You know him from undercover billionaire. And many other, many other V-hack calls he's been on the show a few times. Got a seminar coming up. We can talk about that as well. Good to see you, Grant. Always good to see you. So Grant and I are outside. You got a gate now. Was that an issue with security here in California?
The jumpers or did you always have that and I just forgot? I think we changed the gate out here. He's always kind of got to be in the back of your head in California. But I got to say this is a pretty nice neighborhood. I will say that about this. Now I know California and politics and all that's near and dear to your heart. I also know all the fire stuff is a big deal. Grant survived in Malibu. I survived in Malibu but most cannot say as much. And Grant has a big and beautiful home that just miraculously made it through the fire or but they still gutted the inside. And that's for fire damage. Yeah, there was a bunch of smoke damage. For every 16 homes, you know burnt to the ground. And then the fire got to me to our house. We were in Miami on our way out here and my wife comes and gets me at 6 o'clock in the morning and says wake up, wake up.
The house is burning down in Malibu. I'm like, what the fuck am I supposed to do about it? We're 3,000 miles away. I can't do anything about it. So I'd say they're going to go or not. I said, I don't think it's going to burn to the ground. And she's like, why not? I said because one, you know, I'm blessed. And two, it's built to concrete. Everything that's going to burn is going to burn because it's old 75 year old timber. I've been saying this for years up and down that coast. Like let people rebuild, encourage them to rebuild and incentivize to go glass steel and concrete and you won't have a fire problem. Every single structure in front of you is gone. And then it stops at your house. There's a west of me on that beach is spacing south, right? Not west. West of me, the next house it doesn't burn is concrete. And by the time it's gone. How many lots over 16, 16 lots? So 16 structures.
Right. Yeah. In the fire department, wasn't like, you know, doing some, me some favor. I'm friends with those guys and there across the street. But they were across the street from the other ones to know I know. So the one you were looking at on your Instagram the other day, that's being rebuilt. Now I had rented that house and it burnt. It's made of, look, you got, you have timber. Yeah. Two by fours sitting in the sun every day for 75 years. Right. Right. Salt, sun. Right out. He did every day for 21,000 days. And it's dry. All you had to do was flick anything on it and the whole place is going to light up. Yeah. And it was like that because people that wanted to rebuild or they'll let you rebuild. But it's going to be six years. Oh, yeah. But you're going to, you have to jump through so many hoops and if you have money and you want to lift someplace, you want to do it now. You don't want to wait until you're 94 years old to do it. Yeah. For people who have money, time is the commodity.
Not the actual cash part. And I always told everyone that Alan Hamill and Suzanne Summers lived down Malibu down there that love Malibu, their house burnt down in a previous fire. They wanted to rebuild. They became way too much coastal commission blah, blah, blah. And they just said, fuck it. We're moving to Palm Springs. And that's, that's what happens when you have money, but you don't have a shitload of time. Yeah. I was watching an architectural show on Netflix. I think it was. I love watching any real estate, anything. I candy stuff. And they were, they were talking about this old architectural home in Hollywood under Mulhall. And the guy was like, well, when he bought the house, it was pretty much done. But they never did put the pool in. And so we went back and looked at the original plans and we put the pool in. And then he says, without any irony, he goes, it took us four years to do the pool. And then he paused and he goes, well, two years for the permit. And then two years to be honest.
And it's like, why is it two years to put a pool in your yard? It's a your yard. You're paying for it. Why is it two years? And everyone's like, hey, he got off easy. It's like, why are you getting off easy? It's two years for a pool. Why? What is that? It's insane, man. The regulatory, we got 1,500 permits in the bucket over there right now for the palisades. 35 houses have been approved. Right. 19 months now. Yes. My house was not burnt down. There's a bunch of smoke damage I was covered by insurance. And I'm like, guys, I just want to bring my house back to the way it was. I want to get rid of all the smoke damage. It's my HVAC. It's my electrical. It's all of its inside the structure. I don't want to change anything. I wasn't going to expand anything, change the footprint, nothing. It took me 19 months to get approved. They're up my ass every day. My property, I supposedly own it. It's right for. Right. And I just want to put it back. I want to be able to use it.
Yes. And they wouldn't allow me to. And then they stopped me and said, oh no, you're going to, they literally, like it's communist, a man. Yes. I don't actually own that property. Well, because I have to, I'm sharing it with the state. Yeah. Because they're approval for mommy and daddy to tell me what I can or can't do with it. Yeah. I mean, it's an, it's an interesting concept, which is true. Do you truly own something if you, like, let's just say you think you own your car. Yeah. Well, what if you had to ask the state permission when you got new tires for your car, or to paint your car? Exactly. And then they said, I don't know, Grant, we're going to think about it. Submit a proposal for new tires. And then it's like, well, at some point, do you own your car? I don't know if you fully own it. If you have to ask them permission, if you want to paint your car, you 100% don't own your house. That's why I've always said a single family home is one of the worst investments a person can make. Interesting. Because you pay for it. You pay the interest. You pay to fix it.
It produces no income of any kind. Okay. At least this place right here, it produces income. Yeah. You know, it's kind of interesting and you're the guy to talk to about this. But like I bought this warehouse, coming on 25 years ago. Yeah. And you pay for this place. I paid 500 grand for it. And I was like, I wanted a wood shop and I wanted a car shop. And I just wanted to have a place where I could build cabinets and do my woodwork and wrench on some cars. It's funny because later on, I would say to any celebrity I met, like I'd go buy a warehouse and they'd go, why? I don't need a warehouse. I go, first off, you can always rent it out. You can always rent it out, but you're going to use it. Believe me. I told Howie Mandel buy a warehouse. Howie Mandel does not seem like the kind of guy went, but you go see him now. He's got 30,000 square feet, multiple warehouses.
It's filled. He's got production. He's got studios. He's got a podcast. I see him. He hugs me and goes, God, I'm so glad. I got these warehouses because it produces something. Yes, I go to work every day in the warehouse. I bought 25 years ago and I like going to my own place to go to work. And then when football season starts, there's going to be a bunch of dudes sitting back there drinking beer. And the man cave, part of the warehouse. So now, and it's a good investment. It's not, you don't get rich on it, but it goes up a lot and it's a solid investment. But it's an investment that you use almost every day. So that's good. But you say single family dwelling, no good. What about flipping single family dwell? Well, you're just a prostitute at that point. Where is the good investment? The best investment in America today is multi-family. The large apartment complexes, they're on sale. It's like 2010.
You can steal real estate today. Really? Every market. Every market. Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco is probably an outlier in New York, but the rest of the country is massive. That's a good market to buy an apartment building in. San Diego would be great. Orange County would be phenomenal. If you want to stay here, if you want to get out of here, I did. I left. Scott Steller, Arizona, almost anything in North Phoenix, not Tucson, Austin, Texas, Dallas, Dallas will be a super boom city. It'll be a massive boom city. It's going to be more like a many New York Miami Fort Lauderdale Tampa, any of the Carolinas. What is a good Nashville to start? Like if someone says, look, I'm not a rich guy, but I'd like to get started in this process. I got started with three grand. I wasn't a rich guy. I had no connections, no credit card, no money. My first deal was $3,000. My first real deal was $1.9 million. It was 30 years old.
I bought it in San Diego, California. I put 350 grand down that I borrowed from others. Mom, brother, sister, like anybody, I could credit cards, robbed it out of my business. While my buddies were buying single family homes, I was buying income property. So they were bragging about the little house they had. They put, oh, Adam lives here. They're going to have babies and they're going to be all happy. I ain't doing it shit. Because if I go home, I know there's no money going to jump out of the closet. I wanted to have real estate that paid me. So that whenever what talent I had ceased to exist, so the property would take care of me in the future. Is there... The flipper, just back to the flipper. The flipper doesn't do that. The flipper is basically a middle class play where you buy something, you make some money, you sell it. But the problem is you're back to zero again every time you sell it. Now I got to go buy another one.
The wealthy formula is buy it and keep it forever and let it pay you. What's a good example of a starter income property? 32 units would be perfect. 32. That sounds like a lot for a starter. It's not. It's easiest loan you'll ever get in your life. Really? Easier than a house, easier than this place, probably easier than a car. Because the lender, the lender is going to be Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. They're mandated, federal agencies supported, subsidized. They have a mandate to lend $188 billion this year. They are forced to, this is their job to give money out for that asset. Compared to like an SBA is going to do maybe $12 billion. This is almost 20 times bigger. 15 times bigger. It's an easy loan to get because it produces income and they're going to lend on the income. They're actually not going to even allow you to sign on the loan. You're not even responsible for the loan. The entity that bought it, you would run that entity.
