This is live morning Z10 on ESPN New York and streaming live on YouTube. We have spent time today on a few different fronts. Number one, the Aaron Judge injury last night. And that is Judge leaving the game with stiffness in his right leg. I felt it at first in the first inning then did not come out until the sixth inning about it. Here is Judge on his concern level.
We're wrapping up. We're still trying to ramp up so there's going to be little things like this that come up and just thought it'd be best instead of pushing through like I normally do and might become a little worse. Get somebody who's ready to go in there and showing what's best for the team. And then there's Aaron Boone on the topic of the problem. Yeah, obviously he's key figure to what we do. Hopefully we don't get it treated and knock it out and be a factor at some point. The early indications are that he's not going to get any kind of a imaging on it, but we've gotten an entire day off and you're not going to hear anything about it. Frankly, until tomorrow and look, this is bothersome for me because we're in the middle of ramping up here. And you're trying to get ready for the postseason. It's one thing to tell me, well, he'll be ready for the postseason. That's fine. What I know is when he first came back after missing three months and got it bad, he was three for 17 and it's he needed every one of these at bats the next couple of weeks that the Yankees were going to run them out there for after they clenched in order to be what I would
call as close to midseason for him as you can and I find that trouble. I'll be interested to see if there was any sort of ramifications with the flight from Minnesota out to the desert, if you know, whatever the injury is, if it kind of flared up or, you know, obviously we'll find out here. I think you also have to be measured about where this team stands right now. Like we were talking about it. Let's face it. Barring a miracle one way or the other, they're locked into the number one wild card. You know, you're six up on the red socks seven because you have the tiebreaker. They're not catching you and Tampa Bay's playing this afternoon against Oakland or the A's at home. They win that game. You're five back and you're not going to have the tiebreaker on them. So it's really six. You can pretty much kiss the division. Goodbye. You're the wild card team. Do what you have to do with this point and this includes keeping your guys as tip top shape wise as they possibly could be getting ready for the playoffs. That includes judge who, by the way, is your most important player. Are you shutting them down for right now until the blow? I need to know what this injury is. I need to know what this injury is because like
he said earlier, you know, this is something that you deal with in spring training. Well, if it's not me deal with in spring training, if this was indeed spring training, are you going to be a little bit more transparent with what the actual nature of the almanus, right? Because he's not being specific. Boons not being specific yet. They both kind of know what this thing is. Well, what is it? Well, but doesn't that bother you that they're not being that specific? Yeah, it was certainly not downplaying any sort of cryptic nature that they're adding to this. I think is a problem. This is why it's going to become an excuse. It's going to become an excuse. And this can't become an excuse for the next few years because we have now reached the point or more often than not this stuff is going to happen with judge. Okay. He had a good three year stretch where he didn't really get hurt at all. And then this year came we are hitting what age 34 at this point. It does not get better as you go along. And that window of not maximizing
the heart of Aaron Judges career, I'm not saying it's shutting, but it's creaking. It's creaking. Well, because remember, it was a tag team that was judging Cole. Cole at the time was one of the best pitchers in the game. Judge, of course, one of the best hitters in the game. He got both of them in their primes and yet you haven't maximized the opportunity to win a championship. And I'm with you like as you we've already seen their baseball mortality a little bit come into focus, right? Cole just got done missing a year with Tommy John surgery. Judge, this has been pretty much a wash year for him. And I said it back earlier in the show in case you missed it. You go back, listen on the ESPN New York app or on the YouTube. I still that that's promotion there, my friend. This to me is is a clear byproduct of the world baseball classic. The season that Judges had, you know, this is now two injuries in one season, one so to two injuries. I mean, I can give you the list. I mean, Edwin Diaz pitch the WBC. Look at the crap here. He's had for the Dodgers trying to stay healthy and effective. Paul Schienz looks like a shell of his former self. This is all WBC fall
out in my opinion. Well, they got to stop with this crap. If you're going to do this thing, and I don't want to get new to a whole discussion about it, it's every four years. It's for Gazing. It's made up for Gazing fans get into it because it allows them to be nationalistic. Right. And it allows parts of our country that are more inhabited by a lot more people from the Dominican Republic and from Puerto Rico. And, you know, you get tremendous crowds in Florida and Los Angeles and the places where you play these games. And people are all into it. And you want to say people are into it. And it's great. You want to do that. Fine. Do it instead of the All-Star game once every four years, play it in the middle of the season. And when at least guys are ramped up and ready to go or do it after the season with anything or do it after the season. Right. When you just if you love it that much, if you care that much about your national pride, then play after the season. More like the four nations thing. Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. And again, like, and I don't want to make this a WBC conversation, but the issue that I always have but it comes up now when this is a can. Absolutely. But the issue that I always had with a legitimacy and the credibility of it is it's not the best players. You know what I mean? So if
