Let's get going on today's podcast topics on the table for today's podcast. Let's go immigration, Epstein files, Lindsey Clancy. Go, Dave. I'll tell you the only person that hasn't followed the Clancy thing. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. It is too sad. I everyone's got to, that these like everyone's got such a strong thought of what happened. And unless I'm going to sit there and watch every single minute of it, I don't know. You know? No. Yeah, I didn't watch it. I've seen the clips. I know what the basis of it is, but it's just like anything, especially when it comes to political discussions with people. It's almost like you can't discuss this because somebody will pick apart everything you

9:11say. And I don't need to hear it. Like, I've got my thoughts. I don't need to share it publicly. I know a lot of other people do. And they like sharing it publicly. And you know, you know, with, you know, we probably both have a large female audience just covering entertainment news. And the only thing I can know for certain is that women in our society aren't supported enough after having a baby. So postpartum psychosis, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety are all like real things that happen because it's like we're fried as a society. And it's like a very, it's a very big traumatic event having a baby. I'm not mansplaining it, but from the husband, from the father side, like it's like the whole, we're supposed to live in a community where everyone comes together and like helps out. And we're all like kind of bootstrapped on our own. And how many people are suffering through anxiety, postpartum psychosis or one of these issues and not getting the help that they need.

10:13Again, doesn't even have to apply to the Clancy story, but I'm all for living in a world where we kind of go back to like really nurturing during those very difficult times. That's all. Yeah, I think the biggest thing that I will say about this case and not even going into details is I think people lose sight of the fact that two things can be true at the same time when it comes to this case. I'll just leave it at that. So hold on a second. Okay, sorry, we had a little bit of a video issue there. We're good to go. Now let's talk about Laura Owens. So who's this lady's pick up? So I was out there in Arizona for the settlement conference and felt like a real like veteran reporter calling you into your show from the courthouse steps outside after the thing came down. But your thoughts, I know you shared it on your podcast, but shared here, were you just

11:15a surprise is everybody else that this woman pled guilty to four charges? Were you hearing any rumblings that morning? Like what were you? And then when you finally got the news, were you like holy crap? Like I can't believe this. You know, I've always I've never had a hot take where like I know what she's going to do. She's never been in a scenario like this where she's being held accountable for her actions. She's always going to be able to slime her way out of it. So I really didn't know what was going to happen. I was neither surprised nor like I wouldn't have been surprised if she didn't take the plea. I've seen a scenario where she went in that direction as well. I'm going to have a I think what's going to be interesting now is if she stands by her plea because she's not one to kind of commit to things. Yeah, I mean, the plea is interesting because talking to Woodenick afterwards, I was like, but can she basically pull a co burger?

12:16Which is I know what Rachel Juarez has brought it up to me and on other podcasts. She thinks that Rachel that Laura is going to pull a co burger and later on down the line, just say, even though during that sentencing, the judge specifically asked her, were you coerced in deciding this plea? No, were you manipulative? Were you promised anything in return for signing this plea? No, no, you're honest. She answered those questions, but it doesn't mean she can't change it like co burger data a year later. I guess it's possible. I think if she does, it's just going to be all like, this is a woman that has wanted things to go away seemingly and hates everything that is negative that said about her, hates the love trapped podcast, hates the JFC constantly talking about her life, but you talk about her life because she puts it out there for us. If she really wants to go away, making excuses and changing your plea is not going to make this go away. Yeah, she's out.

