It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name, O most

high, Psalm 92-1, Dear Heavenly Father, I do not just offer praise to you, just because

you are worthy, but because it is also good for my soul.

I am created for praise, carefully woven together to experience harmony with you.

When I worship you, I am living out my soul purpose in life, so may every breath within

me be praise to you.

May every step I take and move I make be for your namesake.

My friends, welcome to your meditative prayer,

on morning gratitude. To get the most out of your spiritual journey, use pray.com every day

and make prayer a priority in your life. Our goal for today's meditative prayer is morning

gratitude. This morning, go to your secret place. A place where you can relax and let your guard down.

Try to tune out everything else. Breathe in deep through your nose and exhale out through your

mouth. Reach towards God with your mind and with your heart. This morning we'll be meditating

on Psalm 92 verse 1 from the King James version. It reads, it is a good thing to give thanks unto

the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name almost high. Take a moment to pour out your adoration

to God. Heavenly Father, I worship you for you are the God of God's and the Lord of

Lords, the great, the mighty and the awesome God. I praise you for all that is in the heavens

and the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

You are the king of all kings and you are to be feared above all gods. You are great

and greatly to be praised. The Bible teaches us that gratefulness towards God is a good thing.

However, being grateful isn't always easy as life isn't always good.

Life is filled with challenges and chaos. Unexpected circumstances and unforeseen loss.

Things happen that make life seem unfair and unjust. Sometimes you feel you are carrying the

weight of the world on your shoulders. Sometimes you even try to, but you shouldn't.

You are not made to carry this burden. It does not belong to you. So lift up to God those

situations that seem to be getting the best of you. Be honest and open with God in prayer.

Confess to Him what is hurting you and hampering your gratitude towards Him.

And now think for a minute, on all the times, God poured out His goodness over you.

Unattainable and undeserved blessings, God gave you simply because He loves you.

Think of past challenges that seemed impossible and improbable. Nonetheless, God made you

the victor over them. Think of past situations with no way out until God made away.

Moments you thought would be your last yet somehow you survived. The reality is, God is good all the time.

So thank Him for all the past blessings He has bestowed upon your life.

Thank Him for all the promises He has made you and for all the fulfillment to come.

God is present and He is listening to you.

Be mindful that being grateful is a commitment and a choice.

God never said life would be easy but He promised to be there every step of the way.

He sent the Holy Spirit to be your helper. He wants you to succeed.

So ask the Holy Spirit to help you be grateful. Ask Him for willingness to press on even when life

gets rough. Ask Him to teach you to recognize God's greatness in your life in all circumstances.

And ask Him to help you acknowledge God's goodness every day and in every way.

Remember, it's a good thing to be thankful to God and to sing His praises.

Even in the midst of hardship, God is still good and He is still in control.

God promised He would always care and always provide for you.

He promised His blessings will overrun you. So do not be afraid.

Live in gratitude to God and watch His blessings manifest in your life.
