Minnesota’s fraud scandal is a huge warning for America

0:00Does it matter if the government that we hire, which we literally are hiring a government to protect us, to protect our God-given rights? Does it matter if they lie to us, if they defraud us, if they tolerate the theft of millions upon millions and perhaps even at this point, billions of dollars of taxpayer funds? Does it matter and should we the people, the citizens, bring a stop to this? Well this is, don't inbib the cool aid. I'm your host, Pastor David Whitney. I serve as a senior instructor at Institute on the Constitution where we teach the founders view of law and government. And with me today I'm so pleased to have Woody Kay of Loud and Liberty, which is part of reclaiming the Republic, away in which we can get back the Republic that was designed

1:06to protect our God-given rights, but clearly it's not doing a very good job at that. When we talk about fraud, perhaps the one that comes to people's mind most frequently right now, at least is what's happened there in Minnesota, and what appears to continue to happen. And I guess the good news is that this is being brought to the light so that people can see how terrible this fraud is and the billions of dollars that are going off, you know, a full out fraud that people say, oh well, we offered this health care and therefore we're going to build Medicare and they never did a thing, but they build Medicare, Medicare paid them and all under the adjees of the governor of the state, governor walls and the attorney general of the state, Ellison, they had known about these millions and millions of dollars of medical funds being fraudulently stolen from we, the people and they did nothing about it at all. Woody, what's your take on what's taking place with the massive fraud happening, not just

2:07in Minnesota, but Maine and California and all over the country where they're stealing from we, the people? Thank you. Thank you for having me, Pastor, as always, and enjoy these conversations because you and I both agree that the Constitution is the remedy that God has given us. It's a dominally inspired document whether these men were perfect or deist or, or, or whatever stripe of Christianity you want to label them with is immaterial in my view. What the final document is is magnificent and it gives the power to the people, Republican form of government to push back. So the answer to your question is quite complicated. We talked a little bit, but before going on the air about how I personally believe that everything has been orchestrated and concocted over the last several years to give us a,

3:08a sense of, of opposition within our own ranks. Red, red versus blue, Democrat versus Republican, Black versus whites, genders, male versus female. It's all designed to get us at each other rather than unifying around the Constitution. So the situation in Minnesota is one of many. I mean, I personally think that the whole thing with Anthony Fauci was all theatrics designed to present this image that the government is finally going to execute justice on people that have committed heinous crimes and it's not going to happen. It's designed, I think, personally, with that going down this rabbit hole of conspiracy theory. I believe that the, the evidence points to the Republicans and Democrats pouring each,

4:09with each other gives the people a sense that things are going to happen one way or the other and they never do. It's designed to keep us in suspense or on the edge of our seats, hoping that some element of resolution will come so that the people that realize that COVID was created to do great damage to us physically, emotionally, spiritually, will, there will be justice served. But it's, it's not the semallion situation. I probably don't follow it quite as closely and as I did before at one time, but I totally agree with you that it's clear evidence that there's all sorts of financial fraud in our government and we have the power to bring some kind of remedy to our local government,

5:09which will then put pressure on the state legislature, which will then, according to the Constitution, bring pressure on the federal government to, the government currently is six, as I understand it, six million people. I moved from Loudon County where I live now, when I left here in 81 to go work in New York, it was 50,000 people here and it was a small, relatively small county with small farms, working class people. There were some wealthy people here too, but it was, there was no division, there was no controversy, there was no animus towards individuals or, or groups. I came back in 2020 to care for my mother and my wife's mother and the county had grown to 435,000 from 50 to 435,000 in roughly four years, give or take. And what comes with that, what comes with that is all sorts of regulation and restrictions

6:15and attacks, high-bery high taxes and people are at each other's roads because they're working several jobs to make ends meet and we're in a high interest rate environment and with the US dollar going down, there's going to be more and more financial pressure put on people which creates a more division and we need to see the big picture. The big picture is that this takeover which I believe is not an understatement, has come to this land to bring on either communism or as we spoke about before, a longmatism or whatever it is to take away the power of the US Constitution that we have if we will implement it, but we've been sort of pushed off into a corner thinking that the government is our boss, we have to do what it says and that is the opposite of what the Constitution

