Hey, I arrived almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I just wrapped a video call, uploading this giant file on my tablet, looking at my watch group and Nana's with the group chat, and of course, still lining up tonight's playlist on my phone. All at once? Yep, story of my life. That's why I switched to D-Mobile. They have the fastest 5G network. Okay, multitasker. I see you. Honestly, I never imagined I could do all this at once. It's awesome. Say no more, I'm totally switching. My post is taking way too long to upload. That's a sign you've got to get D-Mobile. So many reasons to join D-Mobile. Find yours at T-Mobile.com. Big part of this, the amount of passes that they were catching away from their body with their hands. I didn't see a lot of like getting the ball get into their bodies. Like they were catching the ball. And I know it's a little thing, but it just jumped out off the screen to me last night watching this. And there were a couple where I think a couple got into their bodies. But I was at 95% of those completions were by those receivers and tidings and running backs were away from their body, making the catch. And somebody's teaching them that. Somebody's over there coaching that. And then of course you have to be accurate as a quarterback. You want to make sure that you're leading your players and a couple of these little dump off passes. You know, to Tyrone Tracy coming out of the backfield. David Singletari. I mean, a Devon Singletari too. We're great. I mean, and that's the kind of touch that you want to see from your quarterback. So I want to start with the giants just because, nobody thought that they were going to be able to beat the Cowboys. We didn't think so either.
I don't think. But I do know that watching this and watching the 9-11 ceremonies before the game and watching the Yankees on Friday night with their 9-11 ceremony, they did an amazing job. Both teams did. You could feel the energy coming through that screen. And I think Chris Collins were said it probably about a quarter and a half into the game. You know that the Dallas Cowboys, whether that initial emotional storm, and they kind of settled the game down. But what I love about what the giants did, and this goes back to John Harbaugh, they are going to be a pain in the ass. They are going to be relentless. And they are just not going to stop. They're not going to give in. And this is the competitive thing that I told you or I felt like he was going to bring to the giants when they signed them. Yeah. And they've got so many things on offense that can confuse you in so many ways to beat you when everybody's out there on the field. And the other thing that John Harbaugh was saying about being a bully, you can really see that when they were running the football last night.
I mean, that was if you were like a football slumber, knucker guy like you get you all your hair stand up on the back of your neck when you watch a team run the football you saw that last night. Patrick Ricard, Cam Skataboo, offensive line pushing that D line of the Cowboys off the ball. I mean, I'm getting fired up just talking about again. That you love to see that when you could effectively run the football and then everything else opens up. Boom, neighbors, boom, likely. It was just it was it was a clinic for John Harbaugh's first game and Matt Nagy's first game as well. Exactly. So the other thing that you saw last night and Chris was talking about this last night is you know, you got Greg Roman up there and you got Matt Nagy. Now Matt Nagy obviously coming from Kansas City, they have all these exotic plays because I think they try to keep Patrick my home's interested. Yeah. I think it gets bored at bored at time. So they come up with all these little kind of unique plays, especially Red Zone, especially tight Red Zone plays. And the little touchdown pass to Isaiah Leicley was one of those plays.
That's right out of the playbook of the Kansas City Chiefs. So what does that tell me as I interview myself that tells me that Matt Nagy believes that his quarterback is smart enough, good enough, athletic enough to create plays around him where he can handle it and not overreact and not you know, wet his pants. So it was about as good as an opening game for Jackson Dart, Matt Nagy and the entire offense. Now the one thing I will say about the defense, you know, the penalties, they gotta get rid of the penalties. Yeah. Too many penalties and I, a couple of those passing and parents calls for like, come on guys. I mean, the White Vs here is no chance to get the ball and I don't think either of these defensive backs are really inhibiting them and that's why you would be throwing the flags. I, I, I questioned some of that, but overall this was it couldn't have gone any better against the team that had owned them for 14 straight games with that press caught his quarterback.

Are you looking for a football podcast that doesn't put you to sleep

Follow and listen to He the Call, NFL podcasts, wherever you get your podcasts. Yeah, and it's not like the Cowboys got shut out and the Giants defense was all over them, but the the Giants have issues in their secondary. They also had some injuries last night as well back there. So the fact that Dak Press got didn't throw 45 points on them. I think it's really something that we need to look at as well. And you get that, you know, Javante Williams with this dumb ass personal foul penalty, pushes Brandon Aubrey back for a 50 yard extra point and misses it. But the most impressive part about the end of the game was the Giants were not giving the ball back to the Cowboys.
I was thinking about it five minutes left to go. What are we doing? Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? And boom, boom, boom, and third down conversions. Right. Exactly. And that's the difference between the the Jack game and Tennessee was that both the Cowboys and the Giants had a very high percentage of third down conversions. And that's good for the quarterbacks. And especially like lately game games getting tight, you know, all of a sudden here we go. We got an eight point game and the Giants got the ball. And they're still throwing the ball. And Jackson's art was throwing it and they trust them in there. They put them in all the those are the toughest spots because you know that the momentum of the game is starting to swing. So you got to stop the momentum. And you do that when you have a very talented quarterback that you believe in and that you have confidence in. And you know, he didn't play a lot in preseason. There were other players around the league that looked like they hadn't played a lot in preseason either. But it looked like Jackson's art kind of picked up where he left off last year. But now all of a sudden he kind of understands it. Yeah, I might has gone on. I had I had really like there. I didn't I once think that he looked like someone who needed more football in the preseason.
And that's something that we discussed a lot of obviously the running is still a huge part of his game. You know that was a late hit that first hit. He took down the the far sideline. He ends up being a personal foul penalty in a late hit and he takes that one. And obviously he already fired up on the sideline. But every other time that he ran the football he he protected himself for the most part got out of bounds. It was smart about it. And honestly, like he looked quicker to me this year than he did last year. Well, he's smarter. Yeah, he's just smarter. He understands the game better. It's the light has gone on for him. Now he's got look, we got a long way to go. And there are going to be some tough games. We know that next week is not going to be easy against the Rams, but they are lucky. They're not going to see Miles Garrett. So they get a break there. We'll see what kind of shape the Rams are in next. I think it's next Monday night. Yeah, Monday. Yeah. So they got a whole week off, maybe a couple of extra days off this week, which would be good. And again, I can't I can't reiterate enough about what a coach can do for a team. And what what the John Harboss signing when Chris Marrow went down there to sit down and talk to him and
convince him and given $20 million a year that would convince me to, but the come here and be the coach and just kind of like, I can feel like the team was totally organized. Yeah. And we just haven't seen it. You know, right? I know that in this, I could say the same thing about the Jets, especially in offense, even though the Jets are playing, maybe the worst offense in football with Brian Debel, Colin plays for Camp Ward, who just is brutal right now. And I don't know if they're long for that kid. I really don't. I mean, and it's the first game. And again, I want to be careful about overreacting, but you know, they're going to be like three teams in the running for archmaning. We ask. They're going to be three teams in running for archmaning. Miami's going to be one of them. I do believe Tennessee is going to be the other. I, you know, who knows about Arizona. We don't know, but that's that's the team that surprised us yesterday. You know, it's probably percent look great. You know, I was wondering like, why is he asking for a race? Well, he got it because of the way that he played yesterday.
And the fact that, you know, the team's not great, but they do have some good players. But that was a huge win for Michael Floor, the former offensive coordinator for the Jets and also for the Rams. Hey, all right. It's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago.
