What's good boys and girls? Two-footed extra on Friday the 27th of March. Hope you're well. Let's get into the news. James Milner says he could play a few more years. James, you haven't been able to play in years. You've been given appearances out of pity more than anything. So no. Absolutely not. Enter Miami are naming a stand at their new stadium after Lionel Messi. Yeah, okay. He's got the most goals. He's got the most assists. Mums through a new club. Only established a handful of years before he went there. So yeah, I don't mind it at all. He's the greatest player of all time. And the fact that you've had him means that you should always treasure that. You're one of the three clubs that Lionel Messi has played for in his career. He may choose to go back to Argentina. I really hope he does.
I'd love him to go back and play one year in Argentina at whatever club he chooses. I think that would be incredible. But I mean, if he probably loves his life in Miami, he's got everything he's ever wanted. So yeah, why not? Leicester City lost 71.1 million last season. So obviously they'd gone down, gone back up lost 71.1 million. And they are now in an absolute mess financially and potentially in major trouble. Because if we take a quick glance at the championship table, they're third from bottom. They've played a game more than Portsmouth who are a point ahead of them. And then there are four points behind West Brom and Blackburn. So if Pompey won the game in hand, they'd be four points adrift. Now, Pompey's game is against
Ipswich. I don't expect them to win that. And if Ipswich win it, they'll jump into the automatic promotion spots. And I think Ipswich are going to go up automatically. But it's real that Leicester could go down. Now, the points deduction is in part why they're there, but even if they hadn't had the points deducted. So they've won 11 games and drawn 12. They have 45 points. They'd only be five points outside the relegation zone anyway, which is a catastrophic season for a club that began the year thinking they were going to go back up. And with these financial losses, they're probably facing another points deduction. Even if they go down, they're probably facing another points deduction. We do have some lower league action this weekend if you're looking for a bit of football to watch. Now, obviously, there's no Premier League. There's no championship, but there are league
one games. There are five of them. Stockporks play AFC Wimbledon. Reading, play Wigan. Blackpool against Burton. Exeter late Norean and Wickham against Port Vale. All of them are 3pm kickoffs on Saturday. We can look at league two as well, where there are also games being played. You've got Harrogate and Knots County is an early kickoff. That's a 12 30 on Saturday. And then at 3pm, we're going to have a raft of games. Swindon Fleetwood, Barrow Bromley, Barnard Cambridge, Crawley Gillingham, Solford M. K. Don's, Newport County Shrewsbury, Crew against Oldham, Old Chester against Walsall and Bristol Rovers against Ackrington Stanley. If you fancy a little bit of National League, if there's a National League team closely and you fancy going to a game, there are 10.
Brain Tree versus Carlyle, Morkham versus Older Shot. Gateshead, Yovl, York, Woking, Truro, Boromwood, Sutton, Rochdale. Brackley, Tamworth, Eastley, Forest Green, Sully Hall against Altringham and F.C. Halle, Fax Town against Skontorp. All 3pm kickoffs on Saturday. You've got a local team going to show them your support. Obviously, heartache last night for Northern Ireland and for Wales and now a lot of soul searching and a lot of checking in to see what we will do next. Where are we going next? Record revenue and bumper wages, rexham's finances, analysed, a good article there to have a read. Killing the Bappe scored last night against Brazil. He's now won away from equaling Olivier Giroux as the all-time leading French goal scorer. Let's have a quick comparison side by side for one second. Killing and Bappe,
International Caps 95 already is 27. 56 goals for his national team. Which is, you know, let's be fair, very, very impressive. Olivier Giroux, where did I have that? There it is. Olivier Giroux 57 in 137. So, and Bappe will blast past that in far less games. And truthfully, with two more caps, he will enter the top 10 all-time for France and he's going to end up as France's all-time most cap player. That's currently Hugo Larise on 145 and Bappe. Almost certainly will pass that. There's no other active player in the top 10 of goals, either. There's no player in the squad anywhere close to him in terms of caps.
