn't have to back up to run over him either
She could have just explored it. She was right out of that's right. That's a really good point
You know, she's just out there doing her civic duty and standing up for other people
Other people's rights is flexing her right as a protester to stand there and say no to her tyrannical government
And this is what happens. Yeah, Renee good say her name say her name. Yeah, hashtag say her name. Hey, so let's go to the reaction from mayor Jacob
Fry or fray fray fray
And see if the here's a clip of him and he had he did not mince words
There's a lot of information that is swirling around right now and
We collectively are going to do everything possible to get to the bottom of this
To get justice and to make sure that there is an investigation that is conducted in full, but what we do know
Is that a 37 year old woman is dead and that she was shot by ice
We've dreaded this moment
since the early stages
Of this ice presence in Minneapolis
Not only is this a concern that we've had internally. We've been talking about it
They are not here to cause safety in this city. Yeah
What they are doing is not to provide safety in America
What they are doing is causing chaos and distrust
They're ripping families apart. They're sewing chaos on our streets and in this case quite literally killing people
So
They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense
Having seen the video of myself. I want to tell everybody directly that is bullshit
Yeah
Word
Reaction. Yeah, it's a nice job. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and the conviction with which he speaks and then this video you're going to see of Christine
She knows. Yeah, damn good. Well, she's lying. Well, then let's see what she had to say watch this
Any comments on what's happening with the shooting in Minneapolis you didn't mention it earlier
I was wondering out of the 2000s deployed there
Are they including the new the newly hired ice agents are or are diverse and still happening from F the FDI border patrol
DA and
So a couple of questions there you asked about a shooting that we just had in Minneapolis, Minnesota
It was an act of domestic terrorism
What would happen? It was our ice officers were out in enforcement action
They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that isn't Minneapolis
They were attempting to push out their vehicle and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle
An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively shot to protect himself and the people around him
And my understanding is is that she was hit and is deceased. We're continuing to gather more information
You know, that's that's that's literally no different than them saying
January 6 was a tourist. We just a normal day at the at the Capitol. So now they're saying
protesters are domestic terrorists. Yeah, exactly
Standing up there with your big dumb fucking hat sitting there saying like and you know the other reason why she's saying it that way too
Because she knows that if she if she and the president they all know that they don't defend these ice agents
They're not going to go out and keep doing the crazy bat shit stuff that they want them to do
you know, and so
To call her a domestic terrorist. Yeah
Well, and just the whole I mean she just like pulled that story out of her ass
It's like sorry lady. There are cell phones now. Yeah, right
You were you were counting on nobody having any footage of that scenario
Yeah, and did your core wouldn't you agree? This is another example of them trying to make us not believe our own eyes
Don't get fucking fooled. That was not she's not it. She's a recipe influencer. Yeah
Ridiculous
So there's Christy gnome lying about all of that and then
I believe did we have another video or was that the last one? We have the governor, right?
Oh, right. We have the governor Tim Walsh spoke and let's hear what he had to say
Please sense the the summer of 2020
We had a lot of work done on teams being ready to to make sure that civil unrest and what that means and I think Commissioner
Jacobson was very clear and I want Minnesotans to hear this from me. I
The desire to get out and protest and and to speak up to this administration of how wrong this is that that is a
Patriotic duty at this point in time, but it needs to be done safely
And I think the commissioner simply just laid out some of those parameters. We can do that. This is the peaceful resistance that we need
This boy. I love that. I you know here. He's well. Yeah. No, I don't have it
But I think his it is the patriotic thing to do is to get out you know and protest and I have a feeling
That's going to start happening all over the country
and just speaking
From a Portland POV what happened in 2020 like you know, they
They burned a lot of this city to the ground that the police response was very violent
Um, and the city has never recovered and so I understand like this
I want to burn that motherfucker to the ground too, but listen
This is there is a very small window where level heads and deep breaths can really
Drive where we need to go and because if we do it wrong
We're going to be it's going to take us so far back and it's gonna. Oh, I've agreed
It's going to be so hard to get in front of it
Especially when you have a game show host
That is spinning the narrative. That's what they do. That's what people like him do that's yeah
And and so we have to be very careful how we react to this
He just
I was gonna say he just said it the other day on Air Force one that he was waiting for an opportunity to go to the answer action act
Right
And he's just waiting for that opportunity, right? But I would say that that you know
I think that by the way, you're both completely right and but what how how we do it is because we have to get out in the streets
