This week, Steve and DJ recorded live from DJ's new theater space and kicked things off with an update on the build, including the final push to satisfy the new building inspector and get everything ready for permits. From there, they jumped into a fun conversation about our anticipation for The Odyssey in 70mm IMAX, weighing early reactions and debating what really qualifies as a great historical epic. Along the way, they tossed around favorites like Gladiator, Braveheart, Ben-Hur, Lawrence of Arabia, and even Oppenheimer, trying to define whether “historical epic” is about scale, subject matter, accuracy, or simply unforgettable impact.

The guys then dug into several home theater-worthy movie discussions, including reactions to Evil Dead Burn, a revisit of The Patriot as a reference-quality disc, and this week’s installment of Mummy Movie Madness with 1999’s The Mummy.
