Visionnaire et pionnière, elle a contribué à bâtir dès la fin des 70’s les fondations de cette industrie qui n’en était pas encore une. Grande voyageuse, vivant entre mer et montagne, elle est à l’origine des premières projections en France de films de glisse sur grand écran. Quelques années plus tard, au gré de voyages et de rencontres, c’est dans la ferme basque familiale qu’a été créé NaPali, la division européenne de Quiksilver. Mais l’une des plus grandes réussites de Maritxu est d’avoir permis aux filles d'obtenir la place qui était la leur au line-up - et en dehors - à travers la première marque de surf 100% féminine : Roxy. Avec simplicité, elle raconte à notre micro cette carrière impressionnante constamment nourrie de voyages et de projets en tout genre, et portée par la même passion qu’à ses débuts.