Yeah, that has to happen. I think we're gonna be out there probably
It has to be just overwhelming amount of people that's how you really fight back
Yeah, it doesn't you know not to burn the place down be just overwhelming like a state. Yeah, like a state bit
You know like I I know that white hot rage like that's in me too
But you have to channel it now and you have to make it impossible for them to spin
Yeah, you have to make it too big that they can't talk their way out of it
They can't sell you that it's something else if all of us coming together
Say and get the fuck out because this is not gonna stop unless we make no kings look like a family gathering
Right, we got to make no kings looks like it was just that was just a couple of friends that we had over for dinner
That's right. We've got to get out if you whip you really really want these ice things to stop
It's time we we all have to get out in the streets
So more on that as we as as developments come out
Yeah, yeah, I was just gonna say, you know, Kristina was
Calling this woman who was killed today a domestic terrorist. Yeah, it's very very clear that ice is a domestic
Domestic carous outfit. Yeah, like I mean that is literally what they're doing
domestic terror. Yes, like it is they're they're ripping people off the street. They're killing people
They're trying to deport us citizens. I mean, it's um the it
We need to keep that in perspective and
Not let them use that kind of rhetoric against us because that's that's the whole thing that Trump does and we can't let it
Let's let's say that you're what I'm gonna call you the thing that I am right
And we can't let it scare us into not showing up for our neighbors and not protesting and not peacefully showing
Because
They're violent. They are they this is what they want, but we can't
We can't have that scare us and to stay in home. We just can't stay home anymore
Speaking of the rhetoric that you were mentioning after right after this happened on Twitter
Guess what the top three things that we're trending number one trending on Twitter was self-defense
So they're right so the bots were out the bots were also trying to get domestic terrorism trending which they did and
Number three was justified
now having
You are looking at three people who have made many many many many things trend on Twitter and
This clearly this is bots. This is a sigh up. This is a sigh up. Yeah, thank you. This is a sigh up
Yeah, that's not honest trending. Yeah
That is if you ever wanted to know what a sigh up look like that's what it looks like
Yeah, and also I think this is on a small note
This is what happens when you that trending report
That's what happens when you have
The richest man in the world also owning one of the biggest social media platforms in the world
This is all you know, it's all one fucked up thing after another. Okay, listen this episode
We really we we had we wanted to have our next guest on to talk about some other things
But this happens we want to get a Gen Z perspective because
They're growing up in a different world, man. Yeah, it's not the boomer or the Gen X world that I grew up in
America was not violent like this
Not in the same way when we were in our 20s, you know, yeah, so Chifty. Who do we got
Joining us today is an activist political influencer and former staffer for the late congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee
Who represented Texas's 18th congressional district for nearly 30 years?
He's also a recent grad of university of Houston and our dear friend
Ladies and gentlemen members of the danger corps. Please welcome Josh Martin. Welcome Josh
Hey, thank you guys so much. It's so great to see you again. Thanks for coming on
Thank you for coming on
And in full disclosure we got to see Josh this summer we came out went out to Houston and visited with him and his brother while his brother was running for Congress
It was just fantastic and they were wonderful hosts. We had a fantastic time. Yeah, and Josh
We were gonna have you on to talk about a bunch of stuff
Oh, yeah, but then this morning
tragedy struck
again
And really we thought boy, you know, we'd love to get your perspective the Gen Z perspective on what's going on
But before we get to the Gen Z perspective, what is your overall reaction to this morning's tragedy?
Well, I think what happened the day was just straight up
Indefensible and inexcusable for something to happen in our society in 2026
We literally are seeing an innocent person that was just
Murdered in Donald Trump's America because of his ice agents that are literally just going out there and and doing his bidding
I mean, how many ice agents did you see in Minnesota before some bone-headed
Dude named Nick Shirley decided to go and create a video of attacking immigrant communities in Minnesota
That's inexcusable and now you have Christy Noam going on record calling her a domestic terrorist
I mean if we're being honest the only people right now that I think are domestic terrorists are the people
They're massing themselves going into these communities attacking innocent people
So it's horrible. It's inexcusable, but that's the reality that we're facing right now in Donald Trump's America and it's not okay
You know and I agree and in September we had um
Micah Irfan and Samuel Schwartz on the show who I know you're dear friends with and I asked
Them and I said hey, we I knew I said I know you don't speak for all Gen Z and Sam stop me
Actually, I do speak for all Gen Z we laugh about but I know you don't speak for all of Gen Z
But can you give us a general overall view of what you're you know, what is the younger generation
Think about these ice raids and what's going on you know, I didn't grow up with this um, right, you know
Baby baby boomers didn't grow up with this you guys are what what is happening? What does your generation think?