The entity is borrowing the money not you. You could literally walk away from that loan seven years from now and your credit would not be damaged. You could have bad credit and do that deal. It's 32, sort of the over under, you wouldn't go eight units or 12 units. I wouldn't because the most important number in real estate is units, the number of units. Imagine if you had 32 of these and you were using one and the other 31 were rented by people like you. You should have bought howies. I know. You should have bought it and rented it back to you. I just cracked it for the last 20 years. So you buy the 32, the reason the 32 is if you take 32 units where the rents are 200 bucks because you know real estate. If the rents are $200 lower than they should be and you are able to just move them 200 bucks without doing anything. Don't fix the kitchens. Don't do anything. Just, hey, the rents were too low. We're going to leave them. Just 200 doesn't kill anybody. That'll make you a million, about a million too in new value.
Right. Because when the rents move, the value of the property goes up. What's going to happen in places like New York when they're trying to do all the rent control, shit? Well, what happened already, 90 days after this communist madame, he's not your buddy, is he? No. No. Okay. Just checking. I don't trust those guys. I know about you. I'll give you a guess. No. Flip hard. No. Okay. He imposed a million, he basically pulled a million units out of 4.2 million units in as what is in New York and said these million cannot have a rent raise for I think 15 months. Within three months, literally 90 days, the rents on everything else went up 8 percent in 90 days. On an annualized rate, that would be like 30 percent a year. Right. So those are the highest rents in the country, by the way, today. Right. New York City, San Francisco, highest rents in the country, no building, no permits, no approvals, heavily restricted, a lot of rent control, they protect the renter, every city
that you do this in, like this is not political. Well, every single city this happens in, you have the highest rents. Right. And you have the least amount of building. Right. Yeah. And then you also have the buildings with the rent control falling apart because nobody's going to sink money into maintenance. Nobody's going to spend a penny on those. No, you know, it's funny. I had my own little miniature version of that growing up. My grandmother owned two homes in North Ovid. And the first home that she and my grandfather lived in, they paid $12,000 for, and I think it was 1950. Then she bought an income property, a rental property. It was a second home for $10,000 in North Hollywood. She got better at the game. Yeah. Except for she screwed her daughter up and her daughter, my mom, not really employable, gets divorced and ends up living there for free, but they're two kids.
That house was fallen apart from 1974 to the time my grandmother died and my mom sold it in 1999. Like it literally, my grandmother would not put a penny into that house. The roof was falling off onto the porch. It was a mess. But my grandmother's like, fuck that. I'm not putting money into that place because I'm getting no return on it. And my mom wasn't going to put any money into it because they shouldn't have any. But she wasn't going to fix up a house that wasn't hers. Right. So now you just have a piece of shit in the middle of North Hollywood. Yeah. It's still there today. Nope. Here's what a piece of shit that house was. That, you know what? Look it up, Andrew. Let's see. Yeah, let's see a picture of it. One one. There's something there. One one seven five two Houston Street. That's H.U. STO and North Hollywood, California. See what, see what redfin says. No, I'll tell you what happened. They sold the house and they tore it down.
Yeah. And then they built like a little mick mansion there. And I want to know the year was sold though. But so it was sold for those year round the country. It was sold for like $685,000, which sounds like a nice home to anywhere else in the country. That's torn down and they built another $34 million. Another house there. Yeah. Yeah, probably two, two and a half three or whatever. It's a neighborhood's not that, the lot's not that big and the neighborhood's not that nice. But still, if she would have made the real estate play and not given it to the daughter or to your mom, she would have been making $2,500 a month there for the last 30 years. Oh, yeah. No. Well now the joke's on my grandmother because after my grandfather, my grandmother died, then my mother sold that place, kept the money and moved into her mom's house in North Hollywood. So she moved into another house. Your mom's just a free loader.
I think you could call her a free loader. Yeah. I think she did some, well, it was free and she was a load. So yeah, this is free loader. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah. I remember being a kid like looking at this gun. I don't think this is a good plan. Your grandmother probably complained about the price when they bought it at $10,000. Because everybody was complaining. When I was born in 1958, the average price of a home was about $7,000. Payments were $19 a month and people were complaining about it. What do we do? Fast forward to today is the same thing. Like you're looking at a house here today and saying it's too expensive. It's just going to keep getting more expensive because we're going to continue to print money. As you print money, real assets become a problem. Labor here is probably the two biggest problems in the California or permits. Just the approval process and number two is labor. Yes. What's the street number again? 11172. Houston. 11752. Houston Street. Yeah. So, first off, the numbers are extraordinary.
Because I employ people who are younger and I always have and sometimes they'll be married and I'll know that guy I'm working for me has got a young kid. Yeah, 2.5 million. Young wife, a young kid or whatever. And I'll go, I know what I pay the guy and they're looking at houses that are, well, they're not looking at houses, but they're trying to get a house at 1.7. Yeah. Like, how do you, how do you do that? How do you do that? You don't get out either by the way. They're going to do the math on it. I'm going to buy this beautiful little house and we're going to, we're going to be happy and you're not going to be any happy whether you're a runner, whether you have a market. Your market is just a complicated way to say you're renting. What is younger? Yeah. What year did this house sell though last? You got to look on, on rate, gender, whatever. Where that little little blue button is down there. You got to find out was it like, oh, five or something? I'm trying to look at it right there. What was that? Trying to think. It should say if you're going to redfin or zill or something when it's sold, when the
last time it's sold was, you can figure that out. You're like, redfin and zill are going to die because they, because I would just go to AI right now and say, give me the history on this thing and boom, it'll pop. Oh, really? Oh, they're dead. You can go. All apps are dead. Really? So you go, give me the history on one, you try it. 1-1-7-5-2, he was then straight and see what happened. See what happens. See if I get mentioned. Yeah, you probably will. Dawson, by the way. You're a real estate expert. Give me everything you have on one, seven. Well, sorry. 1-1-7-5-2. 1-1-7-5-2. 2. 8 US-T-O-N. Hollywood, California. North, Hollywood. Oh, wait, we got it up there. What is it? 1-1-7-5-2. Houston Street. North, Hollywood. Sold in 2015. This is just Google based off the renovation. Oh, OK. Superdy. What's AI say?
Guilty. Just give me the data. Yeah, they're trying to be cute. So you think Redfin and Zillow and all that? Google's dead. Google's dead. If Google didn't buy, if Google didn't make a major investment AI, it would not, it would cease to exist. Because everyone's just going for AI. Yeah, because there's no Google search anymore. Right. Everyone's just going to ask AI everything. Yeah, that piece of real estate will be around longer than meta in Google. Yeah. That piece of real estate, your mom's house, that we just talked about, will be around. All real estate will exist longer than any of these companies that we're talking about today. Oh, yeah. I think we're getting a feedback. I don't know if I thought, I think it's your phone, maybe it is. Yes, it is. So, all right. So what's your take on what the hell we're doing in Los Angeles
and now we're down to run off between two Communist mayors, basically, is where we're at. And they both seem exquisitely incompetent. And no one seems to be the friend of real estate or building or development. And also, we just need more inventory, right? There has to be more permits and more inventory, right? Yeah, the only thing that cures prices supply, or 0% interest rates with state of California can't influence in any way, shape, or form. So, look, I mean, I was here. I was looking at the whole issue here after the fires. I got all politically interested in everything. And when they did, what's the kid's name? They blew out of the mayor's rights. Spencer Pratt. Yeah, I'm like, OK, there's no fixed in this place. There is it is there. No. This is not incompetence. I don't believe you could amass this much incompetence this consistently.
It has to be intentional. And what's there to drive people out? Why would they, 14 years ago, we left. Right. And I'm like, hey, guys, I'm leaving. If you raise interest rates from 10 to 13, which was the first move. I was living up on Doheny. Yeah, you're talking about income tax. Yeah, tax, right. I said, if you, I'd move from Texas here. I was willing to pay the 10. I was creating my little businesses. I was a small business owner, starting to buy some, I was own, own some real estate. And they went from 10.1 to 13. And I'm like, if you're going to go from 10 to 13, that's a 30, 33% increase. Right. And they're like, oh, it's just three points. No, it's a third more than they were getting. Right. And they're doing just fine. They don't need another third for me. Right. They're producing anything. I owned real estate, the Carolinas. And the state of California was taxing the real estate I owned in the Carolinas. Right. But what does that got to do with anything? Sure. Most of my income was coming from outside the state. Right. But they were getting the benefits of it, which I was fine. And they said, hey, we're going to raise it. I'm like, no, no, I'm not, you know, no, enough.
