James Talarico's War on Capitalism

Time again flies when you're having fun. I want to talk today. I'm going to shift gears a bit. I'll give you a bit of an update where we stand with the Lindsey Clancy try.

1:05We've been talking about that. I feel like I owe that to you in a sense, my friends. Hold on just a moment here. All right. I had to make an adjustment there, but I owe an update with that. And effectively, what's going on there is the jury is asking, well, telling the judge that they cannot reach a verdict. They've done this several times now. The judge continually sends them back. They've been deliberating for what is it 28 hours or some such thing. They're supposed to resume deliberations today. We'll see what happens next. They're telling the judge they've reached an impasse. He says, that's, look, you got to go work this out. You've got to come to a conclusion. We've got to get to a verdict. That's what, of course, needs to happen here, but there's nothing that can force the jury to do this. They can ultimately become a hung jury. And that seems to be where we're headed.

2:06So we've got that. There also was a woman who's been what charged with trying to intimidate the jury. She was filming them as they were leaving the courthouse. So we've got all sorts of stuff happening there with these, with this Lindsey Clancy trial. Of course, we've got the protet or the supporters of Lindsey Clancy who again simply refused to accept the facts of the case, many of them anyway, not understanding what's going on there. I can't tell you the number of people that have said things that are just actually factually incorrect. They just don't want to accept that the defense team for Lindsey, well, the defense attorney for Lindsey Clancy has acknowledged that she killed the children. It's easier. I don't know. Again, I don't know how many true crime podcasts, these women, supporters of Lindsey Clancy

3:10listen to. I don't know. All I know is, I don't know what they've been through personally where they feel like if Lindsey Clancy is guilty, then I guess they're somehow guilty in whatever problems they had in a relationship in the past. It's just wild how people think. It is a so over emotionalized and so they're still again, deliberating on that. So we'll keep you posted on what happens there and we'll talk about the verdict when that finally comes, which can't have looked like to me, we're headed towards a hung jury. 5:12through committees. There are groups, of course, that are pushing for these things to move from, say, outlawed to regulated. If it's not available in your state, you might want to look into that because it is available in most states, just not all states. So anyway, that's all I'll say about that for now. This is what I want to talk about today. Today I want to talk about a Senate candidate in Texas. You know this guy's name is James Tallarico. He is a leftist lunatic running for the US Senate in the state of Texas. He has, according to the odds makers at CalShi, a 50% chance of winning the Senate seat in Texas. That is, it's going to be, well, it's either going to be him winning that Senate seat or Ken Paxton. That's who this race is between.

6:12I don't want to rehash all that happened with John Cornen and everything else, but that is where we're headed in this election, which is now just a couple of months away. I mean, we're looking directly into the eyes of this election, which again, this is September 3rd. We've got just two months until election day. And there's a lot at stake in this election, as there will be for a candidly the rest of your life. I've said on this program before, if you are a, if you care about your country, you are in, you're signing up for a battle for the rest of your life. And that's the way it's always been. It may not have always felt that way. It's not as though things are more important now. I think that we have simply lost some elections in the past, or maybe we've watched as our country has drifted, drifted to the left.

7:19But this has always been the case. Reagan, of course, famously said that freedom is always and only one generation away from extinction. Something that it's up to us to make sure that we pass along the, the beauty of liberty to the next generation. We have to explain what we have in this country. We have to stand up for this country as founded, the beautiful ideas that were set forth in our declaration of independence, the framing of this country's constitution, how it was set up, what led to this nation becoming what it is, which is the best nation on a planet earth, which of course is starting with the concept that we have been created by God with a certain unalienable rights. Those rights do not come from a government. If rights come from government, they can be taken away. That's not the way that this works. In fact, it can't be said to be a right.

8:20If it's something that is contingent on what a majority of people sitting in some legislature or some individual sitting in, say, the White House decides to say and think about it. These rights come from God. You are a citizen of this country, not a subject to this country's king. Our nation was founded on beautiful ideas, liberty, free markets. These things have led to prosperity. They led to innovation. They've lifted people out of poverty, not just in this country but around the world. Yes, it has led to wealth disparity. Capitalism has wealth disparity, but it's because that there are people who are very successful at it, and there are people who aren't as successful at it. If you want there to be more, what do I want to say, more commonality, I guess, in the amount of money people have, then you can turn to socialism, but you must understand