I mean, it's definitely completely ridiculous
It's definitely not something that we're used to seeing a bunch of mass people coming in our communities
I know that Houston where I live is one of the number one cities for ice raids
Happening with an America and it's completely ridiculous. I mean right now what we
Thought and what a lot of people my age were promised is that ice would come in they get rid of the criminals
They get rid of the people that are hurting people within our communities to make a safer and that's not what's happening at all
You have these people that are going in the communities maxing themselves abducting American citizens
People who haven't committed a crime that's not what we were promised and it's completely ridiculous
What we want to see from our government is people that are going to work to address through affordability crisis of
Work to address the housing crisis people that are actually going to show up and fight for us to make America more affordable
And not just abducting people for political reasons and what we're seeing right now is that Donald Trump and his people right now
They're not focused on any of those things that they promised with us and just focus on scoring political points
So I mean we're absolutely disgusted and seeing what's happening right now in America
And we're really hoping that right now we can really work to enact some tangible change because right now it's frankly ridiculous
That's what I don't want happening. I don't want the narrative to be shifted into
this
Officer this ice officer should be
Um, exalted for what he did to turn into a hero for them to make a national fucking holiday
She was a peaceful protestor. She wasn't doing anything more than that
And that does not constitute murder and that's what this is. Yeah. Yeah
Uh, I was I was curious what you were going to say to that one
Josh because I kind of wonder sometimes with with younger generations
um
Yes, you weren't you didn't grow up with masked agents of dark
People off the streets, but you you have grown up in the Donald Trump era
when
You know the the rules have been kind of shifting or the norms have been shifting and what I mean what they're doing is
patently
Illegal and unconstitutional to I mean to just go go and whether they're American citizens or immigrants
Everybody in this country is should be afforded due process before they're
sort of grabbed off the street and thrown in the back of a van
And so just just just that level is terrible and now they're
Just gunning people down you're right and honestly what we're seeing right now is that we have a government
Straight up ignoring all laws that we've had in place for the longest period of time
I mean, I know that the Donald Trump era is something that's just been a part of my life
I'll never forget whenever you got elected in eighth grade
Well, I was in eighth grade whenever you got elected. I'll never get my mom sitting me down telling me that
It's about to be a really rough time in America and we just have to learn to grow up with it
And as I've gotten older. I just can't help but think that that is the wrong answer
We shouldn't just have to learn to grow up in a society that doesn't work for everyone
I mean, I know that on whenever we were on the campaign trail
I really got to kind of know kind of what's going on in our community on a more personal level
I mean we have people and parts of Houston to where you just they they grow up and they just see trash on the streets
They don't have sidewalks going on in their communities
And it really just makes you to think like how could this possibly going on in an America to where we should all be able to work and afford and be able to buy a home and
You know go off and live our life and live the American dream
And it's just frankly sad and honestly what we're seeing right now especially what's happening with these ice rays
Just yet another example of what's happening when we have a government that is strength frankly just just not care about what's going on
Yeah, I I also think too because I'm an old I come from a different
League of Democrats that where you know the Democrats that were above me
You know the boomers and octogenarians came from that gentleman's agreement of well form a committee and look into it
And that'll change things and now this is what I love so much about Gen Z is you guys are like fuck this
Look around we're in a different it's different now and when your mom had to sit you down and go okay
Look, it's it's not what it was I think we're having a hard time
um
Translate getting out of
Thinking that we can just sit here and form a committee and everything is gonna be fine
That's a good point really embracing you guys who you know you're on the forefront
You've got all this time ahead of you now in this country with all this shit happening that if any change is gonna happen
It's gonna be with you guys and you've got
Excuse me Jen's but the balls on Gen Z is like thank you
Thank you for showing up and speaking like you speak and just being there for people that everyone's really afraid
And they don't know what to do and they feel like if they say anything they're gonna get in trouble and that's really prevalent in Gen X and
Boomers and older is don't rock the bow. Don't say to us. Yeah. Yeah. Oh can be rock for all I care
Does not care if I live or die he really
And I think that of right now instead of just sitting back and just taking it from him
I would rather just go and punch him in the mouth and say look
We aren't just gonna go and accept this. I mean we see what's happening every single day
He says f me I say f you so that's just how I feel about it
And I feel like a lot of people my age feel the exact same way. Yeah
Well, let me ask you this because we brought up in the intro that you worked for the legendary congresswoman
Sheila Jackson Lee
And you know during that time, I'm sure you learned what works and what doesn't
what it would you say to your
Your generation is the best way most effective ways to fight back. Is it writing letters letters that does help
I know good writing congress
You know your representatives helps getting out there helps. What do you recommend to your generation? What what should they be doing to fight back?