So we moved, sold our house, took our equity, dumped it into a real one real estate project in Florida, 2012. Changed my life, that one moved, changed my life. We moved to Miami. It's the humidity's terrible. Bugs are big. Yeah. Your hair doesn't look as good. The weather's unpredictable. But I'm telling you, we have made so much money there making that move. I had a couple things. And I want to ask you about something specifically. It's something that's interesting to me. I was in Florida last week. I went, did Sean Hannity show? And I guess the West Palm, I think I was. And then I drove to Tampa. It must have rained 11 separate times from driving from West Palm to Tampa. It's so weird. It's like it rained. And then it stopped raining. And then it rained again. It rained 11 different times. But here's something you might be interested in. And I think it's pretty interesting. And I've been to a couple of these places
from a real estate development standpoint. They are, I was at the auto enclave. And they're building all these giant automotive enclaves where they have a racetrack. They have all the condominiums. They have all the luxury, whatever. They'll have a big center where they could host bands, events, parties, what have you. They're macular, they're beautiful. They sell the units to the dudes. The dudes have their main cave up top. They have the garage down below that can take their car out to the track, their membership and everything. The guy who built all this stuff is building another one up in Tampa somewhere. And no, sorry, wherever Disneyland is, Orlando. Right, right. And he said, I can't build these things fast enough. Everyone thought it was a crazy idea when I started. I was just at one in Perump. They keep adding.
They sell out the condos, the units. Everyone's making money. It's crazy. And I thought, I get the part where you float the idea and someone goes, man, I don't know. That sounds crazy. Race track with condominiums. Who's going to buy whatever? But they're all pre sold. Rich people. Rich people. They can't build them fast enough. People are trying to buy the ones that are already built and they're not selling. Like, it's crazy. Yeah. Because they're satisfying that discretionary income. Older guy, probably white. Ford. Mary needs to be failing. Some prescription drugs. He wants to feel good. I got a car out here. I can't drive it anywhere. Right. He's got it graged in Miami or wherever he is. And he's like, I want to go put it on the track. Yeah, these things are popping up everywhere now. I mean, it's kind of the answer. There's always going to be rich dudes. Yeah, that's right. And we're having a massive expansion.
While everybody complains about the young, the young are being priced out of the marketplace. The truth is, we have more opportunity in this country than we've ever had. We have the explosion of millionaires in America is like a hockey stick straight up. And nobody ever talks about. They talk about home prices or food prices or fuel prices or up. Yeah, all that's true. But not anywhere near the number of people that have just gone straight up. Well, I'll tell you, there are a couple little indicators. Like I said, you know, I just came back from a place and the guy wasn't shaking his head, going, man, I got 10 units and I can't unload them. And it's like, I got a waiting list. And I'm building another. You can build faster. I'm building faster enough. I just got back from Monterey Car Week. And you can tell a lot, probably by the temperature of rich guys, society, and whatever by how those auctions do in Monterey. Yeah, I agree with that. Because it's a, it's, it's, it's, first off, people come from foreign wide. It's not like people in the Monterey San Francisco area,
you know, San Luis Obispo. No, no, no, the whole country comes here. And then I think it, I'll paraphrase a little. But like the big auctions are like gooding RM. Like RM's best year was like $172 million. And they did $350 million. Wow. Two weeks ago. That's crazy. And goodings best year was, you know, 111. And they did $2.45. Yeah. Like those numbers are up just anecdotally, you know, you're looking at Pete Brock's Daytona, Shelby Daytona. They thought maybe $25 million, one for $44 million. Like there's stuff that went way past what the estimate was. No, but nobody wants their cash. Right. Is that what's going on over there? It's garbage. That's what you're going to see. And you see money exactly. It's money rotation. People don't, people are scared of the stock market.
That they know their money sitting in the bank is being destroyed. And your lifetime, the value of $100 was lost 90% of its value. And just your lifetime. Yeah. Saving money is not what our parents saving money was a different thing. It was different back then. You could say money because you could earn 10%. Today, you can't say it. It should be illegal for the banks to say you're saving your money here. Right. Your money's being destroyed sitting there. So the banks giving you 3% and the economy is going up 5% and your base is burning your money. What's happening is the, yeah, yeah, similar to, are you getting paid 2% or 3% and it's being taxed? So it's really 1.5%. Right. And then they're printing money 8 and 10 times. Like we're printing money every day. Right. So as long as they keep printing money, the supply goes up, the value goes down. If you put more homes, the price will come down. Right. So if you print more money, the value of all real assets goes up. So Bitcoin, Bitcoin, like nobody even knows what it is. Bitcoin will explode, gold, silver, anything that's real.
Not a piece of paper. Right. Something that has real some property. So a Ferrari F50 is going to fucking just explode. Is that Malibu house I have? It'll be, I'll probably sell that house for $120 million. I'll finish it. It'll be perfect. And somebody that say, I want that house. It'll be some tech guy with too much money. No, look, it's simple. If you guys want to have fun or you just drunk and you just want to check stuff out, go back. Just bored. You don't have to get drunk, just bored. Okay. Let's say bored drunk. I'll compromise. You can go pick up your phone and go to RM auctions, go to good, or whatever. And then you go to history. And you can go check out 10 years ago, go see. And then you go, well, let's see. A Ferrari 288 GTO just sold for 11 million. And then you go back to 2016. It's like 2.2. I think so for 2.2 in 2016. You can see all kinds of stuff that was like,
oh, Ferrari F50 sold for 1.7. And I went, I went, I think one for 14. Like you can go back. It's scarce. Go back 10 years and just look it up. It's scarce assets in too much cash. Yeah. And we're going to keep printing. So you would say, do not put your money in the bank. Never put it in. I mean, you got to store it somewhere. But put it into something. But try to get it out of the bank. Like try to get out of the bank. Like if you go to Bank of America and say, I want to borrow money, this is how bad a bank is. I want to borrow money from the Bank of America to buy stock in Bank of America. They will not let you do that. Okay. They don't even have to leave their own fucking stock. Right. But they will lend me money to go buy a real estate transaction. Right. But the wealthiest companies in the world are not the meds. It's the trillion dollar insurance companies. Most of their portfolio is sitting in multi-family real estate. The insurance company. Yeah. So that when you have an accident or your house burns or you die, it's paid out of the cash
flow from the real estate. Met life in New York life. Oh, massive amounts of real estate. Oh. They. They just wait 30, 30 and 40 and 50 years. They'll never sell these assets. Right. So is it kind of like when they would say McDonald's is kind of a real estate company? That's right. That's very similar. That was a real estate play. Interesting. That's how you got control of that. So what's the remedy? The Louis Vuitton is a real estate play. It is. Yeah. Yeah. The chairman there told me he's like, we're a real estate company. Well, okay. So stop. Tell me. You tell me what's going on. I walk around. I go to towns. I go to beautiful places. I'll see a giant storefront and a really expensive part of town. It's Louis Vuitton. Or even it's Rolex watches or whatever it is. And it's a bunch of square footage and a high ceiling and a real choice place and that rent can't be cheap or whatever it is. And there's a couple of handbags and there's nobody in there. And I always looked at a person like, how's this a business? How many bags can you sell?

No. Because the margin is right. Yeah, because how much is it caught? How much leather is it? By the way, the amount of leather that's in a knockoff Louis Vuitton bag that's sold in Manhattan is the same amount of leather. Yeah, yeah. So what's the cure? Tell my wife that. See if you can go to the wife for that shit. What's the cure in LA? What is, I mean, are we just going into the abyss? Because it's like we are. It's not our boy. What's our guy's name? The Schrodinger for governor. Oh, Steve Hilton. Yeah, Steve Angardou. Who's gonna do it? Steve's not. Because Steve's just too scripted. Who's got? He's not creative and destructive enough. It needs to be somebody destructive. Like they need to, it needs. It's violent. It needs to be broken down. Angry. And start now. Like somebody needs to come in and tell the truth. He's not telling the truth. He's picking these little handful of problems. And he needs to come in and be a massive disruptor. Tell everybody the truth and go for broke. How do you fix it? You get rid of the coastal commission first. Yeah. You have to fucking get rid of it. That's 12 people that control 2500 miles of coastline.