7:18says. I apologize for drowning. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, our founders designed our system of government to be a servant to the people. It's the first words of the Constitution, we the people, we are the masters, the government is our servant and the whole purpose for the civil government existing at all is in the Declaration of Independence which this year we're celebrating the 250th anniversary of the crafting and signing of that document, but it's clear there is a creator God and that's the God of the Bible, our rights come from him and from him alone and the only purpose of human civil government is to protect those God given rights. So in a sense, we're the master, we're hiring somebody to help us. It's kind of like if you think of this, if you thought your life was in danger in the town you live in or whatever, you might hire a bodyguard. So bodyguard is going to be with you wherever you travel to protect your life. That's what you hired them to do.

8:19So suppose one day you get to some point where the bodyguard decides he wants to take a vacation in the middle of a very dangerous situation, you see three thugs coming down the street. Okay, he leaves, does that mean I can't defend myself? No, of course, all the things that I hired my bodyguard to do, I can still do, and again that's what the Constitution is designed to do, securing our God given rights to us and assigning certain duties to the civil government that we hire to protect our life, our liberty, our property, all of our God given rights protected by that document. So if you don't have that worldview and you're right, Woody, I think many Americans have lost that worldview and have viewed that government as our master. And I think part of this really happens because so many people, your county, my county is as well, the majority of people in my county are employees of the federal, state or local government.

9:19For people work for the government, then work in private sector and think about that. If you had a dog in the summertime, and you got one tick on that dog, the dog's going to survive, okay? But what about 10 ticks or 20 ticks? So what about the ticks taking more blood out of the dog than the dog can produce? That dog is dead. And so when you have more than 50% of the population working for the government, wait a minute. All that money has to come from people who are actually producing something. They're making a widget or they're producing food or some service they're offering to the community. But the people who are in government are just taking from us. And yes, there are certain government roles that are necessary. We need to have police and so on. But there are so many jobs in the government that should not be being done by the government. By the way, that brings us right back to the Medicaid fraud there going on in Minnesota. We shouldn't have medicated all to begin with. It's unconstitutional. Well, that was the LBJ project, one of our worst presidents ever, the LBJ project to further

10:21steal from the people and take the medical care of people and make it a job of the government when it should have never been a job of the government in the first place. Amen to that. Totally true. GR, T.R. Mobily, who you may have referred to earlier, has got on his website something called the Table of Tyranny, which goes through every agency and department in the US government. And I believe the number is somewhere around 89 to 90 percent are unconstitutional. It's a massive number. So the effect is not only is you alluded to rightly a financial one is it to carry this incredible expense. But it's also a very strategic political one that they've undertaken because they know that all these workers are going to vote Democrat because they want the Democratist for

11:22big government to templistically looking at it. Democratic Party is for big government and the Republican Party allegedly, even though that's clearly they haven't done a very good job of defending it. It's for constitutional government, which is small and limited. But they know if they get these people and by the way, it's not unfair. I don't believe to say that they are incredibly overpaid. The number of in Loudoun County, I believe, so close to the actions of some people have said to me that would know these things have said that the average salary of a mid-level federal worker is between $250,000 and $300,000. Wow. Wow. The average mid-level. The average mid-level. It's a stoutie. And that's how county has got, we've got all these like mansions around in their all federal employees.

12:24So the enemy is very tactical and has done a job at convincing us. And this is normal. As you said, the analogy that we like to use is parent child. We are the people are the parent and we tell the government what to do, but it's been flipped. Yes. We're not stupid. We're just ignorant. And part of that is also tactical because they've taken civics out of the school system. So nobody knows this stuff. That's why it's incumbent on you and I and others. And you're doing a terrific job of getting into the schools and helping these kids learn what they need to because it's not the human eye are going to be gone soon. We've got to get these guys to the next generation. It's critical. Yes. It is critical. And you're right to say that it's been flipped that the parent child or the servant master relationship has been flipped. And I think a good proposal and I don't know that our founders thought about this, but

