About this episode
In 1981, Marlene Hayes, a beloved wife, mother, and business owner, was attacked and murdered after unexpectedly interrupting a burglary at her home in Bel Air, Maryland. More than four decades later, the case remains open, although investigators continue to pursue new forensic testing.
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Marlene Hayes. Just two months before the murder, Marlene's husband was lured to his car dealership by a fake police call and robbed at gunpoint of approximately $15,000. Authorities never established whether that robbery was connected to Marlene's murder. Over the years, they attempted to link her murder to Henry Lee Lucas.
