About this episode
In 1980, a mysterious granite monument was erected in Elbert County, Georgia. Commissioned by an anonymous person under the pseudonym R.C. Christian, and inscribed with guidelines for rebuilding society after an apocalyptic event, it quickly became the focus of many widespread conspiracy theories. Over the years, its critics ranged from locals frustrated by the site’s notoriety to those who claimed its origins were satanic, and in 2022, the monument was destroyed in a, still, unsolved bombing.
In this episode, Jack speaks with Tyler McBrien, host of the podcast Who Blew Up the Guidestones?, to examine both the enduring mystery of the monument’s origins and the circumstances surrounding its destruction.