you want to take a bow that you want to WBC great like, but there's not a gun to these guys head Chris where the best players in the United States have to play in this or the best Dominican players, the best Puerto Rican players, the best Japanese players. Like, so is it really the best of the best of the best? It's only the best of who's playing. Yeah. And that's unfortunate. And when that happens and it ends up costing you later in the year, I'm sorry. If Edwin Diaz or if Judge or whoever had been the difference in my country, make it and winning the WBC, I'm sitting here in September right now. I can't remember details of the WBC. I can't remember a damn thing about it. It means nothing to me. And if you wanted to be something, make it something when it actually matters and when it doesn't hurt your sport, this is hurting your sport. Are you going to tell me that I'm not having air and judge in the post season? If he is in fact down again and part of the injury could be because he played in that thing when he wasn't great, ready to go out there and play yet,
whether it's all tied together, how are you going to feel about that, man, Fred? If you're Rob Manfred, I wouldn't feel great about that. I think it's a lot more important to my sport to have air and judge playing in the post season that it is to have him playing in the WBC. I'll tell you this, if I'm one of the team owners and I would sit there and put my foot down if these guys wanted to a guy on my team that I'm paying, let's say maybe $10, $20 million a year, want to go play in this thing? It's like, not if it's going to impact what I'm paying you to do. Sorry. And I don't care if there's a player revolt. What matters to me more is what I'm paying you to perform for, not this WBC thing. You do that on your own time. Not if it's going to interfere with season. Now as it gets to the the Yankees here and moving forward, what the other thing that bothers me is if judge comes back and judge is going to come back, I'm not going to be negative about that. But what are you judge comes back and he can only do that. That's a problem. I do a massive log gym. 100% you do. Now do you think that as far as the next 12 hours go, do you think
do you operate under the assumption? No news is good news. First of all, I don't buy for a second that the Yankees aren't going to do imaging. No, 100% they will. Not for a minute. But if we don't hear anything today, I would think that the chances reduce considerably that it's anything serious. I think it means nothing. You don't think it means anything. No, I just think that if something lets a negative word to transpire, like when they do tests or they get out there, I think that like a passing or somebody you like would break this. Yeah, like, oh, by the way, rumor has it or somebody who covers the team. Even though they're on the road and they're hunkered down in a hotel, I just I don't know. I just think it would find its way out. Does it make it easier to handle from a public public perspective? If you ease them into the news on a day off, I mean, that's my only argument. I don't know if it makes a difference one way or the other. I mean, look, it's not ideal. But I just think if it's kind of innocent nature and it's nothing more than day to day, like kind of boon intimated, then I just don't think we're going to hear about it today because they don't play. And there's a discussion about Peter Lonzo, which continued last night with home run
number 301. You just showed me a video that somebody took a little while ago of when a Lonzo homer the other night to tie the game in the ninth inning. And of course, that was career home run number 300. And it was a video that a fan took again, because just because we have to say it now, yep, 98% sure it's not AI. Correct. But it does, it certainly does not appear to be. And it's Steve Cohen sitting in the front row getting up and cheering. Yep. You have a problem with that. At the end of the video, he gets up and you could see him putting his hands together, a clap for Pete, who didn't stay with him that long, which I would have preferred that that would have been the case. I wonder why unless it's somebody like grabbed the phone or what I, you know, like somebody saw what he was doing and grabbed one of Cohen's thoughts, security. God forbid. No, but again, the owner sat there and applauded, right? Even though it came at the expense of his team, which he owns, and he's got the highest payroll and baseball again, no problem with any of it. I normally would. I frankly, I normally would because even if it was acrimonious the way it worked out,
I would not want my fans. I would not myself be cheering for a guy that was hitting a home run to tie a game in the ninth inning, but the game meant nothing. And my more important message to get across right now is how much I cannot stand what's going on with the front off. Correct. And that message has been clearly delivered the last couple of days. And you know the weird thing too. And we had Steve Galbzon. He kind of alluded to this a little bit for the most part. And I know the games have not meant anything, but I still watch, you know, almost every day because I like baseball. I'm a fan, right? They really have played hard. They've played. And I always like joke around say like they're a watchable team now where they weren't the first three three and a half months of the season. But Andy Green gets credit for how these guys have still gone out there and performed the last few days and last night reached a whole new level because they had to have that spot starter at the last minute because Robert Stock got scratched because he had the numbness of his fingers. So Curry found out five minutes before the game basically he was pitching. And so you expect the
the barrage that happened. But the last three days felt different. They didn't feel like I was watching a team that came to the field every day and played hard and gave an honest effort. Last few days it felt like you were watching a team that was kind of just there. Like tell me when the season's over counting the you know punch in the time card if you will. Yeah. Right? Like waiting for the season then unfortunately they still got to go. Oh, no mistake. There are guys in there counting this. Absolutely. And what's if you do have even a quasi quasi form of rooting interest the rest of the way like to me. I can sell you or at least I can sell myself to want to watch the next four games against Philadelphia. Nothing to do with playing spoiler. I have my four young starting pictures all going the next four days against Philadelphia seeing if I can maybe ruin their playoff hopes a little bit and see these guys pitch pitch big games for the opponent at this a relevant point. No, it does because I like watching these guys. I mean tonight's McLean.