Well, I think that if you just want to fight back
You don't first off if you want to fight back
You do not need a position. You don't need a title. You don't need a platform of anything
You can literally just get yourself
Go and pick up a clipboard and start knocking on doors to talk about what's happening in your community
You can go to community meetings
You can go and join a club you can go and join an organization
There's plenty of groups right now that are doing so much great work and communities across our country
That are doing a lot of great work to go and make America the kind of place that it should be
So I think that what the focus on needs to be is organizing coming together as our communities because the best
You you've always noticed that in America that things always work out whenever there's a community behind it
Building some type of camaraderie. So grab some of your peers go and talk to people about what's going on
Because one thing what I'm noticing right now especially with Gen Z is that a lot of people just aren't informed about what's going on
And that's honestly
People should know that the reason why they go to the grocery store and that things are more expensive now
And then we're last year is because of Donald Trump's policies
People should know that whenever they go and try to go and buy that first that first home
Or they'd go and try to rent that apartment that the reason why you're rent is going up every single year
Is because of Donald Trump's policies
They need to know that the reason why literally everything is more expensive because these stupid tariffs
Studies put on to make everything more expensive if we go and work and we organize to educate people of our generation
Of why things are the way they are then ultimately we're going to get out go and vote and go and vote these people out
Because we need to let politicians know on all sides of the aisle that if you don't work for us
We're going to remove you and we're done waiting around
Wow fantastic I agree and I think as I love today. This is true. I think as of today
It's 300 days to the the November midterms
Vote vote vote we're going to be pressing that all year long here on this show
Josh we can't thank you enough for joining us
You're such a dear friend and we look to have you on over and over with your your insight and also being from Houston
How did your football team do this year? Oh?
Well at the University of Houston we did pretty good in the Texans or still in it right
Hey mom one day
Against the Pittsburgh Steelers. So if you're a Steelers fan watching this, you know
We got something coming for you, but
I'm always with the Texans through and through you're probably talking to one of the biggest Texans fans. There is
Well, I showed up and in a Portland Trailblazers hat and Josh looked at me like I had two heads
So
But anyways Josh thank you so much for joining us and we can't wait to have you back on
Of course, thank you so much
I want to say everybody. I really love that his
Tiktok and Instagram content. He does a really great. We'll put your links up. Yeah, go follow
We'll put everything for you guys because really he's such a great voice not just for Gen Z
But he just for me, you know, just for Gen X just for everybody. We really your voices really agree. Yeah. Yeah
Thank you. Thank you
Wow, Josh. It's so good. He's so good. Yeah, he brings such a great perspective
You know, and and I think everything he said was just just fantastic and boys. You can see the fight
It fires me up
But we also wanted to talk to our resident Gen Z. That's right. Mark one in the house
We're all what do we do? Mark what are your thoughts? I mean, I know you were moved quite quite emotionally about today's events
Give us your overall
Yeah, yeah
What Jim's talking about is I came in to the office today and I saw everything breaking
I was right about at the same time
and
It's sickening and it was literally sickening to me. I mean, I was watching there were a couple graphic videos that I came across that
You know, I needed to take a step back and take a walk around and
So I encourage anyone in the audience who's feeling that way about that to do the same
And you know beyond that
I think
My generation we want a Gen Z take. I think my generation
There's a lot of us who for some reason or another grew up with
They just grew into a lack of emotional intelligence
So if you set those people aside
There's a lot of people like Josh and myself
Who this is all we can think about
Um, and like you said, this is something that's kind of unique to our generation to be growing up with
but
You know, like I said, it's sickening
And we try and get out there and do as much as we can. I know that
We referenced how close this was to George Floyd
uh
Personally, I was out in the streets a lot around George Floyd and I got to know a lot of people
In the community here in Portland
And I would say
It's definitely an opportunity to get to know your local community members
um
This doesn't just sicken you it sicken's a lot of your community members
Probably a lot of your family
And yeah, I think it probably you know when you get don't I would imagine
For Gen Z this is high anxiety stuff it is for everybody
But for a uh, generation who grew up with this it's one after us you've all deez ababa
It's every god damn day. There's another god damn thing. I know yeah, and it just it feels like um
I hate that tragedies like this have to happen for us to
Get out in the streets like we need to get out but we always talk about building the kind of community that
Um, you know, that people don't really know what to do. They feel lossy or scared
They don't how do I even get in touch with people
That feel the same way as me
Because of things like this now
All of us are going to be on the streets
All of us are going to be on the internet all of us are going to be getting louder
And this is how you find your people. This is how you come together
This is how you start organizing you just start doing it