13:17She's played this so wrong. She could have participated in the love trap documentary. She could have had her own parallel podcast that she released to give her update. She could have done so many things differently, but standing by her lies and then at the very end, admits that it was all a lie. It's like she literally, if she just at any point admitted guilt and then explained why maybe her mom's a psycho, her sister's hot and she's jealous. Whatever, I fell off a horse. I had a traumatic brain injury. There's litter. And by the way, I was I was talking to Meg, Meg Fox and umbrella guy about this and in God bless them. This isn't, you know, shit talking. I appreciate people with different points of views. But umbrella guy was saying, well, sometimes people just do bad things and there isn't always like let at the end of the tunnel. And I understand that. But at the same time, I'm the personality type that likes to wonder what happened to Laura

14:19to make her this way. Was she born this way or was it a combination of her mom making her a manhater and then also whatever trauma comes from living at home? And you know, I don't, I don't, none of us know, but it's a far more interesting story for me to try to peer into her brain than to just assume she's a born monster. You know, it's amazing and all this. And I don't know if this is the right phrase, but Laura has a lot of power right now because of everything that you have covered and I have covered, Megan Fox, Omar, everybody that's covered this case. And through the Love Trap podcast, nobody has ever really heard this woman speak about this case. We've seen her go on Jingress YouTube, but she kind of just sat there while Jingress talk most of the time. And then we've seen her in court, not really, same as we saw at the trial, but I'm talking about in a free form like podcast setting like this where she openly talks about it or,

15:22you know, some sort of documentary setting where she actually can tell her story. Now if she sits there and makes a bunch of excuses, again, people are just going to be like, great, she still isn't taking any accountability for what she did. But just the fact that so many people as much as we dislike this woman are literally would be enthralled by the fact of her actually sitting down and doing a podcast or a one on one interview, we'd all watch and yet nothing from her for three years. So, you know, you know how like you cover Bachelors and even the villains, you can kind of, you can kind of like root them on and away. You kind of like the more you cover someone, even if it's a bad person, there still becomes a sort of relationship there. I actually don't have an issue with Laura. She didn't like she tried to raise hell and she tried to do a lot of damage to my credibility and others, but I see past that and I just feel pity for her. Well, pity is probably the lowest form you can feel for anybody. I've probably have more anger towards Laura's mother than towards Laura because I see Laura

16:27as someone who was most likely abused by her parents in one way or another to lead her to be the person that she is. I almost rather believe that she's a victim than to think she just doesn't have an origin story. I could be wrong, but that's, but you know, with with Laura, you know, if a, if a documentary was ever made, yeah, her price tag is pretty high because she's never given away her real side of the story. With that said, if she were to make, say, $50,000 by doing a podcast, Clayton Eckerd can get that money. Like, that's his money. Like she owes him $100 plus $1000. And the only reason she isn't paying is because she has no bills coming in. So I don't really see her having much of an opportunity to profit until she's paid the legal bill that she's, you know, forced to pay. Now the interesting thing is come October 28th, the sentencing is going to happen in Arizona. You're going to be there.

17:28I'm going to be there. I'm guessing most of every content creator who's been covering this is going to go out for it, including probably a lot of JFC people that have been following this case for however long, whether it's a year or two or three years, a lot of people are going to be out there. And look, there's a lot of debate. We really don't know. I have no idea about this judge. His history, you know, there is this whole thing of first time offender. Nobody died. She didn't kill anyone that will work in her favor, but there does need to be at least in a lot of people's eyes, some punishment here. I guess the question would be, what is you, what are you hoping for her sentences versus what do you think she'll get? Well, I think I would always prefer a sentence that involves mental health help because I don't know if the prison system can just quite frankly handle what what her issues are. With that said, I don't see it as a bad thing if she goes to jail for a year or two. I see it as I think she needs to spend enough time away from her parents to have clarity

18:32and start thinking for herself. And then she might realize that she in fact was part of such a damaged home. So do I think she'll get a year or two? I don't think I'd be shocked if she spends more than six months behind bars. Maybe maybe they give her two years and she gets out early. I honestly don't know. Yeah, this is it is a tough one and in speaking with in Clayton and Woodenick, they, they really don't know either. I mean, it's just one of these things where you just will know on October 28th, I mean, it's all speculation up until that point, you know, and I don't think she fits into a, a first time offender mold. Megan Foxx actually looked into the, into the judge here and saw that the judge did, did order somebody who was a also a first time offender to do one or two years in jail. So Laura's not like, oh, I, you know, we had a panic attack in Rob to bank. Whoops. It's like the premeditated years long abuse of multiple systems has to be looked at by this judge

