Hello everyone, Charles. We'll see you working back to it inside Arsenal. It is Wednesday evening. It is Champions League night and it is a successful one for Arsenal one. They'll win in Naples beating Napoli. One nail just about just about got there in the end didn't we? It felt for a long time, a long time like that was going to be one of those nights when you just see unbelievable chances missed. And then someone goes and nicks one in at the other end and you don't get the win that you absolutely deserve. But thanks to the captain, thanks to Martin Ode to guard, we got there in the end. What a goal it was, by the way, lovely goal. Continuing his fantastic form that he's shown so far this season. But yeah, it was a long time coming. It was definitely a long time coming. This isn't going to be a particularly long live stream. My children are asleep trying to get to sleep upstairs.

So I don't want to be down here too long because I'll probably end up keeping them awake. But I thought, Popon, just a immediate sort of reaction stream. We'll do the usual review show in the morning, looking at things a lot more in depth. See what we're going to say afterwards in the press conference. That sort of thing. But he'll be very happy because this was it was a good, Arsenal performance. I mean they created, I just looked at the numbers. XG of over four away from home in the Champions League at Napoli and you create you have an XG of over four at the end of the game shows the quality of chances that they created and the quality of chances that they missed during a strange, strange game. This was proper proper allegory ball from Napoli. It was super, super defensive. I mean, this was the lowest of low blocks at times for them. You could see what they were trying to do. So I was going to be a bit of a bit of a suck-ass or win for a straight them and then hit the ball long to Hoi Berg. Is it Hoi Berg? No, it's not even his right name. What's his name? The old man in the eye striker. Tell me in the comments, not Hoi Berg. That was the old spurs player.

It's going to re-bug me. Come on quickly. Someone in the comments tell me the former man in the eye striker who plays up front for Napoli who's known as just completely gone out of my head. Hoi Berg. There you go. Thank you. You were first up there. Thank you very much for that. Rasmus Hoi Berg. Of course it is. So yes, that was their game plan. You could sell just hit the ball to him as quickly as possible. I mean, I was going to be a bit of a bit of a loss and see if they could frustrate Arsenal on the other end. They couldn't really frustrate Arsenal on the other end because Arsenal created so many good chances. I just missed over and over and over again. I knew when Sakal missed that chance just before half time. That it was just going to be one of those days or it felt like it was going to be one of those days because that was such a strange unbechaied Sakal out finish to get on that position on his left foot. I was convinced it must have taken a bobble. But it didn't. He just skydived at Marino. I had missed a really good chance. Obviously in the first half as well before that when he put his head straight at the goalkeeper after a really nice move.

Good head back from from Ezair. There was other chances. I mean, he can't pay Mr. Sitter early on in the second half as well. Just chance after chance after chance when missing even at the end after the goal when Matt away came in through. He had the shot saved and Solis had one cleared off the line. It was just a yeah collection of good opportunities. But at the end of the day, you win. You go away from home in the Champions League first game in a season of tricky time like Napoli is and you win that game. When it won now, I think it would be very, very happy with that. And the boys will come home feeling pretty good about themselves ahead of the game against Sunlund. So I'm going to sort of just run through my immediate reaction on the match itself. I won't do my ratings today. I'll do my ratings in the show in the morning. Go through a few bits piece of what you guys are saying. I can still see loads of you in the chat already. As I've said, he says they're the calls for selling out. It seems so ridiculous now. I mean, what's the start to the season from the captain unbelievable start as four goals now. He scored two counties going to community shield already scored one. Entireity of last season. He scored four already. We're not even at the end of September another assist for Solis today. Set it up the captain got real good partnership going those two.

And yes, just a brilliant start to the season from the captain absolutely fantastic. Exactly what you want for him. We saw it in the World Cup. When Norway just started to look a bit revitalized. Look like the might know the guard that we've you know many of us sort of question not myself. I have to admit. I didn't think you play very well last season, but I never questions is quality and always thought he would come back. But I know there's quite a few that didn't. But yeah, he certainly reminded us all of his unbelievable quality of just how important he can beat to this team. I think the most pleasing thing about his goal tonight was the way he hit it. Striking a ball like that that cleanly. We've seen that sort of disappear from Oda guard's games certainly last season when he was sort of snatching a chances a little bit of previous two seasons really, whereas that quality of ball striking just didn't seem to be there for Oda guard, whether that was sort of issues of his ankle or whatever. But the way he struck that today so true is just to play a full of confidence. I love that finish. Absolutely love that finish. Having the comments here says great game from Conzer as well. Yeah, I thought he was excellent. Conzer wasn't put under too much pressure because like I said, Napoli didn't do too much, but when they did get the ball forward quickly at times.