9:22that what that means is everybody has less. Everybody has less because eventually you run out of other people's money. When you start taking it, listen, I can go, you understand this. When you start telling people that what they produce belongs to everybody else, you understand human nature. You understand that the person says, well, what's the point? What's the point in me going out and working hard and starting a business if you're going to take the lion's share of what I produce? I just lose my motivation. You can criticize that person. You don't care about other people and all these sorts of things. The reality is that people who are successful at capitalism, people who have people who want to benefit from the fruits of their labor, people who understand what their goals and what they're trying to accomplish are motivated by these things to, it's not necessarily

10:25to stash money in their bank account and kick their feedback. They're building things. That's the other thing. Capitalism is a good compliment to people's, to our human nature. And our nature is to build. I've shared this on this program before. The first thing we know about God, our creator is that he's creative in the beginning God created those are the first words of the Bible in Genesis one in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And I got to say, if you look at his handiwork, it's pretty impressive, right? We were just in Montana last week. It's beautiful where we were in Montana. It's beautiful. I'll tell you what, it's beautiful here. I still think the sunsets that we see here in my part of the state of central Indiana, we've got a great view to the west over these flat corn fields, especially during the harvest time when there are combines in the field and there's that, you know, dust from the bean fields of the corn fields when the sun is getting down, setting on the horizon.

11:28It is absolutely beautiful. I think some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen are in this state of Indiana. There's my degree. That's fine. I've been to some pretty places where the, I think the nature, the landscape is more beautiful. Montana, I would put in that in that group. You can't see the sun set the same way. They're going down behind the mountains, but my, oh, my, the beautiful colors that are created, the reflection of those reds and amber colors off the surface of the river that we were on. It's just gorgeous. It's beautiful. It's a creative genius and it is absolutely stunningly beautiful. We are made in his image. We have a bit of that inside of us. That's part of our character, part of our nature. And so he made us to build things. In fact, and I'm going to, we're going to talk about this because James Talleriko is a

12:29very progressive Christian. I don't want to call someone's faith into a camp, but he's way wrong. A lot of things he sees both in our nation and when he talks about capitalism, but also when he talks about biblical issues, he's completely wrong to the point that I don't even know if I recognize him as a, as a Christian, these things that he's, that he's saying. And we'll get into some of these things. God made us to be like him. We are creators as well. We build things in Genesis. It tells it. He told Adam and Eve, you know, we're going to populate the earth. You're going to have dominion over the earth. He didn't say this is mother earth. You should worship it. He didn't say this is a fragile planet. Be careful because you can somehow destroy my creation. It doesn't mean that we should be, of course, wasteful. It doesn't mean that we should intentionally, excuse me, create messes that we shouldn't

13:31appreciate and respect and care for nature. Certainly we should. But a lot of these ideas that we have, especially these ideas that man is contributing to climate change that we're going to destroy our habitat, it's just fundamentally flawed, at least in my way of thinking about things. The idea that God created a planet that we can somehow destroy is just a little bit crazy to me. And that's, by the way, if you read the entire Bible, you know that there will be a day where God destroys this earth and gives us a new heaven and a new earth. But we aren't the ones who accomplish that through climate change. It's just none of this stuff makes sense when you're talking about progressive Christianity and politics and the issues that are important to them. And then when they cite their Bible, which, of course, they're allowed to do. You don't hear people screaming about the separation of church and state when someone

14:33like James Talleriko preaches or goes to a church to campaign or whatever to speak to a group of Christians. You won't even hear that for me because that's not, of course, what the, the first amendment calls for. And of course, the term the phrase separation of church and state is not even in the Constitution. It's not in the Declaration. It's in a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Dan Berry Baptist. Look, I don't want to go into all that. But the point is, is that this, these issues are on the ballot in Texas, some of these fundamental issues. James Talleriko in 2020 called capitalism an oppressive system. Now let me, let me talk about that for a minute. What is it about capitalism? Just think about it for a moment. Pure capitalism. What is it about capitalism that says it's an oppressive system? How can someone even utter those words? Capitalism, my friends, is the system, of course, that we have.

15:38Free market capitalism means that the private sector controls the means of production. So that means that whatever is produced in an economy, that is owned and operated by private individuals, corporations, it can be a publicly traded company. It's whatever it is. It's not through the government. It's not managed by the government. The means of production is not controlled by the government. The profits are not funneled to the government, for the government to redistribute those to people and so forth. Free enterprise says that what you do, what you create, what you build, what you produce is yours to keep. Yes, there are taxes. Yes. Oh, and all taxes are not bad. There has to be taxes to support the government that we've created. We've given our consent through the Constitution for the government to do certain things.

