Locked On Marlins POSTCAST: Marlins Beat ace Seth Lugo, Royals 2-1 in K.C. 'LIVE'

The Miami Marlins squeaked out two runs in the seventh inning- after the Kansas City Royals inexplicably took ace Seth Lugo out of a game he was dominating- and the bullpen took it home from there in a 2-1 win that evened up this series at a game apiece, with the rubber game set for tomorrow.

The Marlins (27-51) and Royals (43-37) fought it out in Kansas City, with Yonny Chirinos battling K.C. ace Seth Lugo, and the bullpens taking it from there. 

Chirinos gave up just one run on three hits, striking out five in his best outing of the season so far. 

Lugo went just six innings after no-hitting Miami through 4 1/3, allowing just one hit and striking out eight. 

The Marlins took advantage of Lugo's short outing, scoring two runs in the seventh off Carlos Hernandez- on two infield singles and a throwing error- to take the lead. 

Otto Lopez had his second straight two-hit game for the Marlins, who have won five of their last seven games. 

Vinnie Pasquantino had an RBI single for the Royals, who hadn't scored a run in eleven innings before last night's game. 

The two teams wrap up their three-game series tomorrow at Kaufman Stadium, with first pitch set for 2:10pm ET. 

Valente Bellozo will make his major league debut on the mound for the Marlins, facing the Royals' Brady Singer. (4-4, 3.29 ERA) to pitch for Miami.

The Royals are the -230 favorite, with the Marlins at +195, and the over/under of 9.5 runs is -130 on the over and +110 on the under.