Conzer was so strong, so calm, read the ball so well. Pretty much everything that Saliba does. That sort of calm, composed edge. And he's just shown how important a sign in he's been. There was a lot of question marks. I wasn't overly keen on this sign in when it first started to emerge to Arsenal or GAN for Conzer. But I'm already in humble pile now. Not for the first time. I have to say I think a lot of people are as well because the way he slotted into his team so seamlessly and the fact he's had to do it because Moscar has been injured as well. Conzer's not there. We're already scrambling around at the back for players. So, so yeah, that's another positives from today's his performance just sort of backed up the good performance yet against Chelsea as well. So let's just go over the game sort of immediately shall we sort of settled into a real sort of. Just a sort of passive play, I think that sort of lasted for the remainder of the game. It's just Arsenal with the ball constantly moving it constantly probed it naplicated and so deep.

I'm going to say so deep. I'm basically on the edge of their 18 yard box. A lot of time it was very, very hard for Arsenal to find any space in around the area. They were cycling it, trying to pull. Naplow position. They were patient, which I thought I saw very, very good at throughout the whole game, even when the chances were sort of going begging. They never really seemed to run out of patience. They were constantly probing constantly going going again, going again, going again, and then that first half they did create a couple of really good opportunities. One for Marino. I think it was sack as ball to the back post as I did well sort of drift off there and send the header across and there was good you expect Marino to score from there, but it's straight at the goalkeeper. I think it was a good contact on the ball, but straight at the keep anywhere else. He probably scores there. First start for Marino, obviously first off for Ezra as well. My predicted 11 completely wrong, completely wrong. In comes Yorkehrez didn't expect that. He started as they started Marino started and in capiay started. So all four of those were making their first starts of a season. It was quite interesting from our tether. Really is more, more changes than I thought.

At the end in this morning show that I think the billbowl game last season, which is our first away game in the Champions League, first actual game in the whole league phase last season. He only made one change from the Premier League game immediately before it, and I figured it would probably be similar this time around, but he shook things up more. Four changes today, that certainly signs that he wants to use his squad more, even in trickier waygames in this stage of season, which is promising. Because I think that's one issue we've always felt that our tether has in terms of not rotating maybe enough that enough that he should, but he did today. Like step marino shot at that chance to make it one they all didn't take it and then the sack on just before half time. And that was a big, big opportunity there slipped in. I think it was oh to go again a lovely ball for him. I think the flag went up somehow. He was miles on the side and he didn't see the flag was up and he tried to stick it away, but he just got it all wrong. I was convinced it the bobbled but the replay was no, but we just got it all wrong. Put it high and wide. Not a typical sack of finish on his left fertile, which is really, really disappointing.

It's a last one in sort of nil nil and really, really, there should have been at least one goal up probably to at that point. And then when he capiates blazed one over from about two yards, been a couple of minutes and a second half, you just like, oh no. But to their credit again, there was patient from arson was constant buildup whenever odorgos on the board, they look at they might make something happen. The girls started to make changes, which I think actually worked. And again, it just shows a strength and depth that arson will have when you make some of the changes that they did, you know, solid came on Bruno, get Marish came on, made away K came on, have us came on. It was just, you know, just throwing bombs off the bench, basically. And eventually they got the goal and as a brilliant goal brilliant finish like I said, the way struck that ball. So so promising solace again involved have a thought made a big, big difference when he came on as a tough night for Yoccares tough. I mean, it's hard for Yoccares because when you're playing a team, managed by a legria who decide to play such a low block at home, you know what Yoccares, strengthen, sort of trying to run the channels, create space for himself, create shooting opportunities on his right foot.

It was so hard for him to do that. So he just couldn't get in the game. I saw a start. I think he had, he had less touches. He was on the pitch for about 75 minutes. Have us on the pitch for 15 have us have more touches than him in the game. You know, just couldn't get into it at all. And the goal came just after it got off. Actually, but I did think have us made a difference just the just in the game is just involved more and pulls teams apart more and create space. So it was a good little cameo from from him and yeah, so one nail chances again after that to win it. Madaway came through should have made it to Neil didn't keep him a good save solace his follow up is blocked online solace had another one lay on. That was saved had have us put in the net goes off sides to the golden count could have could have thrown it away at the end Kevin DeBroiner was slipped in decided not to shoot pulled it across. There was no one there probably should have taken the shot in that situation. He didn't it would have been a absolute smash and grab from Napoli if they had. But he didn't and it's one they'll win to start the Champions League season. So good away victory for Arsenal.

Let's see who's in the chat then marks in the chats and SW is here Jerry saying good evening. Controversy media is here. Tommy says Odom fire once again one nil to the Arsenal Noah saying come on you gunners Andy big up Mr. What's big up Andy. I was always coming to that Andrew I did feel that was good I did feel it was coming I have to say it wasn't. I wasn't I was going to say put in my hair out I haven't got much hair to pull out but you know I mean I wasn't even when the clock sort of hit 70 75 of course you start to think it's not going to happen. But I was always fairly calm because just a sheer weight of opportunities and good opportunities were creating you felt like something someone was going to stick one away. At some point that as Jerry says we should we should score five we certainly certainly left some goals out there today. No doubt about that Noah says captain was fantastic again.