16:39The problem is the government has started doing way more than has been outlined in the Constitution. It's, it's, reach is well beyond, extends well beyond what our founders framed for it to do. The government to do. So you have a more expensive government that's looking for more ways to take because it has to again, the nature of humanity is to grow things. So it's good to grow a business. It's good to grow a family. It's good to grow a community at church, whatever, a nonprofit organization. Those things are good to grow, you know, increasing size, increasing the amount of products and services you can deliver. Those things are good. Things help other people in the economy. By the way, that's what capitalism is. Capitalism says that there are people who create things. Anybody can do this, but they create things. They create ideas. They create apps. They create products. They create new name, technological advances.

17:43And they offer these to people in exchange for a fee, exchange for money. And the money that the person who produces accepts as the price that they will take for providing that good, that service, that product, that app, whatever it is, that, and if that matches what the person on the other end is willing to pay for it, then you have a voluntary transaction. This is a beautiful thing. How is that oppressive? How is that oppressive? Well Todd, not everybody can afford everything that they want. I grant you that, but how is that oppression? Oppression is when we talked about this yesterday, every day after this show, my family and I get together are three kids, my wife. We're going through the Bible. We've read Proverbs, we've read Psalms, we just finished Genesis, we're now in Exodus, and we spend, you know, 45 minutes or so studying it, talking about it.

18:45And we talked, we read Genesis, excuse me, Exodus chapter one yesterday, and if you're familiar with that chapter, you'll know the people, the people, the Israelites, excuse me, allergy season here, the Israelites were in Egypt. This was after Joseph. Joseph, of course, was the descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Joseph. God used Joseph to basically save the people of the region, including the Israelites from a famine because God spoke to him during a dream and told him that famine was coming, actually, he spoke to Pharaoh and Joseph interpreted that dream. But God saved people through Joseph, his family, the Israelites moved to Goshen, which was a land in Egypt. They set up camp there. It was a very nice part of the land of Egypt.

19:45And so Genesis ends with the death of Joseph and Jacob, and then we fast forward a few hundred years to the time of Moses. And well, right before the time of Moses, and it talks about Pharaoh, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. He looks over it. This is generations later, right? This was a guy that had taken the helm, the Pharaoh of Egypt to no longer knew the story of Joseph. He wasn't familiar with that. He just looked over and saw, hey, there's a bunch of people here, these Israelites who are not Egyptian and they are getting to be a really big group. And our economy is kind of depending on these people. What if they get so powerful that they say, we're leaving and they, and they, we're not going to participate in your country anymore? So he said that, hey, let's basically make them slaves. And that's what they did. And it says it oppressed the people. This is oppression is when an entity, typically a government, but you can be oppressed in other

20:48ways too. When someone comes in and puts a heavy hand upon you, when someone comes in and takes away your freedom, your liberty, this is not at all what capitalism does. It is not at all what capitalism does. In fact, their ideology is exactly what does this. Their ideology comes in and it says, we love socialism. By the way, you may have seen, you may have seen where the house voted, the House Republicans voted to condemn socialism. The Democrats of course refused to condemn socialism. There were two that crossed party lines, two Democrats. Democrats that now are going to be made to pay the political price from their political leadership for doing such a audacious thing. A bombastic thing to actually vote to condemn socialism. That's actually a controversial thing amongst Democrats in 2026. They are social. They have made it clear. They are socialists. But socialism is the oppressive system, my friends.

21:53They tell the people that they think are at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder. I'm going to take from this group and give to you to see when I take, they're oppressing the people they're taking from. That is what is happening. But again, that's not the way that people want to see it. Instead they want to condemn capitalism, which is what James Tallariko does. I'll talk about that. 23:07Talking here about US Senate candidate James Tallariko, a progressive Christian. Again, I don't recognize much of what he tells us the Bible says. I also don't recognize much about, well, if I compare his political worldview, his politics with the foundations of this country, I also don't recognize that as something that we've ever had as something that has ever worked as well. He was in a private Zoom meeting with the Austin Sierra Club. You talk about a group of lunatics there, but the Austin, first of all, it's in Austin, which is a very left of center city. Sierra Club activists, those are radical people. This is a radical group. So there's a Zoom call where he's talking with some of these radical activists, and it's been released. It's been released here by somebody.