Right. McLean to me like I said I think he's got the goods. I get geeked up every time he takes the mound. I will be locked into the McLean starts regardless. And that's a national TV game. Our buddy Kenning is on the call tonight. Oh, okay. Yeah. Nice. I personally like the old ruining it for somebody else thing. Yeah. Has never really done it very much for me unless it's a team that I just outwardly hate. And I want to make sure I can do everything I can to keep them away. I mean, Philadelphia's chances of winning the division are basically over after they had that rough series against the braves. Yeah. But big picture wise, you know, depending on what happens with the Metz managerial search in the offseason like Philly's postseason run could impact that because if the Philly's get bounced out a lot earlier than people think and they're going to move on from Don Mattingley and let's say somebody like Alex Kora then takes the job because of his ties with Thumbbrowski. Well, then that's one name possibly not there for the Metz GP. I'm Rothenberg Don Hanan Rosa Berg now officially on MSG Network. You can catch both shows every weekday. Simulcast

O'Roughton Berg Don Hanan Rosa Berg now live every day on MSG Networks. I hung up on him earlier when he was talking about cereal. He wanted to get to a jet point. He is Brian and Sleepy Hollow. He is back. Brian, what's up? I'm back. I'm back. Yeah, I feel pretty again for that. Brian, Brian, I got you back. You know that. I got you back. I feel pretty confident about the jet. And that's like the first time in a while. I don't know. I kind of think Packers are a little bit soft and something about like the rain game. I think they're going to open up the ground of pounds and I think it's going to be close.
Here's the thing, Brian. I shouldn't let you back on the ground. Can I make one more point here? Oh, geez. Why not? I mean, you're here. Go ahead. I'm here. So I just want to say that the whole, you know, all the bills being on the SPM, there are another New York team. That's all I have to say. And you know, they're good job. And we're going to have a little bit of advocate for Brian. Great. It's a good thing that this is not so team, you know. The puppets for crying out loud. I can't sit there and mimic everything he's going to say. I don't know what he's going to talk about. Look, I wait, wait, you know what? Just come on next time and say, Papa Bowie. It's better or pack you can and go. You know what's interesting about the Packers, like in doing some of the work. First of all, they've lost dating back the last year. They've lost six games in a row. Yeah, they have last three or blue double digit leads. And it's all been since Parsons got hurt. This is, you know, in a place like Green Bay, I don't think anything would happen mid season. This is a game on the hot seat. He's on the proverbial hot. Now, who get another job in five minutes
if once the Packers move on from them. Yeah. But this is a bit. Let's face it. It's a much bigger game for Green Bay on Sunday. I think that it is the Jets given what the expectations were going into the season. You're the Packers. You don't want to start Oh and two. No, you don't. But I would also say that if you're the Jets, yes, it's a bigger game for the Packers, but for my perception standpoint for the Jets, it's an incredibly big. It's a huge opportunity. Like we saw when we saw last week, can you show that you're a functional team against the decent team as opposed to just one against the bad team? It does kind of have eerie kind of reminders of one of the times they won on opening day 2018. Sam Darnel's rookie year. They went into Detroit, walloped them on that Monday night football, came home for a week to home opener. And everybody was jazzed up. It was going to be Sam Darnel's first game at home. The Messiah has arrived. The blah, blah, blah. And what do they do? They played an uninspiring game against Adam Gase's dolphins. Yeah. And lost. So it's like we'd been down this road before.