13:28a good proposal would be to say if you're working for any form of government, a job in the government, you don't get to vote. Because we know what you're going to vote for. You're going to vote more money out of my paycheck into your pocket and therefore your vote, maybe your vote should be cut in half or you shouldn't vote at all. I'm not sure the exact formula, but it should be clear that if you choose to work for the government, federal, state or local government, you should have less a voice in how that money is spent. You know, before the establishment of a constitutional republic, we had 13 different colonies, with each colony having their own set of rules and so forth. And then the colonies all formed into states 250 years ago when the declaration of independence before a constitution was ratified and all that. But some of those states, my state included, required you to have sufficient property to be able to vote. And people complained about that and it's terrible. We're discriminating on people, not allowing them to vote and so forth.

14:30But there's wisdom in what they were doing. And this was on the state level. This is not yet the constitution had been ratified and so on. But at the state level, they were saying, if you're not paying in taxes, you don't get to vote and choose representatives to determine how those taxes are going to be spent. That should be left to the people who actually are paying in. And in our case, I think it was 50 acres. You had to have 50 acres or a business or something that was equivalent so that you were paying taxes into the system, that you were electing people who were going to make choices about how about money was spent today. We have people who are on welfare, not just federal employees, state employees working for the government. People on welfare and obviously what are they going to vote for when they go into the voting move to take more money out of your pocket and put it into their welfare check that they receive without doing lifting even a finger. They don't have to go to the post office box to kind of check anymore. Appears automatically right there in their account or their debit card or their EBT card

15:30that allows them to purchase food. They're robbing us and they get to vote as to how much they're going to rob us us. Now, I know that there was a big little brew hole here that it appears we're now $40 trillion in debt. So it's not that we're spending enormous amounts of money which we are. We're actually spending, we've spent $40 trillion more money than the federal government actually has which means we've burdened my children, grandchildren, great-grange, maybe it's eternal debt that we're looking at that they will be debt slaves for the rest of foreseeable history of our country if our country can survive such an awful thing. Absolutely true. I would completely subscribe to that and go back to where the way it was because we got free load of the welfare state in America as you alluded to is a behemoth and we've got

16:30free loaders and I know there are some people that really have issues that they need support and help me. But it should come from the churches. That's the way it used to be. It came from the churches. It didn't come from government. Government has no authority to sort of be handing out benefits to people. I think Franklin had a very good quote about this. 20:35test the dangerous poisonous Kool-Aid that is circulating in our culture. It's very common. You're going to encounter it just about every day of the week. The two litmus tests here at Donem Bible Kool-Aid, first of all, is the Word of God. It is absolutely true in everything it says. If some truth claim comes along to say the opposite of what the Word of God says, it's not true. It's a little late. So when people say a man can become a woman, we open the Word of God in Genesis once. Oh no, in a way, the God created male, God created female. They're born male or female. That way for the rest of their existence. So Donem Bible Kool-Aid, first by testing it according to the Word of God. The second litmus test is our founding documents. The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, subsequent amendments. We need to use these as a litmus test to test what our government is doing. Is it accurate? Have we the people actually given it permission to do the things that it is doing? And before the break, we were talking about welfare. As one of those things is a huge mistake to allow our federal state or even local governments

21:38to enter into the whole business of welfare, why don't you pick up your thought from there? Sure. I'm going back to your comment that the original founders only gave the right to vote to property owners. And I believe that there's got to be some modern version of that that we could go back to because we've allowed the welfare state to vote. And we touched a little bit on the 19th amendment. And I love women. It's not a question of it. It's a question of loving women, but it's a question of whether households should who own property or the ones. And maybe a woman is entitled to vote if she's the only one that's in the household. And that's maybe the answer to it. So there were some issues that came about that. And it's led to the feminist movement. And the feminist movement has been a very destructive element in our culture and country.

