Jimmy Kimmel defies presidential criticism with more jokes

Jimmy Kimmel has responded off the US President and First Lady, both called for him to be fired.

Yeah, over that joke last week and then based on what happened at the correspondence dinner,

it all seemed to be very inappropriate.

People seem very divided, some people say it's a free speech issue, it's only a gag, you

know, lighting up, other people are saying, no, you can't do it, it's a step too far.

But last night, on the show, he was certainly, it was business as usual, he seems to be just

turning us into more material for himself.

He's a little of what he said in his opening monologue.

It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he's almost 80 and she's younger than

I am.

It was not by any stretch of the definition of call to assassination and they know that.

So yeah, as I say, he turned it into more material.

The network itself doesn't seem to be responding in any way, they don't think you're putting

out any public statements.

One thought I will give you that people may not realise is that Jimmy's wife is more obsessed

with Donald Trump than he is and she is actually the executive producer and co-head writer of

the show.

So there's nobody here's kind of saying, you know, maybe we'll just do four jokes about

Trump tonight rather than 14.

I just think it's excessive.

So I was an executive at the ABC network, I'd be looking at that as part of the problem.

Oh, okay.
