In Malibu, California, explosive new court filings had derailed the high-profile murder trial of 24-year-old Fraser Bohn, who stands accused of killing four pepper-dined sorority sisters in a horrific high-speed crash on the Pacific Coast highway. Moments before slamming his BMW into parked vehicles at 104 miles per hour, Bohn reportedly had a giant 10-12-pound canister of nitrous oxide resting in his lap. Bohn has pleaded not guilty to four counts of second-degree murder and four counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence in the tragic October 2023 deaths, 20-year-old Neem Rollston, 21-year-old Asha Weir, 21-year-old Peyton Stewart, and 21-year-old Deslan Williams. All four young women were seniors at Pepperdine University's Seaver College of Liberal Arts and members of the Alpha Phi sorority. They were standing on the side of Malibu's notorious stretch of PCH known as Deadman's Curve when Bohn lost control. The speed limit on that corridor is 45 miles per hour, but Blackbox data were freed from Bohn's vehicle or revealed he accelerated from 93 to 104 miles per hour,

During Wednesday's hearing, Bohn's lead defense attorney, Alan Jackson, argued that this sudden new theory from the prosecution required an immediate delay, so defense experts could inspect the vehicle, verify evidence chain of custody, and examine blood smears found on the nitrous tank's nozzle, which are presumed to belong to Bohn. Jackson maintains that the fatal crash was a tragic accident triggered by an ongoing road rage pursuit, an argument the Los Angeles District Attorney's office firmly rejects, citing a total lack of evidence. Instead, Deputy District Attorney Nathan Bartos clarified that while prosecutors do not intend to claim Bohn was actively inhaling the gas at the moment of impact, the physical possession of the large tank on his lap directly contributed to severe driver distraction. Presiding Judge Thomas Rubison granted the defense's motion for a continuance, rescheduling jury selection to December 1, while cautioning prosecutors that no improper inferences regarding drug use

In Wainsboro, Virginia, terror gripped Westwood Hills Elementary School on Wednesday morning when a 19 year old gunman breached the building and opened fire. According to Wainsboro Police Chief David Shaw

4:02during a press conference, 19 year old Anthony Ignatia Dis Isabel entered the school and shot an adult staff member before turning the gun on himself. Police later located Ignatia Dis Isabel dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the elementary school library. Fortunately, no children were in the library at the time of the shooting, and the injured staff member was treated at a local hospital and subsequently released. Authorities confirmed Ignatia Dis Isabel had no known former enrollment in the district and a motive remains under active investigation. Wainsboro Public School Superintendent Jeffrey Kassel commended the rapid emergency response and lockdown protocols addressing reporters during the official briefing. Our safety and security protocols and procedures worked. Staff notified law enforcement immediately and our school executed lockdown procedures. Every student and staff member is safe and returned home to their families. Superintendent Kassel became visibly emotional while reflecting on the harrowing ordeal.

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, a violent dispute over a home-cooked meal has ended in murder. 22-year-old Irvin Joaquin Gutierrez remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Facing an open count of murder for the fatal shooting of his 25-year-old cousin, Nathaniel Kavazos. According to police off of Davids and court records obtained by local news outlets, Gutierrez had driven from Roswell to Albuquerque on August 27th to cook green chili enchiladas and drink with family members at an apartment complex. However, as the evening progressed, a heated argument erupted between the two cousins

6:07over whose enchiladas were spicier. Witnesses report that the verbal disagreement rapidly escalated into a physical confrontation. As Kavazos attempted to walk away from the altercation, a witness overheard Gutierrez shout, were, family, how could you do this to me? Before pulling out a firearm and shooting Kavazos three to four times in the back from 10 feet away. Kavazos died at the scene. Gutierrez fled before Albuquerque police officers arrived, later sending Snapchat messages to family members asking if Kavazos was really dead and claiming self-defense. At a neighborhood vigil held outside the Copper Hills apartments, devastated community members remembered Kavazos as a kind, helpful man who was always ready to lend a hand to disabled neighbors and bring joy to those around him.