22:44And again, I love women. You're going to say that because you're going to expect a whole lot of rotten tomatoes. I know. I know. I don't mind. Let's have a discussion about it. That's right. Throw it stuff at me. But I think you're right with the idea of the head of household. And it's a household that is a tax paying household, not one that's receiving welfare benefits. I think that would be one clear thing. If you receive welfare benefits, sorry, you surrender your ability to vote. I would like to see people who are employed by the government also put on that. But they do pay taxes. The question is, do they pay as much taxes as their salary? And I think the answer is always no, right? None of them pay 100% of their salary back in. So wait a minute. They're taking out of the system. Even if it's, you know, they're paying some portion back in from their $250,000 salary. Some portion is going back. But it's a huge problem that we have that has been created by the government doing things that it should not be doing. I mean, look at the Department of Education.

23:45I wonder what the head of that department is making. She making 400,000 or something, you know, ridiculous amount of money. And none of that, none of that is constitutional. We find no wording anywhere in the Constitution that can be interpreted the way our founders interpreted the Constitution that would allow the federal government to spend one penny, one penny on the subject of education, let alone billions and billions of dollars every year. And I know there's programs that Trump had said he was going to shut down the Department of Education, but it's like, well, I guess we can't do that because this, that, and I don't know the whole list of excuses, but it's clear, well, the Department of Education continues to go on. That means people are violating their oaths to the Constitution, my view. I'd love you to share that same view. Yeah, I definitely do. We're working on a podcast. And the first title, first subject matter was the Koch Fisheries County of 1792 or three where the government approved against Madison's wishes.

24:47Madison was, let's vehemently against it, they claimed that it was a general welfare clause situation with fishermen up in the Massachusetts area. And Madison vehemently said, no, no, no, you cannot do this. It does not, it's not a numerated and we cannot be given money out to help certain work, worker classes. And he is fascinating, David, that he used in his rebuttal against it, schools as his primary number one, he said, if we let this go through, eventually they're going to be government schools. And he, I mean, this was 250 years ago, a little less than that, but a long time ago and his crystal ball, Prussian mind was spot on and it's been growing and growing ever since. And so what's the real outgrowth of that, a outgrowth of that is that they've indoctrinated

25:50our children into believing utter nonsense. They don't learn how to think, they learn a bunch of useless information, they know nothing about our founding documents. And by the way, I throw in besides the declaration and the constitution, the ratification debates are critical and we don't talk about those nearly enough. A lot, the federal court system has convinced us that their proof text for their decisions or the federalist papers and the federalist papers, there's some wisdom in there, but it was written effectively by three men for the purpose of New York State to put into the newspaper circulation and help people see what the constitution was about, but they weren't like the ratification debates, which is basically a power of attorney where these guys were sworn to uphold what they were doing in the states in terms of debating each

26:53clause and the constitution was debated. And the federalist one, I know there's a lot of debate about whether that turned out to be a good thing. I think it absolutely is a good thing if we defend it. But if we let it run a mock like we have now and people conveniently say, well, the anti-federalist had it right, that's not true. They didn't have it right. The federalist had it right, but the people are the ones that are really falling down on the job here because we're the ones that are supposed to hold them accountable and we haven't done it. Amen. That's on us is really our job to do that. I like that you brought up the question about general welfare because that is a huge question that has allowed the federal government to begin doing all sorts of things that it should never have engaged in. And our founders like James Madison said, no, no, that's not general welfare, helping the cop fisherman, that's not the job of the federal government. Somebody else might choose to do that.

27:53You know, an individual society might gather funds to help them or whatever, but it's not the job of the federal government. And when that general welfare clause is misinterpreted, it's usually misinterpreted in the direction of the federal government basically has a blank check to do whatever it wants to do with no restrictions. And Madison argued that, you know, such an interpretation of the Constitution is completely abhorrent and it ignores the text because the text says, in article one section eight, here's the 18 things where you could argue 17 things because one is, you know, has the power to enact these 18. But these 18 items, yes, these are all for the general welfare. Everyone in the country needs to benefit from these. So example, one of them in the list 18 is the post office. The federal government was given authority by we the people and the ratification of the Constitution to establish post offices all across the nation. As many states were in the nation, they were going to have post office. But the general welfare was that every community would have postal service available to it.

