From ABC News, Wall Street Weekend, consumer prices rose more than expected in August, putting new pressure on the federal reserve as it considers its next move on interest rates. An oil price is surged above $100 a barrel, as fighting involving Iran raised fears about disruptions to global energy supplies. That could mean higher prices at the gas prompt, and more expensive transportation and goods, making the feds fight against inflation even tougher. The rising inflation concerns pushed the yield on the 10-year treasury know close to 5 percent, mortgage rates moved higher to, and stocks ended the week lower despite a strong rally Friday, as oil prices pulled back. Apple stock got a nice bump by the end of the week after the unveiling Wednesday of its latest generation of iPhones. That included the widely anticipated foldable phone called Duo. A group of former Amazon warehouse employees as filed suit against the company, claiming systematic discrimination against pregnant workers. Amazon has denied. The accusations, Dave Packer, ABC News.
