Gunsmoke - "Blood Money" (1960)

About this episode

Gunsmoke, “Blood Money,” originally broadcast March 6, 1960, is episode 413. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon in this CBS frontier drama, written by John Meston and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell.

Searching the dry prairie for water, Dillon and Chester find Joe Harp tending to Harry Speener, who has suffered a badly broken leg after being thrown from his horse. Bringing the two men back toward Dodge City, Dillon finds that a troubling piece of official mail may change everything. This 1960 broadcast reworks Meston’s earlier 1954 Gunsmoke story of the same title.

Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
