Just days after Plymouth County Superior Court Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial in the Lindsey Clancy case, three jurors are coming forward to reveal the frustration inside the deliberation room. On Friday, September 4, Judge Sullivan declared a mistrial after jurors deciding Clancy's criminal responsibility in the strangulation deaths of her three young children failed to reach a unanimous verdict after over six days of deliberation. The jury made up of nine women and three men began deliberating on Thursday, August 27. Three times they informed Judge Sullivan they were hopelessly deadlocked at 11-1. He admitted he had reasonable doubt and I started filling out the forms I was so excited. I actually, there were three forms I had to fill out and I started filling them out. I wrote my signature on each one and then he said, but I'm still not going to say that she's not guilty by reason of incident. A second juror disclosed to NBC 10 Boston that the male holdout juror refused to interact with the rest of the group throughout the entire deliberative process. We read him on numerous occasions the definition of a reasonable doubt from Judge Sullivan's instruction. He actually said one day in the end, well why don't we have the judge come in and read it again and we were like no. We have it in front of us. We have the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children.

2:02A third juror described the holdout to NBC 10 Boston as very arrogant and completely closed off to the evidence. He really did not take anything that anybody said. The nurses he tried to ask a question about the medications and we went back to the report from Social Hospital. We had the toxicology report. We could see exactly the amounts. The nurses in the room spoke to that and they were nurses on the jury. Yes. Sorry. They spoke to that specific thing. That was a question that he had and he just completely disregarded the information that they gave it. 36 year old Lindsay Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility in the strangulation deaths of five year old Korra, three year old Dawson and eight month old Callin.

3:03Prosecutors alleged Clancy deliberately killed her children at their Ducksbury home in January 2023. Lance attorney Kevin Ruddington argued she suffered from postpartum psychosis and was over medicated. Clancy then jumped from a second story window in a suicide attempt leaving her paralyzed. Over 80 witnesses testified, including Clancy's ex-husband Patrick, who testified she built a snowman with their children hours before the killings. On August 29, three juvenile survived a severe head-on collision when a man allegedly fleeing police during a domestic violence call crashed into a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Amanda Wurtman as they returned from a Girl Scouts trip. The fleeing suspect and Amanda Wurtman were killed at the scene while Wurtman's eight-year-old daughter, Michaela, died at the hospital, according to the Indiana State Police.

Amelia's mother, Tasha Cox, says that after the car flipped and caught fire, Amelia unbuckled her seatbelt, climbed out, and helped unbuckle her friend and five-year-old Theodore Wurtman. Amelia suffered a compressed neck fracture requiring four to six weeks to heal while fellow eight-year-old survivor Oakley suffers from two brain bleats. Theodore is home recovering while mourning his mother and sister, according to updates on their respective GoFundMe pages. Finally, more than 50 years after two teenage sisters from New Jersey were murdered during a Florida vacation, authorities have identified their killer. Marguerite Maggie Jenkins, 18, and Mary Jenkins, 16, were found dead in a key lago-wooded area near Milemarker 99.5 on May 3rd, 1973, one day after hitchhiking on stock island. The cold case broke open in 2018 when FDLE Analyst extracted a partial male DNA profile from a blood stain on clothing. In 2023, FDLE paired with Oath from Laboratory, with Oath from Laboratory to construct a genetic profile, eventually tracing Snyder's family tree and confirming a match via a relative's DNA sample in 2026. The victim's surviving older sister, Sarah Jenkins Barlow, who was 19 at the time, recalled traveling to Florida for a month after the killings to do her own investigation. Decades later, Barlow remembers Maggie as a daredevil who dreamed of owning a horse ranch, and Mary as a sweet girl with a beautiful singing voice, saying she continues to honor them by living her life to the fullest.