28:58It wouldn't be that there's post offices in Pennsylvania and no post offices in New York or in Virginia. No, all the states are going to have post office. The system is going to allow you to mail a letter to any part of the country. By the way, we take this off a granted today. In that day, it was not. There was not postal systems that were effective that you could actually trust to get the mail to where you wanted it to go. So it was a brand new idea. And today, I believe it take we need the post office. We have much more efficient systems with what FedEx and UPS and so on. But anyway, it's there in the Constitution. So it is permission that we have given the federal government to form that. But the general welfare means everybody benefits equally. So it's kind of the image of all boats rise equally when the tide comes in. And they go down equally. So you can't have what we did with Katrina. We're going to go help those people in Katrina with federal dollars taxed out of the rest of the 48 states or 49 states to help this one state.

29:58It's like, no, no, they were not given permission to do that. And the general welfare clause has been abused to claim that that's what we gave them permission to do. But you're right. If we the people don't know the standard, we don't know the proper interpretation of that general welfare clause, then we don't get to restrict the people who we elect and tell them, look, you don't go down to Washington and give money away to the con fisheries or to Katrina or anybody else. Because if you do, we're going to fire you in the next election or we may even call for your recall before the next election, which they could do with senators before the 17th amendment. But yeah, so that general welfare, you're absolutely right. It is huge. And we've got to recover our founder sense of that. In your study and research in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, are there other either clauses or phrases that come to your mind that like the general welfare clause that have been a huge way in which our Constitution has been turned on its head and doing things that our founders

31:00never intended it to do? You built a perfect segue, David, that you just mentioned it, that the uniformity clause is another one because they sort of pick winners and losers and Madison used these very words that were you and I are using now to point out this is not going to end well. And he specifically mentioned the schools, which I just find astounding. The other thing I sort of triggered in my mind when you were going to the talking about the post office, which is approved and they needed to, as I understand it, they needed to make sure that there was access, not the transportation department or Department of transportation in terms of that kind of road structure, but enough roads that would get mail to and fro without some massive behemoth infrastructure issue that we have today. But the only authorized military in the article one section eight is the Navy and the Marines

32:09are their sort of ground force, assisted organization. But all these other military harms are completely unconstitutional and what they've done to it by doing that is they removed the ability for the people to have militias in the various states. If we had militias and got away from these standing armies and these military industrial complex, it Eisenhower said was going to overwhelm us. Now we've got a medical industrial complex. So we've got two of them going on at the same time, which are both unauthorized. But if we had the militia effectively installed in the states, run by the counties, by the sheriffs in the counties, we would be at peace. We wouldn't have any of this craziness that we see now. But people, even in the county I live in, when you bring up the word militia, they think

33:10of what the right word is. It's sort of a lawless, renegade force that's going to run ripshod through the county, but it's exact opposite. These are people at least 20 years old that have to be trained in advance, learn how to use a firearm, learn what the law is, learn what the constitution is. I can't think of a better way to bring about peace. These founders knew that. Washington, I think, called out the militia for the whiskey rebellion because they didn't want to comply with it. Fortunately, a couple of people were killed during it, but it's powerful and has been omitted and trampled. I don't know how many people served in the army and the air force and the other branches

34:10of government, but it's way beyond what they are envisioned. Amen. I'm glad you brought up the militia at the county level as well because technically that's the posse, which the sheriff has under his control, and a good sheriff who really knows the constitution and praise God, there is a constitutional sheriff's of peace officers association that is trying to train sheriffs across the country as to their constitutional powers and their constitutional duties. A good sheriff can stop tyranny at least at the borders of his county. He can't do anything in the next county. I have a friend up in the Barry County, Michigan, sheriff, his name slips my mind right now. But anyway, when COVID hit and the insane governor of Michigan said, you can't buy seeds to plant a garden. You can't buy paint to paint your house. You can't do any of these things. I restrict. I say you can't do this and you got to close your churches and all this. He said, this is Sheriff Darlief said to his county residents, none of that is constitutional.