24:08And he's talking with this group about the oppressive systems that are working together he says in America and his process for dismantling them. This includes, by the way, capitalism from his, again, crazy worldview. So I'm just going to play this. It's about a minute long. You can picture this. It's James Tallariko. There's a screen here. It's a Zoom call. So there's lots of faces here scattered across this screen. Fittingly James Tallariko is on the far left. And he's talking to these lunatics in the Austin Sierra Club talking about dismantling capitalism. This is an individual who's running for the US Senate. But again, this shouldn't surprise us because Democrats in the House just voted against a bill. It's just, well, they voted against a bill that condemned socialism.

25:13So they are actively and openly socialist, something that just a few short years ago, people that I talked with, Democrats that I talked with on the streets, maybe through this program, social media, whatever, assured me that Democrats were not socialist. There's nobody's talking about becoming a socialist. Now they're actually all voting against, against a piece of legislation in Congress. That is designed or simply to say we condemn it. They won't even condemn it because they're actively seeking to implement more socialistic policies and ideas, taking away your liberty, your freedom, killing capitalism, killing or harming at least the very system that has lifted more people out of poverty around the world than socialism could ever dare dream about. My friends, but here's James Tallerico talking about dismantling what he calls three oppressive

26:19systems, capitalism, white supremacy and climate change. He's tied those together and he's going to dismantle all of them from Washington, DC. This is what he has to say. The multi-faceted threat of a climate crisis, an economic crisis and a social justice crisis. I think that kind of new deal effort would be the only approach to start to address all three in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Thank you very much. The second question, communities of color received the most harm from the impacts of climate change. Yet received the least government support to deal with it. I just can't believe these questions. Tell us about one of the committees you are on or hope to be on and the most important actions that committee could take to fight for climate justice and mitigate the impacts of climate change for all to painful. Yeah, and I'm so thankful that you asked this question. So I'm glad you asked this question.

27:19Young activists have really drawn the link between climate change and white supremacy and capitalism in order to talk about only ending the ways that all three of those oppressive systems work together are we going to be able to begin the process of dismantling them? Yeah, going to dismantle capitalism, my friends. These folks live in an alternative universe. There's nothing real about this. What in the world? Who sits around? The framing of these questions, the way that these folks talk, this is not anything. This is not anything like a normal conversation. It just isn't. So he wants to tear down. He says there's a link between climate change and white supremacy and capitalism and he's going to dismantle all three. I looked at this whole idea about white supremacy. Of course, there are white supremacists. Of course, there are white supremacists.

28:20Those folks are racists and those folks are. They're a fringe group. They're a fringe group. These are actually empowering these people who's actually out there talking about these people as though they have some great political power in this country. Those folks are of course the Democrats. No one is holding up and supporting white supremacists. Now there are people out there who say, listen, you should stop degrading people who are white. You should stop making everything about race. There are absolutely people who say that and I would agree with those folks. We should not be a nation again as Martin Luther King Jr said. We should stop being a nation that looks at the color of skin instead that looks at the content of someone's character, regardless of the color of their skin. These folks, they see white supremacists behind every shadow in this country. And it's for political opportunities.

29:22This is not real. This is to create a boogeyman. This is to create an evil kind of caricature and evil avatar on the side of Republicans that they can go after. There aren't actually huge groups of people who fit this. Now they'll tell you that if you're white, you are a white supremacist and you don't know it. You need to sit back and listen to people of color. Tell you, this is their words, not mine. They should tell you about all the ills that you've created for society. I've seen these things. I've seen Matt Walls do a documentary on this stuff. I've encountered some of these people. I've seen some of the things that they say. I've heard people who may work in a corporation talk about some of the meetings and calls that they've been on, or they have to almost effectively apologize for being white. I'm certain that there are instances where people have had to apologize to their colleagues for being white, for their whiteness.

30:23This is crazy talk. Then we've got climate change on top of that. Of course, I, listen, climate means something. There are defined types of climate. Climate zones on planet Earth. I forget the number I've read about this before, but there are certain types of climate. There's arid climates, there's tropical climates, whatever. Deserts, all these different types of climates. They have defined characteristics. I'm not aware of any area that had climate A now having climate B. I think if you look at the climate zones, or if you buy a plant, it'll say you're in these knots a little bit different. It's not breaking in at a tropical and subtropical and all this sort of stuff. It's basically saying it has a map of the country. If you live in zone one, you shouldn't be planting this plant until May 28th or whatever. If you live in zone two, you can plant it by May 15th or whatever the case may be.