Yeah. 12 people. Yeah. From Haiti. From Haiti. From Haiti. And the total 25 miles from the ocean. In. Inland. I think it's 25 and check it out. It's summer, ridiculous number. Right. It's 12 people that meet 12 times a year. You know, the best real estate on planet Earth. Where Andrew, didn't we have that tape of the coastal commission and they were, they're in there. Okay, let me explain something that we're talking about. Elon. We've come with all groups. They all become political. The coastal commission is political. The Sierra Club is political. The teachers unions are political. Every group starts off with some sort of plan of we're going to call balls and strikes. We want what's best for the kids. We want to protect the marine layer, the marine animals. So they all start with some sort of edict. And then at some point, and even like I said, the Sierra Club, we go, like all you want
to do is protect the Sequoia trees and some nope. At some point, college graduates show up lots of women with degrees. They have a fucking agenda and they become politicized. And then they cease doing their job. Whatever they were, whatever they said they were going to do at the beginning, the cease and they become something else. The coastal commission is done protecting the coast. Do you think she lives on the ocean? No, also it's a bunch of, as I've screened in my video. She doesn't think I deserve to either by the way. She thinks I don't deserve. She doesn't want you to live there. Right. So then, so what it is is you think building and safety and plan check and everything want to facilitate you building. They don't want to facilitate it. They want you to go away. They want me to go away. Right. They don't want me there. They want that beach back. We'll play the clip and by the way, Elon sued them. They don't want the taxes either by the way.
They want bankrupt estate. Oh yes. They want to bankrupt estate because if they could pull that off, they can then depend on federal federal dollars because the federal government could not let California die. You would have a cataclysmic shift on plan earth if the state of California went bankrupt. Right. You can't service the pension funds, the firemen, the teachers. It's impossible to fund this. Right. All right. Well, we'll play the clip. Sorry. And that's why you need somebody destructive. I'm sorry. That's all right. Elon Musk is hopping about the country, spewing and tweeting political falsehoods and attacking FEMA while claiming his desire to help the hurricane victims with free Starlink access to the internet. But this claim in itself is to the public benefit. This bitch is supposed to be talking about marine life in erosion. But they've turned weaponize to go after Elon Musk. Is that what you want out of your commission? I don't know.
What if baseball umpires made their calls based on what they thought of Elon Musk versus balls and strikes? Yeah. I'm sorry. Start this at the beginning again. It's pretty funny. Elon Musk is hopping about the country, spewing and tweeting political falsehoods and attacking FEMA while claiming his desire to help the hurricane victims with free Starlink access to the internet. But this claim in itself is to the public benefit as a falsehood because one must first purchase the Starlink startup kit for several hundred dollars and then face a monthly fee of $120 30 days. Are women in their anger? Employee to gain customers that are facing tremendous burden and dire straits. They're hurricane victims. The California Coastal Commission discussed Elon Musk's social media post during a meeting which influenced their decision on allowing SpaceX to launch rockets. Commissioner Gretchen Newsom. By the way, when I was in my hotel room almost two years ago and I was screaming that the
28 year old lesbian at the Coastal Commission is not going to let you rebuild. This is who I was talking about. I was talking about these people. And the next layer is FEMA. She mentioned FEMA in here. Right. So FEMA, they used, and this is a personal experience in real time, they, the Coastal Commission, once they couldn't stop me from fixing my house, they then passed it off to FEMA to say, his, you know my decking underneath the house. I've been under it and I've seen where they cord samples to see if the concrete had been compromised. Exactly. And they came back with your house is six inches lower than it should be. Right. Now you've lived here your whole life. Yes. Has there ever been a threat of floods in Malibu? I will tell you this. I've lived here my entire life. I have never seen a depiction of the ocean on PCH. There's been rough seas, there's been tides and everything else.
That water has never made it to PCH and PCH is eight feet higher than the water line. And no, it's never happened. It's never happened. I've never had a drop of water on my deck from the ocean. Right. I sit on the ocean. So I have beach in front of me, but there's times where that ocean pulls all the way into the house. Yes. I've never had an issue. No. It's my house, man. I've been surrounded. I've been surrounded by my house. That ain't fucking drown in my house. That's the other thing too. One of the most ominous moments I had is several years ago, I bought another warehouse and I'm renting it out right now. You'd be happy. You'd land, Lord. You'd be sad. Lord of all the lands. That's right. And I was building in there and of course Department of Building Safety saw me building like a mezzanine thing in there and they came in and they shut me down and said you got to pull a permit. Blah blah blah. And I went, I had to go get the drawings, engineering, whatever, and go to plan check. And I went to the building and safety department in Glendale, California and there's the same
26 year old chick behind the counter. And I said I got to pull a permit. I built a mezzanine in a warehouse and she goes, what are you going to do with that warehouse? And I said, I don't know, put some cars in there and she goes, they might let you do that. I thought they might let me. It's crazy. It's do what I want in my warehouse. But the problem is not, it's you and me, we're not the problem. It is the coastal commission, but it's also a lot of fucking dingbats in this goddamn state. A look no further than Jane Fonda. That clip of Jane Fonda Andrew talking to Bill Marr. Is the greatest clip ever because you go, well, you can hate the coastal commission and you can hate Karen Bass and you can hate Gavin News. So I'm in fine building and safety, all of it. But it's because we put up with it. It's become so many people are on their side.
Like they, they help them, they get their votes. Like look, they're licking their fingers, they're holding it in the air. They're trying to get votes. If enough people didn't want to put up with this shit, they would change their ways. It's long, it's really, it's not their fault. It's like during COVID, when they shut the beaches during COVID in California, we all should have went to the beach. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And don't fuck off. Yeah, yeah. But nobody went to the beach. So they're just flexing their muscle and boss and everyone around. And I get away with it. Right. We're putting up with it. And you can, when you hear Jane Fonda, you didn't leave. No, I should have, but I did, I did go to the beach. You know what I left? I left when somebody reminded me, you understand that you can leave the state of California and still go use it as much as you want. Right. I was like, fuck, I wasn't even thinking about that. Yeah, you thought you'd be never be able to come back. And this is what people from New York are doing. They're going to Miami, people from LA are going into Miami saying, I can leave, not pay the price and go use your, your, your, your state like a prostitute.
Right. When I'm done, throw it away. Yep. And that's what's going to happen now. Of course. All right. This is a Dumbot Jane Fonda with Bill Marry. She still lives here? I guess. She just, I don't know if she knows where she is, but here we go. You really don't believe that the state we live in California is, is lacking regulation. There's over 300,000 regulations. I mean, I once, well, maybe they're needed. They're not. When I tried to put in a garage door, I had to have three inspections. There, there should have been none. Yeah. I should be allowed to change my garage door. Are you kidding? Really? It was about a garage door. Absolutely. I'm sorry. Yeah. That is, no, you know this about California. No, I don't. Well, I'm sorry. I don't. You don't, you've never heard that California is overtaxed and overregulated that we are, we are a one party state where there's sort of no checks on that sort of extreme leftism. And that why do you think? I don't for a minute consider California a state that is extreme leftist, not at all,
not anyway. Well, that shows where your pilot's ex-I. That's not where mine are. She'd like it to be more leftist. I wouldn't, she doesn't think we're overregulated, but she's never pulled a permit or swung a hammer down anything. Yeah. I wanted to put a little, you know that little driveway I have on the side of my house. You can actually, the gates open and you can drive cars in there and trucking. I wanted to turn that into a Patel, what is the new game that pickle ball? Pickle ball. I can't do it. They won't let you. Whose house is it? Well, it's not yours. I think you're talking about it. I mean, I can do it without a permit and I will. Yeah, yeah. I will. You will get, there's plenty of boot lagging. If I wanted to change the glass on the deck, I got to get a permit. If I want to change the fucking stone on my pool, I got to get there approval. You know, the thing, if I wanted to take those things above the deck that overlook the ocean and I wanted to fill them in, they're like, you can't fill those in. Because the birds come in and shit on the damn deck. And I'm like, I want to just cap it off with a roof they can't, I can't, it will not be
allowed by the coastal commission for me to do that. You know, it's funny. Bring that up. I told you I had the other thing you'll learn about California is kind of interesting, which is when you try to order stuff online, they'll go, we'll ship to any state except for California, because it's illegal in California. And so when I was talking to you about pulling the permit for that mezzanine in my warehouse, I built a mezzanine level and I wanted glass railing going all, going around it so you could see down, look better, so on and so forth, just like you'd want on the deck. And I was ordering the glass. They said, do you want, I think it was tempered glass or safety or laminated glass or something like that. I was dealing with the company and I said, which one's cheaper? And they're like, well, the laminated is cheaper than the tempered glass. I said, give me the laminated. They go, we don't ship to California. I go, you don't ship to California now.
