Iran Is RUNNING OUT of weapons and friends, retired US Marine colonel says

0:00Well, I look at the White House as we have a Vice President, JD Vance, in the first press briefing, as we've said since the 23rd of July. It's going to be a big event this afternoon. The briefing comes. As President Trump says, the U.S. is ready for more strikes on Iran after retaliating yesterday for the regime's attacks on commercial shipping and American forces in the Middle East. Take it out of the ship, say, can't see it because they have no radar because we blew it up. And we blew up much more than their radar last night. It was a very heavy attack last night. And we're prepared to do another one anytime we want. Let's bring in retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Mike Jerneg and Mike. Thanks for being with us today. Do you expect that the President is going to have to go after Iran again because they've proven time and time again they don't get the message? Hey, good afternoon, John. Yeah, that's exactly what I believe. I believe that we're seeing the effects of the economic strangulation, which are significant. And we're going to see more of that. And so in the last couple of days, St. Com reports that we've struck 107 D targets.

1:07That's pretty amazing. In comparison, the Iranians are bragging about shooting six or eight missiles at a time when in March, they were shooting thousands a day, including up to words of 300 simultaneously. So they're running out of stuff and they're running out of friends. Right. President was asked or the President asked on truth, on truth social yesterday. When do the Iranian people going to rise up and fight? Peter Ducey asked him about that in the Oval Office yesterday. Watch this exchange here. Thank you, President Trump. You posted today on truth social. When are the Iranian people going to rise up and fight? Well, if that's what you want, will you send the CIA into arm, Iranian? Well, I wouldn't want to say that to you, Peter. I'd love to tell you that, but it wouldn't be appropriate to say. But I mean, I understand they're being shot. The regime is getting weaker and weaker by the day. And at some point, they're not going to be able to shoot so easily because I think the people aren't going to take it. So there's nothing that we've heard of in terms of trying to arm the population.

2:09The flip side of that coin is as happened in the old Soviet block countries in the fall of the Iron Curtain when the military decides, makes the decision that they're not going to kill their own civilians in cold blood. That's when a change could happen. Do you foresee anything like that happening in Iran? Yeah, that's an uncertainty. And let's see what develops. But we saw it develop in Egypt. We saw it develop in Syria. We saw it develop in Libya, you know, just in the last 20 years. So when the people and to your point, when the military runs out of patients, and in some cases runs out of paychecks, they decide to switch sides. And that's what we're seeing. The Americans are paying their people, the government is paying their people a subsidy to stay compliant. However, at this morning's trading, that subsidy is about $7.27 a citizen. That doesn't buy a lot of loyalty. No. No, not when you consider that inflation is running about 100% in the value of the real, is about $2 million to $1. President Trump suggested last night that the end game with Iran might be near.

3:09Listen to what he said. Their economy is totally shot. Their economy is the worst anywhere in the world they said this morning. They have close to 300% inflation. Their money is valueless. And the times you used to say they're doing quite well. No, they're not doing well at all. And so it's just a question of time. President says it's just a question of time. The question though, Mike, is how much time? Yeah, John, that's the big thing there. He's watching from my experience as a military strategist and planner. Sometimes the economic arm is tremendously effective, but it takes time to get started and roll. Maybe eight to nine months. And that's okay. The United States, we can afford to be patient. The only people that are rushing for this to happen are Hollywood movie producers looking for stories and political parties that are not in power. But we've got plenty of time. So let's just continue to wait. There's a lot of talk that Iran is planning to massive cyber attacks. We see that over the past number of weeks, they've been trying to attack our infrastructure,

4:12water, electricity, things like that. But it may go deeper than that. What do you fear in the future that Iran might do that's of a non-kinetic nature? Hey, John, I don't fear what Iran can do in the future. I'm concerned and I'm interested as our people. But we have entire organizations, the United States government and the United States military, that defend tens of thousands of cyber attacks a day that we never hear about. And we're defending them now. And we're defending them two weeks ago when they tried to do some skated attacks into some of our water plants and some of the central reaches the United States. So the Iranians are gasping and reaching out and trying to do anything they can. They will continue to do cyber attacks. And I am confident in the U.S. military and the U.S. government's ability to defend against those attacks. So no, I'm not afraid, but I'm expectant. You know, one of the things that the president remarked about on true social was the fact that there was an article in the Washington Post about Syria now positioning itself as an overland alternative to travel through the Persian Gulf.

5:12I think Chevron's building a pipeline about a thousand miles long that would go between Basra and Iraq and Baniyas on the Mediterranean coast of Syria. I mean, obviously that's something that's going to be measured in times of years. But would you see in the future there to be sort of a broader program of getting away from all of these tankers having to transit through the Strait of Hormuz? Yeah, absolutely. And we're already seeing it with the Saudis and United Arab Emirates that are on a two-year plan to build a pipeline across their large peninsula they share to avoid the straits of Hormuz. And now Syria is getting into it. Everybody is running out of patience and has for the last 47 years with Iran that they're like, you're not a good partner. You're not a good teammate. You're not even telling us the truth about anything. So absolutely, we're going to go ahead and build our own oil pipelines across our own land. And we're going to remove any levers that you think you have about shipping because all of a sudden we're going to have alternate routes. That's huge for logistics around the world. Yep, it will for today's pop culture reference. I leave them thunder struck as ACD said.