19:37and go, this is a menace to society. But again, like I still, I still, she's still young. She could be alive for she's not, you know what I mean? Like she can still contribute to society in one way or another. If she figures out the meds and therapy that she needs, it's just not going to come living in the back house of her parents, like be a big girl, get a real job, you know, when this is all said and done and stop trying to be like some pinky in the brain episode where you just try to cannot like contrive how you're going to make it. Like just, you know, you, you and I have spent years, you know, putting our own businesses and brands together. It's like life doesn't just come easy, you know, like go work hard. Yeah. And I'm just curious. I was thinking about it like what? What's this is all over? Whatever her sentence is six months a year, whatever. What kind of work would she do? Like I don't, I don't know her interest outside of horse jumping.

20:38And that's where I have always, you know, like go, you know, you could literally work at a equestrian therapy. There's so many places, you know, if honestly like, I've always like said barista, not not to slight baristas, but some job where you're, you're, you're, you're just like existing in a community, like just like so bagging groceries at all these wouldn't be the end of the world. Like have, have somewhere you need to be. What it, what I've seen is like, I know as a, like, um, as sort of an anxious attached person, I know what happens when I don't have a job when I'm sitting on my ass. I know the, how dark in the depths of the brain and like how much we self sabotage as humans. And I, I can never relate to Laura and what she's feeling. But part of like life, and I know a lot of people have an issue with this because we all want to pretend like we're better than somebody else. But like the truth is, given the right or wrong scenario, we could all fall

21:42on hard times and it's like stagnant water breeds diseases. So you just have to like stay busy. She already, like shows she can do that with Barry's bootcamp. She shows blueprint for, for like recovery, but it ain't can involve Jan, like Tweedle D and Tweedle dumb. And it ain't can involve her sister. It's like, get the fuck out of Arizona. Get away from your family and just go be busy somewhere. When the settlement hearing or the sentencing happens on October 28th, is this going to be another deal where you are going to do a live feed? You're going to get, you're going to rent the van again. Are we all going to be camped out under a tent with some pasta primavera being fed to us on the side? Like, are you doing that or you just want to go to it? And don't send me with a good time. And by the way, I think it's October 23rd. I could be wrong. I said, have I been saying the 28th? Yeah. You might have. Yeah. But I think it's right. It is right. It is right. The 23rd. Yeah. You know what's funny is I was actually supposed to be in Chattanooga that weekend

22:46doing standup shows featuring from my buddy Jay Hollingsworth at the comedy catching Chattanooga. And I had already had to cancel on them. And I was like, I was like, honestly, canceling on a standup gave is the worst because it's like the thing I love the most. And I emailed the lady Danielle and I was like, listen, I have to cancel. I'm so sorry. I'm like, I'm like a witness for the state of Arizona. And the hearing is this that I have to be there. And she was like, she responded going, oh my gosh, I was literally listening to love trapped when you emailed me. And I was so relieved that she at least understands this trial. And I'm not just like pulling it out of my ass. With that said, I think I'm almost certain I'm going to be a headlining a standup show. I don't have the exact date or time, but it'll be in Phoenix. Aside from that, I'm just down to do whatever. I want to be a part of the community. So like whether, you know, I'm sure we should like definitely try to organize something or another, but I don't, I won't have a van.

23:47I think I'll probably try to be in the courtroom. I think I haven't really been in the courtroom yet. So I think that's kind of going to be the ankle. But if it's one of those like, you got to get up at 5 a.m. to wait and I'm like, now if I'm not going to, if that's the case, maybe I will just pull the van up. We'll have to see. Well, see, that's the thing that I'm kind of worried about. I don't know what's happened to my sound here. Sounds like it's peaking, but I'm not even anyway. The one thing that I'm worried about for that particular trip is exactly what you said. Because if it's in the same courtroom that the settlement conference was in. I want to say there were five rows and maybe six seats in each row. Maybe there was eight. I mean, there wasn't more than a hundred seats in that thing. So clearly, I think there's going to be way more people than that that are showing up for sentencing. So the second part would be will they open up an overflow room like they did at the trial? If they're doing that, then I'm fine with that. I don't necessarily have to be in the main room.