I go, why not? They go, they got rules. They got, they got a rule against it. And I'm like, but you ship to every other state. They go, yeah. Well, is it dangerous? Like, no. Yeah. They just have a rule and you got to get the more expensive shit and you can't, they won't ship it to California. It's like nobody understands these rules. They don't understand how debilitating they are. They don't understand that it's choking the life out of California. And dumbos like Jane Fondat want more. Yeah. It makes it, it makes everything more expensive and it makes everything take longer to do. And then you have less supply and you have less supply, you have higher prices. Right. That's expensive housing in the country. Right here. And they go all the time, then the politicians go, we need low income, low income housing for the people's, you know, unhoused neighbors. Like you won't build anything, you can't build anything, you're over regulated. Yeah. It's so insane. I should, I believe that I should not be allowed to have a single family home on carbon
beach. Those should all be big condo complexes. Right. There should be 300 families should be enjoying that one, that one lot I have. Yeah. Like they do in Miami. Yeah. That's interesting. Yeah, because I have unbelievable views. Yeah. You got up. You know, especially up high. There'd be, you know, 100 or 200 other families that would benefit. There would be more taxes for the state, but they won't let that happen. Your place, so you took a core sample, are they forced you? But so everybody, here's how it works. Places burn and then concrete gets compromised. Although I don't, I don't think so. I don't really think so either. It's kind of bullshit, but when they call me about the core, I'm like, you don't need to do course. Well, you didn't fucking burn through the concrete. I got 23 inches of concrete. No, I get it. Now here's what I'm saying. Yeah. If there is a homeless encampment underneath the freeway overpass and a huge fire starts
underneath the overpass and the overpass gets covered in flames for a prolonged period of time, and you have commercial trucks going over that thing, then go ahead and take a core sample and see if the concrete is compromised. But for your home, no trucks on your deck, not even any fatties. No fatties. No fatties allowed. No fatties allowed. No freeloaders either. And the house, you know, burnt, but not your house. Your house did not burn. We do not need. I had 75, I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I had 75 foot hot flame that had burnt down, successfully burnt down 16 other homes. And I had a 75 foot flame underneath this house. I should have sent you the link to it. Hot 75 feet underneath. So who said you had to do, who said you had to do a core sample? One of these, one of these egg mousse, man. So and so the city, because they're just checking boxes, okay? Now he's got to go do X. Now he's got to do this. And now he needs to call them.
They're going to, they're going to go to your, that's not damaged by the way. That's just that we painted. I wanted to paint the dam. I'm such an idiot. I can you show it again? I wanted to paint the pillars so that they want the case on. Yeah. Those are 24, those are 36 inches wide. Yeah. 32 feet deep. Oh, yeah. I need to replace those. Yeah. I know. To raise the house six inches. Yeah, I know. It's, it's awesome. So you take the core sample, they take it to a lab and they do a crush test on it? No clue. I just know I had to pay for it. No telling what they charged me for that by the way. And, uh, and you passed. Yeah. You think that's the core sample right there? Yeah. They, they, they take a whole saw and they take, they go in fire and concrete. They don't mix and concrete wins every time. Yeah. Okay. And I have 16 homes between me and the next concrete house that proved that it wasn't that I was blessed. They'd be like, Oh, you're so blessed. I'm like, no, Brett's concrete.
And they made you do it. They didn't do it. They made you do a core sample. Yeah. And then one, did you raise that whole thing six inches, which is, I didn't even know why. Which, which means that the house would have gone from me spending maybe 12 million to fix it. 60 million. Ah. It's insane, bro. They don't want you to build. I know. It's all wrong and binding. And because they do that, you know, unfortunately is it's going to be the halves and the ab knots. And it's going to make that beach more expensive by the way. Oh, yeah. I mean, Larry's place didn't burn. Larry's son's place didn't burn. Yeah. The, the, the contract trucks were camped outside of Ellison's place. Oh, you know, I had a story about that telling if you can confirm you're not. He owns six or eight homes and no boo and the no boo hotel oracle guy. Yeah, the oracle guy. Yeah. So he is a he is a master real estate guy like he loves ocean front. Well, he's got some much information all over the country. He owns so
down the street from Grand. Yeah, is Larry Allison's place in between that is David's which is the son. This son now. Yes, and he's got a place that he built ground up new triple lot and beautiful beautiful and young by the way very rich, but he's had any had the time. Yeah, he's 35 years old. He's got the time. He can wait seven years, but if you're 60 or 65 when you normally have this kind of money, you don't have seven years because you're going to be 72 by the time you move in. Right. So he built this, I don't know, mass 18,000 square foot, whatever. I don't think it's that big. Oh, I think it's about you think it's I know. No, no, I don't. I was starting to say and you said massive. So I checked. I was going to say like 15 or something like that, but I bumped it up because you said massive. Yeah. So then he builds this amazing place. I mean, I don't know what that place is worth. It's worth 150 million, 150 million bucks. Right. If it was in Palm Beach right now, it was
over 200 million. Really? Palm beaches don't fart. Palm beaches become California. Miami's become LA. Remember when they were trying to bust Trump and they said Marilago's worth 17. So stupid. So he built that place and his son, he's got next door, but I went to the Mexican restaurant across the street and I was talking to the guy runs that place and he said that Larry Elson wanted to buy a place next door and the guy wouldn't sell him, but the fire ended up taking out that guy. And then he got that lot. Yeah. It's crazy. And what do you think about his son, Dan? Milka owns there. Milka owns there. Oh, Michael Milka. Yeah. What's his name? Cretzenberg? Yeah, Cretzenberg. Yeah. What about the Paramount WB thing? Anti-trust thing. If you fall that at all with Elson, it'll get approved. You think so? That's a done deal. You think it's a done deal? It's done deal. So they're not going anywhere? Or they are going to go
somewhere? No, I think it becomes a deal. And David gets his way. Yeah, and Paramount stays. Yeah. That's what you think. Yeah. Do you have any inside info or it's just no one business? Just business. Business with a smile? Yeah. Okay. So they're staying. Yeah, they're staying. All right. That's good to know. And California's going to stay as much as I want to doll California, you know, this place is so unbelievable. Well, fourth largest economy on planet Earth and probably going to get bigger. But that's the part, the part where it becomes a shame. It's a shame. No, it's here. It's sort of like complicit in the crime. I think what you were referring to earlier. Yeah. No, you feel like, well, my mom's basically last words after living in her mom's house is for free. When Larry Elder, Black host, talk to a host, the man LA Times called the Black face of white supremacy, by the way,
their infinite wisdom. At the very end, my mom was real old and she said, like, sort of, who you voting for? So Larry was running against new sum and she just said, I don't know who Larry out, you know, I don't know who Larry Elder is, but I know who Gavin Newsom is and I'm voting for him. And I thought, you're the problem. You're the problem. You don't know anything. You move. Yeah. So then the saying here, this is the, this is what I pay for. This is the, the adage of California. This is what I pay for. But I just want to pay taxes because the weather's so beautiful. I, here's what I feel like California is. I feel like it's the potential part that bothers people like us the most. It could be run efficiently. It could be done right. We could be in a utopia. I feel like a high school football coach with a crazy ringer athlete, like an Allen Iverson type, a guy who could run a four to 40 and has a 42 inch vertical and everything like that. And I
catch him smoking pot and cut in class. And like, it's a shame because the potential is there. There's so much there if you would just live up to part of it. Unmatched potential. On the whole planet, by the way, not just America, right entire planet. You cannot go anywhere on this planet and find a place like this. This is my theory of why we can absorb so much bad policy because there's so much good here. Yeah. That we can actually poison ourselves with horrible policy for in perpetuity. And yet we're still. Yeah. Larry Ellison is still there. Yeah. Yeah. Or or might make it Larry L there and saying. Yeah. Yeah. Larry Ellison's not the problem. Right. He's just taking advantage of the situation. This goes back to the house and the have not. So the people that supposedly are trying to protect the little guy are actually it's completely reversed. You're just making it easier for a guy like me to buy carbon beach. Right. And so what we're going to end up with is insane wealth. Yes. Insane amounts. Not
the wealth that we see today. Garrish amounts of insanity. Homes along carbon beach that are $300 million. Guys with warehouses that have gates. Yes. Guys buying. Just for their hobbies. F50 for our ease and Monterey for $15 million. And then wild poverty. People on the street filth everywhere. Sleeping on sidewalks like exquisite wealth and insane third world poverty. All living essentially next door to one another. And then the wealth they'll have all the security they need. Right. We're about to walk into the greatest wealth transfer ever on the planet. 120 trillion dollars in America is going to be transferred from people our age to whatever generation your kids or grandkids or your church or whoever you're going to give the dough to. That transfer is going to be massive. Somebody's going to probably get it back from them again but it's going to go through about 25 or 30 years to transfer. And you're talking about immense amounts of wealth.