Come on Alamudi can't be complaining about my no to God tonight doesn't shoot enough me had a lot of shots tonight might know to God. And no it says captain was fantastic again. Lucy says we need a better might know to God song that ring the round the Emirates he deserves one. Donnie thanks for being here donnie you say oh to God spectacular cons of solid but there's no denying our finishing was shocking yes it was one of those games to be fair though I'm finishing has been very good I think on the whole this season. So I was certainly a night where they were lacking in front of goal no doubt about it. Patrick says oh to God must a fit he is irreplaceable. Stat here from decaf said prior to the match against a store no opposition team had registered 25 or more shots against Napoli at the steady od a go on and over on it in recent modern history well there you go. Should I look at what the stats were for tonight while I'm on here let me have a look at the final stats and opt would have probably put them out by the honest have a look.

Might know to God's match winning goal for us not against Napoli ended a 29 pass move which involved 10 of their players well that's a that's a good stat there first of all. Have we got a final Arsenal stats up I don't think we do yet. No we don't. See what Scott has to say Scott will it so can and stats will do the business. Here we go his Scott stats of the year so expected goals 0.3 for Napoli 4.1 for Arsenal 26 shots to 5 the overall stats there so there you go as decaf say and no one had registered 25 or more shots in recent modern history against Napoli until tonight until Arsenal 26 shots shot accuracy for Arsenal was 30% and a Napoli who only had five shots there actually was 60%.

So that's certainly something for Arsenal to work on there another game without a set piece goal for Arsenal what are all the moaners going to say about that. Say it's get back to what you guys have been saying DJ Ashbeez has could have been a rugby score tonight game change with the subs solis and Bruno etc if he Cape Town says captain fan. I don't remember game with so many six beat miss I tell you what game this reminded me of and this is for people of my sort of age but in 90 it must be 90. I played for a tina in a group stage we drew one of all car new scored a penalty and we can see did a late equalizer and we went there we played really well no we didn't score a penalty I think can't miss the penalty and he ended up we ended up dropping points we either lost or it was nil nil can't miss the penalty later on and we just had so many chances away from home and didn't take them it was kind of I was just thinking of that game a lot.

I think that was our first away game of that can't champion league campaign as well. The D.Ca says saccharo overhead kick was good. To have from Chicago in good to have you here to have. And I said wise Bruno G not starting games I think at the moment I was not just very careful with. Obviously the injuries early on have been frustrating for him and I think Arsenal now sort of looked at that the world we we brought about pretty quickly for the estimate of the game maybe shouldn't have done that got himself another injuries and now they've been really really careful with him but I think he'll certainly be starting games very very soon. What else we got in the in the chats loads of praise as you can imagine for for Ode to God, Ode to God, generally looking back to his best says Tommy our skipper can just keep it going. You know, hands as we look amazing.

Noon and Dino, you know, Dini also Celebel struggle to get his place back with cons of play like this. I mean you can't get bigger praise than that. Can you Celebel struggle to get to play so I don't think you will. I think Celebel will get his place back when he comes back but I know exactly what you mean by that for the way cons are started. It's the biggest compliment you can pay him is a is a comment like that. You know the celeb of my struggles get his place back or it looks like asked one missing Celebel you know you can't get bigger compliments and that because we all know how good Celebel is a fair play to a to Ezra Conzer. I think a lot of people are saying this I need to repent says nothing I wrote our captain off last season. Good shout from offset B three assists now for solace for Ode to God certainly good little. Good little partnership for me then I don't know about this brin. Said what do you think of last minute decision not to start not he was I don't know I'm not sure what there was when I saw I don't know where it came from I saw people suggesting that but I haven't seen where that came from I don't know if Michaela said something before the game but I will

say I don't know if he's at his press conference yet if you may be be asked about it but no I have no idea of see I'm not over there at the moment so I don't know what people are saying about it. I didn't expect not need to start a I have to say. What was the impressive to bring us as what a player he still is I can't help imagine how things would have gone if it played for us rather than the city do not rise. There's a lot of players we can say that about. Donnie says I do got in comms of the clear stands out. And then H H R R says tonight prove why car is number one strike a play better as soon as he came on I mean I don't know we needed tonight to prove the guys are number one strike a but I know what you mean I do again though I do felt I feel a bit sorry for for your Chris because that game was just not for him it wasn't I'm not sure what I think he would have expected.