24:49But if I'm there that day and I'm watching live, the sentencing happening, I'm fine with that. But from everything that I am hearing, there are no media passes for this thing. This is literally first come first serve. And yeah, it starts at 9 a.m. Thank God. It didn't get pushed to 230 because, you know, I have no idea how many people are going to be like, I want to get up early and make sure I got a seat in that thing. You know, we should probably, maybe we could get some reality Steve fans to do some seat, a seat waiting for us. And then and then just ask for cutseys. Hey, can we get that? Yeah, you can hire people for that. Well, well, well, well, just maybe there's some, well, I'll give him a coosie or something, just like show up at 4 a.m.s. It won't get you some nice chairs. I got a kid. I can't be waiting outside. I can't, you know, my wife's going to be like, what the hell is wrong with you? What do we, it'll definitely be interesting because I mean, Laura, she's going to have her chance. I believe I could be wrong, but she's going to have her chance to speak.

25:50And if your lawyer allows her to, because Woodenick said, sometimes lawyers allow their clients to speak, sometimes they don't. He might speak for her or we will hear from her for the first time. Well, I mean, but in the end, she's, she calls all the shots, right? I mean, like he's her lawyer, right? Yeah. I mean, she could say I want to, but he might advise against it. Yeah, and again, can I, can you see her coming off with the contrition and it'll be hard. I mean, it'll be hard. That, that would be more shocking is if she really went up there and spilled it and just said, you know what? You're right. You're right. I made this all up. I am such a, I am, I am such a, I am such a wounded person. And I do need help and I'm begging for it. Lock me up. Put me away. I want to get help, you know, whatever. And then maybe that would work, but I just don't see that happening. Yeah. That could be the start of the Laura Owens reconciliation tour, where in her speech, she says, at the time I was doing this, this was going on in my life,

26:54but that's not to make an excuse for what I did. I realized now how many lives I impacted, how much stress and pain I caused on families, on children, and I am so sorry for what I did. Like that is her best bet. But like you said, like I've said, Rachel Juarez, she just doesn't think that that's the Laura Owens we're going to get. I want to hear. And here's, here's what is more, more likely the scenario. She's kind of caught right handed. She's admitting to Greg and Clayton, right? So more likely she's going to continue to throw a mic under the bus and say, because of what Mike did to me, these are the ways I reacted. I'm the one who suffered as a victim from this abuse. And again, it's all bullshit, but it's more likely that she's going to find a new way to live in the corner of victimhood that she has existed in since we've covered her. And I don't know if I want her to be contrite.

27:56It's just we have no reason to believe based on every single medium blog she put out after she got a ruling against her. It was always the judge did this or system is working against me. It's not fair. Yeah, it is kind of hard to see that on October 23rd, she's going to get up there and just be Mrs. I am so sorry for what I did. I realize now back then I didn't, but now I do as time has passed and I've had time to think about it. I can't see it. But if this is the day of her sentencing and that is her speech or she doesn't say that, how can the judge not put her away for some time? Because she's not contrite and doesn't feel sorry for what she did, you know? Yeah. And that's and it's like having the space and distance from your crimes is important. So like I do stand up at this at this rehab facility where people fly in. It's in the middle of nowhere outside a Nashville and it's like a college campus

28:57and they let people come in for this for entertainment after a few weeks of being sober. And I've had family go to rehab and a lot of times depending on what you're rehabbing. The first day or two, they don't even let you interact with people. It's just about getting sober and getting clean on that like short term level. And then the work can begin. I'm not saying Laura's on drugs, but she's in a scenario in this little Petri dish that is part of what has made her like toxicity rage on. And that's why I think if you put her in prison, yeah, the first week or two, she's going to be white knuckling it upset scared. And then one day she's going to talk to someone else about their issues. And there's just so much good can come from getting out of scenario. That's why a lot of times with with like people that are on drugs, they get like released back to the system that started the mess and triggers that that eat, you know, that side of them.