35:10None of that is an accordance with our U.S. Constitution, nor is it an accordance with our Michigan state constitution. Therefore none of that will allow to be enforced here in Barry County. You keep your stores open. You can sell seeds. Well, paint, none of those things from that crazy governor are law. We're sticking by the law that I swore to uphold. I swore to the U.S. Constitution. I swore to the Michigan state constitution. That's the law, not that stupid governor in the governor's mansion. And so you're right. Of course he had not only his deputies, those hired, but a positive citizens as well, to help him against the onslaught that might come from the state police who might come into his county to try to enforce the edict of the governor. And that going to state police in my view should not exist. But anyway, that's a whole other argument. So it is possible that you're right. The militias have been destroyed at the state level. According to Ed Villera, great researcher and constitutional attorney, I believe he said

36:14there is no state that actually has a constitutional functioning militia, which is going to odd because there's five times in our constitution that militia is stated. And it's stated to be necessary. Many things are optional, but militia is necessary to a free state. And you're going to lose your freedom and liberty without a militia. So, but a militia can be established under the sheriff at the county level. And that would be a great encouragement if you're voting on your sheriff this coming November. That'd be one of the questions you asked him. You ever thought? Yeah, I've glad you brought that up. That's brilliant. We often speak about the right to bear arms in the Second Amendment. But the first clause is a well regulated militia being necessary to secure to the security of a free state. It's right there. No. And so the right to bear arms is a sort of an offshoot of a support mechanism for the militia.

37:16Right. And each of us over the age of 18 basically are part of the militia, but we don't have an organized militia. Funny and Maryland's a constitution that mentions the militia organized and then the voluntary militia so that our state constitution actually recognizes, you know, if the county or the state doesn't organize the militia, which they're supposed to do, it's their duty. Well, then the citizens, we the people can set about and organize a volunteer militia. But you're right. You mention that. You're a crazy one-eyed whack job and you're a very dangerous terrorist and all these kinds. And that's by plan and purpose that the militias have been demonized because you cannot take control of a country until you disarm the people. One of the things I think many people make a mistake is they think our liberties are

41:25on autopilot. You know, you show up every four years and you click the right buttons in the voting booth and it's going to go no. Our founder said, you've got a fight for your liberty. You've got to stay in the fight, man. And Woody, that's why I'm so thankful for you and you are a mobility staying in the fight for restoring our Republic. You were mentioning in the break that reaching young people really critically important. We need to reach the next generation and you were saying that the wedding you attended reminded you of that. It did. Thank you for the opportunity. Shamelessly, a brag on my daughter. She was married this weekend in a sort of a nom, you know, I got to be careful here with my words. But a church denomination that has some controversy associated with it. Maybe that's a general way of expressing it. It was an Episcopal church in suburban DC and it was a formal wedding and praise God.

42:27My wife's a believer in her fiancee and now husband is a believer. But she told us yesterday that debriefed with some of their core friends that two of the guys told the groomsmen that they had a completely new lease on their faith as a result of attending the service and that they are recommitting themselves to the church again and rather than do it as you well know David. And so the pastor must break your heart too that a lot of these kids are getting married and you know meadows and having somebody that's not a believer read personal vows. They have nothing to do with the scripture. But a lot of them heard this and were moved by it. The pastor was a very humble, very God-fearing, faithful to scripture guy and doesn't buy into any of the cultural nonsense that the Episcopal church has fallen into. So they had a great harvest.

43:29They believe that there will be a great harvest as a result of this. So we continue to pray for everyone to come to faith in Christ and recognize that he is the way the truth of life nobody comes to the Father but by him. But have their lives transformed as Jesus told Nicodemus that you have to be completely changed human being or you're not going to come into my eternal destiny for you. There's a change that is required to do it. And so anyway I was really blessed and encouraged by that not just because she's my daughter but because of the faithfulness of the fellow that ran the service and the faith of the bride and groom. I believe there will be a harvest as a result of it. So I think this applies to the Constitution and applies to we keep pouring ourselves out and by faith. We have a prayer call but by the way if you don't mind me mentioning prayer call daily.