I just don't know what else we're supposed to be doing
Yeah, and I would just say uh, that uh, that's why the danger core uh, the family that we built here, right
Uh, it this normal you you guys know us normally we have fun and we do laugh a lot
Obviously, this is not a laughing matter and throughout this year
We might have a lot of things that aren't that way but
There's one thing we can always go walk away with as we know to get we can do we we're gonna get through this together
um, but uh, well, thank you mark an a and I just uh, I think mark your point was very very good in the fact that
You know, this is not the same thing as a George Floyd, but what it is if it's so weird that it happened to mile down the road
But what it is is what George Floyd what happened with that situation it was it was a moment of tragedy that sparked a movement
Yep, and there's a possibility here that that's what happened today. Wouldn't you say mark? Absolutely
And if I could say one more thing um, you guys know it when I came
Uh, and came to work for the podcast um, I said you guys an email shortly after and I said, you know
Fair warning. I can be an anxious guy and it's this kind of stuff
These kinds of videos especially that make me really anxious. So if you're
Uh, member of the danger core and you see this and it
Um, it's a fire in you and it makes you anxious and it makes you want to throw up all at the same time
Just know I'm with you and reach out and
gain your community. Thank you mark and that's how we all feel right yeah, but now
We're obviously there's
Fighting back is a multi-pronged thing. It's you do it online. Yeah, you go out to protest uh, uh, you know
And fight back in the streets and one other thing you can do that is extremely important
Nick what is that
So that I said it the other day there are three branches of government
There's the executive branch which has the president. There's congress which has uh the house in the senate
And then there's the judiciary which has the Supreme Court and the lower courts
And uh, the courts are helping in some ways right now and but the Supreme Court
You know, and it's not something that we have direct control over
Congress is something that we
Have a deep hand in uh, constituting you know, we we elect people directly to congress
They work for us and they are not doing their fucking jobs where they are not doing their fucking jobs
none of this would be happening
If congress was exercising its power to uh, to provide a check on an out of control executive
Thank you
And so it is time to hold their fucking feet to the fire and we are going to be talking a lot more about this
Especially in the in the context of a midterm election
Yeah, yeah when we can throw a lot of these people out
At which we have to do and I don't care what part of you're from if you're not
If you're not doing the right thing right now, then you know
We got a we need people in congress who believe in the power of congress who believe that congress should
Exert influence over an executive branch that is supposed to be an equal branch of government. So
That being said off my soapbox
We put together at the on the demcast side the organization that I run uh, we put together a form that you can fill out
That uh, we'll send it takes like two minutes and we'll throw the QR code up on the screen. Yeah
Here uh, and it it sends letters to each of your two senators and your house rep
And it only it takes two minutes. There's pre
Formatted prewritten letters you can edit them to your heart's content
Uh, but it gives you some starting language and we're just asking congress to exert the
The uh the authority that they have to provide a check on the executive branch the executive branch runs the department
Of Homeland Security which runs ice and uh, and there need to be hearings
They need to um, they're these people should not be wearing fucking masks. Yeah, like there's so much that is wrong with what's happening right now
And it's time for us to get louder
We can yell at Donald Trump all we want. He's not gonna change. Right. Christy knows I'm not gonna change. They they love this
They think it's funny. Yeah, like we need to put the fear of God into our members of congress
That they are going to lose their seats unless they do their fucking jobs
Yeah, and the one thing that we got going for us is it's an election year. So yeah
Well, listen, uh, we're gonna stay on this and I have a feeling
You know, we I have a feeling even today. I'll bet you people were gonna be down at the ice uh facility
Here in Portland because there in Portland does not fuck around
And and stuff like this it can really make you feel lost like mark was saying it can make you feel anxious
It can make you feel alone and like hopeless and I don't know what to do
Filling out these forms filling out these letters and adding your name to that to those voices
That's how the chorus gets louder yeah louder and louder and that's what we're doing
This we've got to make a huge show of force as the people and I'd like to add one more thing to that if you're feeling anxious or feeling scared about what's going on
Call us up talk to Tiffany tell Tiffany 503212
4600 503212
4600 or you can e-mouse it shout at the dangerous ones calm you can leave up to a five-minute message and you can remain anonymous as well
Yeah, and if you fill up the five minutes just call back call back
Uh
Just we we're closing out here. We we've got your backs. You've got our backs. That's why we are developing this wonderful community of the danger core
You know use the tools that we have yeah to
To reach out and communicate and all that kind of stuff because that we we get through this together
2026 is 2025 and yeah, it's gonna it's gonna be a it's gonna be a long one
It's gonna be a long one but we'll get we'll get through it together
We'll get through it together on behalf of Nick and behalf of Tiffany
Be safe and let's all get into good trouble. Bye. Bye guys. Bye
The Dangerous Ones