A legory to be fairly defensive because it's a legory but. I don't think you would expect it napily to play quite that deep today if he had if he had really thought that I think he probably would have started to have us because it just was not your car is game you just doesn't have to. I don't know if it doesn't have to start to play the game to be able to really impact again when when the defense is sitting that deep all around the edge of the penalty area. We'll pain wasn't happy with as a as a poor and I'm sorry I don't see Madawike improving I thought I mean obviously Mr good chance but I thought Madawike played quite well when he came on to be honest but yeah it did Mr good opportunity. Civil salad says we need more competent nor more sort of rotation so no complaints polar gala is very happy solid away winning the champions league he says. Not sure McClellan's going to have a look quickly see if her McClellan's been saying anything yet in his press conference a couple of quotes here for instance right from the beginning we attack the game the shame is that the performance and chances we generated does not reflect on the score line.

I think the chemistry especially in the front players has been exceptional early quotes beginning to come out from Michaela tesa there like I said in tomorrow's proper review show go over a lot more in depth what Michaela had to say. Jelly belly said he caught a live one meal to the Arsenal. Fortunately this is a live where I'm having to lower my voice a little bit because my kids are asleep or trying to get to sleep above me and so it's not proper it doesn't feel like proper live where I can properly let myself go trying to keep my voice down. Civil salad and other one is this should be in five nil. The dump says that was a stroll in the park. Not too busy I presume from Norway says the Norwegians coming through for their respective English clubs yet of course harland with a double yesterday and then. Chris guy is catching the live alright Chris Lane you're doing.

I mean I mean it's hard to choose me how many amazing nights did we have everywhere across England and I be for and everywhere watching the two of them back in the day. I was always an army boy they Chris when I who both were good as yesterday was got to be army got to be army. A. Z says non he needs to put this score in boots Casey Lundys in the chat said I kept him was sensational finishing was wofl tonight though I think we really do need a top class attacker who can finish. Because we don't have one I mean we've been saying after a long time though we have been saying for a long time oh your cries your cries is a is a more is a top class finisher. I'm sorry if supposed to be more years good finisher. I just think with way we play I just don't I don't know I don't know like again I think I think I think I'm finishing has been good so far this season tonight obviously was not.

I'm. Japan and China different countries as Charles would you look to move on your careers in January we can sign a better strike for the system well if you're if you're offering me. Who you now for as in in January for the two of course and I'm definitely 100% taking the average unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen in January. So I'd be surprised if we see something. If we see something that big happen in January but. I have a certainly asked number one strike and there's no doubt about that. What else do we got I'm going to call time in a minute guys because I'm very aware of how. How quiet I'm having to be where it certainly feels like in this room how quiet I'm I'm having to be. I'm really but he says did you see Sam's tweet about Ben White Charles I didn't once he had to say let me have a look.

Sam says. Ben White was walking very gingerly as he made his way to the tunnel after the full time whistle he went off about 10 minutes to go didn't he. It was very hot there though I was talking to people who are there say it was really really human in the ground I think it was about sort of 27 28 degrees. Some of the players are absolutely Naka I thought that from rice did might know to the ground on full time whistle. I think Marina looked absolutely Naka as well so I think the heat probably tickets told a little bit so fingers crossed it's just a bit fatigue rather than any sort of any sort of injury. I think we've got some more quotes coming from Micheal on might know to guard says that's what we need players with that mindset to decide the game to play with that personality and keep taking risks he is getting in those positions much more in recent games. It was an incredible goal tonight so lots of praise from the manager for Micheal are Teta. Absolutely deservedly name the champions Lee Claire the match as well the Arsenal captain tonight which is no great surprise.

See a few other bits and pieces of what Micheal had to say after the game Micheal said very very happy the way we attack from the first minute way we competed the clarity we had how we had to attack them how we had to disorganize them purpose quality amount of chances we generated for sure. The scoreline has to reflect a very different result we will get there because we are a bit more precise it should have been a much much bigger margin but what we've done today in this stadium is remarkable for me. See if he was asked about any injuries or anything like that asked about Ben White know wasn't it was just mainly mainly all about Martin Odegard in the press conference like I said I'll go through those a lot more later on today. Chris says non he played well but his critics will only remember the miss in a circle says non his misses the only thing that really matters I don't think that's necessarily true.

But obviously when you're in that position you've got a score and unless non he starts to take those chances pretty regularly is always going to have the criticism that he has no end products and it's always been the issue with him. And what we over season in now is not really put that to bed at all people are still saying it so that's a shame it's going to need to sort it out because you can't miss those opportunities you've got to take them no doubt about it anyway look I'm going to call time this now everyone I will be back in the morning to do the proper review show. Go all that if you want to get involved in that leave me your thoughts on the game who impressed you didn't all that sort of stuff as usual get into the comments do it. I'll pull some of them together and get them included in tomorrow's show where I have player ratings but cannot have to reaction your reaction and a whole lot more take it easy enjoy what's left of your evening. I'll speak to you soon bye bye.