44:29Sure, it is. Yeah. Daily at two o'clock on, it's true our free conference call channel. It's loud and loud and liberty. There's a channel on free conference call that we pray on daily for our country for there to be a great awakening. I watched and I don't know if you've seen the movie about George Whitfield that came out and made it. Yes, excellent. Yes. His interaction with Benjamin Franklin. Yeah, yes, exactly. In it, he quotes passage in second or third, a fusion second of a fusions two or three that awaken is awaken you. Oh, sleepers come out from the grave and receive the light of Christ and paraphrasing there. But that is that is what America needs. And have a great awakening and people see that their eternal destinies in jeopardy without

45:34Christ and that they can change the world when they surrender. Amen. And really our founders admitted that the form of government they were their destruction would only work with a Christian people. Our second president John Adams put it this way, our constitution was made only for a moral and religious and by religious, he wasn't referring to various Hinduism, Buddha. He was referring to the various orthodox branches of Christianity. Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the governance of any other because the maximum liberty is provided in this structure. Individuals need to be self governed by God's law. That is, they believe I shall not I will not steal. I will not commit adultery. I will not lie. I will not do all these evil things. I will not commit murder. So if you have a community of people who have repented of their sins, believe the Bible to be God's word from start to finish and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, as you're saying, they're born again.

46:35They've had a brand new life started. They're going to live in a very different fashion. And so you might not worry about somebody breaking into your house because if the community's all questions, nobody's tempted to steal. It's not in their thinking to even do that. But if you live in a community where stealing is the belief system of the people there, you're going to have a lot of problems and go have to double trip a lock your door and put security systems everywhere. You're not going to be safe and you're not going to get to enjoy freedom because you know that the people in your community do not have God's self government within them that they obey God's law from the heart. So that's really what our founders were designing this constitutional republic for, which means we need to share the gospel. We need to bring people to true faith in Christ and make the disciples. That's part of essentially what we need as well to restore our republic. Now, it may be an opportunity for another conversation on another day and another show about

47:38what do we do with the clauses in the Constitution say that there's no religious test. Madison was very clear about in Virginia not allowing a state religion and granted you're absolutely right. He was focused on the assumption is that everybody was Christian, but we've gotten to the point now where I think your distinction about a moral people is very important rather than defining it as a Christian. Now, you and I would agree that without doubt that a foreign again Christian is a trustworthy individual that's going to do what they say they're going to do and et cetera. But we're now we've got every by design, we've got every you know, strain of religious activity

48:41going on in America. So maybe the way around it is to say a moral people. I don't know it's a can of worms when you get into it. It's not an easy answer there. And there's a good a history behind that because it was a time before the 14th Amendment when each state could establish its own standard of citizenship. So for example, in Maryland, unless you were a Christian and profess Jesus Christ as Savior believed the Bible to be God's Word and believed in heaven and hell, you could not be a citizen. You're going to be here. Your rights would be protected, but you couldn't vote. You're going to pay taxes and so forth, but you weren't going to have a place in the government because unless you are a believer in Jesus Christ and believe the Bible to be God's Word, they wouldn't trust you with that power. Obviously, that changed. I think it was in the 1830s. They said, okay, we're going to include Jewish people as part of that. And now basically the standard is not there. Although curiously in our Maryland Constitution, you'll still see some phrases that at this

49:45time have been preserved. I mean, there's people trying to erase them out of our Constitution every year that talk about a person cannot be a juror if they don't believe in the existence of God. So currently in our Maryland Constitution, atheists, sorry, we can't trust you because your oath is to who? You're swearing you're going to do what? We won't trust you. You're an atheist. Secondly, not only if you didn't believe in God, you couldn't be a juror, but if you didn't believe in eternal rewards or eternal punishments, in other words, you didn't believe in heaven and hell, we're going to not trust you as a juror because you may do things as a juror that if you believe God's going to judge you on judgment day, we can trust you. But if you don't believe there's any judgment day comment, we're not going to trust you as a juror. So interesting that some of those phrases all the way back from 1776 are still preserved in our Constitution and reflect that Christian standard that was there, but you're right. That's a longer conversation. We ought to have it another time because if we're a bit part of it, just a quick add-on to

50:47what you said is that the preposterous notion of a Muslim putting their hand on the Quran which is a wicked document is being, I would have, 20 years ago if you'd asked me that if that was possible, I'd say, can't possibly be impossible. And here it is, it's happening willingly everywhere with these folks. Yeah. And the people who are true Marxists are atheists because Karl Marx claimed there is no God and his whole system is built on the idea that there is no God which actually makes the government God. The government is in control of everything. The government owns all the property in a sense every person in that system is a slave to the Marxist government. So yeah, it's a very anti-Christian system. We got Marxists all over Congress and Marxist running for office with the DSA. This go round that flat out are atheists and we should never trust such a person in a position of power.