The next highest is Cante with 66, then Dembelli with 58, Rabio with 57. Dignia has 55. How does Dignia have 55 caps? What is going on? Even players have been called up in the last 12 months. Kingsley Coleman is 61. Benji Pavard is 55. Nobody's close to him. Ben White must clear air with England teammates. I mean, the issue was never with his teammates, the issue was with the coach. You know, the issue was always with the coach. Tottenham's women's manager, Martin Ho has signed a new long-term deal to stick with the women's super league team, so fair play to him. And finally, there's a good profile on Martin Patterson, who is the manager of Narts County, talking about his kind of path into management, what shaped him as a manager. And he makes reference to his Candy Floss hamstrings,
which is kind of funny. So go and read all of that and I will be back with the gossip seen a second. Zootopia 2 has come home to Disney Plus. Let's go! Get ready for a new case. Michael Elise, they will be allowed to join Liverpool even if a record fee of more than 170 million is offered. It wouldn't take 170 million. It will all depend on what competition Liverpool are in. And if he's the one they decide to go and get because he does have some sort of closet contract, whether bar and want to admit it or not. There's a reason. There's a reason they've been so quick to come out and shout this down. Manchester United will make a form approach for Sandro Tonelli at the end of the season.
Interesting. Not sure he's the right fish. Certainly not as the Casimirio placement. Next to whoever they buy to replace Casimirio, sure. Instead of Kobe Manu, sure, absolutely. But you need to sign a six to play with him. And maybe that's Belieber. Maybe that's Carlos Belieber. I think that could be good pairing. United of Port Miles do a Skelly on their another short list. No doubt. Let's stock this. Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are both monitoring Marcus Rashford. The zero chance Paris Saint-Germain are locking at him. Milan, I could see. Milan, I could see. No, I was him. Milan, if he can't go to Paris, Milan would be an ideal alternative. Villa could also move for Rashford if they failed to sign Jayden Sancho. Interesting. Interesting. Arsenal are interested in Julian Alvarez. I'm sure they are. It means nothing. Liverpool are looking to sign Ileman and Jayne. No, they're not. And Jay and James Garner are targeted to United in a 100 million pan double move.
I mean, Garner came through it United. So I'm sure he'd go back there. But I don't know that either should move. I think both should stay where they are because I don't think either are starters for United, whether the stars are at Everton. Garner has become a proper player. And Everton are shaping up something really nice. Now, they need a nine who can score regularly because neither Beto or Barry can do that. But Giuseby Hall is a 10 Garner in midfield. I think next season we might see the best of Merlin role. So maybe those two. And Jay on a flank. The question then is who's on the other flank. It could be Grelish. They could keep him. They could commit to Tyler Dibling stepping up into that role. They might look for someone who's more of an out there. Pacey Winger. But that's all pretty strong. And you'll still have Irobonum. And you'll have Charlie Alcaras. You'll have Beto and or Barry. They'd have quality depth there as well. And then at the back, if they can keep brand-weight. And this season's probably
helped them keep brand-weight for next season because he's missed so much. But I'd be looking to go on brand-weight and O'Brien as a centre-back pairing. And then Tarkoski and Keen as a backup. Maybe they bring in Ben White. So you go Ben White with Patterson or Coleman or whoever as the backup. I'd like a more attack-minded left-back and then Michael Enk was the backup. So that might be something they look at. But you start to look at Everton and it could take shape. You get them a striker. You get them a couple of good fullbacks. You've got Pickford. Yeah, it's a pretty good team. It could be European team. It could be European team off this season for sure. Paris Saint-Germain are not expecting Arsenal to make a move for Creature College Galleier, the Gunner's Aquinum and Anthony Gordon. Anthony Gordon's Farmer realistic. They're not getting to beat you. New Castle of the earmarked Ben White has a potential replacement for Cure and Trippier. Interesting. Atlético Madrid have set the sights on Farantares. Who cares? Alejandro Balde is attracting interests from Man United, Man City and Villa. Apparently he is
available this summer. I'd be stunned if they sold them though. I know the hamstrings have been an issue. Sondolin could face a battle to keep Lucharel Gertrude at the club next season. Liverpool, Villa, Everton, Tartanham and Crystal Palace are all interested. Liverpool, I don't know that they are. I think it was just an opportunistic thing in January ultimately nothing came but I don't expect that they'll go back and try to get him again in the summer. That's it for me then. That's everything. I will see you all on Monday. Have a great weekend. Coffee Creamers make every sip a good one. Two good coffee creamers. Real goodness in every sip.