Like more wealth than we've ever seen transfer ever on the planet. And it's a baby boomer thing. Everywhere the boomer went. You're a boomer. Yeah. Everywhere we went. We built schools when we were kids. They built schools for us. And you know, it like scale. And when we went to college, they built colleges. And then we did jobs like everywhere we go, we just explode. Now we're here at the end of our lifetime and we're going to transfer all this wealth. And it's going to be it's going to be yachts. You're going to see yachts explode in value. They can't build them fast enough. You're you're making billionaires faster. You can build boats now. Really interesting. The high end. The medium, the middle class boats are going to get destroyed. Everything that's 150 feet and above yacht life, that's shit's going to go just nuclear. It could actually appreciate and value when it they always said don't buy a boat. Luxury homes in the perfect location. If they're done, it won't matter what they sell them for. What they asked for. Where's Malibu property going to be a decade from now? I think my house will be I think that whole carbon beach right
there will be, you know, that all be minimum 30 and 40 million dollars. Just for a single tiny ones. Yeah. My mind could be 100 150. Could be whatever. You just got to find one guy. Yeah. And then and then you know the place. What's it just the other side of me? They call that La Costa Beach. Yeah. They lost 80 homes there. Those are all be four and five million. Oh, there'll be more when they're rebuilt. Yeah, I think. Because what do you think the palisades is going to be? I you know, look, I've literally built right. Oh, yeah, they're rebuilding Malibu's real slow, but the palisades is doing something at least. Then look, you're talking to a guy who grew up in a house that cost $10,000. So I'm assuming it's just going to it's never gone anywhere but up. It's going to go up. But look, you know what I feel about real estate. You ever go to a steakhouse and it's like steakhouse since 1951 and they print the menu
from 1951. You see Porterhouse steak, $1.29, shrimp cocktail, 51 cents. Yeah. I don't know why they do that. By the way, it just fucks with your head because now you're paying $34 for shrimp cocktail. But it only goes up because they print money. It just goes one way. I'm not even sure that the cost of the shrimp or the house went up. Right. I think the production of money went up. Right. We produce more money. We destroy more money every day and we produce more. We literally create more money every day. So the value of real assets, hard things, this table will probably cost more money unless they figure out a generator. I guess we'd have to change the acronym to shame later. You can leave us a message at 888-634-1744. All right well back in Maui and Drew and I traveling and covering the Linnai fires and
all that kind of stuff. So we're grabbing the news on the road when we can get it because of the schedule but we know you guys like the news and everyone loves Andrew and there's nothing better than doing the news and watching guys do windsurfing at the same time. Which seems like about the freest year ever going to be is windsurfing. Just skipping along those white camps going 20 knots having the mother nature pull you along getting a good upper and lower body workout in all great. So anyway, we're in Maui. We're looking at the ocean. Got a couple things to tell you about and I don't know. I'm kind of jealous of these guys. Mike and I had some business on a Wahoo and so we had to get up this morning and fly in and of course we had a thing in the evening that ended
pretty late and then Mike of course told me that our flight was 715 and so airports like a half hour away from the hotel so we agreed to meet down in the lobby at 540 this morning except for the flight was 9 o'clock and I got up at 5 and took a shower and then got a casual text from Mike saying you don't have to be down for another hour and a half. Which case I tried to go back to bed but I do my cold shower in the morning when I tick the freezing cold water. It awaits you up so it makes it hard to go back to. By the way, no apologies and no explanations. Just got the car with them an hour and a half later. It's okay. It doesn't say anything. So we had a driver. Now our driver was one of these perpetually happy guys. The kind of guys just laughing and smiling like the whole time. Little bit of English issues but he was, I don't know where he's from. He's like Polynesian type guy,
middle aged guy and so he's driving tells us about college football and Mike's explaining that on the Pat McAfee pre-game show they're having them do the million dollar feel goal. It's an extra point. I guess it's 33 and a half yards so so Mike and then it puts a million bucks up and then the guy says I'm going to double it. Pat McAfee does and so he says two million dollars for feel goal and the guy kicks it misses it. Then he says you're going to second try and he kicks it and he misses it again. By the way, I don't know. You want to talk about fucking with somebody for the rest of their life. Yeah. I mean if somebody said to me when I was 19 and I was really poor when I was 19 and my family was too but if somebody said me when I was 19, him and a million dollars,
I'm just going to toss a coin. You call it and I just went heads and landed and just went tails and then I went damn anyone you want to try it again? I'm like yeah I want to try it again. All right, let's do it again and he flipped it again and I went tails and everyone up heads sorry see your way out. My whole life would be ruined from that point on. You understand I'm nursing that in my head for the rest of my life. Like why didn't you just say heads when it was dead? You know like I would be I'd go back to my shit job. I'd get my paycheck for the end of the week for $211 or something and I'd be going goddamn a million. I think it would haunt me. Yeah it would haunt this kid. You should be able to sue Padmati. Yeah. emotional distress. Yes how much therapy. Every time something happened or like then the transmission of your Toyota went out and it was $841 and you didn't have the money. You're like
goddamn two months ago. I had a million dollars and I'm like you know what I'm saying? So anyway the guy misses the field goal right for $2 million. Yes. Then he says try it again and he misses again exactly the same way. According to Mike for $2 million. Our driver is one of these guys. He's driving around and I was like oh $2 million. $2 million does that kid's dropping out of school and hey Alves sudden everyone's his best friend and all the girls love him now and he keeps going on and on and on and and a certain point is that guy that guy is going to buy himself a condone retire you know and so at certain point I go hey no no he missed the field goal. He missed the field goal. He did not win the $2 million. He lost the $2 million. Yeah and he's like oh okay and we drive like for another minute and a half and he goes you know that kid's parents they're going to be coming up saying you pay for your own college now we're not paying for any more college
I go okay well I guess we're just going to go this direction now right yeah that's exactly what it's about. His parents were like you know a matter of time I bought you a letter in jacket in high school you got to reimburse us. He's like oh unbelievable unbelievable I keep saying unbelievable and a weird way he's like unbelievable like he's almost saying but unbelievable and and and and and now we're just all rolling in the car. That guy that guy is going to quit. He's going to quit college. He's going to give himself a private jet. Oh unbelievable unbelievable. He was the greatest we got out of the car. I said like I know you and me are like making fun of that guy but don't you secretly wish you were him like just over the moon. Couldn't even accept the news of some stranger missing a field goal. He literally was like in his world he made that field goal and it was unbelievable and he was laughing and smiling the whole time and I really had no idea what he knew
and what he didn't knew but all I knew is he was in a great mode. It's a positive outlook. I wish he was like if a if a two-year-old black lab could be a human being that's who that guy was you know what I mean just yeah just in it to win it man just excited excited for life you know yeah that's what that guy was then that'd be like a fun movie of the week a podcaster meets an Uber driver changes his life that's kind of like a you remember the trope from like the late 80s and early 90s like this homeless guy taught me how to live oh Joe Pesci oh man yeah with honors yeah great that's it you don't really see that trope anymore but that was a huge trope it was just every like you so caught up in my material possessions yeah yeah yeah yeah taught me how to live yeah that freedom was not having the possessions yeah there was a lot of that it kind of turned
it started with the whatever when that story about the guy picked up Howard Hughes outside of Vegas Melbourne Howard yeah he showed him kindness and he didn't care about his money he didn't know who he was you know it's just a good dude it's just a good just a good dude that story turned out to be bullshit by the way but but anyway yeah there was a lot of that there was that trope there was I learned more from that homeless guy than I learned in prep school right then there was was the big time rich hot actor sky who just felt check who fell for the schlubby dude yeah some reason oh man yeah the nodding hill yeah they made like 11 of those movies in a row yes there was that one and there was the uh make up you know because let's face it all the rich people in the 80s were always miserable like they would they would they would sit and have dinner but they'd sit at
either end of a 14 foot long table and like the rich guy they would dress for dinner this was all insane to me because I would eat dinner on my stepdad's bed watching a TV in the 10 because it only plays we had a wall mount air condition a window mount air condition and that's it they're eating a hungry man's house very steak dinner sitting on my stepdad john's bed and one but in these movies they dressed for dinner you know tie on you put a gown on and then it's some and there are either end of a 14 foot table you know what I mean and he gets served and then the guy would say to the butler he'd go please inform Mrs. Jenkins that I don't care for her tardiness thank you and then he'd walk across and he'd you're like oh they're rich with their so that's how they do it they're so miserable but that guy's poor but he's free you know man yeah this guy just drove and was stupid yeah unbelievable but he was he was pumped he was he was