But you know, I think that getting them at the right time, like we've talked about, you know, no Parsons, no Jacobs, they're banged up on the offensive line. That offense though, that passing game is legit. Like they will go out there and light you up and missing Mink of its Patrick, I think could be a bit of an issue because that secondary, I still think there's some questions that need to be answered. Now the Titans weren't good enough to exploit that. The Packers are. They've got the personnel and more importantly, the quarterback to do it. Hopefully that doesn't rear its ugly head on Sunday. Hit it. What's getting the alarm? Richard and Manhattan. If you need a few moments to run to the bathroom or take a break now would be your time to do it. Is Richard joins us on ESPN New York. Richard, hello. Oh, hi Chris. Hi, Dan. Look growing up into 60s. These would have serious. Top three serious. Hey, Richard, Richard, Richard, we're going to do this right. You're going to go three to one. Okay. Three to one. Three counting down. All right. Okay. No, last one, which late 60s
captain crunch and that came out around when pop talks came out. So pop talks is not technically a serial, but they were. It's not even it's not a technical thing. Top pop talks are nothing like a serial. But you know, it has to pop up. It's street. It is breakfast street. Back, by the way, back then in those early days in the late 60s, he was first lieutenant crunch. Yeah, he was not a captain yet. Sorry, that was. Number two. No, I go back. Which alphabet post post made them. How for that? I forgot about that. That was that. Yeah. Alphabet. Alphabet. Yeah. And number one was collage serial. Like I used to. Number one was first words. Number one was collage first, first it flakes Tony to tiger. That was the best. First it's like stand here. Take number one on Richard's list. Love for us to flakes. Nothing wrong with a good for us to like. That's a solid number. All right. Here's how I would look at God. If the meds gave lines to 150 for five years,
which he probably would have taken. Here's how I'm from Sterns and I'm going. 50 is for the first year. Now, would you say he had a 50 million dollar year this year? I think so played every game. He's in the top 10 right now in MVP in both leagues. He is worth the 50 million for this year. Next year, it would go down to 40. So he'd have to have a 40 million dollar year. The third year, a 30 million dollar year and third in fifth 15 each. So even though this deterioration, you're paying him less for real years, four and five. That's how you look at it. And that is up to 150, 50, 40, 30 and 215. There's your 150. No question. That's just mathematical. Don't give me anything else. That's just mathematics. Don't tell me about analytic. Rich, I have a question for you though. And this comes from another of our audience. Very, very curious about this. We're talking cereals, all these sugary cereals. How do you feel about that as somebody who works in the dental industry? Oh, it's terrible. Well, they should brush your teeth right after. Or any
sugary is the worst. It's good for business. It's good for your business though, right? Well, of course, everyone would leap forward on their teeth. It's good for the business. Okay. So the headline here is no MLO's gum disease. Ginger. Now, I got to change it majorly, baseball. You better propose this ESPN right now. Vietnam, two saves less. Two saves. Vietnam blew to save in the ninth. And he blew to, I mean, in the tenth and he blew it in the eleventh. And he only got charged for one blown save. He blew it twice. So I think he should have been charged for two blown saves yesterday on his record. That has to be changed. So is, that the one the club bridges, who's had the bigger resurrection? Yeah, bridges. It's a champion champion. Yeah, that's a no brainer. Yeah. I mean, Volpy isn't exactly Jesus yet. I mean, I'm not a correction. The kill bridges. I mean, he might be right up there in Lazarus territory. Yeah, I mean, you know, I mean, he won a championship. Yeah, listen, I mean, bridges, we all left for,
well, there we go again. When Richard left for dead, when Richard was showing down memory, layman, the cereals, I thought he was going to give me like a little lore fan Annie or something like that. Like back in the day, I don't know. Bargay used to talk about King vitamin, which was the super knockoff atrocious cereal that he would get as a kid. Cave vitamin. Oh my god, just tasted horribly. He's definitely got any in eating kind of like buffet one day of all the knockoff cereals. I didn't know this. And so
for a while, I was feeling guilty because I would go over there and I would rate it, you know, and you know, get my share. But then I started to, all right, you know, and I'm going to contribute to at least paying for it. And now I'm like, well, if I'm just throwing like $20 over there, like what does that say? Like, oh, here, get me more candy. Yeah. So you know what I do now is like probably once every two weeks, I stop next door at the CVS. I grab a bag of candy and I bring it over and I put it on the desk. And I'm not looking for any credit or anything. I think other people have put money in and contribute. I'm not the only one. So you contribute to the cause. Yes. Even though you're going to go and poach from it. Correct. Correct. Because I think that's only right. And this time I happened to buy a bag at the CVS that had little many packets of Reese's pieces. So they're on her desk over there if you want one. I mean, you could have pulled a few bags aside. And maybe just no, I'm not doing that. Packets. I'm begging bags. Just like, hey,
