Harrods Scandal: Victims Demand Justice

On March 24, victims of former Herod's owner, Muhammad Al-Fayed, are urging the government

to provide a real path to justice, including probes into human trafficking linked to decades

of alleged rapes and assaults.

They claim a network of people helped enable the abuse.

The Metropolitan Police has expanded its investigation to cover all related crimes, with

154 victims now reporting incidents of.

Sexual assault, rape, exploitation, and trafficking.

Over this month, the police interviewed three women under caution for offenses like human

trafficking and aiding rape.

These women, in their 40s, 50s and 60s, were questioned between 25th February and 5th March.

Survivors say the police and government efforts fall short, calling it Britain's own Epstein

style scandal.

Around 30 of them joined a virtual meeting with the all-party parliamentary group for survivors,

where they spoke directly with Jess Phillips, the minister for safeguarding and violence against

women and girls.

Al-Fayed ran herits from 1985 until 2010 and died in 2023 at age 94.

A BBC documentary and podcast in September 2024 exposed the full scale through stories

from more than 20 former employees.

Parliamentary leaders are pushing for public inquiry into Al-Fayed's crimes and his

enablers, while another meeting with the Prime Minister is set, for the coming weeks

to keep the pressure on for accountability.