pumped up I'm bummed I wasn't in the Uber he sounds like a not an Uber not an Uber we he's a car service car service and escalade I can't like escalade what an amazing unbelievable Melvin and Howard starred Paul Amatt who's also in yeah loha bobby and rose yeah and also American Mary Feeley right so then I was literally literally raped by a sausage I I had this thought where I said to Andrew and Mike I said I'm gonna make you two a scramble I'll make you the best scramble your life I'll make an egg for breakfast and I'm making you guys a scramble so I said Mike what do you like and he said I like onion I said check so like sausage I said check so they're like cheese I said check so okay we're good I may put some tomato in there
but we're doing a scramble so we stopped at this store and it's in Maui and I got all the fixings and Andrew like spinach I got everything we need and I was gonna go look for this I went to go look for the sausage and I went to the that meet the the butcher's counter now let me tell you guys a tip when you're making a sausage like you're doing pasta sauce you're doing sausage in it and then go do you want a hot one or a sweet Italian one go 50 50 go one hot one and one sweet one and mix them all together turns out turns out good so I'm looking for the Italian sausage I'm seeing bratwurst blah blah blah and I see Italian sausage and and it's it's Johnsonville and I'm like all right that's a good brand this looks good but it has a little logo on it and the logo
is Dr. Pepper it's a logo of Dr. Pepper on it and I'm looking at the Dr. Pepper logo it doesn't say anything it just has a logo of Dr. Pepper and I'm looking at it and I go what is that some sort of game day thing like Johnsonville and Dr. Pepper you know drink each or have your your brought your sandwich give your brought and then drink your Dr. Pepper like send in your fruit and I just I just keep looking at it and it's a it's a regular Johnsonville sausage Italian sausage raw you got to cook them big big thick ones and and a logo for Dr. Pepper like in the corner and I'm trying to make heads or tails and I'm a fucking retard because I'm just looking at it going must be some cross promotion and I'm thinking college football or I'm just thinking collegeville or whatever that stupid thing is with Bosworth you know I'm thinking they're selling Dr. Pepper's got to cross over deal with the sausage you know such a sandwich
anyway I come back I'm telling everyone I'm gonna make them a great great scramble so I start cutting up all the sausage and I get the I get the I get the onion out and I get the butter out I'm like sauteing the onions and I'm sauteing the sausage and I'm cooking it all up but I'm standing over the pan and I'm getting a smell and the smell is weird like it is not savory and it's not sausage-y it's just a weird smell that I've never smelled before a little bit of a chemical vibe to it a little sweet I don't know what it is but I'm not at my house it's an art my pots and pans it's not my stove so I think I'm getting some kind of weird somebody else's house cooking residue thing and I don't know what it is but I keep smelling it but you're using a convection oven time I'm using a convection oven thing not a flame the glass anyway I'm cooking it all up and at some point like I taste one of the sausages and it tastes just weird it doesn't taste good it
it tastes a little bit bad but mostly it's just weird like totally flavorless and kind of weird and I'm like what is that and something I'm thrown off because I'm not I'm not home court now someone else's house with the weird glass cooked top thing and I'm like I don't know what this is and so then I cook it all up and I I keep tasting it and I'm like this sausage tastes like cotton candy it doesn't taste like sausage it's not zesty it's not flavorful it's not anything it just tastes like it looks exactly like sausage and it tastes like like like somebody put like a poof of like air freshener in your mouth or something when you bitten on a sausage I think it's sweet but it's not flavorful but it tastes weird but it tastes like powdered sugar or cotton candy or something I what the fuck is this and it is gross and I made up three big ones I've been
chopped all thing up and I'm like what is going on and I'm reading the package and I'm like this is Dr. Pepper flavored sausage that I fucking bought and I broke my rule I hate when I yeah I go yeah I looked around like I was looking for the sweet stuff and I was looking for the hot stuff and I was like I don't know where it is but this is just sausage I'll get it and it was the fucking grossest tasting thing ever also I swear to God it's got to be a regional thing there is no god damn way you can go to the whole foods in Malibu and get Dr. Pepper flavored sauce Dr. Pepper infused this is a Hawaiian thing this is because they eat gross meat weird shit they're they they got a weird palate on them it's got to be that it can't be nationwide it can't be it can't be in California now it looks like it is nationwide no yeah John from Bill partnered with Dr. Pepper to release an official Dr. Pepper inspired sausage it needs to say this is Dr. Pepper
sausage not just that logo this is just this is the flaming Cheeto application of the palate in America where we're just destroying your taste buds yes there's nothing broken about sausage this stuff tastes sweet flavorless a little nauseating mostly weird and inedible so then I make this whole big scramble with the sausage in undying and cheese and everything and it just tastes like shit and so I just eat around the sausage thankfully Mike makes the proclamation there is no bad sausage and Mike devours all the sausage and then I said Mike there's still some sausage and egg left in the pan because it's bringing it on he devoured that too he loved it and it was grote I don't know you guys know what I'm talking about with food when it crosses over into weird almost weird where you're like is this bad or like something like I get stuff that doesn't work like
there's like oh this is too salty or this is too hot or something like that now that's not what this is this is weird this is your mouth is going I don't know this is like when your dog bites into like some pickled root a bag or something like bites it and then opens its mouth and drops it out like you know pets just open their mouth and go and it just falls out that's what you wanted to do with this weirdo doctor pepper sausage and it's on me I just didn't know it existed and I didn't know our society had decayed enough for us to even create this I didn't know in my mind they're you're not alone on this there's some deeply divided reviews what are the reviews how can there be a good review it was cro cask yeah this Walmart review says it tastes and smells like a scented candle I just said that yeah holy smokes wow these dogs are not meant to be raw dog
meaning they either ate enough spicy mustard in all a fucking bavaria to fix that sausage oh man the the sausage is way too sweet the flavor profile leans heavily into artificial cherry yeah it's weird it tasted like an air freshener was in your mouth yeah our scented candle so I remember I remember going to my great aunt's house she had all those old look magazines I remember this because evidently in the 60s doctor pepper to keep doctor pepper sales up said try heating it up and serving it with a lemon oh no well I just served it with thank god my the it's not meant to be cold okay it was grotesque how are you on doctor pepper when it's cold 100% fine and that's what makes this so much more heartbreaking Andrew because I was devastated it ruined the whole scramble everything else got polluted by some weird
sweet I don't know it's again it's like it's like you made yourself a scramble and somebody just put powdered sugar all over it and just made it sweet and weird I tried to save it I tried to put soy sauce on it to like well I was trying to do is get something really briny and salty in there yeah like try to bring it back couldn't do it fucked up and weird and now there's two sausages left and I can't throw away food so I'm gonna cook those up yeah cook them up leave them out in the there's a cat around I don't about feeding the cat I fed the cat some milk yesterday I know so maybe we'll cook it up we'll feed it to the cat we'll see if they like it cats can eat that shit I guess podcasting isn't just about talking it's about growing engaging and monetizing and that's where podcast one pro comes in whether you're an independent creator or a major brand podcast one pro gives you the tools you need to take your podcast to the next level we're talking

they're free 24 seven that is so a fact on Pluto TV stream now pay never all right so anyway let's do some news man we've got an an abandoned LA mansion turns into a party freefrawl and wealthy neighbors are furious a million dollar mansion perched along Los Angeles's legendary Mohan drive has become anything but a dream home with squatters and trust passers turning the unfinished property into a late night party pets i guess high school and college kids are going to seventy seven eleven mahalan drive which boosts excuse me which both sweeping views of the city it's right underneath the universal overlook uh... kids are coming there at night to party it's tagged up with graffiti uh... oh man well look you're looking at the considering the people who squat places in Los Angeles are in