here's a few, you know, like, enjoy. I'm not doing that. I'm not taking it away from anybody else in this office who has come over and has grown accustomed to having candy because there are times when you walk over there. And what do you know, there are 25 three musketeers and nothing else. You know, why three musketeers sucks? No, three musketeers isn't bad. That is, that is not even in any portness storm situation. No, I'm not passing. It's not a scores bar. I have a score is good. Come on. Score is like a heathbar. No. Yes. No. Get a drop. Get a drop. Get a crap at a new get. No, no, no, no get is very underrated. I'll take a three musketeers over a score any day of the week. That's like eating a cloud. What's the difference between Milky Way and three musketeers? Milky Way is the caramel. That's right. But I'm going to end the new get in a milky way is thicker. I don't need it fluffier and area. Can I tell you what I did the other day? True story. I was we had the meeting after the show a couple of days ago, which I wasn't expecting. I just
didn't have it on my car. You participate. I participated. But it was lengthy. That was at least like 60 minutes and Mike Wallace wasn't even aware. No, I walked out here after two o'clock. Okay. You know, was it you did too. All right, everybody calm down. Anyway, so by the time I got home starving, hadn't eaten for a while, sandwich, lunch, whatever, still hungry. Go down to the refrigerator, never do this. Had a a two-pock. Reese's two-pack two-pock. Okay. Peanut butter cups. Don't usually do this. Like I said, king size small size, regular size big cup. But for me, having the two cups, like that's excessive in my opinion, took it. Having a package of Reese's peanut butter cups, two cups is excessive. In my refrigerator, we only if we have it at all, there only going to be the individual ones. Okay. Right. So I had this leftover from somewhere that had it destroyed it. Like crushed it. That's to me the definition of indulging. That's or over indulging. Wow. Yeah. You don't even know what it looks like. It's discipline. Yeah. You don't even know what and I hate myself the rest of the afternoon for it. I was like, boy, why did I do that?
Was it a moment of weakness? Like what was I thinking? Like you start to play it over and over and over in your head. Well, listen to our Reese's pieces out there for love Reese's pieces. Best Sunday ever was the friendlies Reese's pieces Sunday. I used to get it without the marshmallow as good as could be. Didn't love marshmallow. Reese's pieces is a gift from the gods. I'm surprised when you open up the Bible that Reese's pieces just don't come crumbling out. It does. It's in the little bit of the bit of the kids. Okay. Carlin Cross a ESPN New York. It's called Would You Rather? It's Would You Rather? Where we ask the questions. How many times would I have to hit myself in the head with this microphone before it killed? And Chris has to pick no matter how bad both options are. Don't be a dumbass. Well, Dan has picked two. That's true. Once again, we do this live from Roma. I don't know why that is. Yeah, the accordion. Yeah, we weren't over this last week. The accordion is not getting a lot of love. Well, that's Venice. I don't have been Roma, I don't think, right? But still Italy though, right? Yeah, sure. Yeah. I was watching notions 12 yesterday made me think I heard this music. Ocean 12. Is that the either one with the all female cast? No, that's ocean to eight. Eight. That's the fourth one. 12th the sequel of 11. Correct. I haven't seen any
of the ocean movies. None. No, not a very big aquatic guy. Oh my god. Dan, I do. I do. I do you know, too. I did see that. Well, because they got to find some. There's no original fought in Hollywood anymore. How can we remake the same movie? Eleven is a good movie. Oceans 12. Oceans 13. Original Oceans or the oceans 11 is a remake of a previous ocean. I'm aware of the Brad Pack or the rat pack. Brad Pack. The whole thing. Yeah, sure. But it's just still good. I'm not talking. Tom, are you oceans guy? As I just said 30 seconds ago, before I got trampled, I've never seen a notions movie. Off to a good start. I take it on the wood you're out there today. I'm not a real. Yeah, I mean, that's the most jarring development of the day. The Tom's never had cereal. And never will. Do you think I didn't get the a nickel? Yeah, I know you would. I just throw it out there. And basically, Twix is the one with the coconut. By the way, I left out that part of the story. So when I went into the refrigerator the other day, chose the Reese's. I had two also packs. Twix.
Twix are fair. Bypass the Twix. Twix. You know, maybe decide by the way, because I'm fanatical about this. The expiration date was near on the Reese's. So I really. Let me get that out of the way. Get it out of the way. One of the boys here here. There are not many worse feelings as a fat man. When you go into a store, you purchase a candy bar. You don't open it immediately. You get to your car. You open it up. And there's some white on the outside. Because it's been there forever. Oh, what are you doing that point? You can't eat it. It's not the problem is you're not eating it. It's a candy bar. Then it's decision time. Am I literally turning around now? Return job. I'm going back. And more often than not, if I do that, I try and return it. The next one. Wider. Oh, even worse. Even worse. Yes. It is. And then are you asked to somebody back at this point? No, at this point, a candy bar is like $1.79 for a regular size. And the big size, like the king. Oh, yeah. The big cup Reese's, which I love.
