Jack Hughes scored the overtime goal that clinched gold for Team USA in men's hockey at the Milan Cortina, 2026 Winter Olympics. His shot at one minute 41 seconds beat Canada 2-1, marking America's first men's Olympic hockey goal since the Miracle on Ice-N, 1980. Now that puck sits on display at the hockey hall of fame in Toronto. The hall put it up starting March 16th, right alongside the overtime puck from Megan Keller's women's team gold medal win. The exhibit also features items like a jersey from Hillary Knight and a stick from Brady Tickachuk. Hughes spoke out to ESPN, saying he wants his puck back and doesn't think the hall should keep it. He mentioned he'd give it to his dad, a huge collector of memorabilia for him and his brothers. A spokesperson for the International Ice-Hockey Federation explained the puck was set aside right away for long-term preservation at the hall to honor its history.