51:48So you're right. We, having lost the perspective of our founders on what the purpose of government is, what the essential belief system of anybody you will trust to be in government. Here is a creator God, our rights come from him. The only purpose of government is to protect those God-given rights. Well, if you don't believe God exists, that whole system is out the door. And if you don't believe that he is the one who determines right and wrong, well, then you have no liberty left because, you know, first time 51% of the people vote against your property to steal your property or vote against your life to say, oh, everybody over the age of 60, we need just to kill them. We'll kill them on Monday morning at dawn, you know? And a 50% plus one vote for that. Well, then that, in a democracy, that becomes the law. And that's the opposite of what our founder said. I know there is an eternal law, God's law. It's the standard of right and wrong. And you have a God-given right to life because the creator said thou shalt not murder. And so really our entire system is built upon that biblical foundation.

52:52And if you pull that foundation away, the whole thing collapses. And so we need a spiritual revival as well as a constitutional revival to understand and restore this constitutional republic. And you open up to the key thing that we've lost track of. Even in the churches, frankly, is this whole distinction between moral relativism and absolute truth. Relative, you can have your own truth. So that's just actually untrue. I can't. Because if you said, you know, your truth, my truth, her truth, what happens if you say black is white and I say, no, no, no, white is white and black is black. And then all of a sudden, it's like, well, you're down to an atomized individual living in your own world. And you really can't have any reaction with anybody else. And you obviously can't have a government because a government requires cooperation between all the parts involved and there can't be any cooperation if you don't even have truth

53:56as the basis for that. So you're right. That philosophy of relativism is another attack at the very foundations of our constitutional republic. And you lose relativism. And you know, what our founders stated that there is an absolute standard of right and wrong. And that standard is given to us by the creator. And we are seeking to follow that standard and enforce that standard thou shalt not murder, thou shalt not steal and so on. And obviously if there's no truth, how can you define stealing? You know, well, I'm just borrowing it. I'm going to borrow this guy's car for a couple of days. You know, then I'll do whatever I want with it. But you know, everything is up for grabs and there's no liberty, only anarchy. And I think we see that kind of anarchy this summer of 2020. We see that kind of anarchy going on in the cities to this day in Baltimore, just north of where I live. You know, they stole 10,000 vehicles last year, 10,000 vehicles stolen in the Baltimore,

54:58mostly by kids, teenagers below the age of 14. Because the city of Baltimore will do nothing with a 13 year old when they steal somebody's automobile. And even, even it's never returned. They stole it and sold it or whatever. And they'll do nothing. They'll go to the slap on the hand. They won't even go to Juvie Court. They just dismiss them, send them back to their parents. So the next day, what do they do? They go out and steal another car and steal another car. It's just absolute anarchy and chaos results when you don't have those standards of God's law that the civil government is seeking to enforce. And the sad thing is that history shows us that people will not tolerate that kind of anarchy for very long. It gets to a point where they'll demand tyranny to end the anarchy. And that's the loss of free of everyone. We were our men's Bible study was into Genesis 6 this morning. It's a reminder of the spiritual warfare that is going on around us that we have no idea.

55:58Churches don't talk about this. But I believe that the Michael Heisler gets a lot of credit for this. But there's some other guys that have studied it carefully and believe that the Nephilim actually existed. And they were destroyed in the flood. It wasn't as if we get the so-and-so-the-bath tub version of Noah's Ark thinking that it was just a kid's story. But there was wickedness beyond any description on this earth when that came about. And the spirits still exist. And I think that did run to me 32. It speaks about the spirits. The bodies of the Nephilim were destroyed. But the spirits still exist.