The big cup Reese's. Those are like $4. Let me ask you a question with the Reese's. Because I think it's well established. We'd love the Reese's. Right? Love it. I've never had a Reese's. Tom is like a communist. That's why he hasn't tried anything good. So the Reese's now they sell the peanut butter in the jar. Like you could like, have you ever had that? Did you ever purchase the Reese's peanut butter in the jar? No, I'm very, very, very dedicated. Jeff peanut butter. It's not that I wouldn't try it. My family was always a Jeff family. I was always anti-skippy. See, we do. I think we have Skippy. That's the blue, right? The light blue. Yeah. So we're Skippy. She just buys whatever I go along with it. Is Peter Pan peanut butter still thing? That's what I had growing up. I don't know if Peter Pan's remember that the commercials for that guy from perfect strangers. Not bulky cousin Larry cousin Larry. So he was he was double dip in. He had the perfect strangers money and he had the Peter Pan money. You think those residuals put a few kids through college? Mark Flynn Boyle Mark Lynn Baker Mark.
Dash Lynn Baker L.I.N.N. Yes. Yes. Yes. Mark Lynn Baker. I remember as opposed to Lara Flynn Boyle. They they they parodied Mark Lynn Baker once. Back when SNL was funny. This was back in the day. I've stopped there a time. Not compared to what it was. Okay. But one of the game shows with celebrities and the celebrity one of the guests was Mark Lynn Baker and it was like Mike Myers who were like the curly wig or whatever. He didn't actually have a speaking part in the entire skip. But he was just like you know like whatever. Anyway. Yeah. Then you're right. That's your rather. Yeah. No. We just talked for five minutes about Reese's which by the way for the record I've had before and I am pro Skippy by the way in the family. Thank you. Yeah. Well, that's that's a lot about you. Yeah. Well a lot of people been saying negative things about me today. But that's okay. Go ahead. All right. So Daniel you weren't here for this yesterday. But I'm going to ask this anyway in honor of one of the great Richard Manhattan's phone calls yesterday. I'm going to ask you guys this question.
Would you rather have John Horbontown or Peter Lonzo in town? Richard actually asked this question. Uh that was not a terrible question. If you were to mayor a Baltimore. Would you trade right now? Peter Lonzo for John Horboh. And can I for the record say that is exactly how the start of the phone call went to? Yeah. Enough. It just says. He always starts Richard and Manhattan and they get to immediately into his point. And that's exactly what he said. The I'll answer it this way. I'll give you two answers. If I was Baltimore, I'd rather have Peter Lonzo right now because the Harbour thing in Baltimore. I did think ran its course after almost 20 years. New York, the answer would be John Harbour because I think you're seeing the return on Sunday night and what this thing is going to blossom into. I personally would still rather have John Harbour. And I know that it kind of ran its course. The question I would ask about Pete is Pete going to push them over the top here at some point. He's going to be part of a building I think a pretty good product.
I think Harbour makes more of a difference. But then again, I don't know what Jesse Mitter is as a coach yet. So I'd still probably take Harbour. Well, I'll tell you I know it was against the Chromie Colts, but I'll tell you who also had maybe even a better day was Declan Doyle. They're their first year of offensive coordinator. He was very, very good. Lamar look sharp. Derek Henry running over. I miss the children. What do you know? The Baltimore receivers are getting hurt again. That's all they do is get hurt. That's the thing. And I also got to hope that Lamar could stay healthy too, which is going to completely nullify everything that they try to do. Next. So I'm going to start trying to spice these questions up a little bit because as Chris said last week, they're a little lackluster. So I'm just going to ask you. Did I call them lackluster or bland? You call them lackluster. Okay. So would you rather give a body part to Aaron Judd so we can remain healthy and make people happy? Many people happy, including myself. Or would you rather keep the body part and live with the guilt known you could have helped? Wow, that's a great quick. What if you're not a Yankee fan though? Well, then I mean, I think it's easier. We're going
to operate under that. We'll go hamstring. What's that? We're going to go under this assumption that it's a hamstring. Let's go calf. I think that's what people are all going to do. I'm not giving up my calves because my calves are spectacular. Okay. But what people would pay to have my calf. Strong calf guy. But here's the thing. What if Mr. Mrs. Yankee doctor told you right now, Chris, Dan, you're the only person on this planet that can help Aaron Judd right now. He might be off with an autographed bat. I can tell you. Yeah, that ain't going to do anything for me. You're two front row tickets. Like, what good is that going to do? This is cash. This is this is a check. Yeah. This is a check or small bills. One or the other. Yeah. Suit case. Would I, if I was a Yankee fan, would I do that? If I had to give him a hamstring, I would. If I had to give him a calf, as I said, my calves are my best feature. And there's not much to work with over here. What if the price is going to be extremely, extremely exorbitant in your favor? He had the injury with the rib
earlier this year. What if they actually give up a rib? Like it's like it's the rassic outlet. They take out the rib. You wouldn't even know what's gone. You wouldn't even know it's probably a little bit more invasive, obviously. I'd give him a rib. Give him a rib. Yeah. What kind of price are we talking here? For the rib. Like rib worth. What is it? Tom, does it say there's like a price guide like not carfax? Like rib facts? Yeah. Let me pull up the black market on the ESPN corporate computer and find out what a rib is going for. If you googled that on a company computer, like how much would a rib cost? Do you think that would send up flags to HR? Something like that? I can tell you because we've run into this issue before with people searching things up. Yes. Okay. Not black market related, but other things have gotten black before. I think higher. So you're thinking in terms of you have to cut me open. 15 grand, though. Think about. 15 grand disappears before you can know what's there. We need to. I would almost double that. Yeah, but you can go to a rib. Yeah, but you can go to a next playoff game with that kind of money.