31:25If you live in zone three, maybe you shouldn't plant this at all because it's not going to grow in this climate. There certainly are temperatures changing up and down, but does that mean that the climate is actually changing? That sounds a lot more serious to say climate is changing versus the weather change. The weather changes every day. Temperatures will go up and down. This has happened throughout history. That doesn't mean it's because you drive an SUV or because you eat hamburger. That's some of the stuff that these leftists are telling us. You eat too much beef because that's contributing to climate change because the more beef you eat, that means the more cows that have to be produced by farmers through having calves and raising them to produce hamburger for you to destroy the climate. There are people who believe having babies destroys the climate. Friends, typically speaking, God says to people to go and inhabit the earth and to populate

32:26it, to grow, to have dominion over it. That is at odds. The way that the left views the environment, the way that the left views the radical leftist view, again, having children. Some people have said they don't want to have children because they don't want to contribute to climate change. You realize how insane that is? They think they're smarter than the rest of us. Of course, somehow, James Talleriko takes those two absurd ideas and ties it to capitalism. Ties them to capitalism. It says he's going to dismantle all three of them because they're oppressive. But these people, these people somehow come up with this nonsense and it sounds like good reason. It sounds like something that's rational. Excuse me. Then, all time allergies hit my vocals on occasion here. There's also some very, well, Tallariko came out and said, or his campaign came out and said that he's a proud capitalist. This was in, I guess, conjunction with or in an announcement with an event that he had with Mark Cuban. Regardless, that's again, I, why would you want to dismantle something if you're proudly someone who's part of it? I'm a, I'll say I'm a fan of the Indiana Pacers.

35:33I don't want to dismantle the Indiana Pacers team. I want to support the team. I want the team to win. I don't want to say bad things about the team, right? I mean, this is just crazy talk. These people are too much for me. I want to say some other things that Tallariko has said. I don't have time to get into them in detail. I'm certainly not going to get to them altogether. In fact, you know what I'll do? I'll write about these in today's inner circle, which is really, really, really, really, really a place where we get to things that I can't always get to on this program. 36:33me as a Christian do not compute James Tallariko said that that atheists can be more Christ-like than some of his Christian colleagues in the house. First of all, if you're a Christian, you know that if you're a believer in Jesus, God tells us that he seals us with his Holy Spirit. He gives us the gift of his Holy Spirit. We are not made more Christ-like by our efforts. We are made more Christ-like through the power of the Spirit working through our lives. It doesn't mean there's nothing that we don't contribute to. It just means that his power makes us more like him. We cannot do this. This is the whole reason I should say. Jesus had to come to fix the problem of sin because we couldn't do it on our own. We are broken. We are sinful. We need him. In order to look more like him and act more like him, we need his Spirit indwelling within

37:37us so that that Spirit can work through us. That's just the fact. That's biblical. But he says that he sees more Christ-likeness in atheists. Now, I will say this. I will say that everybody, regardless of their religion, bears an image of God because we're created in his image. And that certainly people of all faiths can do things that are good. But all of us, every single one of us, sin, and none of us can be more like God on our own. So this is not even biblical. He's also said, God is non-binary. Folks, God has revealed himself. I just told you, we're working through the Old Testament. We just finished Genesis. We're now in Exodus. And God has revealed himself in very specific ways to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph. He's going to do that with Moses as well as we get into the book of Exodus.

38:41And he reveals himself as a father. This is, and by the way, when he came to earth as a human, as Jesus, he was a man. He wasn't non-binary. He wasn't confused. He wasn't gender-fluid. He is he. And he gets to tell us who he is, not James, Tallerico, all this crazy talk here, talking about God in common vernacular. Unfortunately, it's common vernacular in 2026. And try to make it sound like the trans community, transgendrism is a form of godliness. It is absolutely not. God created them male and female, my friends. This is again not not complicated. Not only that, God is spirit. So he's not physically male. He was again physically male when he came to earth, when Jesus came to earth. But this is crazy. He also talked about God needed Mary's consent for Mary to be the mother of Jesus, which

39:46is also again crazy talk. Of course, it's his way of saying that this is God respects the woman's right to choose. This is absolutely insane. I don't even like saying these things, but part of me thinks is he's saying that Mary could have aborted Jesus and that would have been acceptable to God. I don't even know what he's getting at here at some point. But God doesn't need our consent. God is God. We are not. Now, God has the foresight. God knows everything. God knows who is going to make the decisions or cooperate with him. He has his own way of making choices.
