Hurricanes Return to Finland, Aho's Homecoming

I'm Corey with the story. The Carolina Hurricanes are heading back to Finland for the 2026 NHL Global

Series. They'll face the Seattle Kraken in a two-game set on November 12th and 14th,

at Vicaus Arena in Helsinki. It's the team's second trip there, following their games

against the Minnesota Wild back in 2010. This visit hits close to home for Hurricanes Captain

Sebastian Aho. As a 13-year-old kid, he watched those earlier games live.

Now, he'll finally play in his native Finland as an NHL star,

joining teammate Jisperi Kakanami against a Kraken squad featuring Finnish players.

Like Kaya Pokako, Eeli Talvenon, and Johnny Nyman. Players are buzzing with excitement,

especially the fans who get to perform for friends and family who rarely make the trip overseas.

Aho called it a full-circle moment. Stacking up memories just like coach Rob Brindemore always

preaches. Coming off of Bronze Meadow at the 2026 Winter Olympics and Milano Cortina,
