Dr Alicia is a multi-published author of over 20 fiction and non-fiction books with a PhD  investigating how the romance genre serves as a medium through which to explore the complex themes of trauma, trauma response, post-trauma effects, and trauma recovery, subsequently identifying a “post-trauma romance” subgenre.