29:57And I know there'll be people. I don't read the comments anymore, but there'll be people that say, no, there's no rehabbing her. You know, maybe that's the case, but there's also a scenario where they kind of tweak her. I think there was someone someone mentioned one time. Maybe it was maybe it was Jan mentioned in court documents that they like messed up Laura's medicine, like figure out what's wrong with her and then help get her healthy. Like that's the way that prison should rehab people. It can also harden you. And it could just be something where she serves a year comes out and and and and like doubles down on the story of how like she's a victim of a system that prosecuted, you know, whatever. But we won't know. We won't know for a while. I don't think speaking of Jan, have you, did you follow and cover and listen to the bankruptcy hearing? Yeah. And it's it's kind of one of the reasons why I see her as possibly the more evil person. She's the fully formed adult who who again, I've got, I've seen,

31:02I've seen evidence that has never been shared of Jan lying to police in in other circumstances. Straight to their face. I've seen the evidence like certifiably lying to the police. And while also throwing other people under the bus and she's she's pretty conniving. I mean, because she comes at it as some like she talks a good game and for the for the bankruptcy folks to like really put her in her place was so fascinating because they didn't give her an inch to bullshit. No. And the best part about listening to that was and it was not the best part. But something that I noticed is man, when Jan was up there and they were coming at her hard. And she was stumbling and bumbling and didn't really know how to answer certain questions. Man, it was almost like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because it sounded like an adult version of Laura trying to answer questions where she doesn't know how many times did that

32:07lawyer have to say to her Mrs. Black. This is a yes or no answer and just just trying to justify everything. And it's just like this is exactly how law I mean, they even sound alike. They're speech cadence when talking and being stressed and under a lot of scrutiny sounded the same to me. It was fascinating to listen to that. So it's like, yeah, you know, because if Laura was a child, you would call CPS on her. If Laura was living in the filth that she's living in as a child, you would say this is inhumane and we would all feel terrible for her because we understand the like purity of children and the fact that yeah, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in your just a product of the tools you were taught or not taught. And I mean, I look at that as a dad, right? I look at my two year old and they look at man, how do I raise him to exist in a world where when I'm not around, he has the tools to survive and not tools to cut others down. And all of the moral questions you ask as a parent and you just see this giant failure by Jan.

33:12Maybe Ron was absentee and he just threw money at these problems to make them happy. Maybe Ron was cheating. So Jan hated him and now, but Jan in the background of the video Clayton said, he said joke, honey. He said joke. It's like you want you like if I if I'm looking at energy as a color, I just feel this black orb around Jan. You see her in the body cam footage. You see her wanting to talk to the detectives until she finds out she's being recorded and it is like, again, it doesn't it doesn't take Laura off the hook. She isn't a dealt, but it's almost like a lot of times, they always say when you get famous, you you you sort of like your maturity level ends at the age you were famous. And because that's when like society stops, like that's when you stop evolving and you just like can get away with being famous. And I wonder if being a rich of rich person, like an influential person's kid is the same, where Laura learned the tools to get to get by manipulating based on her father's name.

34:14And I just wonder like, I don't know if you can rewrite that, but I think if Laura lived in a world where you couldn't Google her and know who she was, and she just existed and shut up for work and joined a kickball league, I think there's a world where she could try to restore. But again, that's that's a that's a very optimistic way to look at life. But what am I supposed what are you supposed to do? Say, oh, no, that's a monster. Okay, go on, I guess a little fuck myself then. Like, like sure, sure. Yeah, she's done horrible things. I'm just I still rude on a scenario where this is the first time she's been held accountable. And now we can see what's what's that truth like moving forward. You know, I almost have to applaud her lawyer, Christian Looters, in all this because he's seemingly the only person in three years that was able to convince Laura through all the lawyers that she's had, the all the lawyers that she's run through in three years, she runs through more lawyers than I run through underwear to actually have a lawyer