california more laws and more rights than the owners do you know i mean why not i mean if everything is going to just be lawless then why why pay rent you know like what are we what are we doing here people i i don't blame anyone anymore because we're living in a lawless society in least Los Angeles so who's to blame these people and and and we we live in a world where strangers can move into your home and live in it and the law is on their side ostensibly yeah that's right and i have no idea why we want to create that but also everything is unintended consequences if that's going to be the law people are going to take advantage of it yeah and listen when you were in high school you're always looking for some open field to put a keg you have an open house right here why not so no i mean i'll look one someone's parents would go to europe for ten days and everyone just moved into the house
yeah that's that's the way it worked and let me just give a quick uh... buy the buy to people about something i was uh... in florida uh... two weeks ago and like some dumb broad walked in holding their dog of course with one hand and pouring coffee she's in the restaurant it's like and and a lobby the hotel but she's in the restaurant and she's pouring a coffee she's you know getting her forks and stuff that's kind of like continental breakfast whatever and i was like get that fucking dog out of this restaurant taking it right up the whole time she's holding oh i hate it when they hold it up high it's a shaggy dog and they're pouring coffee and going for the cream and stuff like it's your fucking dog and they're dandering out of here but i will never ever compliment one of those bitches on their dog and the problem is is inevitably other women and women who work at the fucking restaurant come up and they go oh what's his name oh it's a girl
is it and i look at don't encourage don't encourage you're fucking encouraging this bitch to bring her dog into the next place and pollute if they're fucking dog well you should be doing is shunning cold salt cold shoulder just just shun shun because every time when you comes up and compliments her on a dog on the dog that gives her more momentum to bring the dog to the next establishment fuck that bitch they should all be black bulb okay let's find the edge of this map what how do you feel about a dog at a Starbucks but it's all bad no dogs inside oh man no indoor dog sorry and group that's what you do that's what i do you see your fucking tie up your dog outside my entire life every establishment i went to there was a dog tied up on the outside that's what that it's actually fun for people because you can people pet people but dog well i don't know if i trust that i've got two tiny little dogs yeah i can pick them up yeah i pre-order at the Starbucks
to look like right on the reverse side i go and i grab my stuff like i am listen in front of stores and supermarkets in places like that and malls like outdoor malls they had two things for kids they had the mechanical horse you would sit on oh man yeah put it time in you ride that and when you're done riding that you go pet someone else's dog there's a lot to do it it was a full that was a full weekend for us so that's like hey we're going out to the gelt we're going out to the Albertson it's going to be a big day oh we're going to ride a fake horse you're going to pet a real dog bro yeah it was it was cheap trails but you rode that horse for a nickel and then you went over and petted that guy's dog that's like this close-ever got to having my own dog is just going to the store and then petting someone else's dog who was tied up and by the way next to the dog that was tied up there was somebody else on a box full of puppies and they were giving away puppies
they were giving away puppies they were dog would have a litter because they didn't fix the dog the dog would have seven or eight puppies they put them in a crate they'd go out front of the supermarket and they would sit there they do with dogs and cats and it's like you want a puppy you want a kitten and so I could go over there I could ride that mechanical horse I could go paint I could pet that full-size dog over there then I could circle back and pet the puppy I had to like kick tires you know like oh my mom's shopping but we're kind of looking for a dog yeah you know how it is you go in the store and you got to get some cereal and some rice and some skirt steak and a dog yeah you know what I mean and you could yell in like my get some puppy chow why we don't oh yes we do do now so I would play with a crate of puppies and then back to the horse again you know I was a home manassuary it was just a leisure was like a Noah's arc of free fun
pulling on in front of the Albertsons in North Hollywood all right well when you frame in like that that I'm depriving a young child yes lock my I used to walk fill around fill is a load but I'd like and I would just loop him around and time I don't know though I think my area and to look alike it's it's slowly getting worse there are some street creatures you got to be careful dog nappers there's dog nappers there's some critters there's a there are I'm right down the street from the Warner Brothers Ranch and when they leveled all those old houses that the houses used in lethal weapon national lampoons Christmas vacation they leveled all of the Warner Brothers Ranch to build these new studios there were like evidently thousands of rats living there and like a hundred coyotes so now they all flooded into Toluca Lake all right listen I if you want to pre-order Starbucks and walk in with your polish yet and get it out that's fine but you don't bring them
into a restaurant you don't walk around no we don't bring them to a restaurant good all right next story next story okay speaking of establishments of California a piece a pizza joint excuse me doubled as a meth dent in a bizarre California drug case as a migrant is charged with running the operations so that's a that's a mouthful so we'll break this down a California pizza shop has gone belly up after federal agents allegedly uncovered 40 pound meth operation involving an Indian national prosecutors say was illegally in the United States so this gentleman co-alprete seeing 50 years old and then on federal charges of distributing meth possessing meth with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime so he's basically pulling a
a gust-frame breaking bad but out of a round table pizza royalty shop round table pizza you still have funny commercials they used to do funny commercials like like like certain certain companies would do funny commercials back in the day like real men of genius with Bud Light yeah they would do great commercials or re-bock with Terry Tate office linebacker oh man that's the greatest ad campaign ever it just kept going they got another linebacker recruited and what Terry got hurt that was like it it was great and round table you guys can look them up like from back in the day would do funny commercials I have a vague memory of it but it's been it's been a long time yes listen this country was built by immigrants we need more immigrants and they actually commit less crime statistically than people are born here so that's what you're looking
for which you're looking for is like if the people here if you know five out of a thousand are killers you want to then import a bunch of people were only three out of a thousand are killers that's how you solve the murder problem you understand Andrew yes you did the math I've done the math this yeah this so this store was in Fresno and if convicted uh saying faces a mandatory medium of a mandatory minimum minimum of 10 years up to life in prison plus a fine of up to 10 million dollars for drug trafficking so I don't see what happens uh I miss a good funny commercial man oh I'm telling you around table I swear it's a vague memory but I always remember the funny stuff like when I was when I was young especially and I remember that um what else we got how we doing on time we have time for maybe one more story here a influencer has
died after receiving a penis enlargement injection in Thailand so British Nigerian influencer died following a botched penis enlargement procedure in Thailand according to a UK coronary report uh e-cock this was yes he was vacationing in Bangkok with his wife when he underweight went the procedure on March 5th so this isn't your wife supposed to try to talk you out of that you know like you know when women go I think I'm gonna go on a diet the guy has to go no no you're perfect the way you are right so when you go I think I'm gonna see if I can pack some weight on my pain yeah isn't the woman have to go you know no it's perfect it's not the size it's the motion of the ocean that's right that's right yeah so um man hi this is just a whole new world for me uh this guy super successful influencer owned a
million dollar home in Los Angeles and he six hundred thousand dollar apartment and London I probably like can I take one a million dollar house looks like in Los Angeles it looks like a ranch two bedroom one and a half bath 1200 square foot in a bad part of an ice like the scariest part about Los Angeles is there is no home any any of you people that are listening right now if I said you have one million dollars you have to live in Los Angeles and you have to buy a single family residence you would not be comfortable or feel safe in any house you bought for a million dollars you could buy a condo and do it but the house at one million not gonna do it and by the way the six hundred thousand the six hundred thousand dollar boys and London I didn't know how good you feel about that place either because that's more expensive than Los Angeles yeah the second you go
on zillow and put one million dollars your maximum I mean all those red dots disappear it's also crazy it's also crazy when you're from Los Angeles because I'll go this black lives matter woman she bought a three million dollar mansion in Los Angeles like if there's no there's no three million dollar mansions not in the back yeah it's it's still yeah you got to go I mean you're probably looking for houses yeah is there single family residences that are that are a million dollars in a place you would want to live yes without central hair central area you have to basically put in you have to put in about half a million dollars to get it up to speed yeah yeah there's probably stuff that they built with that would it's not not turnkey no moving in not the neighborhood you'd want to live in yeah well this guy was buried in London in a gold call a coffin costing seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars so also that his wife has thoughts about the seven hundred fifty thousand dollar coffin