By the way, next having some issues when it comes to the ticket sales where there were some glitches that maybe were raising the prices a little bit for opening night. So buyer beware. They seriously they had to suspend ticket sales because something was like causing it to go haywire and it was marking up the face value prices for opening night more than there should have been. Yeah. Would you give up? Would you give up some sort of body part to save Aaron Joe? No, because I'm not a Yankee fan. I don't care if the Yankees go 0 and 162. But if let's say if it was you know, like a team I rooted for. No. So the 19. You know what? Here's what I would do time. Yeah. I would give him my rib. You know why? Why? I do goes up there. It's home run. That's my rib. That's me. You're welcome. Is he giving you a shout out though? Like if you don't need him too. I can point to that. You're gonna tell me like if I was single, that's not gonna. If you're like in a living, you know, Aaron judge. He's got my rib. Maybe like you're in the sweet invite you to the game while you're in one of those like hospital bed things with an IV. Like you had to be there and he
like gives you the point. Like it's some movie. And then he's at there with like the blanket up to you like this. It would be good enough for me to know that I I had given him my rib. And if I could sell that to women well enough. Yeah. Aaron judge got my rib. Where's that getting you? I can try to make it work. How is that gonna impress a woman though? Like you know Aaron Joe. Don't need to go. I'm just saying. There are fans out there who are women. Yeah. But what if you give something like you think people that are kidney donors go out there and be like, oh, you know, there's always always like functioning because of my kidney. I have a friend who donated a kidney to somebody else. But does that like does it for she does nothing but pound her chest? Yeah, but like I don't think it necessarily has a lot because I gave my kidney. But you don't want to be around them anymore because they donated a kidney. No, she doesn't. You know, I was like, no, no, she doesn't do. But she she did donate her kidney to help somebody else who needed a kidney. Now, is that a pay donation? No, nothing. No. But she did it out of the goodness of her heart. People are so generous man. That was something. You think you could do that? I could. Like just for nothing.
I could. I could. I would. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I think so. Anyway, next. All right. Well, I had more questions, but I'm gonna. We're out of time. No, I'm gonna pick the two best that we can go through right now. Would you rather take life advice from Cam Skataboo? Or would you rather take life advice from Aaron Glenn? Big ships turn slow. I think it's a no brainer. Yeah, Aaron Glenn. Aaron Glenn. He's got some worldly wisdom. He's been on this planet probably twice as long as Skataboo for one. You don't think Cam Skataboo's got any good words of advice for him? No, but I didn't. I don't think Cam Skataboo's got much for me. But you know what he is now? Do you see he's in like perspective like a pet food commercial now? He is. He's in state farm of all things. The pet food farmers dog. So you jumping over dogs. No, it flips. But the guys, you know, he's for guy who played eight games last year. No, he's cashin' in. He's cashin' in. He better since that career is not gonna last four years. I mean, with all the hits he's gonna take. Somebody was sending me jokes about
like, you know, Cam Skataboo in 2030 remembering his NFL career and it was the video of like Mitch McConnell in the car. On that note, we've got one more for you. And this is a call back to. Yeah, this is a call back to the other day. Would you rather eat an olive garden, go on the record saying you've enjoyed your meal or would you rather streak through the entirety of Times Square? Eat an olive garden and say on your way out, I'd almost have to say it on a speaker. Really enjoyed my meal. Yeah. Or for the three times square. Or what about the olive garden in Times Square? Is that one still there? You know, I have to eat it at the olive garden in Times Square. You could if you want to. It's a nice olive garden. I've been there. I still think I'd probably rather go olive garden. I would too. No. And really, I'd be doing it for everybody else. I was just me. You know, it is time I'd go heavy on the breadsticks. I don't know if I would necessarily dive into the menu much because I'd stick with the spaghetti. I don't know if I'd go red sauce and beef orino.