35:18convinced her take some accountability for what you did. You got to plead guilty to this probably because he's like, look, they got way too much against you. The state is going to fry you if you don't agree to some sort of plea deal. And he did like no other lawyer was able to convince her to do that. And speaking of lawyers, I want to end with this. He's had obviously a lot go on in his life recently with the death of his wife. But it is interesting to me and I would love to hear what David Jingeris, the guy who came after you, who came after everybody on JFC, all he did was call everybody names, put out YouTube videos, basically mocking us for questioning how Laura could ever possibly make all this up. Dead silent as far as I know, since Laura pled guilty to four accounts of essentially making up everything when it comes to Clayton, making a pregnant, faking a pregnancy with Clayton, and faking a pregnancy with Greg the lesbian. And he hasn't said a word. And it just, it gets under my skin and it bothers me. And look, if he wants to use, obviously, I'm not

36:20excusing the fact that he's going through a lot with his wife dying. I get it. But you were at the forefront of bearing that torch and coming after people, including yourself. And to not have a word about this since Laura pled guilty, kind of chicken shit to me. Yeah, yeah, no, it totally is. It's like if you've ever argued with family over politics and then you end up being right. And then the family just goes quiet. You know, come on, I thought we were having fun. I thought we weren't, you know, and that's kind of how it is with Jingeris. It's like, don't, don't email me screen grabs of the lawyers you made homeless. And then when your own client literally loses her home, like don't, like not see the irony there. Yeah, look, like I've always said, if you, if you've like ran into Jingeris at an airport bar, you probably could have a normal conversation with them. He just seems like the type of guy that gets broken online. And I think JFC broke him. JFC broke this man's brain. He got trolled hard and you don't hit rock bottom to

37:25you stop digging. And then when it was all said and done, his only way to like excuse himself from whatever that like dopamine addiction thing is with that parasocial relationship, he had to just pull the plug. But it's like, yeah, I wouldn't mind having a convo. I don't think it's worth my time. But if I did, it would be like, all right, here are the 15 things. Like none of this like, oh, blanket apologies. Like, did you need to send the homeless shelter thing to me? Did you need to threaten the homelessness with the horses? Did you need to threaten the $100 million? Definitely. Which one? I would like a line item apology for each one of those. And then calling the cops on Mike, there could have been things that he did could have ended in a much darker way. And I think he's lucky that this community understood his game and didn't feed it and kind of stuck to the truth of it all. And just kind of like didn't give him an inch.

38:27Yeah, I mean, it's just it's just funny to look back on now because everything that me and you and the JFC community were saying to him all the time, basically updating him on his own case, things that he didn't bother to read or care about. No, I took over in April of 2024. I only cared about from that moment forward. It's like, okay, jingris, you just and we ended up on, we ended up being right. Like we all knew the only thing that he stood by was if you can, if you can prove to me she's lying, I'll drop the case. And it's like clearly, it's like, now what? Yeah, now we just want to know now that she's admitted to it. What say you now? Like these are like, yeah, these are honest, like repercussion things that that people want. And they're not, and they're probably not going to get. But I'll say this if jingris is listening, I think he'd be good on YouTube. I think like Laura, he'd have to do a real apology tour and really a tone for his hit like what where he went wrong with all of this. But like, go cash in and make

39:28that YouTube dollar. Like everyone else, go like, I'm all about it. If people don't want to watch you, they can decide not to. But like, don't, you know, like he's kind of having this identity crisis and changing. And I think he doesn't want to practice anymore. Go, go join the log tube community. Just don't be a fucking asshole. Yeah. And that's, and that's been the biggest problem to them. It's just he's just such a dick online. And like I said, I've had private conversations with him. And he can be a dick as well. But he comes across way better when he's not online trying to basically perform for people on YouTube like you did.