I'm not so sure. I'm rolling with the tigers for this one. Sam Levitt. I almost want him to make his picks and then narrate the whole thing. Yes. Like right above it. You have to. It can't just be like, I'll take LSU plus the points. No, you have to give me a story. Yes. I would love to see like, shallime a couple of years ago breaking into it. Like Joe Fortenbach. Yeah, exactly. You know, last four times they have not covered against the spread. ATS on Saturday. Yes. You know, the only thing that shallime left out that day was the dissertation on Applejack. See, Fortenbach, he would, and I understand like it was all because of his kids and he was saying, but like he is like the last person in the world that would strike me as an Applejack's guy. No, he's, yeah, I could see that. I could. I could. Man, what are the bathroom on planes? He's not a guy I'm expecting to be destroying Applejack's. Giants this week. Big blue talk brought to you by King's Hawaiian. As we prepare for the giants
and the Rams on Monday night, I just, I have this sense that people as optimistic as they are are looking at this game and borderline is expecting them to win now. And this is the danger of what happens. If I asked you, if you, what section? What percentage of giant fans after what happened the other day? No miles Garrett. First game back for Aaron Donald. What percentage of giant fans with the Rams coming back from Australia are expecting the Giants to win. I think it's 50, 50 for them. Yeah. And because I staggering. Because here's the thing. I'm a big proponent of. And this is just maybe my neuroses from like a fan standpoint, especially with football when you play once a week that if I'm playing the team, that's a good team that's coming off of us. Stinker. I always just operate under. They're not losing two in a row or they're not playing that bad two in a row. They might play good and you still
beat them, which would be the ideal scenario, but I just always me. I'm like, no, they're they're too good to lose again at home. No less, right? Yeah. No, it's fair. Big blue report brought to you by King's Hawaiian King's Hawaiian best slider and football. Pete and Staten Island. Pete, what's going on? Yeah. Pedro. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. All right. I'm here. Yeah. It's a Pete. All right. So first, how are you guys? The first things first, Colin. Little bit. All right. Yeah. Giant jets. Who's got more wins? I'm going to go with Giants. I know you like the jets. I lose. Manoranos. I bring it to the office. How do you do that? It's a lot of cousins boating. Well, I fly to Florida five times a week. We'll go to an hotel right down the block from him. I'll be there by what do you get on a Wednesday when you guys have your meetings? What do I have to give you if you
know what do you think? I come to the office. I'm not going to lose anyway, so I'm really not concerned. Oh, really? Okay. They're tough guys. Yeah. You know what? You're on. You can come in a lot of things. I tell you what, you can come in and hang out and I will buy you lunch after the show. How about that? Okay. First one. I met you. I met you at the beach bash. I don't know if you remember me. He was the guy who gave me only got it. Looks exactly like I I look on the phone. Pete from Staten Island. I go. I know. I know. I know. It's somebody with just a point to him. And I would not know who you were, but I would say that's Pete from Staten Island. I got to do it in one of the ones. All right. So I won't tell you the person. One of your colleagues. I called so my roommates, the bench coach for the Cubs, thank God, Breckman end up signing there. I told why not sign Breckman and Alonzo four years, maybe five years with an option. Think about
that for a minute. It's two million dollars more. I understand it's more years, but you end up giving one guy to one million, the other guy 42 million. And now if you had those two guys with the young pitching, you need one ace and they were a playoff team. If they, I mean, make the probably get scruple, give them crazy money. And that keeps a playoff team. Now you still have a first or third basement. I mean, I just don't get it. And they abuse me. Oh, that's crazy. Why would you want to do that? No, I don't abuse you on it. I just think it's terribly realistic. Real quick, the important thing just to set people straight before we say goodbye. We totally overestimated the price of human ribs. We had our expert staff check it there on the break. You could get a rib for as low as 15 bucks, apparently, in certain circles. But again, where are you getting that rib? I'm not in the swamps of Florida. Low calcium, probably, with those ribs. I could say, hey, I'm here to get a rib. But he said, all right, hang on. We pull out
of Swiss army knife, we cut our deans with for lunch and turn to his friend Al and cut him open. That'll be 15. Well, Al needs to use better discretion than the simple example.
